Long time listener since I was a kid and my mom would put on NPR on our local radio station in KY. Most times NPR was the only reliable news that covered events around the world. Now with Up First I get the same unparalleled journalism and a diverse group of hosts I know and trust! Sometimes I can’t listen to the news live on the radio so Up First is just the right choice for me when I need to get caught up on today’s news. Thank you Up First!

i have been listening to NPR up first daily for almost 6 years. out of all of news sources they are the most fact based. my observation is they often use words with negative connotation as well as provide less context when referring to right wing issues vs words with more positive connotations and added context if having to tell a story about issues on the left. i would still recommend because it's the best that exists, but they really should try to do better.

I absolutely HAVE to start my morning with Up First! It feels weird not to, and honestly, I wish you aired on Sunday too because my Sundays feel off when I don’t get an Up First episode first thing… When I turn on the news I feel like there are so many different blips of news stories, and I like that Up First just gives me the basic facts that I need to know to understand a story. I love the personalities of the hosts I believe you guys deserved that Golden Globe award over Amy Poehler! I love Amy Poehler… but you guys are awesome! Thank you for bringing me the news first thing in the morning, every morning! 🙂

Listening to Up First is how I guaranteed I have a basic understanding of what’s going on in the world. No matter how busy I am, I make time for the program.

I listen to NPR UpFirst Monday-Friday in the morning. It’s part of my routine. I don’t have time to read the paper and watch TV. The reporters on this podcast curate important stories for me to consume in a short podcast. One last thing - they have a wide variety of voices on the podcast, which I enjoy. Way to collaborate!

I trust that I can get factual, largely unbiased news coverage here. I truly look forward to listening to this every morning with my coffee as I get ready for the day. Up First is the very first news I turn to everyday. Its hosts are smart, trustworthy and interesting. I don’t know what I would do without NPR.

The best breakdown of the news of the day

I love the concept of getting the top news stories under 10 minutes to listen to each morning, But I find it increasingly difficult to listen to the biased news of NPR and have been switching more and more to CNN‘s top five things. I just want to listen to the news without the added color or spin but Up First finds every opportunity to add some snide criticism with every story. They also bring politics into every story making it evident they are pushing their agenda. Steve Inskeep is absolutely the worst offender of adding a left wing agenda to each topic. It’s irritating and exhausting Less bias , more news please!
