Grateful for great listen
WFNP stresses joy of wine, nerdy tidbits and the people behind the juice. As a sommelier and wine drinker for 25 years, I learn so much but more so, this type of convo based pod stokes my interest in geographic areas I may skip over or not dig deep enough.
Going to her Patreon right now!

The best wine knowledge pod
My go to site for the most interesting and informative POD on all things wine. Access to the vast library is invaluable. Thank you ES!

Somm I to Somm II // Thank You
Hands down the most approachable, well-researched, clearly articulated, interesting and not least of which, enjoyable to listen to on this topic. This podcast helped me accelerate my studies and preparation for my CoM, Intro Somm pin and now joining Patron as a Thank Yoh and more so, to continue the journey. Exceptional content! Cheers.

No Longer a Pod for “Normal People”
I really like and appreciate the episodes of this podcast that actually break down wine as a study. They are mostly digestible and help you learn about various terms and grapes and regions and industries. However, these episodes are few and far in between at this point. The issue you run into with a podcast of this premise is running out of basics to talk about. Now, it’s almost a little bit insulting how much of the content is straight up pretentious. The podcast has devolved into the opposite of what it set out to be. The host/creator is so experienced/business-ey at this point that her content is coming off as very unapproachable.

Solo episodes are good
Bypass all the interviews. She fires off 7 questions at once, interrupts people, and constantly tries to prove how much she knows. Episodes with the spouse are also painful. He interrupts and disrupts the flow at every possible opportunity, and she’s often patronizing in response (can’t blame her, he’s pretty annoying), which makes you wonder, why does she ever have guests! It detracts from the helpful info she provides in solo episodes.

Great Show
Been listening for years and really enjoy the diversity of shows. From overviews to dorky deep dives to fascinating interviews with folks in and around the industry, this podcast always keeps me interested and entertained.

Original episodes
What happened to all the original episodes that explored particular grapes and regions? Those episodes were the best wanted to listen again

Lovely Podcast
I love hearing the fresh perspectives; the snobbery is taken away, but full wine geek info. Helpful for all types of wine enthusiasts.

I am a normal person who likes wine
WFNP has totally changed my appreciation of wine. I’m not trying to be a wine snob. It has helped me be able to identify the types and styles of wine that I like. It’s helped tremendously narrow down my preferences and help me find new wines.

Outstanding wine Podcast!
I have listened to Elizabeth on this podcast for several years. It is consistently fun, informative and educational all at the same time. Her casual, no nonsense approach to educate listeners on the topic of wine is very refreshing. Elizabeth has a deep knowledge of both wine and the wine industry. I enjoy listening to her show whether she has a guest or is doing the show by herself. Her classes are also informative and a lot of fun and she organizes wine tasting trips abroad. Join the community you won’t regret it!

Wine curious?
I enjoy a lot of podcasts, but I set aside time just for E’s weekly podcast! It appeals to the wine curious at every level. As I learn, taste and understand more, I often re-listen to certain episodes to enjoy the next layer.
The Patreon community is superb.

The “go to” Wine Podcast
I’ve listened to this podcast for a couple of years now and eventually joined Patreon both because I support what Elizabeth is doing and because I love having access to the back-catalog. In the time she’s been doing the show Elizabeth has covered an amazing amount of territory and topics, and while I don’t know that it is possible to ever cover every last topic in wine, this podcast is my go-to podcast whenever I have a topic I want to learn more about. I especially appreciate the region/area overviews before I travel somewhere. When it comes to wine podcasts, if you don’t start here you’re missing out.

The place to go for wine education and entertainment
I’ve been listening to Elizabeth for years now and I have learned so much by just listening and taking a few of her awesome classes. You learn and it’s fun. Elizabeth gets into the history, the types of grapes, how to taste, food pairings and so much more.
I am so much more confident and look forward to the wine list at restaurants and shopping for wine.
Elizabeth is down to earth and tells you what you need to know in such an approachable way. Highly recommend and join Paetron to get access to all her amazing past shows.

