#060 Garfagnana - hidden Tuscan hills near Lucca

Explore Tuscany beyond Florence and surrounds and you'll discover areas rich with local culture and cuisine and interesting landscapes. Today we're headed to the Garfagnana hills that are rugged and covered in chestnut trees in contrast to the vine covered regions of Chianti and Val D'Orcia.

The Garfagnana is close to one of our favorite cities Lucca and also the northern Tuscan coast. It's an interesting place to explore and we'll find out some of its secrets from our guest Buzz McCarthy who has lived there for many years.
