Always current and informative. Alex constantly has interesting guest to discuss the latest in technosphere, especially the AI driven sectors. Regular cohosts like Ranjan and M.G. are always on point. Good stuff.

Legit Analysis
Alex crafts a show that gives an analysis of the week’s events that is insightful and has me looking at the world differently. He and some of his other cohosts seem down to earth and I honestly feel like he works hard for his audience and not like he’s just trying to stack the Benjamin’s. Thanks Alex.

Terrific episode
This latest with Michael Horowitz was incredibly timely, informative, entertaining and all in all terrific. Highly recommend the podcast and this ep in particular.

Required Listening for Tech + AI Pros
Big Technology is a must-listen for anyone interested in tech & AI. Interviews with Sam Altman, Dario Amodei, and Demis Hassabis go deep into the frontier of AI research. And the weekly news recaps with Ranjan Roy are a joy to listen to. I highly recommend the show!

An exhausting listening experience: Breathless Tech Fan-boy horse-race sports announcer-style patter
After half an hour with MG on the Feb 2 2026, the analogies that come to mind: 1) Horse racing patter (Who’s in first position, up by a nose, etc.), 2) sports-casting on Cable news (minute play by play repetition); 3) Breathless fan-boy journalists swept up in the hype. Add in a never-ending deluge of filler words (“uh”, “like”, “it’s like”). Had to shut it off.

Great podcast for balance and nuance
Love the balance and nuance that Alex brings to the podcast. And how he is humble while also pushing the guests to ask the hard hitting questions. For me the highlight has to be the Friday episodes with Ranjan!

Great Podcast
Great podcast for thoughtful info on current tech and AI. Last podcast interviewing alignment engineers from Anthropic was terrific and illuminimating

My go to tech podcast
Alex and Ranjan knock it out of the park each week with top notch guests and fascinating discussions. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Panos is selling
I’m giving a five star to the big technology podcast. Alex does a great job and I love the Friday show with Ron Jon. That said the recent show with Panos from Amazon was interesting to say the least. Two star max. He’s clearly selling. Alexa plus does not perform as well as Alexa. Not even close. I am a technology forward individual. I’ve worked for tech companies for 25 years. I would say that Alexa is just ahead of Siri. Ok, far ahead but only second worst to Siri being the worst. I imagine he needs more users on Alexa plus in order to get the technology to improve. That part makes sense. But it is definitely not good tech at the moment. I’m a huge huge fan of Amazon retail, Amazon software, Amazon everything so I am excited to see what they will eventually do.

Opinion
Alex specifically politicizes the latest episode by commenting on the suspension of Jimmie Kimmel. While I do have some agreement on his point of censorship being concerning given the actions of the President and the FCC chairman, I do not agree that Jimmy Kimmel himself bears no responsibility for the statements that he makes. He was clearly let go because of his vicious and unfounded statements on the death of Charlie Kirk. He literally lied about the association between the accused murderer and the “MAGA” gang. That alone is enough to have him removed from the public airways.

Best Podcast on AI Period
The Big Technology Podcast is hands down the best way to keep up with the fast-moving world of artificial intelligence. I absolutely love it. Host Alex Kantrowitz does an incredible job not only breaking down the latest trends but also consistently bringing on the biggest names in AI. His interviews are sharp, thoughtful, and always leave me with new insights. One of the highlights of the show is the mix of regular contributors. M. G. Siegler adds smart, candid commentary that grounds the conversations in both tech and business realities. And the discussions between Alex and Ranjan Roy are always must-listen moments. They explore both the exciting opportunities and the potential downsides of AI, as well as the companies shaping its future, with honesty and depth you rarely find elsewhere. If you want a podcast that will keep you at the cutting edge of AI while also making you think critically about where this technology is taking us, Big Technology is unmatched. Last point emdash included — did I use AI to write this review? Obviously as the show is literally about how to use AI. Did I give it very specific prompts so that the review reflects my own opinion? Yes! As I learned listening to the show everything in generative AI relies on providing intelligent and specific prompts.

