Snooze fest
I find the conversations make me want to take a nap.

Better than anti-anxiety meds
I have been a diehard fan of Dan Harris since his book came out in 2017 (Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics—which I highly recommend). Although I am not a frosty New Englander, as he playfully describes himself, his blend of wry humor, vulnerability and intelligence deeply speaks to me. He repeatedly reminds me that I am not alone on this journey, and there are resources and wisdom lurking in so many surprising places. This podcast in some ways has become a lifeline for me. Better than any anti-anxiety medication I’ve taken.

Diversity of guests
Though not all the episodes are of equal quality, I make sure to listen to every episode to discover the true gems, and there are quite a few of these. If Dan interrupted the guests less with his own experiences, the flow of the episodes would improve.

Great podcast
I really enjoy the show and diversity of guests and practical response to meditation and dharma. I particularly enjoy the look at Buddhist Psychology. Hoping for an interview with Bruno Cayoun soon!

Thank you 🙏
Thank you so very much for your recent podcast with Father Gregory Boyle. It was truly a life changing experience ! I am an agnostic just like you Dan, but Father Boyle’s obvious commitment to love and compassion was instructive and inspiring in dealing with people on “the other side of the aisle”- the biggest challenge of our time !

Brilliant
This podcast has been my accompaniment for the past six months and I have probably plowed through 100+ episodes by now. Dan’s brutal honesty and humor in combination with the depth of dharma and the human condition is amazing. I have read/listened to a lot of spiritual/’deep’ podcasts/books, but it all gets so heavy and dark I burn out. This is brilliant and dances with the joy, playfulness, ‘not full of yourself’ tone with the deep wisdom and depth of what it means to be human. Plus the combination of conceptual/academic rigor with practical tools/questions, such a dance!! The best is when DJ and Bianca are on where Dan’s vulnerability and ability to look at himself is even more heightened. I am so grateful and can’t wait to continue through all the past episodes. Deeply grateful

Amazing
I love this podcast. Such thoughtful interviews. Just listened to the one about psychic mediums. So intriguing! (Would also love to hear that interview with Laura Lynn Jackson :))

The best place for trusted voices in wellness
As a self-professed podcast junkie, the 10% Happier podcast is at the top of my list every single week. I finish each episode before I even consider listening to the 20+ others I’ve subscribed to. That being said, I’ve never felt compelled to leave a review though I know how much it must help new listeners to find you. I just finished the episode with Jeff Krasno, and it’s not hyperbole to say that I think it’s the most helpful podcast episode I’ve ever listened to. Jeff’s explanations and Dan’s subsequent summaries made all the advice and knowledge so easy to follow. I immediately went to Jeff’s site to purchase his book, and today I’m going all in on Dan’s Substack which I’ve been on the fence about. I’m a beginning meditator who has been afraid to commit to a subscription because I don’t want to beat myself up about not doing *all the things* I have access to, but it’s time to go all in.
If you’re looking for a podcast that introduces you to trusted voices (so you don’t have to do all the research yourself), you want a non-dogmatic approach to wellness, and you need it put into terms and actions you can implement, the 10% Happier Podcast is the place to be.

Marielle Segarra - I didn't last 5 minutes
I love your guests when they don't sound like they fell out of a high school prom in Cali.

Bourgeois Fragility
Can’t stand the willful ignorance of the show anymore when there are real, material crisis and atrocities out in the world; and here they’re still gingerly poking around the same old slim slices of “issues” just in case it hurts someone’s (i.e. lib elites) feelings.
Aesthetics over substance.

You promote Sam Harris, really?
I used to listen to and recommend this podcast but since Dan started supporting and promoting Sam Harris, an openly racist and misogynistic toad who promotes discrimination, I can’t. I’m disappointed, I thought Dan was better than that.

