Once one of my favorites and very helpful in general knowledge, but falling off. I actually don’t mind the host’s “interruptions” - I think he’s trying to make scientific talk user-friendly for the layman, although I agree it can be overdone at times (he says “Amazing - I’ve never heard that before” a lot). Deference to the “expert” on the show goes overboard as well; one example: just listened to a guest talking about how heart-healthy the high-fat Inuit diet is; this has long been debunked and attributed to a likely genetic mutation, which - surprise- most of us don’t have. Just letting that go as if it’s accepted science is irresponsible. Ignore or fast-forward through all the advertising, and you might find it useful.

Life changing podcast
This is one of the best podcasts I listen to. Thanks Jonathan and Dr. Spector. You are changing lives.

Muscle loss in the short term.
Muscle tissue is not used as fuel in short term calorie restriction. Available fat and glucose are always the preferred sources of fuel. Short term muscle tissue loss is due to natural atrophy from lack of use. You can absolutely keep and gain muscle during a caloric deficit if you have available glucose or body fat as a fuel source.

Creatine-really for the aging??
From the NIH”Even recommended doses of creatine monohydrate supplementation may cause kidney damage; therefore, anybody using this supplement should be warned about this possible side effect, and their renal functions should be monitored regularly” please review.
At a minimum water intake needs to increase >2.5liters/d. Kidney function decreases as one ages taking creatinine without lab check is risky

Best info for health
I’m sooo excited to have found this Zoe. Not just the podcast but the interviews on YouTube. I’ve stared changing my diet to fresh no processed eating and can feel a difference. Having turned 70 and having joint pain I needed some natural help Thank you all at Zoe
Love Zoe best help
No support when you join
Zoe has pretty good health info but the point is to get you to join. I paid almost $300 and the app doesn’t work and there is no support. Tired of corporations spending more on ads than customer service. I now have a pretty yellow box that cost a lot and a few useless emails from bots. Waste of money.

Best Science-Based Health Podcast
This is my favorite health, nutrition, science podcast. As someone who struggles with gastrointestinal issues and having to live with a restrictive diet, i have found this podcast tremendously helpful and informative. I am grateful and feeling better—plus I’ve lost 15 lbs! as a woman heading into menopause, I have also appreciate information to help me on that journey.

Scammed
Signed up and paid for Zoe as advertised because it said it included glucose monitoring. After paying, Zoe says I’m not eligible for glucose monitor, keeps the money, then doesn’t send monitor. False advertising.

One of my faves
This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. It’s extremely interesting, citing solid research. The topics discussed could help so many people make positive changes in their lifestyle. I have found it inspiring. Some reviewers were put off about the podcast selling products. You don’t have to buy anything- just appreciate the important information they are providing. The #1 reason I have ditched many podcasts is they are annoying to listen to. Host Jonathan Wolf is delightful, and the guests have been great. Love how they make complicated concepts understandable. Also love the recap episodes- like a fun snack.

Backed by science
I am an Internal Medicine doctor who treats chronic illnesses such as diabetes , hypertension, elevated cholesterol, heart disease, and stroke and for the past 28 years of practice have always believed that the key to treating and more importantly preventing these chronic conditions is nutrition. We were not taught about nutrition when I went to medical school 35 years ago and nutrition science has blossomed recently with RCT( randomized controlled trials). This is the best Podcast on this important topic that I've watched because the presenters are experienced scientists arriving at conclusions with scientific evidence and not opinions. Also, I love the humor and British accents! :))

This is 1 of my top 2 go to podcasts! The growth of nutritional science is so exciting -it’s never too late people to start taking charge of what you eat! Read the ingredients! I’m so grateful to those involved Jonathan Wolf, Professors Tim Spector and Sarah Berry.. and so many more. You are all so very much appreciated! 🤗

Conflicting Discussion
The guests are clearly pushing a vegetarian diet. They are reluctantly suggesting that “some limited meat” is ok. I listened to the full episode but I’m not sure I’ll continue to listen to Zoe.

Podcast sells non functioning product
The whole purpose of this podcast is to sell you their product and subscription. When you buy it, as I did, you will get no support, never be able to communicate with a human, and if you have any questions or if their tech does not work, you have literally wasted your money.

Is This Service A Scam?
I subscribed to this service as part of the Black Friday sale back in November. Although they have taken my credit card they have not delivered any of the tests or access to their app. Plus I have sent numerous messages to their support desk asking about the status and I have not received any response other than from a bot. I am greatly disappointed by this level of customer service especially from a company that says that they are providing top level medical advice.

Lovely, scientific conversations!
Listening to vagina micro biome- switching women who are pregnant to people who are pregnant, a girls first period to an adolescents first period, a women’s vagina to a persons vagina

Best health podcasts I’ve ever heard.
No matter what the topic is, this podcast brings in experts, science, and information that can be understood by pretty much anyone. It’s real, it’s authentic, it’s practical, and it’s about taking charge of your own health. Thank you, Zoe for everything you offer!