Solid show
This show is solid, although too indexed to AI and especially OpenAI. It would be better if Alex devoted less time to OpenAI and the latest musings from Sam. It’s a big tech world out there and it is not just about AI or OpenAI. For example, this week he should devote no more than 5 minutes to the Statsig acquisition. Cove the other players, cover some non-AI once in a while, etc.

May the mountains treat you right 🇳🇵🗻
I listen to your podcast religiously the moment it drops on iTunes. I’m a Sherpa from Nepal currently living in New York and I’m thrilled to hear you’re heading there to trek. As an avid hiker and mountain biker, I’d suggest exploring some spots that aren’t as popular on social media if you truly want to soak in Nepal’s natural beauty. Places like Phaplu, Pikey, and Dudh Kunda are perfect examples. Wishing you an amazing trip — I can’t wait to hear all about your experience in your upcoming podcast.

Great AI Coverage
Heavy hitter guests. Informed questions from a likable host.

Has become my new go-to on tech
Really enjoy BTP. Since discovering 3-4 months ago I haven’t missed an episode. It makes me smarter and more curious, which we all need a bit more of. I appreciate that Alex isn’t afraid to disagree with a guest or challenge them - even if it’s momentarily uncomfortable. It actually makes me respect the show and more confident in the content.

A Measured, Insightful Lens on the Forces Shaping Tech
In today’s saturated landscape of technology commentary, The Big Technology Podcast, hosted by Alex Kantrowitz, distinguishes itself as one of the few formats that not only reports on developments in the tech ecosystem but meaningfully interrogates the underlying forces shaping them. It’s not just a podcast about what’s happening in Silicon Valley—it’s a vehicle for unpacking why it’s happening, how it impacts adjacent industries, and what might come next. Kantrowitz brings a rare combination of journalistic credibility and editorial restraint to the conversation—traits that are often lacking in today’s fast-take media cycle. His interviews strike the right balance between informed curiosity and intellectual discipline. Whether he’s speaking with a startup founder navigating platform risk, a public CEO managing through AI disruption, or a reporter offering inside views on policy and power, Kantrowitz keeps the focus on structural insights over soundbites.

Should be 5 stars
I enjoy the show, but Alex’s consistent and unwavering skepticism of AI is getting a little too much. Some skepticism is clearly good, hard questions in interviews are good, but when the tone is relentlessly that AI is over promising it starts to wear a little thin. I have noticed that as his concerns have been knocked down by progress, he just moves on to new ones. And he never seems to stop quoting the “only 20% of AI trials are entering production” stat, which is rather normal for a foundational technology. The original Industrial Revolution, for example, was replete with people who bailed as the early stream engines kept failing. Same thing in the move to the cloud.

Great insight with fun sarcasm and humor
Great insights, real time events, fun banter and sarcasm. This is a stable podcast for me and others in the finance industry as we keep up with AI and Big Tech. Love these guys - keep up the great work, Gentlemen.

My favorite podcast!
I look forward every week to hear the latest in the world of tech and AI from BTP! They have the BEST coverage out there!

10x engineer
Isn’t a 10x engineer someone who creates 10x value? No tool creates that.

Usually like the show and the vibes
But it’d be great if you challenged Mooch… Elon Musk as a truth teller sounds great. On the macro point Elon is right: the deficit is out of control. But he also lied extensively about the facts of departments like USAID and the implication that cutting USAID would have any meaningful impact on the deficit

Ranjan Fridays part of my life now :)
Love the show, even the skeptics … talking about tangible energy usage is under discussed in my humble opinion but debating sentiency eh who can really prove their own higher existence. Tech is changing so quickly and it’s great listening to thoughtful discussion without the used car sales pressure to embrace every shiny new thing. :)