Fantastic podcast
Dan is an incredible interviewer, asks questions I didn’t even know I had and helps translate the answers when needed to ensure that key points are successfully communicated. This podcast has been so helpful in brightening my perspective on a host of really important issues.

Too many ads
Takes away from the mindful purpose. Look at Sam Harris and how he does it. Make the effort.

I really enjoy your podcasts and also benefit spiritually emotionally mentally from the advice of your guests & yourself. I often share your podcast with family members.
You are changing peoples lives in a very positive way! Thanks so much.

Genuinely
Thank you for hosting heartfelt, genuine conversation on various topics. The way you continue to integrate mindfulness practices is inspiring!

Again, thank you
Thank you for showing that even the “mean Aunt Kate”s amongst us can practice loving kindness. So helpful to know that other people have the same questions and concerns.

Dan Harris ad revenue supports MAGA 🫤
I have respected the work of Dan Harris and the mission of this podcast for years. While the amount of advertising has alway been off putting to me I understand the need to make a living. But after listening to Dan Harris personally give a long glowing plug for AirBnB today I can’t continue to take this podcast seriously. It’s no secret that AirBnB billionaire co-founder Joe Gebbia supports MAGA. Promoting his business at this moment in history feels incredibly hypocritical and disingenuous on the part of Dan Harris.

Glad Dan is fully separated from App!
I first became acquainted with Dan’s work years ago after reading his book 10% Happier. I loved the premise of the book, which was that mindfulness could provide us with noticeable benefits without over promising. I was a faithful user of the corresponding app for many years and was initially devastated when I heard Dan was leaving the app. But I realized that I actually didn’t particularly enjoy using the app anymore, and until then could not put my finger on why. After he departed, I decided to give the app a good faith chance, but ultimately canceled my subscription because I hate what his prior partners have done to it. I am glad that as of March one he is effectively fully separated from the Happier app because it is a shell of what it was when he was at the helm. I know Dan’s focus is on his substack and podcast, but I would love it if he developed another app. For now, the podcast continues to deliver high quality and thought provoking conversations. Thanks Dan for all you have brought to your listeners:)

What happened to being part of the Wondery+ subscription network ? The ads are excruciating

Wonderful show
I’m a Zen teacher with nearly 50 years of meditation experience, but I have learned a great deal from Dan Harris and his guests. Highly recommended.

Great podcast, odd advertisements
I really appreciate Dan Harris and the selection of topics/guests. But recently the ads within the podcast have been for guns and casinos, which seems in conflict with the values of the podcast??
RLbeehive1235
Happier indeed!
Shout-out to Dan for exploring the methods he needs to maintain his joy quota. And lucky us that he’s sharing what he finds!

Where did the meditations go?
Ridiculous amount of ads, the content is okay but there are better options out there.
Britknee00
Sponsored by BetterHelp??
BetterHelp has faced lawsuits for unethical practices, including mishandling user data and questionable therapist qualifications. It’s frustrating to see Dan promote a service with such a problematic track record, especially when mental health care should be handled with care and integrity. Please do your research when it comes to sponsors you give glowing reviews about. I seriously doubt Dan or anyone he knows personally would use BetterHelp for their own therapy.

Removing meditations
During a highly stressful time, why take down every single meditation? Seems to send a signal about how much the podcast actually cares about listeners mental health, unless they pay attention
triallawyer99
Meditations??
Love the podcast Dan but why did you remove the Friday mini meditations? Seems like a bad faith attempt to gain paid app subscribers but won’t work on me.
Gigiandbuzz
Are meditations subscription only?
I enjoy this podcast and find Dan to be candid and a great interviewer and the meditations are excellent. It looks like nearly all of the meditations only can be accessed with a Wondery+ subscription which is disappointing. This seems like a moment in time to make at least some of the meditations available free of charge.

Bill Weir is a bore
Billl likes to hear himself talk. Poor Dan had to sit through this episode. I don’t know why he made it so long he should’ve cut him off.

