Another example of corporate greed
Don’t have time to spend on a company that can’t keep their promises of no payment for hardware upgrades, and talks about a whoop “community” when clearly they see a difference between the common people and the elites with their tiers and data access. My membership is up in 18 months then I’m gone.

Mike White
I randomly stumbled upon this podcast while I was looking for Mike White interviews and I was pleasantly surprised. The host asked interesting questions, kept Mike on track (lol), and had a soothing energy and voice. Now, I want to WHOOP!

Tedious to listen to
Kristen Holmes is good at many things. And perhaps, one day she will be able to conduct a good interview. But currently, her interviews are difficult to listen to. She cuts off her guests and starts her own thought on the topic, she interrupts the guest before the guest has completed the answer to her question, and she side tracks her guests with new questions before they’ve answered the previous question. It is tedious to listen to and I’ve decreased my exposure to her interviews because of it.

Great podcast!
SO glad they have this podcast. Great Information, thank you!

Incredibly disappointed that Whoop would give this hateful person any time. This is a fitness app, not a political one. She is supporting a convicted rapist felon and we’re suppose to be okay with you giving her a platform?!? No thank you.

Loved thebody comp episode!
new listener here -Just listened to the body composition episode and found it super insightful! I’ve been training for a couple years now but getting into different types of training as of late and while you can find so many resources for certain exercises, form, recovery, etc the actual highlight in body comp and how it impacts/is impacted by so many things I think is something we should all be learning more on and at all ages! Really changes how we look at ourselves and helps flag those misleading ads of magic pills or diets or one exercise that will change everything 🙄Love episodes on where with data we can learn so much of what makes us our best self both physically and mentally to perform the most trivial tasks (e.g. getting off the toilet solo) to intense training.

Horrible business with horrible customer service
I only had my whoop for two months and stopped charging completely, I got second charger and it’s not working either, doesn’t go beyond 20% why did I pay for whole year if your devices don’t work, they useless now, I cancelled my membership and still have 8 months to go with non working device. Very frustrating and horrible customer service because no one cares, I was listening to this podcast and decided to give it to try but whoop company doesn’t have dissent people who care about their customers

Amazing Podcast
This podcast is incredible. Love all the hosts and guests. Kristin Holmes is a fantastic scientist and is incredible at her job, but if she keeps talking over people that she’s interviewing and interrupting them, I’m going to rip my hair out.

Podcast is amazing. Their product invaluable
The podcast and the wearable will tesch you to give your body and mind what they need to thrive. 11/10 for both. Been using my whoop for a month (newbie here) and already am seeing how my work affects my stress levels and sleep even on days where I thought I was in better shape than I was. The body keeps the score and whoop helps you improve that score.

Great Info, Audio Not So Much
I can’t get enough of the podcasts. They are amazing and informative. The audio isn’t great which makes it hard to focus on the info.

Highly recommend!
WHOOP has quickly become a standout favorite of mine! I’m consistently impressed by the engaging conversations, insightful content, and actionable ideas. I truly learn something valuable every time I tune in. 10/10 recommend!

Just wanted to say the interview with Ken was fantastic. I can’t get enough of his story and extremely hard work he puts into life and everything that he does.

Holmes Needs to Sharpen her Skills
Holmes doesn’t spend the time needed to effectively interview others. It’s like watching a kitten try to catch a butterfly. She needs to organize her interview. She needs to write down her questions in advance so she doesn’t ramble. They should be succinct so we listen more to the interviewee instead of her. The Zone 2 interview had a lot of potential. She never had Laursen define what fat oxidation was, its mechanics, why Zone 2 increases it, etc. Based on the intro, Laursen knows a lot about this subject, but she didn’t bring it out. Instead she veered to diabetes, need for good sleep, clean sheets, menopause, and snoring.
This isn’t the first of her interviews I’ve come away with more annoyed than knowledgeable.

Motivating Interviews With Relevant Guests
I have learned a lot from the guests about physiology and life perspectives and approaches. The topics are relevant to today’s issues. Always worth the listen!

Love but new host…
I love my whoop and the podcast is a great additional value to the product. The new host needs to take some time to review better interviewing skills. The “maybe tell me…” and hesitant, stuttering lack of directness in asking questions etc is distracting to the actual interview. And this can be remedied with understanding how to interview better. I used to love this podcast and listen to it all the time. (I love hearing more female voices on the platform, that is not the issue to be clear! I am a female and I want more women on the platform but her interviewing and hosting skills have room for improvement).