AI Con
I enjoy this podcast but the episode with Emily Bender and Alex Hanna was difficult to listen to. The only con was them trying to sell a book. They did not answer questions well only espousing unverifiable claims in order to sell a book. They were not credible and their off the cuff remarks about health care was embarassing. Reminds me of the naysayers of cell phones and internet. The evidence of benefits and potential for AI is overwhelming and exciting. I appreciate the podcast trying to discuss Agi from all angles but these guys only emphasized how out of it they were. As if we are all supposed to go back to researching newspapers! LOL

“Big AI” Podcast
I found out about this show “post” ChatGPT moment in late 2022 and the show has really dug into the world of Artificial Intelligence. A great mix of technology and business. Covers topics in a pragmatic way. Not overly pessimistic or optimistic. The weekly banter between Alex and his cohost on Fridays is a great summary of the week that was. Lots of interesting and compelling guests from a variety of backgrounds on the mid-week show. One of the few shows I listen to immediately when it hits my podcast app.

Just really good in so many ways
Host Alex is just SO good at his job as podcaster on the big tech developments and trends. He has thoughtful and articulate insights, important topics, and wonderful guests. His interviewing skills are top shelf excellent. My favorite tech podcast.

Informative
Very good and thoughtful podcast.

Do these guys do research?
Just listened to the rivian interview — so much whiffage. Didn’t know anything about vw deal, casually just says rivian and vw should merge (uh, one of the biggest car companies in world with pretty much a startup), asks what rivian gets out of it besides “money” (can hear RJs cringe — yes, it’s the money), asks for details that haven’t been announced yet (yes, they’re going to unveil it on your podcast). Total cringe. Do your homework…

Felonies
How about a recap of all the the crimes committed by the 2016 cabinet and all the crimes of the orange sociopath in just the last 10 years. And why military generals call him a fascist

Top tier pod
Good journalism. Higher value than other weekly pods. All In, Swisher, Galloway. On par with Odd Lots, and that’s a high high bar.

Great episode on OpenAI!
Fascinating inside look at the OAI fund raise. As they say: "a billion here, a billion there, and soon, ur talking about real $$$"! Lol

Just a really great show
Whether you’re a new grad or worked in tech for 20 years, the Big Technology podcast informs newbs and OGs equally well. The guests and subject matter are spot-on, plus Alex is a great interviewer. He asks the right questions that encourage guests to share perspectives which interest listeners and challenges industry leaders to own their actions. The cherry on top is that when needed, Alex recognizes the absurdity exists in the Valley.

Encryption episode with Andy Yen
So turned off by how rude the host was to his guest on this episode! Intentionally grilling him as if his business and product (Proton Mail) weren’t legit and a GREAT NECESSARY alternative to Google and other tech giants. The host sounded immaturely threatened by Andy and his company’s brilliance. WOMP

Awesome Podcast
Great homework and analysis. Alex works very hard to go deeper on topics and deliver insights. Great guests and interviews are nuanced and insightful. Ranjan and Alex’s chemistry is great. One of the best tech podcasts out there!

Elon Musk “is not an engineer”
Real quote from the Slate Money episode… I almost spit out my coffee. The dude wrote software before he hit puberty and built two impossible engineering startups. Self-taught. I can’t fault a podcast for something a random guest said, even if it was the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. (Updated 05/15)

Well-balanced and Informative Tech Podcast!
Been listening for over a year. I have listened to most tech podcasts and this one is my favorite. I love the nuanced conversations and the high-profile guests from the biggest players in tech! The hosts do a great job staying politically neutral and asking their guests insightful questions. I always look forward to the latest episode and hope to continue listening for many years to come!

Great perspectives on current technology issues
Alex and Ranjan cover many of the latest technology issues in great depth. And even though, I don’t always agree with their viewpoints, I respect their fairness and integrity.

Thoughtful, Rich and Deep Conversations
Alan has fabulous guests, like the heads of Yahoo!, Perplexity, Canva, and much more. He asks meaningful and sometimes hard-hitting questions, but is amazingly open to changing his mind right on air as he learns new perspectives from his guests. His Friday episodes give the best coverage anywhere of current events, with takes that showcase his wide perspective on the industry.