Great episode
Super episode with Ian Robertson! Highly recommend.

Re: Ep. 905 w Poor ListenerJillian
Dan, please push your guests harder -- immediately lost interest and respect when Jillian failed to actively listen to and appropriately answer your Q: “did you take a break before writing to have a relationship with yourself?”…she responds by discussing external relationships 🤦♀️ neither mindful nor taking “the beat” to which you allude.

Loved the Sonya Renee Taylor ep
Sonya Renee Taylor’s episode was superb. It’s a definite *download and listen on repeat*. Her message is critical for the work we need to do right now to be in loving presence with ourselves, first, so we’re able to build and support community.

Great podcast
Dan is one of the best interviewers I’ve heard, combining his own authenticity and curiosity with his constant desire to improve. Such great convos, they have all helped me widen my heart and mind. With you for the long haul, Dan!

Radical budhist, best show ever
This show presents a lot of great ideas and it’s done over many years, but this particular show/interview can be life-changing

Contemporary ancient wisdom
Dan Harris and his team are making great shows that fold science and story telling with the best teachers around the world. Also appreciate a host who drops the occasional expletive, and is a vulnerable, anxious, real human being.

A True Gem
Dan Harris has saved my sanity, for years now. I sometimes stray away but I always come back when I need direction. He is relateable and his guests are so insightful (as is he, and his questions / communication style). Without a doubt, I share episodes of this podcast with my friends more than any other podcast I listen to. So grateful to have this podcast in my toolbox. 🙏🏻🙌🏻

Love the content
I just find the content on this show, for me at least, to be genuine, new, fresh, intelligent, thought provoking and real. On top of that it just resonates with me. I really appreciate this podcast.

Revisiting meditation
Thank you so much for bringing on all the topics you do and the authenticity and candor. I was lucky enough to stumble into a mediation teacher at the age of 15 in high school and continued the practice on through my collage years. I had always had guilt surrounding the fact that I let my practices slide as I grew in life. This pod cast has re inspired my interest in philosophy, sociology, self reflection and meditation. It has been wonderful to re kindle these interests with my almost 50 years and parenthood under my belt! Much more forgiving and expansive. I appreciate the words you are sharing and the guests you have on the show.

Grateful for what you’ve created
Dan and team, wanted to let you know how much you’ve impacted my life. The wisdom you and your guests share is food for my soul. It’s helps me “wake up - over and over and over” (as I’ve heard you say Dan). Thank you for persevering through the recent changes you had to go through. I know it wasn’t easy. You should know how much you’ve helped my (and other’s) life. So much love, Seema

Election episode - early drop for Wondery
Dan this is the first time an episode of your show gave me anxiety instead of reducing it!! It sounds like you’re prepping us for bad news on election night.
Is it possible to get hit by the second arrow before the first because I think that’s what happened to me today! 😂
Mostly kidding though, I absolutely love your show.

Dan Harris is a wonderful host
I began my spiritual journey during the COVID pandemic in 2020. I’ve listened to many inspiring podcasts about spirituality in the US, hosted by Rick Hanson and Scott Snibbe, and in India, by the likes of Ranveer Allahabadia.
Each of these podcasts has been unique and awe-inspiring in its own way.
Dan Harris hosts this podcast with empathy and understanding, allowing the speakers to share their insights into spirituality without feeling pressured or probed into expressing specific emotions. This makes the conversations very approachable.
Thanks for this podcast, Dan!

This put me on the path to meditation.
7 years ago Dan Harris showed me the way with his book. I’m so glad he has kept it up.

5 minutes of ads
While I mostly enjoy the content I was put off by 5 minutes you have to push through to get to get content. And it’s the same recorded cookie cutter ad. Unfollowed.

Top notch
Dan is an expert interview and brings thoughtful questions that allow the guest to clarify, dig deeper and keep the idea moving. Not mention the guest line up is comprised of some of the most incredible people. Amazing!