Valuable
I typically enjoy this podcast, although it sometimes can feel a little sterile and blah. The Whoop product itself is decent. I enjoy mine for the most part but my wife’s data is ridiculously inaccurate and Whoop support is an absolute joke. They handle everything through a chat and will nearly kill you with automated replies to any question before you ever get to speak to a human (still via chat). I’m unsure if I will keep my Whoop after this year as I suspect there may be better products out there.

Older Male feedback
57 yr old wearing whoop 1.5yrs. Have sleep apnea, do crossfit, walk 2 miles daily, jump rope and work 100% remote. Rely on whoop to be informative and proactive for health. Love the addition of Stress monitoring and will review pre/post activities to validate actual mood and feelings. Great job as always Whoop!

Recommend only for people who have the Whoop band
This podcast has some good discussions about exercise and fitness, and many episodes are applicable to anyone. However, so many conversations are centered around the Whoop and Whoop data, so if you don’t have it (because I don’t want to pay a monthly subscription - other fitness trackers don’t have that), it’s less interesting/helpful. I stopped listening when every episode started feeling like one long Whoop ad, with a little fitness discussion mixed in. So this is probably a great podcast for people who have Whoop, but if you’re like me and you don’t, the constant product promotion gets super annoying.

Great supplement to the device
The podcast is a great way for users to learn how to interpret and meaningfully use their whoop data. I appreciate that the show includes representation of high performers from all domains.

Talking over guest
I like the content but Kristen talks over the guests so much it’s a total distraction at times. Ask the question, let them talk and finish their thought, and then follow up.

More promotional than educational
Honestly how useful is Michael Phelps training to me? It’s nice to know not need to know and the athlete is rarely that notable. I want more relevant information on how to improve whoop results, not how a special teamer makes a smoothie.

Varied and informative
Great podcast. Speaker is easy to listen to. Length is appropriate. Interesting insights and info, and the guests provide different vantage points.

Overall Good
Very grateful for whoop and will. You guys need to take an open stance on vxines. The science is out - they have done NOTHING to stop transmission, thousands have been injured, including children. Deaths. Government blocked access to preventive medicine. They censored anything causing jab hesitancy. Having that same Doctor come on and try to tout he was right in any fashion was hilarious. Super bias, egotistical, non sense. I have yet to hear you all talk about the correlation between age, weight, vitamin d, activity levels, cormorbidities , etc. CHILDREN SHOULD NOT TAKE THE VX. Natural immunity is more robust. Please, have an unbias independent doctor like Dr Robert Malone/Dr Peter McCullough. You can still turn it around before this medical error comes to light. The Vx was a HUGE medical error that did nothing but cause adverse reactions and death in healthy people. Natural immunity was always the key. Metabollic health was always the determining factor. Please backpeddle and recorrect. Felt like I was listening to CNN or another marketing arm for pharma.
03/09 Just listened to the report on 1% recovery after booster & they have the data right in front of them but still can’t put it together. Please, someone rattle the team to turn it around🙏🏽 Children were not affected prior to Vx during the delta wave of a stronger variant, but now children are being affected during a weaker variant 😵💫What changed? 💉😵💫.. this is psychosis. I’m very disappointed & feel as if this podcast took a massive turn for the worst. Talk about Natural immunity. Talk about gods gift to us of a radical immune system to fight off something with a 99.8% survival rate without gene therapy & risk of adverse reaction. The statistics are right in front of them. I’ll circle back. Rooting for you guys. Please

Excellent Podcast
Whoop is a life-changing tool and this podcast supports that in so many ways. It’s almost been information overload since I joined last August, but it’s all good, helpful information. Thank you!

Vocal fry…come on now!
The only reason I’m giving four stars and not five is Emily’s vocal fry. It’s honestly one of the most intense vocal fry’s I’ve ever heard and I am surprised no one else has commented on this as it’s quite difficult to ignore. Otherwise great pod, no complaints. Good info. Maybe Emily get a vocal coach? Or just be cognizant of avoiding vocal fry?

Request for Episode
Love this podcast. Today’s episode focuses on female nutrition, would be great to have a similar episode on male nutrition, since many of the topics discussed (ex. proper fueling) are applicable to both genders.

Good podcast, but there are a lot of good podcasts
It does the job in explaining how to use your strap more effectively. I lost a lot of respect for Will during the 1st covid vaccine episode when he suggests everyone should get the vaccine; Emily follows up with an educated response. Personally, I prefer educators who choose to stay open and curious moment to moment, and who are not idealist. This is why I prefer the girl's interviews over Will's; leading me to listen only to select episodes and not subscribing.