Extremely well produced and informative nutrition podcast.
This is an excellent nutrition podcast to listen to on a variety of topics. The re-occurring guests are all good in their own right, and the vast majority of the guests give quality interviews.
The podcast is extremely well produced. Ads are somewhat frequent but very brief and transition well, so they are not nearly as invasive as most other podcasts of even a lesser calibre. The host is very good at keeping the conversation moving, prompting guests to break things down for the lay person when it comes to complex or fancy sounding medical terminology, and recapping episodes, etc.
I'd just say keep an open mind and don't take everything as gospel. Some guests are a bit alarmist about certain topics and I think sometimes offer solutions that appear to me a bit extreme or unreasonable to the average person. I think the host does a good job at identifying this, so even if it occurs, it's not as though it's a huge problem or something. I'd recommend listening to a wide variety of opinions on any given topic that seems mysterious, confusing, or perhaps even anxiety-inducing. But overall, I think Zoe does a great job of balancing out concerns over many things that either more main-stream sources or the alternative medicine side go to extremes on, either in terms of rejecting or accepting something without much qualification or nuance.
I would add that I tend to find most guests and associates demonize meat more than I think is necessary. I'm not an expert, but I've listened to a number of voices on the issue and have had my own experiences with both sides of the whole vegan/carnivore battles on the interwebs and how they've effected both my own health and people I care about. In short, I find the middle ground to be more reasonable.
Moreover, the Zoe folks tend to lean more towards green agendas that find to be suspect in a number of ways, so I cannot help but wonder if that biases their take on certain studies or data. You may or may not share my concerns on this, so take of that what you will. I know how easy it is to omit this or that to bolster one's own position without the audience knowing that a bias is occurring, but there's a reasonable way to do this that is understandable and, to some extent, is expected; there are always ways to do this that border on deception. Obviously, I think Zoe falls in the the former rather than the latter category. You may not feel the same as I do about some of these topics, but if you are of a similar mind and have similar concerns, I would just say just take those sections on pushing vegetarianism coupled with environmentalism with a grain of salt and absorb what makes sense to you.
I also appreciate that they understand what they offer and are advertising in each segment is not for everyone, either because of time committment, financial resources, or both. I fall under both categories so I'm likely not signing up for any Zoe programs anytime soon, but I sincerely appreciate the information they put out there for free, and delivering it in a high quality way. So bravo to them for that and I recommend the podcast for anyone interested in trying to imrove their health.
Last but not least, conversation is pleasant and the language is very PG. Obviously, if a topic centers around certain aspects of sexuality, it may or may not be appropriate for certain ages, but I can't see listening to this being a problem in most cases with kids around.
So give it a try and see what happens!

Fantastic podcast and best podcast host
Jonathan Wolf is the best podcast presenter I’ve listened to and I never miss a show. He somehow manages to be witty and soothing at the same time, and asks the questions that you’d be asking if you had a chance. He also makes sure the subject matter and any scientific terms are clearly explained.
He is very relatable has such a good rapport with his guests. I always look forward to this show because it is so interesting.

Why this podcast is better
All of the guests on this show are bringing the many years of scientific research accumulated around health to you and me. This means the advice/information is evidence based. Not just some guy’s opinion. It’s backed with real data

Blah blah
Listened to the menopause episode and they waited until the last 15 minutes of the show to get to the content that was promised and then it was old news.

Great podcast
This is pitched at a really good level where it is understandable but not watered down. I also like the summary episodes that come out later to sort of refresh. All around solid podcast.

It’s not a death sentence? My gynecologist wanted to send me to the ER with my menopause symptoms causing me so many physical and mental problems. They totally wrote me off!

Love it!!
I’ve been a Registered Dietitian for 25 years. I often take note of certain episodes and then suggest to patients to listen. I enjoy listening to the podcast regularly and I’m finding out that my patients do too.

Science?
Seems to cover more nutrition fads, rather than nutrition science. I thought the episode on chocolate was interesting. The others I’ve heard are dubious.

I am so grateful for Zoe
I found Zoe Podcast program months ago and am grateful for their dedication towards helping people, like myself, getting healthier through education gleaned from science. I have taken to heart what I am learning and have seen my own results such as a healthier microbiome through small changes in my diet. Who would have thought removing UPFs from your diet would actually save your life!! THANK YOU so much as I have NEVER had regular bowel movements and now, I get excited when I do!!! People throw parties for birthdays and other celebrations and I want to have one to celebrate my regular bowel movements!! Please keep the information flowing forward!! We are listening to you.

Yikes
As a nutrition professional I found this difficult to listen to. The New Years podcast should have been pretty safe I thought to see if this is truly science based information and while I agree with their points I find the way they deliver the information cringe worthy. Full of fear mongering, talking in circles and never actually clarifying a useful approach for people.

Great podcast!
I love the broad range of topics this podcast covers. Also appreciate the longer length deeper dives into each topic lately.

Disappointing
The episode titled ‘Your new menopause toolkit’ was a total disappointment. It was a 35 minute litany of the horrors of menopause and about 90 seconds of any type of helpful solutions that amounted to ‘eat more fiber, less sugar and do weight bearing exercise’. There was no toolkit.

Menopause
I love your show. I listen to it every week. I’m very happy to see that you had Dr Marie Claire Haver on your show to discuss menopause since she is a menopause specialist. I follow her on social media. She has tremendously significant advice and recommendations for women going through menopause. However, on an earlier podcast, you had one of the doctors who did that completely flawed women’s health initiative study 20+ years ago. And when she was on your podcast, she kept trying to defend aspects of that study that were completely flawed, and that every menopause specialist since then has been trying to walk back. You discussed that study with Dr. Haver, which was that a significant number of the participants were over the age of 62 and were given HRT way past menopause. And there was a huge explosion of misinformation regarding HRT at that time which then contributed to thousands of women not being given proper HRT for their symptoms. That flawed study, where they released the findings without having completed all the statistical data research, has caused so much suffering for so many women and when you had that doctor on your show, you never addressed that. she was given a platform in which to defend many of those findings that were incredibly destructive for so many women in the following 20 years.
