Morgan mentioned a while back that the reason an episode is delayed sometimes is because she can’t think of a new theme. Just repeat a theme and call it “part two”. Who cares?

Let’s start with the name. There’s maybe 1 mild take that everyone agrees with. The only thing hot about this podcast is the absolutely dumpster fire that it is. Morgan is the privileged, egotistical little white girl that the only “trauma” she’s ever experienced is her bio dad leaving when she was born (like half of the country) except her step dad came in immediately. Her step dad is disgustingly sexual with Morgan and speaks about talking to her and her siblings about sex during childhood that almost sounds predatory. Morgan may be struggling with a sex addiction or hyper sexuality given how obsessed she is with sex, body fluids, the coconut story, and mentions going to strip clubs with her fiancé. Her fiancé (of 3-4 years at least), Justin, sounds bored out of his mind every time he opens his mouth but I can’t blame him for this as I’d consider some serious ways to disappear if I had to listen to Morgan every day. Morgan also can’t pronounce words past a kindergarten level despite being a “doctor” except she’s actually just a failed occupational therapist. Genuinely, I know toddlers with a better vocabulary and pronunciation skills than her, it’s pathetic. So if you want performative activism from two privileged white people that can’t form coherent thoughts then this is the podcast for you.

I was so disappointed with the first story. A man wrote in saying he was manipulating his teen daughter out of wearing heels because then she’d be taller than him. He said he was “terrified of tall women” (5’ 6”—his daughter’s height— isn’t even tall) because his family of brothers told him he was too short to be loved. He said he only loved her because he saw her grow up from a baby so her height wasn’t offensive to him. The whole thing is massively misogynistic: he was mercilessly bullied by men and now he has to label and control women in order to feel safe?! Morgan and Justin argued he wasn’t being abusive, he just needed more therapy. Which, maybe. But, manipulating your daughter to be shorter everyday so you feel better about yourself is heinous, misogynistic and abusive. He’s not just a hurt human, he’s abusing his power as a parent.

I started listening to this podcast a couple months ago after a friend recommended it and I have been enjoying it ever since. Morgan, Lauren, Alejandra and Justin make it so personable, I feel like I’m just chatting with friends. Definitely recommend this show if you haven’t heard it already!

I got into listen to THT cause of Smosh. My husband and I have been watching Shayne read Reddit stories, continuing hearing him say this is from Morgan from THT. With some of the stories really sparking my interest. So I went on apple podcasts and binge listen from the beginning. I love Morgan voice. She’s so amazing and seem like someone I would love to hang out with and listen to her talk about Reddit stories good thing she has this podcast! Thank you Morgan for being bored during 2020 and even more so Justin for being supportive for her to start the podcast.

Been listening for a couple years now and I must say Two Hot Takes is my favorite show in my weekly podcast rotation. This is the only show I must listen to as soon as a new episode drops. I start listening as soon as I wake up every Thursday! Can’t get enough.

I absolutley love this podcast. I didn't know about it until Joe Santagato was on and since then I am catching up on old and new episodes. I love Morgan and the guests she brings on and that she shares her life a little bit with us and not just stories 💙thank you for using your voice for the Hispanic community

Some of these bad reviews are crazy. Lauren is not a pick me. They literally never talk politics. Saying you talk about your life too much on your own podcast is such an entitled thing to say. Anyway love the show, but would love more people of color as guests. And less Justin episodes, sorry Justin.

I don't usually write reviews but this podcast has gotten me through a lot. Morgan, Lauren, and Justin are amazing. Morgan does a great job as a host and is always shaking things up. She gives us a small glimpse into her personal life as well and it just feels like FaceTiming with friends. I'm obsessed!

Ive never made a review for a podcast before but after seeing a few bad reviews recently I felt like I needed to balance it out. I love this podcast! I’ve listened to almost every episode it’s so entertaining as I drive to hear all the Reddit stories!

Gavin Adcock was a total left field to listen to. I appreciate holding down your morals and ethics on your platform and letting your audience know where you stand when most of the stories deal with, in one way or another, human rights. Having this dude on and the stories chosen for him were such a down play to the normal tone and level of the show it felt like once again a woman was being told to dumb themselves down for a dude. Morgan remember this is your show and not any one else’s- especially not any of these dudes

Do the hosts know any other phrases other than “it’s like” or “it’s giving”? They have the most lukewarm takes and go on tangents like an echo chamber barely getting through stories. There’s no reason each episode is 2 hours with only like 6-7 stories. These are not intelligent people and often go on woke tangents that are not at all interesting or groundbreaking. I used to enjoy this podcast somehow but it has seriously become insufferable in the last year especially.

