It’s a good group of dudes talking soccer. I mostly care about MLS and USMNT and I listen to those dedicated episodes.

Great chemistry, informative and fun, and these folks have a super wide range of knowledge. Also, the one star reviews for this podcast all say the funniest, dumbest things. Don’t be a dummy. Give it a five star review like the smart kid you are

One of my favorite soccer podcasts

One of my favorite podcasts ever. I’ve been listening since 2018/19 and it’s consistently in my rotation. Informative, entertaining, and comprehensive in its coverage of the sport.

Long time listener, first time reviewer. Great analysis mixed with good chemistry and light hearted banter. Great show where the guys never take themselves too seriously.

A truly amazing podcast, which talks about the most interesting topics and important results, while maintaining its comical aspects. An incredible listen!

I’ve been listening to the show for over 8 years now. It used to be my favorite podcast, but lost something after Daryl Grove passed and I had to take a break myself for a while. As a Newcastle supporter, it became harder for me to continue listening when EVERYTHING became about sportswashing and how much they dislike the Saudi ownership to the point of them being unable to recognize any accomplishment of the club. After all the Mike Ashley years, I love seeing a team and club that actually tries, and all I hear is a bunch of sour grapes from the members of the podcast.

I stopped subscribing after about a year. This podcast is heavily slanted towards the MLS and the US National Teams. If you want to hear about bad soccer this is the podcast for you.

What a fun project! And enjoy the banter and the different approaches to building a team. We’re not as deep as we think is the feeling I’ve left with. I made sure I was not going to be distracted so I could focus and I was not disappointed.

Really enjoy the banter between the team and the running jokes are great but the ads are long and plentiful

I’ve been on the hunt for a few good soccer shows and this is one of the better ones I’ve found due to the energy they bring. Only reason this isn’t 5 stars is there’s way too many ads. 4-5 minutes of ads to kick it off is excessive. I understand the need for ads, but they’ve become a bit overkill.

Been listening for close to 10 years now, and the lads continue to be entertaining and knowledgeable, with just the right amount of banter. Their tactical breakdowns are really helpful, and overall coverage and knowledge of USMNT and MLS matters is exceptional. If there is a major tournament happening, this is the place to be as well. Pretty good with the EPL, but don’t expect much of anything if you’re a fan of anyone outside the traditional big 4-6.

I fast forward through five minutes of ads in the beginning now!

Easily the podcast I spend the most hours listening to. Not just the one of the most informative but one of the most entertaining too.

I really enjoy hearing these folks talking about the beautiful game- great for news, analysis, tactics, and occasional hot takes from fun and relatable personalities. A couple friendly suggestions: I know others care about MLS. I don’t, but that’s fine. Maybe consider devoting a segment to lower league soccer in the US and elsewhere. It wouldn’t need to be every week… maybe monthly. I know that the hosts support teams that are not 1st division. You could have a lot of fun spotlighting stories that happen outside the top tiers. I know that’s not the overall focus, but occasionally covering local teams and local support might help listeners connect with teams in their own backyard. Oh, and my other suggestion- set a time limit for discussions about Man U. Or maybe take the lengthy Man U discussions to a different pod or the Patreon?

Good podcast. They cover many tactics across the MLS and EPL. The only criticism I have is that it sometimes lacks a “hook” or good engagement in the beginning, but later finds its way into the setup for an interesting and entertaining episode. Go FCC and Arsenal!

I love the podcast it is just annoying that the ads are 10% of the podcast.also the little political remarks are annoying and they aren’t necessary for the podcast. If you cut the ads and made it only football related you would have a perfect podcast.

This podcast brings joy and insight to the beautiful game.

They do a great job covering the massive extensive world of soccer. Sooooo happy they started the other 14 coverage special. There are so many pods saying the same thing about Manchester city and Arsenal. Who needs that? Covering the other teams is so nice and they do a great job.

While I understand the need for advertising dollars, having 4 minutes of them BEFORE the episode starts is excessive.

how do you talk so much about the Leagues Cup Tournament and attendance without mentioning and going into the boycott due to the treatment of the Open Cup?

I really appreciate the breadth of perspectives given by TSS along with their much more thorough tactical analysis than is given in the typical American soccer shows that go exclusively for personalities and soccer bros rather giving any sort of intelligent commentary.