I love this show. I get to study up on different wines while I work in the winery! Haha. 5/5

Elizabeth consistently delivers a smart, entertaining podcast that opens up the world of wine to listeners. I’m always learning something new and adding wines to my must try list!

Excellent
Love is all over the place on this show. Elizabeth’s passion and dedication to what she offers the public are admirable and obvious. She provides honest and in-depth insight into the wine world, and it’s fun and easy to understand. The website is impeccable, easy to navigate, and offers a wealth of valuable information. On top of that, customer service is excellent. Congrats, you’re amazing

Pitched at a perfect level for wine lovers who still have much to learn.
Elizabeth is incredibly knowledgeable and delivers interesting new content week after week. This is my favorite wine podcast.

The best wine podcast by far
If your looking or a podcast that tells you drink this wine, “I give it 95” , or uses jargon like it’s masculine, bold, coy, fresh. This isn’t the podcast for you.
Instead you can learn what to do when standing in your wine shop staring at the wall of Cabernet Sauvignons. You learn what to expect from the wine made in California vs. the one from Chile or France. Do you want to bring your white wine drinking friend a wine for their backyard party? Then listen to the podcasts describing the different white wine grapes and how they vary in taste and work with the food at the party. Most importantly you will learn you don’t need to skip the rent this month to get a wine that you and your friends will like. The talk of “terroir” and climate change may be nerdy but over time you will find yourself more confident when making choices about your wines and enjoying more styles of wine. And finally you will find yourself listening to again to past podcasts to refresh your wine knowledge

Fun, easy and a little nerdy!
This is hands down the best podcast out there on wine for people who want to just learn the information without the snobbery. Just pick an episode and start listening! You will LEARN and LAUGH a ton. Elizabeth is an incredible teacher - you’ll be surprised how quickly you start to know a lot.

Favorite wine podcast!
No one has influenced my wine knowledge as much as Elizabeth Schneider through her podcasts. I’m currently studying for my WSET diploma (level 4) and listen to Elizabeth to make the content understandable. She monies how to break down technical stuff while keeping it real!

I love this show
I’ve learned so much about Wine and Elizabeth has guided me to visit wineries that I never would’ve known about. There are so many episodes to look back on when I’m researching specific wine and I love that.

Learned so much over the years.
I’ve been listening since 2018. I find the content thorough but not so deep that I would get lost. During Covid times, Elizabeth’s podcast was a welcome oasis from world insanity and with no travel, I signed up for two wine tastings which were wonderful. If you sign up on Patreon you get show notes which are very helpful and informative. Well worth a listen. Would be nice to have her husband make an appearance once in a while again. He always asked the questions I had.

My favorite source for wine information!
Really love this show. Approachable, yet informative. Funny, witty and light. I get a ton of great information across the whole spectrum of wine. Inspires me to try new wines and bring new wines to my friends. The format is more like casual conversations than a stuffy classroom. Thank you!

The Greats!
Episode 521 about Tokaji was a revelation. I’ve had these wines several times and only today have I come to understand what makes them truly special.

Great Podcast for Learning More About Wine!
If you are a normal person who loves to drink wine, and are even a little bit curious about wine, history of wine, wine regions of the world, grape varietals, food pairing, culture, winemaking techniques, you name it, Elizabeth Schneider will cover it. She is that friend you know who happens to be a sommelier.

No worth your time
You can find so many better wine podcasts to listen to. Don’t bother downloading, keep looking. Also, the host is annoying.

Yawn
I found the podcast boring and somewhat pedestrian. If you need help falling asleep, this would be perfect. Not sure what vibe they’re going for. This is the Lamarca of wine podcasts.

Boring and dull
This podcast doesn’t have the enthusiasm wine lovers should have. I learned little to nothing in four episodes. Will not subscribe. Look elsewhere.