Two Hot Takes used to be one of my favorite podcasts, but lately, most episodes have just really gotten on my nerves. At the start of each episode, I now fast forward, sometimes 10+ minutes, to get to the start of the first story. Also, I’m not sure why majority of the stories take 20+ minutes to discuss, some even lasting 30+ minutes, and a lot of that time is the hosts just going off on rants/tangents that aren’t really relevant to the Reddit story being discussed. I follow other podcasts that read and discuss Reddit stories, and they seem to understand that there is no real reason to spend more than 10ish minutes on each story, unless the story itself is long and takes a while to read. I think something that would be helpful to add to the show notes is the time stamps when each story begins. I think there was an episode or two where they did the bare minimum of this (12:30-Story 1, 38:20-Story 2 kind of thing), but it was still helpful. That way, those of us who don’t want to listen to 10 minutes of intro or 10+ minutes of irrelevant rants/tangents can fast forward to the pertinent time stamps. Also, the excessive commercial breaks and long, repetitive commercials really adds to the annoying aspect of this podcast. This isn’t an attack on Morgan and her guests - they seem like good people, it’s just that I wish the podcast was more focused on cutting out irrelevant banter and either shortening commercials or at least not having so many commercial breaks.

I used to love this show but unfortunately can’t get through an episode anymore. It has turned more into a talk show about the host/guests instead of Reddit stories. If that’s your thing, more power to you! I enjoyed the pre 2025 episodes more.

I’ve really enjoyed this podcast for the fun Reddit stories and the chemistry between the hosts, but lately it’s been harder to listen. Morgan tends to bring politics into episodes more frequently, and not everyone listening is super left or super right—we’re just here for the content. It’s frustrating when episodes shift from entertaining stories to heavy political commentary. You don’t have to support Trump or agree with past leadership, but constantly bashing the country turns some of us off. I think many listeners tune in to escape that kind of discourse, not hear more of it. I’d love to see the show get back to what made it great: wild stories, open-minded discussion, and less political bias.

Must the intros be 12 mins before you get into the story!!!!!!!!. After reading the story she goes off topic for SO LONG when she answers “aitah” I can’t even remember the story….

Leave your political views out of the show. I’m tired of hearing about the poor illegal immigrants in la. If they came here illegally they should be deported. What about all of the illegals who have kidnapped, tortured, and raped female/children? Did you cry for those victims too? Doubtful. You have conservative listeners too and you should know you’re going to lose them. Facts don’t care about your feelings.

I feel like this show is best when you give us lots of stories and limit personal banter and lately it’s been the opposite. Too much vulgarity from the guests for no reason. I also do not listen for your leftist political takes, which have been abundant lately. We get it, you don’t like Trump or conservatives. But lots of your audience is right of center, so you can stop with the lefty PSAs. I can tolerate it when it is part of your reaction to a story, but when it is just you pushing a certain narrative, it’s unnecessary.

I used to really enjoy this podcast and listening to the Reddit stories. However, lately it seems the host (and guests) have spent more time on personal anecdotes than the Reddit posts. There is so much unnecessary commentary and it's taking away from the podcast's premise. Not much time is spent discussing the reddit posts. Also, it seems like the host now rarely reads the comments from the posts which is a major disappointment. Honestly, if the host wants to spend the majority of the time talking about herself, then she should start a different podcast. Seriously she needs to stop talking about herself so much. This podcast has truly gone downhill over the past few months.

BEST episode i have listened to! He had me cracking up in middle of corporate office with my earphones on. Hope to hear him as a guest more, but in meantime started following him and listening. Morgan thanks for keeping up with that energy.

Recently this show has been more tangents than it has Reddit stories. The episode with Bob the Drag Queen was particularly annoying as they never gave opinions or takes about the stories and instead just went into rants about themselves. I don’t mind them here and there but the whole episode it’s annoying. Also I find it so annoying when Morgan has guest on and she has to tell them about Justin or that she owns horses. Like these people don’t know who you are or don’t know you are engaged. So they clearly didn’t prepare for the show at all. As a guest you typically prepare for a show by watching/ listening to its content. Like how do you find these people/ convince people to come in when they don’t know what the show is or who you are.

