I listen to this show whenever it comes on, It always gives great heads up for local happenings. It’s also helped me ignore the strange clawing feeling pounding all through my body, sending my blood ablaze late at night when the only sound is my own shaky breath, the tick of the clock, and the steady tapping at my window :) Also Cecil I’m so happy for you and Carlos, i hope you guys know you’re the cutest couple in Night Vale :D

Clearly there is a following for this podcast but it’s not for me. I respect the sarcasm and sneaky points made but I only made it through 3 episodes before deciding to give up. I like silly things but this is just too dumb and pointless for me to enjoy. There are funny bits but there is no storyline. I caught my mind wandering and had to rewind several times because I wasn’t listening. It’s just random silly announcements about characters and what’s going on in town. It might get better if I could hang in there but… there are just too many other podcasts out there. Maybe I’ll try it again sometime.

I like the way this was set up and written. Not a fan of the music, but that’s the only thing. Everything else is fun.

Everyone in this podcast is going through something and it’s best not to ask about it. Highly recommend.

Just a warning if you’re a Christian, they pretty much hate you. I won’t be listening to anymore of this show. I can’t believe in this world, where there’s already enough hate and religious persecution, that you are perpetuating it through your stories.

People keep telling me that I have a sister and that her name is “Shamma” or something. Sometimes I feel like I can see her face, just there beyond the blackness of my vision. She’s reaching out to me, eyes vacant and yawning like the maw of some uncaring, mechanical intake orifice. If I focus, her silent cries of anguish seep into my ears until I can only hear the cracking of mirrors. “Stop,” she says to me, “stop listening to this podcast!” I shiver. I panic, silently; kept still like sleep paralysis. Then, when it all clears, when the sight of my “sister” and the sound of her screams leaves me… I hear the sound of Cecil talking and I forget about whatever it was I was panicked about. I’m sure it’s not important 😁

It’s hard for me to listen to this podcast because Cecil’s voice makes me want to kiss another man so bad it actually hurts

I’m just starting this podcast now after finishing the Magnus archives recently. For anyone who loves the Magnus archives, you should definitely give this a try! It’s funny, spooky, and an all-around lovely listening experience. Give it a go!

It just doesn’t get any better than Night Vale. Been listening for years; I always have fun hanging out with my friends Cecil, Carlos, Steve, the Faceless Old Woman etc. They are such creepy comforts. If you haven’t seen them live yet, do it! Done it twice now and it is so worth it

My most favorite podcast! It’s perfect for listening to it while multitasking since don’t need to know anything to follow the story! I 100 percent recommend it to anyone and everyone! I can’t show my admiration towards this show through animalistic noises and banshee-like wails, so this little review will have to do. Night Vale Community Radio is a great way to avoid being attacked by boredom and librarians! The humor and quirky strangeness in this podcast and our quirky town is what makes this radio show how great it is. Cecil is a great radio host and a certainly great fellow being in our little town, unlike Steve Carlsberg. Ugh… Steve… Anyways, say hello to Khoshekh for me! (But really, great show)

Narrated by the Voice of Night Vale, Cecil, listeners get to know the major community members, and interpersonal relationships prominent in town from what’s happening in the Desert Flower Bowling Alley and Arcade Fun Complex, to what’s DEFINITELY NOT happening in the Dog Park. Every episode a new “Big Bad”, a mysterious stranger, or “a story about…who”? Welcome to Night Vale was the first podcast I ever heard, back in 2013 and I have enjoyed for over 12 years now. Scattered with fun voice guests of Thrilling Adventure Hour, as well as many others in the NYC and Neo-Futurist circles, I revisit the small town of Night Vale frequently to experience all the fun and horror all over again.

This is the best podcast. I know it helped me get through some dark times. It is well formatted and the episodes just keep on coming. I’m always ecstatic for the next one thank you Night Vale.

This is the best podcast I’ve listened to ever ALL HAIL THE GLOW CLOUD

When episode one opens and I hear the line, “The future is here. And it’s hovering about 100 feet above the Arby’s”. I was hooked. I found this podcast from a review on Midst, and absolutely had to listen. I’m loving every episode, every wacky and slightly horrifying “sponsor” segment, and the way that NOTHING is weird about Night Vale until the episode “Cassette”. The weather segment is skippable for me, as I’m listening to a podcast and not music, so don’t put music in my podcast—but the rest of the show makes up for it. Love you, Night Vale! Wish I was there. Kind of. Not really.

I’ve been a fan of the podcast for years, back when I first started college when I was 17 (it’s been 10 years!) and I find myself coming back to this podcast from time to time, every single time. The storyline, the characters, the setting of Night Vale are all so interesting! Highly recommend listening to it, the episodes may seem a little daunting but if you listen a couple episodes a day, you’ll catch up! It’s definitely worth the listen 🫶🩷

This is one of the most brilliant things I’ve ever listened to, but the immersion is completely ruined due to the ads recently placed in the middle of the episode (in addition to the many at the beginning and end!). I understand the creators need to make money but it ruins the immersion so much that I will no longer listen, and it was inserted into all of the old episodes. Please revert to no mid-roll!!

I started listening to this on a road trip and now I can’t stop. This podcast is so funny and has great characters. Every episode has me laughing. I love how Cecil is so nonchalant about everything, like “The city council has put up a new dog park, remember there are no dogs allowed in the dog park, there are no people allowed in the dog park, you may see hooded figures in the dog park, do not approach these figures.” I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who read this

I love WTNV sm!! But the episodes are so short and (at least in the early episodes) nearly 1/3 of the episode is ad content. I understand needing them but there are so many they are split into so many chunks that I can't get immersed because I'm constantly skipping around. I wish they would cap the amount of time spent on ads and just get them all out of the way in the beginning or at the end.

nothing witty here I just love this podcast a lot and am glad it exists :) been a listen since the first few episodes, fell far behind for a while, and caught up a few months ago. happy to be here

I love WTNV, I have been listening since 2021, and have listened to all the episodes from the pilot to the most recently released. The characters and vibe that the creators set up has carried me through good times and bad. I have even read the books which are also phenomenal. And don’t even get me started on the reoccurring themes and detailed imagery that make this show a home for me. It is worth a listen. Some people think there is not enough plot, but personally I think it is just right. WTNV is its own entity, not a soap opera. My only complaint would be that recent episodes have actual ad reads in the middle, which really messes with the storytelling. Overall though, I will never be able to put into words how much this show truly means to me.

I’m sorry but this is the best podcast I have ever heard and I love it. From episode one I was a Cecilos Stan and it had been about half a year and I have gotten to episode 230 something and ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT. very eerie but also casual! it’s super comforting in an odd way, and a little lighthearted for the horror aspect. i love it, and it makes me feel weirdly safe and seen.

Well caught up on the pods, several of the books, and am coming to see a live show this summer with my daughter who introduced me to the world of Nightvale! Keep up the excellent work and stay weird!

Some of the best story telling happening currently. In any genre. No exaggeration

The few bad reviews that exist are often complaining that they wish there was more show (So they liked the show) or they’re confused by the premise. It’s an amazing and unique fiction show with an atmosphere that anyone who has been listening to the radio at night understands. Yes, the narrator is supposed to sound professional— it’s a story told indirectly via someone doing their job. At the risk of ruining the joke, the dissonance you feel is the entire point.
