The BEST business podcast, hands-down!
I rarely take the time to review things, but I just can’t help myself with this one. I LOVE this podcast and get stoked every time I see a new episode drop. It’s inspiring, educational, uplifting, entertaining…I could go on and on. I’ve been a full time entrepreneur for almost 5 years now and this podcast strikes every cord of my world. Loyal follower of these guys for life!

Great Show, but how to connect?
Let me just say that I think this show hits the nail on the head. It’s just great!! I took to listening to Guy Raz’s “How I Built This,” which has a totally different vibe. It’s measured but stifled. In comparison, this show is fun, boyish at times (which is awesome) and very meaty. I just wanna know how to ask direct questions of the hosts or their guests. What is the best way to reach out? Thanks so much

Hospitals don’t want to advertise in newspapers
Great that the newspaper biz still has life, but please don’t give people false hope about who their buyers would be. Most hospitals and health systems in the U.S. use digital marketing to reduce wasteful spending, especially because there are so many eyes on their spending outside of care delivery. A little bit of misleading info in that last episode, but still informative.

A big disappointing shift
I’ve been a longtime listener of My First Million, and what initially drew me in was the balance between entrepreneurial insight, real business case studies, and authentic, sometimes contrarian conversations. It felt like sitting in on genuinely valuable discussions — part entertainment, part education. Lately, though, the show seems to have drifted into “get rich quick” territory. There’s been a noticeable shift toward shallow business ideas, viral trends, and rapid-fire brainstorming sessions that prioritize hype over substance. What used to feel like thoughtful dives into building sustainable companies now often sounds like a pitch deck for the next gimmicky hustle. The chemistry between Sam and Shaan is still there, and I get that evolution is natural — but this recent pivot sacrifices depth for clickbait. I miss the more grounded conversations, the explorations of what really makes a business work long-term, not just what’s hot this week. I hope they recalibrate. The show has potential to be more than a sounding board for fast money schemes.

Raw milk
Hearing these guys talk about being excited to consume raw milk because it has warnings on it declaring Not Safe for Human Consumption and that appeals to their rebellious souls has me losing faith for humanity. What a deeply irresponsible thing to advocate for to such a large audience when the research leaves no room for doubt that raw milk is exceedingly dangerous.

Scott is a joke. Had the nerve to idolize Sam Harris, ridiculous

My favorite podcast
I've been listening for a few years and I'm still hooked. Sam and Shaan are great together and they talk about business in a way that feels accessible to me, while others are a bit too "inside baseball." Even with their success, they're still curious and enthusiastic, almost like beginners, which I really enjoy.

Used to be great
Used to be great content but now it’s just too much with Elmo and PeterTheil fan boys clubs. Go join the AllInPod. These guys used to be originals. Unsubscribed

Give me the guests bio in first 5 minutes
I like the content but ABSOLUTELY despise that you do not have a proper introduction for the guest. I want to know their name, background and what company they are from. You start your podcast off with nothing to inform the listener of who the guest is!

Love it
I’m a female attorney and small business owner and I wish I would’ve had this podcast when I was in college and still trying to figure out what to do. I love how many different ideas are thrown in on how to be successful. Love the banter and the random history lessons thrown in between. I think the theme that continues to be apparent no matter the founder or amount of money they have is they all wish to live a more normal life with family which is a great reminder you don’t need a million to be rich. I’m constantly sharing episodes to my husband or my employees.

Love this podcast!
I got into entrepreneurship a bit late in life and have found the stories told through the interviews on this podcast truly inspiring and educational! I can’t get enough of this podcast and can’t wait for the release of each episode. Great job Sam and Shaan!

Hard to take serious
Lost me when you called Elon the greatest entrepreneur of all time. Hard to square anything you say.

In the Weeds with the Richest People
I’m one of their self-professed “tens of women” followers. I like that they take as much time as it takes to go deeper with their interviewees rather than regurgitating the same tired questions everyone else asks. And they try to remember to bring the conversation back to how the interviewee actually made their first break, a la the title of their podcast. They’re in the thick of it, spending time with the highest earners and giving us a behind-the-scenes look at what rich life really looks like for these people and how they got and stay there. As to be expected from any of the finance bro pods, they almost exclusively interview men and would never deign to touch on the topic of lifting women up or acknowledging the role their spouses play in making both family and rich life possible. But there are great feminist finance pods out there for us women working to leg up. It’s just not these guys’ audience. One star off for the compulsive Musk fan-boying. Don’t be afraid to stay true to your roots, boys, and fly that geeky, compassionate flag proud on occasion.

