Hydration
Sometime I’d like you to do an episode on hydration. It seems to me that it’s the most common root of health problems

I love this podcast
I listen to this every day. I love the content, thank you Andrew!

Genes and gender
I wish more people would hear the deep discussion on how genes impact gender expression and the SRY gene that activates the XY male chromosome. There would be so much more understanding on how transitioning is not a choice. Great episode.

Engaging, thoughtful & so relevant for day to day life
Absolutely blown away by these podcasts. Dr Huberman’s curiosity & thirst for life, learning, & teaching come through brilliantly in these podcasts. He’s not scared to really dive into the subjects he presents, with & without his guests, & provides real world suggestions (based on his own studies, experience, neuroscience etc) that can really help people w living more healthy lives. Heck, he even has me considering taking the plunge into cold water showers & I *do not* like being cold at all! Very impactful podcast series. Truly feel like these are a gift to the world rn.

2 and 3 hour convos?!
Who really has the time to listen to these exaggeratedly long podcasts? Huberman loves to hear himself talk and used many of the shows to validate himself. I honestly don’t need the intimate details of his tendencies and habits. And, he is an embarrassment to himself when he uses the time to show how much he knows about the guests area of expertise, instead of letting the expert speak. Nowadays, my only use for this show is to lull me back to sleep when I wake at 4:00 a.m. Nitey nite.

A great method for learning
I’m almost done with Dr Matt Walker’s set of 6 podcasts and I am super excited about the entire series. It feels like I am back in school but with extraordinarily interesting professors… and no exams! This particular series about sleep has been life changing. THANK YOU so much for opening my eyes and feeling my brain with useful information. Bravo!

Excellent podcast covering difficult health topics
Hi Andrew I learn so much from your podcast and appreciate your clear concise and actionable ‘Essential.’ I just listed to your episode on Eating Disorders, rarely discussed on health podcasts. As a person recovering from anorexia (woman, late 40s and Epidemiologist) I appreciated your summary of the science. REQUESTS: could you kindly use person first language- ‘a person with anorexia or bulimia’ and not ‘an anorexic.’ I am more than my ED🙂

Has changed my health
Continue listening because each episode helps me reframe my mindset, alter behaviors. It has truly changed my life. Love the science background. I have learned so much as a physical therapist and human.

Outstanding podcast
Wealth of information that opens doors of possibilities. I thoroughly enjoy most topics. The podcast has offered me solutions to my personal health struggles that my own primary doctor could not offer.

Zero critical analysis
I had to stop listening because Huberman is SO credulous…he never pushes back on even the kookiest claims of his guests. If you want a fanboy host, maybe you’ll like it, but if you want real science (where hypotheses get tested and rejected when they don’t hold up) you will be disappointed.

Outstanding
I have learned so much and find many of the topics fascinating.

Richard Schwartz? C’mon
Used to listen to this podcast that he started getting involved in some cult like stuff, including interviewing this debunked therapist. Hoping he can return to better science.

Science Nerd Bonanza
Excellent guests, genuine and sincere host, interesting topics. As a Naturopath, I love the science presented without the “group think” of allopathic medicine. It’s a great contribution to understanding what the research shows.

Listen with Caution
I used to be a fan, and still listen on occasion, but I realize that a lot of what he presents does not have legitimate research to back it up. Don’t be impressed just because he teaches at Stanford, research his claims.

An epic love story.
A beautiful tale of one man’s undying love for the sound of his own voice.

Not the same
Huberman was unique in that he would focus on backing everything he said about a topic with a research study. It made it interesting. He’s now just another health influencer who is unmoored from his expertise (neuroscience) and talks about general health topics like any other health podcaster, except he’s not even a doctor. He also focuses less and less on research and just accepts opinions of his guests at face value. I stopped listening.

Overconfident Bro Fest
After multiple people recommended this show to me, I gave it a listen and tried really hard to like it. I really did. I even listened to it multiple times over several years, but every time I listen I get the sense that I’m listening to an over confident bro who doesn’t know when to stop talking. His guests are generally good, but Dr. Huberman interjects and disrupts the conversation with his own intuitions and opinions so often that I just can’t take this show seriously. In the latest episode, he covered a topic I’m very familiar with and was using incorrect terminology the entire conversation. The guest never corrected him, which he should have. There’s a facade of science here but opinions and over confidence ruin the show’s credibility.