Whoop strap inaccurate
The Whoop strap’s HR data is inaccurate compared to my Apple Watch and wahoo Tickr. Although the sleep data (motion data) seems right, the algorithm requires good HR data to measure strain, detect activities, and calculate recovery. If you inquire with customer service about the HR data, they will tell you that you are wearing it wrong (not tight enough and not in the right spot on your wrist.)
As for the podcast, there are some interesting interviews, but the CEO seems a bit obsessed with interviewing other millionaires and billionaires who happen to be amateur athletes. He talks about taking Whoop public and ostensibly cashing in.
Don’t like the criticism? Check the data against other sources. We will see where Whoop is 36 months from now. Especially when anyone can create an app for an Apple Watch that measures activity, sleep, and HR with no special band…

Awesome podcast! Very informative and entertaining
I’ve been using Whoop for about 6 months now. Started using it because of the partnership with Barstool.
Admittedly there is a lot I don’t know about the technical data, but I love being able to track recovery & strain.
Listening to the podcast has been cool to dive into the different aspects of Whoop- especially HRV (still trying to figure out what it is).
Whoop has been a game changer for me & I’m loving the podcasts as well.

Fantastic interviews!
Whoop interviews are amazing. Will's style is so friendly and easygoing but also so detailed. It's such an incredibly informative and entertaining podcast all about fitness, athleticism and perfomance. It's a must listen for sure!

basically a commercial for whoop
Overall an ok podcast. Host not the greatest interviewer and guests just basically shill for whoop.

Great information, great host, great takeaways
Huge fan. I love Will’s interview style. He asks thoughtful questions and makes it a point to really dig into the mind of everyone he talks to. I love the WHOOP product (been a member since 2019 and haven’t taken it off a day since) and truly believe the company has an incredibly bright future ahead. Would love to see some more CrossFit, Women’s Soccer, and College athlete interviews. Keep it up!

Love this podcast
I don’t have a Whoop subscription- yet. I am an avid golf fan and saw that Justin Thomas wears Whoop and did a podcast. I’ve now been listening to as many episodes as I can. As a 28 year old social fitness junkie I want to know how to maximize my day. From knocking out a hard workout in the morning, followed by an 8 hour desk job, then spend the evening doing “fun fitness”-golf, hiking, yoga, paddleboarding, etc. Whoop provides the tools to live life to the fullest. Highly recommend!

I love the episodes with Emily! She is so intelligent and yet explains things in such an easy manner for the listener to understand the details and intricacies of Whoop. Thank you so much for your help

Terrific podcast
Will is a fantastic interviewer and Kristin and Emily are great together taking on the key issues any athlete and Whoop user would want to know and hear about. I have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of guests, their perspectives, and how it applies to our daily lives. The deep dives Emily does on the Whoop collected data and how to interpret your results from it is fantastic and must listen for any strap owner. Thank you for creating meaningful content and for creating the Whoop platform.

Geek in me loves this!
Thank you for the excellent information! I have thoroughly enjoyed the podcasts and information to help us more normal athletes learn how to use the data and how to program our routines to better our performance and overall lifestyle.
Side note - perhaps in your world it’s different, but having graduated from a top athletic university and a lover of college sports, NCAA is commonly referred to as “N-C-double A” as opposed to what I keep hearing on the podcasts as “N-C-2-A”

Great to listen to - even if you don’t have their device
I do not have a Whoop strap, but I really enjoy this podcast. The guests and hosts share a lot of information about fitness and recovery and other related topics. Worth listening to even if you don’t have a whoop strap.

Great content terrible host
This podcast has great content. Very informative and useful. One of my favorite podcasts now. However Will Ahmed is a god awful host. Can stand to listen to him. Nearly bad enough to make me not listen anymore.

Extremely informative podcast
Always share great stories from a wide range of backgrounds. I’ve taken multiple things away from the podcast to optimize my strain and my recovery.

Love the scientific backing and detail
Overall the podcast has been very informative. A few items that I would love you to cover are: How exactly is HRV measured and without being an elite athlete, what is realistic for this measure? Especially Since it plays such a big role in calculating the Recovery score. How is strain measured, heart rate only? Weight training seems to get low strain scores even compared to a light jog, while the expected recovery seems to be quite different. You mention getting in contact with the hosts but I can’t find any contact information. Is this the only way?
Thanks. I look forward to every new episode.

Love the content, hate the profanity
You have a great podcast and maybe I’m old school, but in day to day conversation which add value, you’d raise the bar to stay clean and drop the profanity. I look forward to hearing from your different guest, then only make it but a few minutes in and have to turn off. My two cents...

Grateful
Will, I appreciate you interviewing outstanding individuals who share how they are able to stay on top. Learned a ton, especially appreciate the practical tips and book recommendations (like Younger Next Year). Thanks again for publishing inspiring stuff, wishing you successful years ahead and please keep publishing.
