This is my favorite in season football podcast. Good cast of characters surrounding Chris, who really provides exceptional breakdowns of each game. We all understand his fondness for Philadelphia and his Eagles experience, but if there was a criticism, it would be that he spends a little too much time in that space.

When Macon joins Chris the show is at its absolute best. It reminds me of the earliest days of the show. Their mailbag is one of my favorite segments.

Love the show, listen consistently. Definitely great sports content and mix of humor. Some episodes run a little long, especially when they go down the uniforms rabbit hole. Maybe it’s just me, but who really cares that the Texans wore red uniforms?! Also Bo and Dr. fax microphones audio seem off sometimes (high and low volume).

New to the pod but I love it. These guys are great together make me crack up all the time. This is my Second favorite sports podcast after Punchdrunks annual episode. Shout out to Trips and Jayson Thibault lol

This show makes me laugh out loud. These guys know what they’re talking about and like each other while they’re doing it. Truly an eclectic group with differing views about football and life in general. It makes for a unique listening experience. Thank you for creating something special.

The further he gets from retirement, the more ingrained in Philly garbage culture Chris becomes. Used to be the best show. But Macon is rarely in anymore and it isn’t even really funny anymore.

Giving it 5 stars because it’s still one of my favorites but worried it’s losing its soul some as it (rightfully) chases NFL traffic. My favorite thing about show was how it was just hours of best friends hanging out, talking about their communities, lives, more college sports, etc. Now it’s just another (and still very good) NFL podcast

Hilarious. Chris is the man, Macon is hilarious. But please for the love of god, mute Matt’s mic. The guy thinks he invented sports. Arrogance delivered from the most monotone drab voice.

The intro with chris and macon on the 9/8/23 podcast is sensational. The dynamic yall two have is by far and away my favorite aspect of the show. Wouldn’t mind more stories like those paintball wars back in high school! Also the ad men never misses

My brother has been recommending Greenlight for so long. I really only paid attention to college football (Go Noles) but I am learning so much about football. Apparently I only knew the obvious actions, TD, Field Goal, neutral zone and off sides for example. You use terms I don’t understand but explain it clearly and in an enjoyable way. Example: I only recently learned there’s certain players the QB can’t throw to. Now I have a crush on Beau. Definitely driving my brother crazy with questions, as it should be. Thank you so much for the fun listens!

For a time this podcast kept me alive and going. But, quite clearly, it’s become a run of the mill podcast driven by sponsors along with plain 2-dimensional football blah-blah-blah. There’s no difference between this and “New Heights” which is also trash. At a certain level, I appreciate Chris for what he set out to originally do. But, Chris has lost his way. He likes being the voice of dissent. Kyle is the most uninteresting person in the world. “America’s Teams. Hmm. Well, obviously it’s the team I never played for The Kansas City Chiefs because I exist only to troll.” Whenever Macon ultimately cuts ties with the group and creates his own podcast about Life, The Universe, and Everything, I will subscribe 1,000x over to that. And that’s coming from an Eagles’ fan!

Used to be a 5 star show. Still enjoyable for the most part. Outside of Kevin Gill Badke. Guy is insufferable, and boy, worth a google. Yikes. Cut the dead weight

I’ve been listening to football Podcasts for over a decade now and this one easily takes the cake. The insight, authenticity, and entertainment is second to none. Long brothers > Kelce brothers

Thank you for having one of the best sports podcasts available, but can we please look in to the audio’s volume? It’s significantly lower even at max volume than other podcasts and makes it difficult to listen to when you’re in louder surroundings.

44 year old female from Kansas City I am a huge Chiefs and New Heights podcast fan. I tuned in when you had Jason Kelce on, and I have been a fan ever since. I’m not sure why but I think you are hilarious. If you keep making me laugh like this, I might replace Chris Long with my boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

As a solo preneur I listen to countless podcasts. First heard Chris on Russillo, they are great together. Started listening to green light at the beginning and while likeable and fun guys, it was a little rough around the edges tbh with Macon either barefoot or socks pulled up to far. But with Chris’ legendary long work ethic and being a deep thinker to quote Howie, this pod has continued to improve to a high level of professionalism. Chris is a great interviewer with unique questions and insights and recently his articulation of NFL team updates from camps rivals a Russillo NBA breakdown with thankfully fewer play by play X and O ryen. I have to turn down the volume on the psychotropics but this is becoming an entertaining must listen program.

Always entertained by something on this jawn although I do have to say the Chris Long pic on the show logo has changed … Chris looks like a homeless meth zombie now. Time to ratchet up the BIRDS coverage !!!

Chris…I don’t know what the you were worried about with this segment. I work in an office and started laughing uncontrollably having to swiftly remove my AirPods and walk to the hallway. Kyle is the best most lovable idiot. Because of what you all have built, episodes like this are needed sometimes. You can get away with them because when you make it casual then it, for us, feels more like a hang out rather than a show that we are listening to. You guys are all the best.

I’ve been listening since day 1. Love the variety of guests, and Chris does well with the interviews. Macon and Chris combo is my fave…like the other guys too, but more interrupting and talking over each other 🙉. Overall, really enjoy this pod.

It’s great you mentioned the 7 horses that died the week leading up to the Kentucky Derby, but then you celebrate those that were in attendance. Horse racing should be banned . It’s only purpose is gambling. Multiple race tracks across the country experience multiple equine deaths weekly, yet celebrities still flock to the track just to be seen and celebrated by media outlets. Seven dead horses may not seem like much but those horses are forced to race. Seven dead horses dying in the week preceding the derby would be equivalent to 37 NFL players dying Super Bowl week.