This guy is so annoying, I’m skipping the episode. He does not know how to podcast nor give opinions. He is very close minded and opinionated

I’ve loved this podcast since the beginning! It’s definitely my favorite one and I anticipate all episodes! Love Morgan and all the work she does for this podcast and Patreon! Get Drew and Deison Afualo back on you are all so funny together!

This podcast has allowed me to hear other perspectives I may have never have thought about. It also allows me to center myself when I think times are getting tough for me and especially after hearing some stories it’s reassuring that maybe what’s going on in my life is not as bad or dramatic cause I might think it is in the moment. I’ve been listening from very early on when there is barely any listeners, yet for whatever reason never came across it on YouTube or TikTok and recently I have been and I’m consistently amazed of what everyone looks like especially my favorites, which in a way everyone is a favorite because I picked them to look so different from what they sound like. But I love this podcast because I listen to it on all my deliveries for my customers since I work with vehicles and some of my deliveries are 2 1/2 hours each way so I especially appreciate the longer episodes recently. And may sound selfish, but I’d love even longer ones, but I understand the hustle with multiple podcast. As well as the intensity of trying to find so many stories for this one at least all of you keep up the hard work appreciate it.

I love Morgan, her podcast is amazing! But there are too many ads, literally 2 per story the hour and a half is more due to the 20 2 minute ads that are sprinkled throughout. Despite Morgan saying that she supports sustainability and ethical companies she voices commercials for Chat GBT and Betterhelp which are two companies that have shady business practices at best. My interest in this podcast has waned as I realize there’s some clear hypocrisy going on, will I catch up on a busy day? Yes. Will I support her financially myself through her Patreon? No.

This podcast has some really cool stories to dissect, but oh my gosh. For some reason, all the co-hosts / guests think it’s OK to interrupt the host while she’s reading the Reddit story. It makes it difficult for listeners to follow the whole point of the podcast. The host does the bare minimum to get the story back on track, but my goodness….I feel like I can’t follow the storyline bc of all the interruptions…READ THE STORY AND THEN COMMENT

This is one of the few podcasts that truly keeps my attention. Sure, you guys can ramble sometimes—but isn’t that part of the charm of a podcast? I know there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into producing these episodes, and I’m really grateful to have such an easygoing yet entertaining background companion during boring drives. I love this podcast, I’ve only been listening since January but I’ve bingee all the tht episodes and a, listing to clues and am currently bingeing fks. i love Morgan’s voice and most of the guest hosts are really fun (Gabby was insufferable though) and all of the regulars, Lauren and Justin are great! And I LOVE CHRIS CLEMENS, PLEASE HAVE HIM ON AGAIN! Every episode he’s on is so funny and entertaining! I love the story’s, the hosts and guests, just everything. The only thing is that recently I feel like some of the takes aren’t very hot anymore, they’re more focused on being politically correct and to not offend ANY one, please do more story’s with gray area like you used too, and give true hot takes, not just what people want to hear.

Morgan somehow makes every story about herself. Then she’ll just randomly cry during stories. The episodes will have more rambling on about nothing than the actual stories. They take a long time discussing the stories and just talk in circles, repeating the same things Can barely pronounce basic words despite English being her first and only language The takes aren’t even hot anymore. Should be called Two Lukewarm takes. Morgan has a weird obsession with bodily fluids, she loves discussing them and constantly tells this gross coconut story. Every new person gets the coconut story, it gets repeated multiple times on Patreon. Enough!! It’s a gross, unfunny story. Nobody finds it entertaining Patreon episodes would come at the very end of the month or episodes for the previous month would be in the new month. When people would complain she told people to cancel and come back at the end of the month She’s starting to act like a pick me, not like other girls. Needs to constantly mention that she’s an OT, how she and her fiancé go to strip clubs together and it’s bad if you won’t let your partner go to one. Has had truly just horrible takes in general I hate Justin as a co-host. He always sounds so bored and disinterested like he doesn’t want to be there. He has no enthusiasm about anything. Just a “oh yeah cool” regarding everything. Besides music I don’t know what he’s even into, he’s so boring Her and her family feel weirdly close. She mentions enmeshment a lot and how bad it is when her and her family are the definition. Her mom discusses sex toys and sex to an uncomfortable level with her and her brothers, mentioned that her and her mom will tease male family members regarding their sex lives, her dad (who’s not her bio dad yet he and her mom never actually dated, but he stuck around for whatever reason. Mentioned one time that her older brother wanted nothing to do with him as a kid. No duh, you’re some random guy who never dated his mother and now is trying to act like a father to him and his sister. Did that with another woman he actually did date) talks about his sex life openly in front of her. Then he was being supported by her before the podcast started

And super thoughtful and entertaining content.

