Practical and helpful!
This podcast has been amazing! I have learned so much and I actually feel like it’s something I could now do and benefit from! Katie explains everything so thoroughly and practically and in a way that helps me plan to travel with my family. Thank you so much, Katie!

Thorough, practical
Katie’s style is easy to follow. She explains so well that I’m not left with questions. She’s also down-to-Earth. She recognizes that many of us are traveling with families & aren’t accruing enough points to fly business class or stay at the Park Hyatt. Props to Katie for being so helpful & generous in her patient explanations. She’s a real one!

Great tips
I do love this podcast for the great tips and information. I had to knock a point because the way that the episodes are organized (on the Apple Podcasts app at least) is really confusing. Often I can see that a new episode was posted, but I can’t find it in the seasons. I get that they’re being organized by seasons/topics, but listening to these as they come out is a challenge tbh.

Eye Opening
This podcast is extremely informative and eye opening about how you can earn and redeem credit card miles. Katie’s voice tone and cadence is excellent. She explains everything very clearly and at a good speed and even gets into very small details. She also provides the latest information on card changes so you can stay up to date. I am going to put some of her advice into action and hope to earn 100,000s miles so I can cover travel costs for my family. Thank you Katie!

A real person!
Katie is so awesome and helpful! She’s posting genuine and honest content and not just the glossy “everything is always perfect” fluff of travel influencers. I’ve learned so much from her and her team!

Points for Normal People Podcast has been SO helpful
I love this podcast as well as website, free course and social media. I have learned so much and have saved so much money from “Points for Normal People” and Katies Travel Tricks. The emailed newsletter often has a lot of savings opportunities as well - highly recommend that. And they are very responsive. Highly recommend Points for Normal People.

Truly helpful
I don’t normally leave podcast reviews. But I appreciate Katie’s take on so many angles of the points and miles world that I felt compelled to write this one. Katie takes a very thorough yet down to earth approach to explain all the details and nuances of differ points systems and strategies. I’m a seasoned points person, and I’m still learning things from Katie! I’m grateful for this podcast!

Covers ALL the info
I love listening to this podcast (& following on Instagram) for all the tips and tricks of travel hacking. She’s very methodical and tells you exactly what can/can’t be done so you can decide if each strategy will or will not work for you.

Incredible
Katie is a phenomenal teacher. She has an incredible ability to take what feels like overwhelming amounts of points and miles information and turn it into content that is clear, approachable, and actually doable. Instead of feeling buried in details, you walk away with confidence and a solid understanding of how everything works. She explains complex concepts in a way that makes sense, anticipates questions before you even ask them, and provides practical strategies you can immediately use. Her teaching style is engaging, organized, and empowering, making a complicated topic feel accessible for everyone, regardless of experience level.

Trusted, Practical Travel Advice
Points for Normal People is one of the best travel podcasts I’ve ever listened to. Katie shares information in a clear, organized, and easy-to-understand way. Because of her podcast, my family of six has been able to afford travel that once felt completely unattainable. I truly trust her insights and recommendations—she consistently shares the best credit cards and strategies to save money on travel, even when they may not earn her the most affiliate revenue. She is a true gem in the world of points and miles education.

Beginners, start here
If you’re new to this hobby Katie is the best place to start. She is an expert at points and cards, but can break it down into the most basic terms. I trust her because she doesn’t blindly promote every card. She’s honest, knowledgeable, and willing to share in this podcast and IG.

Start here if you’re interested in points and miles. Katie truly makes it all so easy to follow and I’d recommend this podcast to anyone who wants an easy to understand approach. I wish I had her podcast years ago (and her website too).

Point Newbie
This podcast is fantastic. I’ve listened to every episode myself and since I can’t stop talking all about the things I’ve learned, I’ve recommended it to friends and family (who also love it). One friend just saved 16,000 sw points on the second day of listening. If you are new to the points world it can be overwhelming, but start here. You won’t regret it. Even better when I have any questions I reach out and someone always gets back to me. Katie and her team are the best!

Love this podcast!
Katie’s podcast is amazing. We jumped into the points world before she started a podcast. She has changed everything for us! I love how she encourages you to use points for what you want not just the best redemption. We love Disney and National Parks. There’s not always super great redemptions for that. But we’ve been to Disney World and Land 3 times in the last two years and are going three times this year - all on points! Thanks Katie!

Great Podcast for Beginners AND Novice points enthusiasts
I love Katie’s podcast! I’ve been in the points and miles game for a few years and consider myself a novice at this point. When she first released the podcast, I listened but didn’t expect to learn much, but I was wrong! She always seems to find little nuggets of information from each points program that other points people aren’t talking about. I also like that she keeps it real and doesn’t hype up every offer if she doesn’t think it makes sense for most people. My only complaint is that the podcast doesn’t come out weekly!