Woke joke.
When you refer to pregnant women as persons who can get pregnant you lose all and any credibility and discredits anything you say. Unfollow. What a clown. You also add your pro nouns?

Too much pseudoscience to recommend
The danger of Hubermans show is he maintains a veneer of scientific legitimacy when he cherry picks or misrepresents studies, claims a scientific consensus when there is none, and peddles supplements where there is clear conflict of interest. I recommend reading the Immunologic substack for a more in depth takedown of his exaggerated claims.

Great content
Amazing guests and excellent topics. I would listen more if Andrew spoke less! He has an over inclusive cognitive style that leads to digressions that clog the flow of the conversation. Not an unusual problem in academia, IMHO.

Life changing podcast
The Huberman Lab podcast has been an absolute game-changer for me. Dr. Andrew Huberman is not only brilliant and incredibly knowledgeable, but he truly practices what he preaches. He has a gift for breaking down complex science into simple, actionable insights that actually stick. His interviews are thoughtful and full of value—I’ve learned so much about how my brain and body work. I feel more empowered to take better care of myself because of this podcast.

Science. Only agenda is truth and the scientific process, with fun and education along the way.
What a life changer. I never listened to a podcast until Huberman. The podcast on dopamine changed my life. ADHD is mostly under control relative to the former issues I had. Dr Lyon interview really helped me understand the need for resistance training and protein. Dr Hyman episode moved us to find a functional medicine doctor. These are amazing and life changing podcasts and I really cant say enough good about them. Andrew is a really sharp guy, but more importantly he cares about the truth, whatever it is. He investigates unpopular theories to widely accepted facts, and even shares that he believes in God. Thats brave. He’s not bullied by popular opinion. He has fortitude and just digs into everything regardless of status quo. He’s a gem. Thank you.

What a surprise
I really admire your dedication and knowledge. Your interviews are amazing. I was surprised that you have agreed with your last guest that the new president is funny! What are surprising view, because he is really cruel and cruelty isn’t funny😣 why be sooo conservative and don’t see the dictator behind it.

Bipolar Disorder
Andrew- I just listened to one of your YouTube channels on bipolar disordered. It was so informative and I loved how you broke everything down. My father committed suicide a few weeks ago. I’ve been really struggling trying to understand this disorder and how deep it can mentally take its toll. I’m in the stages of grief and trying to wrap my head around all of this. I plan to meet with a psychiatrist or psychologist to go over his suicide letters and just overall understand the mental illness better. This is to help my healing process. Would I be better off talking to a psychiatrist or psychologist? I’m leaning towards a psychiatrist knowing more?

Easy to digest complicated info
Huberman has an amazing talent for explaining and breaking down extremely complicated material for ppl to digest easily in small bites. I love just about everything he does and has helped me improve my adhd symptoms with a simple change in diet and supplements.

This long interview is worth every minute. We all need to hear the “other side”. Be fair. Listen!
Dr. Bhattacharya opened my mind. I was grateful to hear a perspective that was both thoughtful and deeply rooted in scientific integrity. It was also refreshing to hear from someone in leadership who seems to understand the importance of keeping past and present societal issues separate from the core mission of scientific research. I especially appreciated his humility—his willingness to admit mistakes made me trust him more, not less. This is precisely the kind of civic intelligence and epistemic humility our society is starving for.

Love These Podcasts!
I admire Dr Andrew for the heart and knowledge he brings into learning. These are one of the most interesting podcasts that you can spend time on. It shows the good side of humanity when a person genuinely is giving and when people are spending time on thoughts that really matter and improve our lives. Highly grateful for the efforts of all the hosts! I hope this always stays genuine like this.

Ability to Learn Life Changing Lessons
Never before in human history is there so much incredible information that we are able to consume for free. All of Dr. Huberman’s episodes are researched extensively and he gives takeaways! I don’t take time to give reviews normally, but this podcast is incredible!!!