This is a fun podcast and USUALLY has good takes. There’s been some MAJORLY problematic/ even dangerous faux pas but I forgave them all because we’re all human. If you’re not into horror/ abuse jokes skip ALL Halloween / October episodes (even the “lite” ones) Justin always comes in with the most problematic male pro men can do whatever they want with strippers / porn and women can’t have opinions or boundaries about it perspectives I’ve ever heard but the guest hosts are usually FIRE. But now the podcast is sponsored by AI. Thats a moral line I personally can’t get behind (but if you can— I still think Morgan is a good people).

Updating my review to say the following: I just read through some of the reviews and it just utterly annoyed me. Stay gold Pony Boy and never change!!! I love to listening to OTHER people’s drama when it doesn’t involve me! I listen to these while I work And I love your hot takes on most situations I agree with almost all of them! I feel like I know all of you now with all your side stories. The one recommendation I have to make this podcast better is to CHANGE NOTHING! you all apologize sometimes for going on your tangents but they are my favorite parts! I have completed every episode in a few days and I Can’t wait for more!

I was a big fan of this podcast in the early episodes & loved listening but the “hot takes” just feel like Morgan & her guest making excuses for bad behavior & dunking on people who don’t deserve it. Listen to The Judgies instead; shockingly, they’re actually less judgmental than Morgan.

I discovered this show because Annie Elise recommended Clues on her podcast. I listened to all 3 episodes of Clues and immediately looked up Morgan’s other podcasts, so here I am! I’ve now been listening to Two Hot Takes for 3 days nonstop and, needless to say, I love it. Morgan picks great posts to talk about, doesn’t have the judgey meanness of some of the other reaction podcasts/YTers I’ve given up on, and genuinely has a great sense of humor. 5 stars from a new fan!

This show has always been a background podcast for me, but the problematic guests (and host) and the fact that she supports AI is so disappointing.

I like to listen, but not only have you read that story a million times you can’t stop bringing it up, I’m on episode 209 and you have a synopsis again! It’s not that great of a story to hear once let alone over and over! Please for the love of god, STOP

Stop putting insufferable men on this podcast. It’s not just that they have bad takes, but act like if anyone disagrees with them they are idiots. Stop giving insufferable, egotistical men microphones. Get rid of Justin and Matt and find better more interesting men to have conversations with.

I absolutely love having this on in the background on the weekends, when I’m cleaning or cooking or just don’t want to pay attention to a T.V. I don’t understand why people are so upset that she and her guests talk about anything other than the story. It would be so boring to just listen to someone read a story and then move on. Just go read Reddit on your own time then. What’s fun is hearing how other people relate and what they think about a situation…it’s kinda the whole point. Anyways, love this podcast. Keep doing what you’re doing!

It’s called two HOT takes for a reason!!! I feel like reading some of these reviews, they are missing the whole title. Morgan and her guests give their honest takes, and I love coming back each week to be thrown on a rollercoaster for these crazy stories. I appreciate the wide variety of stories Morgan brings, as well as the different guests she has! I tune into this podcast weekly for pure entertainment, and Morgan you provide exactly that! I may not agree with every take, and THATS OKAY. But I love hearing different perspectives and having a good laugh. Morgan, don’t stop what you’re doing! You have a big fan right here! Keep it up girl.

I had to keep skipping 30 seconds until I got to the actual stories. Maybe episode 213 is an outlier, but tighten up those 8 minutes of chat unrelated to what the show is billing itself as (Reddit stories)

I literally only listen to this, Smosh reddit and Morbid podcast, I just love how wholesome Morgan and hosts takes are, I love that they also admit if they’ve had a wrong take, and its just fun to listen to other peoples perspectives. I hope you continue to grow Morgan and keep rising I just love seeing you succeed in such a down to Earth and kind way.
