I’ve listened to every episode and it’s fun, entertaining as well as informative. I’ve fly fished for 30 years but don’t get to go as often as I’d like. This show helps keep the mental side of the sport fresh between trips.

I started listening a year or so ago and quickly became hooked. I went back and started listening from episode 1 and expect to be current by spring 2026. These are genuine folks with real passion for this great sport. This podcast has something for everyone. I started fly fishing just over a year ago. I have read/listened to everything VFC has released and have learned a ton this past year. There is so much to try and cover but these guys break it down better than anyone I’ve found. They’re not stuck-up, just regular guys that have put in a ton of time in on the water. Give them a listen and joint the Skool group we have going. It’s a great community and the only kind of “social media” I’ll ever do. Great show run by awesome people.

I find this podcast, very relaxing and enjoyable to listen to. He has a good voice for podcasting and has lots of knowledge to share.

So glad I did because I found your show and it is WAY better! Was wondering if you’ve ever fished in New England? Great Podcast!! Love to format. I’ve been fly fishing for about 11 years and I learn something every time I listen. Good information mixed with some humor to keep things light and interesting—keep up the “dad jokes”.

What a great resource for those looking to improve as a fly fishermen/fly tier. I listen to podcasts while I work which at times doesn’t allow me to concentrate on what’s being said as much as I’d like. On several occasions I’ve flagged episodes to relisten when I can focus or take notes to use when preparing to tie my next flies or head out to the river. It feels like most people in fly fishing think they have to talk to you like they are experts or know more than they really do, Spencer and Alex avoid this over speak and pretentiousness with their approach. They understand the focus of their podcast and give new and interesting topics each week to keep you informed and entertained. I’ve already recommended this podcast to my fishing buddies and highly recommend that any fly fisherman give it a listen.

I recently discovered Untangled and have been consuming the knowledge Spencer imparts to his audience. I’ve learned so much about fly fishing from VFC. I’m still putting that information into practice but know for certain that I’m one step ahead than my previous fly fishing adventures. Thank you for sharing VFC and Spencer! They also have an awesome YouTube site with Beginner Fly Fishing Masterclass that is top notch.

I only recently started listening. But I have listened to about 50 episodes. The older episodes had horrible sound. I had to constantly monitor it so I didn’t blow my ears out. So glad they’ve fixed that. The show is super educating. Most of the time I listen while I am having a cigar, fishing, or driving to fishing.

Great podcast for those new to fly fishing and for tips for those who have been at it a while. They cover great topics. Great crew.

Love the show. The podcasts are short but full of information. After catching a recent episode I’ve gone back to episode 1 to listen to them all up to this date. Great job! Keep it up!

I normally find podcasts to be hard to listen to and rather repetitive in topic, however, the constant reintroduction of topics pertinent to fish, fly fishing, angling, and fishing production topics that vary between episode make the show very enjoyable. The funny eccentricity of the host Spencer and his demeanor of his personality make listening to the podcast a lovely experience and I learn something new every time! A 10/10 production.

I’m an experienced fly angler who listens to LOTS of fishing podcasts. Spencer and the VFC crew make excellent videos and podcasts. I’ve especially loved their Masterclass videos in particular.

These guys talk to everybody I’ve been three years and these guys make the avalanche of information. easier to understand by giving real world, examples and situational awareness plus they are real about it all they don’t hide there bloopers, they work with them. It’s what makes the show truly great it shows that we all go through the same struggles.

In my opinion this is one of the most articulate and easy to listen to Fly Fishing podcasts out there. No pushy sales content, just great advice and real world knowledge. Very light hearted but seriously good info.
