Life changing insights
Thought work is the ticket for learning how to minimize emotional spiraling. Kara spells it all out. It’s made a tremendous difference in my relationship with myself. I highly recommend this podcast.

Life changing
Kara is amazing. I have found her approach to thought work practical and actionable AND it has created existential change. It is modern philosophy for humans socialized as women. It has been so freeing for me to get to decide what I think and do and let go of the should have socialization. Thank you, Kara!

Thank you
Kara has a way of communicating what my thoughts are that I can’t put into words myself. Why was I doing that? Why do I take any responsibility for failed relationships? All of that and so much more. Thank you for explaining my brain

Kara’s Approach is Transformative
Kara is smart, insightful and reads minds. Well, not really, but she seems to be able to articulate the thoughts and concerns that float in my mind, and she names the issues and helps to provide a most practical framework for reflection. Her podcasts are on repeat for me. Her book is terrific. She is an incredible find. I recommend her to everyone.

Game changer
It’s not an overstatement to say this podcast has changed my life. The first episode I listened to helped cause a major paradigm shift for me that has rippled out into every area of my world. I’ve listened to every episode and joined the society. I can’t get enough!! Kara has a way of making this work (based on ancient philosophy) so accessible. Thank you for this work, Kara!!

Insightful, life-altering, and FUN!
I love how Kara draws examples from her own life to give meaning to her message. I appreciate her honesty, truths from her personal journey, and her sense of play in delivery. This podcast always gives me a boost and opens my eyes.

Game changer!
I discovered Kara a few years ago when I was in an unhealthy relationship and couldn’t get myself to leave. Through her podcast and society, I learned to think differently and I learned to change my thoughts. My favorite tool I learned is the Thought Ladder. I use it all the time. This podcast has been the most influential podcast I have listened to and I listen to a lot of them! I have had so many “ah-ha!” moments listening to Kara. She is phenomenal. Thank you so much Kara for all you do! As a solo mom, I credit much of my sanity and happiness to you!

Fantastic is every way!
I love everything about Kara’s thought processes and topics. Incredible podcast for personal growth!
I was going through an extremely difficult time 5 years ago and binge listened to every single episode, journaling on concepts and creating thought ladders. After about one year of that, I attended an in-person weekend and all the work I had done suddenly clicked: On Day 1, every problematic thought I had about the issue flipped on its head and I can look back 4 years later and say that my life is still magnificently different.
I still listen to every single episode and continue to be a member of the program as a maintenance measure

Thank you
Thank you for providing different perspectives in how to think different scenarios. Appreciate the shorter episodes to focus on a topic of a time and makes it easier to listen to them again too.

Other people’s Opinions episode
The recent episode on why certain people’s opinions hurt more than others has been on repeat. It is a perfect, concise explanation of this issue that so many of us have, and really opened my eyes to why I am so often feeling the way I am. I already sent this episode to my therapist so we can discuss it later this week!

Love Kara
Love the podcast, love the book, love her coaching program. I send this podcast to so many women. If I could only have one podcast on an island for the rest of my life it’s this one. Thanks Kara

Helped me so much
Kara’s podcast has helped me so much the past couple years. The thought work I’ve learned here has proved invaluable. I am truly grateful!

Very relatable
My favorite part of this podcast is how relatable Kara is. Kara’s latest episode is one of those rare gems that makes you stop and rethink how I’ve been handling disagreements.
The big takeaway? Conflict doesn’t have to end in agreement. Honestly, that one hit me hard.
I highly recommend Kara’s podcast.

Too heavy on feminist theory for me
I’m a female, I worked in a male-dominated industry (financial services management consulting), and I personally wasn’t on the receiving end of sexism. I know, I was lucky? But I guess that’s why I can’t last through the ten minutes of feminist theory when I’m trying to learn how to make decisions.
Ironically , I just lectured someone today in a different forum about why it’s not racist to try to support black owned businesses …. the long history of racism in America and the toll it’s taken, yadda yadda yadda. So I don’t know why I feel this was over the top.
I may rethink, give me a few weeks.

Not what it used to be
I listened to this podcast on my walks and learned some great things. It began to become a little more like click bait/ advertising. You think your listening and will find out ways to help yourself but it’s more so asking if you identify with xyz- then telling you to buy the book, course, or special membership/club. The first several minutes are her just telling you all the great success she’s had with her business, book, wedding planning, etc. Unfollowing after many years.

Love this podcast
Kara is brilliant, I’ve been following her on IG for years and recently have binged her podcast. This is a must listen for anyone who is working to shift their mindset and let go of society nonsense that is messing with their brain ❤️

Hard to Listen to Uptalk
I scrolled the topics and found one I was excited in which to listen, only to find out the speaker is an uptalker. It’s very distracting and gives her less credibility when talking on feminist topics. I am saying this as constructive criticism as I too have been criticized for communicating in ways that portray me as not as confident or less credible (I.e. talking with my hands often).

It’s just marketing
I used to love this show. Lately it’s just been short blips marketing to buy the course. Quit wasting our time and just buy an advertisement.

Life-Changing
I’ve done a lot of therapy and coaching, yet Kara always surprises me with nuggets of things I didn’t know before. Or that I didn’t see due to my socialization as a woman.

Once was great but now it’s just a marketing tool
This used to be a very helpful podcast, but now it’s just marketing for her new business and asking people to sign up for something or buy a book. I understand that she needs to monetize the podcast, but I wish there was a variety of ways for those of us who don’t want to purchase the whole program.

Book
I see how your book will be about self help books but I would like to see these same chapters in your podcast. As well as having your book in huge sales places like barnes and noble, amazon, etc/ which might 🤫 ,increase sales.

