Amazing podcast but has ads from oil and gas
I love Roman Mars and he serves a great cause with this podcast and informs us all. Too bad he’s taking ads from oil and gas companies. I’ll have to unsubscribe if it happens again:(

Prof Joh is Fantastic
Professor Joh was my Constitutional Law instructor at King Hall School of Law. She really knows what she is talking about and I’m so glad I have the opportunity to continue to hear her take on evolving politics and how that intersects with the law.

Relieved you’re back
I’m relieved to see you’re back. I’m a blue dot in a red state just trying to wrap my mind around where I’ve found myself, historically.

Listener Hi!
Welcome back
THANK YOU. So happy y’all are back.

Great Prof, annoying host
Good concept and well explained for a mainstream audience. Would give 5 stars if not for the Roman’s often ignorance of the basic facts of the cases at hands; and the chuckles, which might be charming with 99% Invisible but sound callous here especially when the topics are grim. Dry humors are good, no need for delightful giggles.

Thank You
So glad you are back! This is an amazing podcast and I’m excited about new format

Educational show. Please come back!
This show was so helpful breaking down complex issues for those of us that do not grasp constitutional law easily. Please come back!

Now more ever
Mars and Joh appear to have stopped this analysis. Too bad. Their take is much more accessible than Amicus or Strict Scrutiny. Please come back. You made a difference.

Great podcast! Educational and even-keeled
I miss this show, now more than ever! I'm sure you hosts are busy. But could we beg you to do even just a bimonthly lightning round? Pick your top 50 current events, back to "can Trump really do that?", and just give us a "yes," "no," or "we'll see"?

We need more episodes ASAP
This show takes one current issue that touches on constitutional law, and breaks it down into manageable chunks. Starting with the very beginning as the document is written, they work through the historical cases and interpretations. Then they discuss the current issue and how it ties in, as well as arguments from all sides. It must be exhausting to follow whirlwind of administrative orders coming out, when you have perspective. The rest of us need help, and beg you to push through the noise to help us out.

Welcome back, everyone
The show so nice they did it twice. Time to rename it back to Trump Con Law and focus on the one and only. Your anxieties are our anxieties, Roman. Thanks, Elizabeth, for the enjoyable way to learn about these critical topics, like how and why the world may burn.

Should be required listening
I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge about the United States, its constitution, and its governance. The presentation style is engaging and conversational, making the complex concepts accessible and enjoyable to understand.

Deep Fake
I believe the bipartisan border bill was during Biden’s Presidency. That’s why Trump didn’t want it passed.

One of my favorites
I love this approach to making constitutional law approachable to folks who are not lawyers. I love showing the historical approach and the precedents that exist prior to certain issues really allows me to understand the context of where we are at now. Literally one of my favorite shows. I always look forward to an episode release.

Great
Been listening since shortly after its start. Highly recommend if you are interested in legal topics but in normal discussion with non-law students. It is left leaning - kind of obvious. As a lawyer who loved law school (and studying for the bar), it is great. I restarted the other day, and it’s unintentionally foretelling.

So educational, wish it came out more often!
Professor Joh is a great teacher, and Roman asks great questions! I wish the episodes were more regular. Every time crazy news comes out, all the other political coverage makes my blood boil. This show actually makes me learn something, and helps me feel less terrified about the future of the USA… Except the recent ep about presidential immunity, there they convinced me that I’m justifiably terrified 😅

This Way And That
Wisdom meets Law
Joh is an amazing teacher to craft so concise and understandable of an answer in such a short podcast. So interesting to have explained -the origins of the law, how it came to be and how it applies going forward. How a seemingly obscure application to a current situation is effected by the intent or the residual of a law even when YOU think a judicial ruling is missing the point. This podcast explains the rules in the game of justice. So valuable for understanding and accepting and seeing how things that were written long ago are applied to the current day situations. Our lives under the Rule of Law of the Land. I wish she would continue doing these as it's a valuable podcast we all should listen to and learn from.

I love this show. Elizabeth Joh is amazing. Just wish it happened more often

Love This So Much
Thank you for this series - I was actually pre-law as a student and left the field when I realized I liked the history of the law more than the law itself- now I have this show and have loved it since day 1 - even if this nation finally forces the orange moron out of politics by voting to keep him out and making him as non relevant as he should be - keep the show - it’s amazing - thanks again

A Little Dry
But that’s OK cuz the subject matter is the dry-as-bones parchment doc. called our Constitution. She’s absolutely brilliant and knows how to speak with precision. Roman just adds a little comic relief.

I’m so into this podcast
Roman, Jo, for a podcast that has no fanfare you are simply amazing. I rely on you to make sense of what is happening with Trump and our country—and I’m a lawyer and a con law buff! Please keep it coming, especially now! Thanks for this podcast!

An outstanding discussion
So many podcasts try to bring drama to the interview. These discussions are intelligent factual and concise. They draw you in provide you with all the necessary information so you feel confident knowing you can make an informed decision on the subject. Thank you for being authentic.

The Disqualification Clause
I had started to wonder if we'd ever get another episode, and voila! One arrived! It was great. Keep 'em coming. Sporadic is fine if that works for you. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, all the holidays and non-holidays should be filled with joy for all of you! Jan In Northern California

Supreme Court
Please please please do more and more often! Such great knowledge about the law and it’s complexities. So educational. So interesting. I only wish that we had all listened to a podcast like this years ago so that we could have all understood how important the Supreme Court. Thanks Roman. Please do more.

A Sad State of Affairs
Great summation for these interesting times. I’ve been following this podcast from the beginning. Today I was struck by the thought that if the Constitution survives this time, the country that remains will have a great deal of gratitude for someone like Trump who came along and proved the genius behind such a compact. To be sure it is a very unpleasant time but can, after all is said and done, turn out to be quite beneficial. It’s getting through it that’s uncertain…and very stressful.

Making it Stick
There’s an idea in educational psychology, called interleaving, which is simply about learning an idea, leaving it for a while, and coming back to learn and relearn. So here I am again starting at the early episodes as if I’m studying for an exam. Love the show and willing to do it all over again!

Great Stuff
Please please please hoping you’ll comment on Clarence Thomas, Justice Roberts’ letter to Congress, and the growing ‘stench’ as Justice Sotomayor put it. And for what it’s worth I love the weird bouncy intro music.

Love the podcast! Theme song is annoying
That’s all. Please keep doing more! 😍 So concisely informative, insightful, and clear. But for the love of Pete, change that annoying theme song. Or at least shorten it to like 5 seconds. Thank you!!

I LOVE THIS PODCAST SO MUCH AND I WANT MORE THANK U FOR 73 EPISODE I SALUTE YOU ROMAN
So incredibly beautiful shows
Love it, and relevant!
Absolutely fantastic! Informative, entertaining (Roman Mars style), and without a doubt relevant to our times. I’m riveted every time I listen. My only (very mild )complaint is the somewhat infrequent releases of episodes… but that makes it so much sweeter when a new one drops!

Arghh, Vocal Fry!
What the professor says is very interesting and informative, but almost every one of her sentences trails off into absolutely nerve-grating vocal fry. 5-star content with 1-star delivery. I had to turn it off.

informative and great fun

Weighty and Worthy
Mr Mars and Professor Joh are like two friends keeping me up to date on how Constitutional Law affects us all. The prof is interesting and explains everything without sounding pedantic. Roman sound delighted when he learns something new. A great team.

Speak up!
The content is good and the professor is excellent but Roman Mars whispers and swallows his words. Dude, if you’re going to host a podcast speak up so your listeners can actually hear you.