It’s Fine
I have been listening to this show for over a year, and honestly it’s been good enough for me to come back week after week. Unfortunately, though, I don’t feel like my wine knowledge has grown that much over the past year as someone who recently discovered wine.
There is a lot of information here, but it’s just read in succession and can be difficult to follow. If you are familiar with wine or wine regions, you will probably enjoy this show more since you will be more familiar with the subject.
Definitely not a show for beginners since the host quickly goes through the information and hard to pronounce names and varieties. Maybe in a few years I’ll have a more positive review as my wine knowledge will hopefully grow.

Good content… but the interruptions 😬
Some episodes are inspiring and super approachable, however, she yells over her guests and I can feel my face cringe every time she interrupts her guests… which is very often.

Tired of the constant environment lectures
Good content for the most part but the whole global warming, sustainability and environmental concerns color every episode it seems. You can even hear a couple of the guests get a little frustrated with the constant talk about the ‘how sustainable is that’, ‘that seems wasteful’, ‘are you exploring other less environmental impacting methods’ etc comments. Some of that is legit, some not and some just ignorant like the comment about global warming causing leaves to stay green longer on trees. Geesh, do a little homework. I’ve moved on to other wine podcasts.

Great wine podcast, BBQ not as much
Really tried to enjoy this podcast, but the first episode I picked was about Wines for Barbecue and they lost me immediately trying to use Barbecue as a verb and calling a grill a Barbecue….
Just kidding. Really enjoy it from a wine stand point. Educational but not too dry. A great podcast to learn more about wine. Just pretend they are saying “cookout” in the barbecue episode

Voice Of Host
Yikes! Sounds like a cat’s meow and bark of a little dog all in one. Especially on EarPods.
And her guest take a beating. And she constantly interrupts her guest and she… on and on.

What a ride thru vino
Just listened to all the episodes on Italian wine; wow! So informative, entertaining, and passionate about the world of wine. Love this!

Decent
This is an occasionally decent, but never great, podcast about wine. Ironically some of the interviews would only be appealing to the most pretentious of wine snobs. And Elizabeth doesn’t shine as an interviewer, often interrupting her guests, and rarely drawing much of interest out of them. Also somewhat ironic given the name, is that this podcast is far from one that a wine newbie would enjoy. Her husband (whom she regularly talks down to and puts in his place) co-hosts and helps by asking “ordinary person” questions. But all told, this podcast is often just more wine snobbery as Elizabeth does her best to flaunt her expertise.

Love the variety
I learn more and more each time I listen, I love the conversations the two have back and forth, it’s entertaining.
It’s great to listen & then register to the episodes I need. I look forward to joining and going on a trip with these wonderful wine connoisseurs!

Absolutely fabulous!!!!!!
I recently discovered WFNP I started at the beginning, even though that was 2011 the info is still relevant except for prices of wine ☺️. After the first episode I knew I’d found a excellent podcast. I work at a wine bar I know a little but I want to learn more to feel confident about recommending wine to customers. I’ve learned soooo much 90+ episodes in. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to expand their knowledge about wine. I recently also purchased Elizabeth’s book, thank you Elizabeth doing what you do!!!! You and your husband are hilarious I love the banter and nerdy stuff. 💕

Great educational and fun wine podcast
This podcast is fantastic and provides so much more knowledge about specific regions, varietals and producers. Very down to earth and helpful, really without the fake snobbery of many wine shows. Keep up the work, the book is excellent as well!

The Best Wine Podcast
In my opinion the best wine podcast by a large margin. The Pods that they highlight the regions are excellent! Great podcast for beginners, intermediate and advanced intermediates.

Interruptions
This is a pretty decent tool to learn wine. There is some good information and I have definitely used it. That’s the good thing about this podcast. The bad things are, however, fairly glaring. The host is really bad with interrupting her guests. It really made me uncomfortable to the point I have more or less stopped listening. The banter between the host and her husband is pretty amusing and I did enjoy that part. The interruptions though…. Yikes.