Not helpful-aggressive selling
I never learn anything. It’s basically “do you identify with xyz, want to learn how to improve? (Yes, that’s why I’m listening) “well I’m not going to help you here you need to but my course and I’m going to read all the reviews for the remainder of the episode!!”

one of my favorite podcasts !
this podcast has helped so much with my personal development and dating life as well as helping with better managing stress at work

Makes it simple.
And it kinda is when you think about it.
I’m a spiritual person. I think. I like to look for my meanings and messages.
This podcast isn’t it.
What this is, is what the other part of my brain needs to hear. The simple breakdown of, I allow myself (or not) to feel what I feel, think what I think, and everyone else also has that right also.
I don’t.. but I love this podcast in my rotation because it’s what brings it all to the here and now for me… no past, present, future, alternative timelines. Rather my thoughts, my actions right now.

Great podcast
Recently found this podcast and am enjoying it! Episode 312 with guests Dr. Adrienne Mann and Dr. Tyra Fainstad about their peer-reviewed research study was fantastic! Finally! Someone has proven scientifically that coaching actually works to dramatically improve self compassion, burnout, anxiety, among so many other things. So much helpful information in this episode!

Upselling all the time
Her good episodes are quite spotty. Most of the time she’s obsessively and forcefully trying to sell her course.

Most helpful resource I’ve found in years
This podcast has helped me so much. I’m autistic and have always struggled with understanding people and situations, which causes a huge amount of anxiety. Listening to Kara I’ve learned so many tricks for managing my thoughts and have really reduced how much time I was fixating on how I might be perceived. It’s done wonders for my ability to grow professionally.

Amazing with a capital “A”
I wish I would have found this podcast years ago because it would have saved me so much time worrying about what other people think about me at work and in everyday life. In the first few episodes, Kara does an amazing job explaining how to change the way you perceive things by changing the way you think which in turn, changes the way you feel. So simple yet such an amazing insight into how to get out of your head and out of your own way! Thank you Kara 🙌. You really have become an important part of my daily routine, cheers 🥂

Pass
The topics are very wide. I wouldn’t recommend because I find more value in people who specialize in specific areas vs broad range advice. Example, some of these, like relationships, should maybe be more valuable from a therapist, not a lawyer. The same speaks on family and raises and photo confidence. It’s okay advice, but I find it takes 5 minutes into the episodes for the actual topic to even begin. By the end of half an hour, only two tips are given.

Life-changing
This podcast has positively impacted me so much. I think about these teachings on a daily basis. I am grateful for the ways in which it’s encouraged me to show up more fully in my life, both for myself and for the change I want to see in the world. Thank you!

Giant sales pitch
Too woke / extremely far left. The podcast is essentially just a sales pitch for her programs, which basically just teach you how to gaslight yourself.

Such great advice
As a mother, the Parent Blame Boomerang episode was so insightful. We never truly realize how many good and toxic traits have been passed down through generations. I have my own experiences that have changed who I am and how I parent, but after listening I will definitely think harder about how what I do and say can affect my daughter.

Social justice as a grift
Let’s call this what it is: privatizing social justice awareness for personal gain and calling it a revolution. Also, Kara’s association with the Life Coach School and Stacey Boehman are deeply troubling. Check Reddit if you want to learn more about why.

All the black girls are activists
I’ve been listening for years and I think I’ve left a review before but I’d like to say thank you for the episode with EbonyJanice. I haven’t read her book, but as a black woman I appreciate you giving her the platform here. A lot of it resonated with me. Thanks!

Good Info
Good stuff, but the host often talks over the guests and goes into her own promotional material.

My favorite podcast
I found this podcast almost two years ago now and it has improved so many areas of my life. Kara knows her stuff and has all kinds of guests on the show to go more in depth into all kinds of things women specifically go through in life. Highly recommend to ALL women!

Exactly what I needed
I just happen to find this podcast when searching for a particular topic on criticizing others. I will say the content was spot on and was exactly what I needed to hear. Moreover, the delivery and depth of knowledge in research helped to reinforce that the information is of good quality and that I can trust what was being conveyed. I will continue to listen to more episodes and look forward to it in the future.

Wisdom tidbits within an hour!
I’m learning so much about myself and my friends through this podcast. I’m focusing on changing how I share my “betterment and critical thinking” thoughts with others.

The best!
I’ve learned so much from listening to Kara’s podcast and I’m very grateful that I found it. Her no-nonsense, logistical, and extremely compassionate approach has resonated with my brain and allowed me to see opportunities to change myself for the better that I don’t think I could have otherwise seen. Thank you Kara!

It’s a five for me…
Kara is the best friend who is unaware of my actual existence, yet still finds a way to slap me when I need it & comfort me in a sometimes brash - yet oddly satisfying way. She’s guided me through a turmoilous divorce (no you won’t find that in Webster), & has never let me brush off the thoughts that I tend to excuse myself of having in order to avoid feelings of guilt. She’s a bit like the religion you decided you didn’t need after childhood, but then you occasionally sneak into Sunday mass when you’re having a bad day.. except Kara actually makes me feel better than a micro sip of wine & an offering plate full of hymns.

Life Enhancing Podcast!
Wow! I feel absolutely seen by Kara. This podcast gives you the opportunity to evaluate your life and the way you think. Just by listening I have reshaped how I think around certain topics and have bettered relationships because of it. 10/10 recommend!

Cool
I really appreciate the topics and the discussions. I REALLY dislike being called a chicken. It’s kind of demeaning and not very cool.
We’re your peers. It’s just kind of disrespectful. I’ll still listen but I’ll fully roll my eyes every time.