I was disappointed in the response to the question about Emma Hayes on the 10 April 2024 episode. You defended the actions of a bully through your prevarication in your responses. Emma Hayes not only pushed/shoved Eidevall, she also attempted to impugn his character with the label of “male agression”. She also refused to apologize. If Eidevall had done the same to Hayes he would rightly be fired for such a reprehensible act. As to whether this would affect the USWNT, maybe not. But what it will affect is the fans. I do not want to cheer on bullies - wherever they may be. You can cheer her on with the USWNT, but I should expect you to condemn future behaviour when it inevitably happens in the future. You should be better and much less equivocal in your responses. I am disappointed.

What happened to USWNT coverage?

If you want to know about soccer and what is happening in both the United States and Europe, then you definitely want to listen to the Total Soccer Show. It’s hosts are great and give you the feel of having a discussion with friends about the weekend’s games then this is a podcast for you. I had not followed soccer for a while and TSS helped me get back into the sport. On top of that, TSS is just a fun show.

Great podcast, love the topics they cover. Not the biggest deal, but feels like Taylor Rockwell tries to joke in every other sentence, and he’s not that funny… lol maybe it’s me, but it’s over done.

A great community and podcast. Excellent discussions on the EPL, other top 4 leagues, Champions League, international football, USMNT, USWNT, MLS and NWSL. Topics will vary depending on what’s happening that week.

In addition to hosting this delightful show, Taylor has another lesser known talent. He makes excellent breakfast burritos. Thank you for the delicious treats, Taylor. We’re grateful for the Rockwell family’s friendship and I couldn’t give a higher recommendation for the show (or the burritos). 5 stars all around. P.S. Go Saka!

Ryan, Joe, Taylor and Graham are all extremely funny and also very smart when it comes to analyzing soccer. Love their banter and this is a great podcast.

A thoughtful and analytical podcast, The Total Soccer Show brings four sharp perspectives to the table - and the program's easygoing cast makes you feel like you're at the table with them. TTSS offers solid analysis of leagues, teams, and players throughout Europe and the U.S. Their coverage includes breakdowns of their game of the week, the USMNT, and their customized Wikipedia game. But their coverage includes much, much more. What is special about this podcast is that you don't need to know these guys nor hail from Richmond to enjoy the show. Indeed, discovering this program, after searching for a quality soccer program, has been a pleasure. The TTSS model is one that I wish more shows would follow: knowledgeable cast, contrasting opinions, and thoughtful response. The Total Soccer Show is the only soccer podcast that I listen to regularly and in my humble opinion no other soccer show measures up to it.

Don’t get into politics. You’ve lost a subscriber as your worldview outside of soccer isn’t desired by many. Knock it off.

I started listening in November and this is a very entertaining podcast that covers soccer in the US and abroad. Ryan, Joe, Taylor, and Graham are so funny and Gauss for the MLS review episodes has also been great! Love it, this is my favorite soccer podcast out there!!

I was looking for a good soccer podcast that updates me on what is going on. I think that this podcast does that for me, I like listening to these guys every time that a new podcast comes out. When people ask me for a good soccer podcast to fill them in on what is going on I tell them about this one and they thank me for introducing them to this one. Love this podcast so much!!

Unsubscribed because opening MGM ad is short but the call 800-xxx in this state or that state us way longer than the actual commercial. Statistically you will lose more than you ever win. Not a moralist but gambling ruins lives so I use my right to free speech by saying I won’t support or listen to a pod which takes gambling house money. Over and out.

Love this pod! They have some of the best US National Team coverage out there. When focusing on club sides they are one of the only groups that find a perfect balance between European competitions as well as MLS, each getting an equal amount of passionate discussion and serious consideration. Also these guys are just fun to listen to!

I like hearing the American perspective of European football. The MLS talk is mildly interesting if for no other reason than it’s amusing to hear people so passionate about a subpar league. I absolutely hate the term “piece” for players. It drives me insane and I have to get over it, but I won’t.

Been listening since after the 2020 euros and have really enjoyed the analysis and banter. Would recommend if you’re looking for another podcast to listen to beyond the soccer talk this group has a great dynamic as well making it the first podcast I listen to when checking my feed.

Come on guys!! I dig this podcast but they barley acknowledged the passing of Pele, let alone a tribute. Seriously, show some respect.