Katie always breaks it down
I love listening and re-listening to Katie’s explanations of the ever changing world of points! She also has the ability to bring down to earth when other point influencers push FOMO for their own benefit.

Life changing
Katie does all the hard work to make our lives easier! Not to sound dramatic- but her tips are LIFE CHANGING. Definitely give this show a listen if you are interested in learning how to travel on credit card points. You won’t regret it!

The only points podcast that makes sense when you have a family
I am so happy to have found Katie’s Travel Tricks. With a family of young kids, I’m not looking for ways to maximize point redemption value to fly international business. Katie explains things in an easy way where I can now take multiple trips a year with very little expense AND not feel guilty with the way I want to spend my points. Yes, some of the older content is now outdated due to a flurry of changes in 2025 but they still have a lot of useful tidbits. And no matter where you’re getting your information, it’s good practice to always double check before blindly following.

Intentional and smart!
This podcast is my favorite for the way the Katie breaks down the content. While I really wish she would produce more content (selfishly, lol, I would listen to her daily), I appreciate how intentional she is. Also! She is anti-FOMO so you never feel like she is pushing you to get certain cards like some other podcasts.

Thank you!
Katie keeps it simple and understandable for those of us who just want to travel with our families without a complex strategy or high business spend. Thank you!

So helpful
This is my favorite points and miles podcast (and I listen to several!) The information is presented in such a clear way, that makes it easy to which cards and opportunities would work for your family and which won’t. There’s definitely FOMO in this hobby but you don’t get that here- just practical advice esp for families.

Such a well done podcast
This podcast is awesome. The information is clear, accessible, and informative. Katie lays things out step by step in a way that helps you understand and begin planning nearly free trips for your people. You’d pay $600 for this same info if you signed up for an online class. Love this show. 5 stars for sure!

Truly Points For Normal People
I’ve been following Katie on IG for about a year. I listen to several different points podcasts but this one truly feels like it is for “normal people.” Short and easy to follow tips for us that are t influencers.

Easy and Digestible
Much like my meals, I need them easy and not make my tum tum upset. That, but in a podcast. The amount of knowledge I’ve taken from Katie’s podcast AND blog is immeasurable and I still can’t believe she gives away knowledge including an entire course (!!!!) for FREE. AND she cares about how humans are treated around the globe?! Sometimes I like to unfollow just so I can follow again harder. Can’t thank her enough!

Great travel tricks
Katie does a great job in breaking down complex topics into simple, easy to follow steps. I listen to several travel podcasts but I think I get the most out of hers.

Best points podcast
I’ve been listening for a year to Katie. She is so good at breaking down information simply. The biggest problem with the podcast is there are only three seasons (kind of joking). I’ve started listening to all of season one again and I’m so glad I decided to. There are a ton of details that I missed the first time through.

Life-changing
I am not kidding when I say that Katie’s advice has been life changing. My friends and family know I’ve taken on this hobby— which was criticized at first— and slowly turned into: “How are you doing this?? Show me your ways!!” Then I send them this podcast! We’ve been to Texas, Florida, Cancun and Vegas all in the past year. And in the next 3 months we have trips planned to California and Washington State. Plus taking advantage of local Hyatts for date weekends and gifting free nights to people. Travel should not just be for the wealthy. Through this podcast and Katie’s advice, our view of and access to the world around us has expanded more than I thought possible from diligently pursuing this hobby!!! Many thanks!!

Love Katie’s Podcast! So helpful for beginners. I just got my first card and I’m on my way to travel with points. Will you be adding new podcast episodes in the future?! I hope so! Thank you so much for all the helpful information :)

My Favorite Points Podcast—Hands Down!
I used to hate sitting in traffic—but now, I actually look forward to it just so I can listen to this podcast. Over the past year, I’ve listened to so many points and travel podcasts, but this one stands out by far. The way you explain how everything works—especially the Hyatt system—is incredibly clear and approachable. You just get it. What I appreciate most is that you’re not holding back the good stuff. Unlike others who tease the info unless you buy a course, you share real sweet spots and strategies freely. Thank you so much for creating such valuable content. I can’t wait to hear more, especially on international travel!

Incorrect and Outdated Information
I want to love this show. And I appreciate that it’s free, and lots of people spent time to make it, which is why I’m still giving it 4/5 stars. But when so many things in each episode are no longer relevant the show becomes useless. Capital One: lounge access has changed, you can no longer “travel erase” your $300 credit. And that’s just to start. I got the Venture X based on several of these shows and so much is just wrong. Perhaps that’s why other travel blogs don’t create static episodes about perks but rather only have written pieces. Also, please look up how to pronounce Qatar. It’s not “cutter” like gutter.

Analytical, and a great resource!
Finally found this podcast. I value that Katie really goes into details, and that she seems to provide unbiased feedback. Some other podcasters have seemed a bit too cozy with the banks and cheerlead every card equally. Katie seems to strike the right balance, providing honest feedback and also articulating some downsides to various approaches.