Ignorance is bliss
One of the hosts is just so clueless about basic facts, I had to stop listening. He seems blissfully unaware of socioeconomic data and very solid research on the dynamics of wealth and opportunity in the U.S., including some important experiments on venture capital. I am a scientist, and his fantasy worldview just continued to grate. I enjoy listening to the other host, including to his other podcast—but I have to wonder why he partners with this guy. There are better sources of inspiration and information.

EASILY THE BEST PODCAST
I start every morning with this podcast and will relisten to episodes. Also-the hosts don’t realize it yet, but they’re already my best friends.

Love the banter & riffing that naturally happens!
I really enjoy how both Shaan and Sam allow for the breathing room of conversation. It truly shows how great of podcast hosts they are. Whether it’s with a guest or not, they don’t feel like they have to stick to a strict expectation of the show. Keep it up y’all! Appreciate the episodes & look forward every week. You’re one of the few I listen to on a weekly basis.

Good podcast - sometimes a little slow
Good thought provoking ideas and topics - sometimes a little long winded with side stories and some off topic Items… but I like what they review and cover regarding guests, other companies and potential ideas.

Alex Hormozi?
The fact that you guys had the grifter Alex Hormozi on the pod really disappointed me. Do next week’s guests include Tai Lopez and Grant Cardone? This dude has spent years meticulously crafting how to most convincingly sound like he knows what he’s talking about, but still squirms and refuses to answer the most basic of questions when pressed. You guys didn’t throw him any curveballs and he still wouldn’t say anything of substance the entire episode. Shameful display guys

Way too many ads
I enjoy the show but the number of ads has gotten absurd. 4 midrolls in a 23 minute episode, get outta here.

Chillen with the homies
I feel like I’m in the room with some of my friends just kicking it. They prepare some awesome stories, go off on weird tangents and have a unique view on business. The guys are cool but not too cool for school. I have listened for years and enjoyed how the show continues to evolve. Some of the reviews in here are absolutely wild! Sure, the show is not for everyone but I feel it is 💯% worth giving a try. I learn something after each listen. No small boy stuff here!

Love these dudes and their banter! They get into topics of business that are next level! Most importantly, they just have fun with the content. Can’t thank them enough

Immediate listen
I don’t think I’m the pod’s typical listener (41 F), but I always listen to the new episodes as soon as I see it pop up as available. I feel like I’m hanging out with my friends, laughing, odd tangents, and also inspiring stories. I did also really appreciate the recent episode where Sam shared about being sober. I’ve been sober 10 years myself, and it’s always nice to have other examples of people thriving and sharing something potentially vulnerable. Thanks guys!

3 Things You Need…
…To Outperform 99% of the Competition. Apparently that includes over 26 minutes of just hyping up the UFC. I don’t mind the odd tangent but maybe make the episode about the actual subject matter. Use the UFC as an example if you want but quit wasting my time with literal drivel. Crusty silicone valley tech bro energy fr.

…and I haven’t missed a single episode. Every episode has so much knowledge, insights and inspiration. But the best part: the entertainment factor! Shaan and Sam are hilarious :D

I don’t trust them
Some episodes are entertaining, but I find myself not trusting the hosts. I feel like I’m constantly being sold to. Ad upon ad, plus these guys constantly seem to to be pushing companies they have a stake in or companies run by their buddies, who all, scratch each others backs. I just don’t really trust them. Not listening much anymore as a result

Mullet of Podcasts 😂😂
You can thank the guy who called this podcast the mullet of podcasts for this review!! I had to leave a review to 2nd that accurate description!! I’ve been listening for about 6 months and this is has become my favorite business podcast - the only one I can seriously listen to these days. Shaan and Sam have a great dynamic and make it feel like a conversation amongst friends, but episodes are filled with great business advice and useful takeaways.