Best comprehensive podcast
Incredible to have access to new science, and even better to hear it explained in a way that’s clear and accessible to everyone

Sci-YES
Talks science- check, interesting and challenging topics- check, applies science to real life to help understand how to better operate in the chaos- check. This podcast is incredible. Every time I think I listened to the best episode, I listen to the next one and found something more enlightening. The episode about diets with Dr. Gardner had me overnight making more thoughtful choices about the food I eat. I have been in ISF therapy for a year and this episode was spectacular. Lastly, the episode on addiction was groundbreaking for bringing awareness about an illness that ravages families, speaking from a sister, daughter and wife of an addict. I would love to see an episode about the recent changes coming from NIH on animal testing and how AI can advance research by minimizing exposure to animals in pre-clinical studies and humans in clinical studies. I need the Hubermind on this one! Thanks for all you do!

Was great, now not so much
I discovered Dr. Huberman not long after he started this podcast—it was excellent and I learned a lot. Now, the content and guests reflect what seems to be a shift from science to opinion, even inserting politics, which is truly unfortunate. I miss the quality of the early episodes.

Unscientific Science
I used to be a big Huberman fan and even saw him live once. He’s an interesting guy and has a lot to say. On the other hand, he seems very stern about health. His dogmatic approach to health creates more shame and guilt than whatever he’s trying to help with. He is patronizing to his audience and learning about him outside of the podcast I can now see how calculated his persona is. I haven’t learned in well over a year now. I think he just oversells what he talks about and exaggerates claims like only one study being the be all and end on a topic. He’s too trusting of “the science” in a way but at the same time is skeptical of “the science” when there’s political motive.

He tries to sound smart when he talks it’s so annoying. I don’t believe he’s really that smart. He’s like Tim Ferris .

Thanks for Backing Kennedy
Continue supporting those people you feel are making the world a better place and continue to give those individuals a shared platform. It’s unfortunate that some people bash such a wonderful show, and wonderful person due to their personal biases.

Let your guests inform and educate the audience!
I tune in to learn from guests. Huberman interrupts to speak about what he does, likes, thinks, or believes in a virtue-signaling style that is off-putting, but worse, interferes with the guest’s expert and better studied information. He argues with Dr. Gardner’s impeccably researched and proven facts as if needing the Dr to put the stamp of approval on his less than optimal dietary choices. Surprising that Huberman is still reluctant to present Plant Based Whole Foods as the —proven time and again, superior way to approach nutrition for optimum health, longevity, and well being for humans, animals, and the environment. Please continue bringing experts to educate yourself and your audience in WFPB nutrition, agricultural and marine scientists to learn about the environmental impact of food, and medical doctors practicing lifestyle medicine treating people holistically to get at the root cause of disease and promote health.

Contracts of love and money- Wow.
The salience of this episode striking. It is brimming with valuable information that I wish I had known before marriage and a subsequent detrimental divorce. It’s incredibly pertinent for navigating and building a successful, honest, and safe relationship.

Stop legitimizing Kennedy
I love this podcast and have learned so much, but you need to stop casually legitimizing Kennedy. He supports pseudoscience, says vaccines increase the chances of getting the diseases they prevent, and takes random chemicals to treat himself. It’s dangerous and you know better.
Concerned-scientist
self-important
Every title/subject of this podcast “seems” fascinating. But, whiteout fail, Dr. Huberman inserts himself into the subject material, and makes it seem like he choose the host for personal gains/knowledge he can apply to his own life, under the guise of assisting general public or people other than himself. He even coopted an episode on WOMEN’S PHYSIOLOGY, trying to use himself as an example/gain information to apply to him. A lot of the information is interesting, but I never end a show with much take-home. Even as someone who’s run over 70 marathons and is quite into recreation and fitness I find most of his episodes just simply inapplicable. I’m recreationally quite serious about my health and it’s not that he “goes into he weeds” too much - i’m very STEM-oriented and I just don’t think much of the information he provides is that applicable to many others than himself. He also is out of touch. He operates in some AI-vacuum where actual human/social influences are out of his peripheral vision. Take one of the alcohol episodes: he seems to grimace/condescend on those choosing to engage in behaviors his research proves are physiologically antagonistic as if it’s as simple as math - it’s not. It just comes off as ignorant and extremely self-righteous.
