This show used to be good and now it’s awful. They are out of touch mean girls. I’ve listened for 3 years and I’m moving on to the Giggly squad and Girls Gotta Eat. Don’t waste your time with this podcast. Also, they give mean girl vibes all the way.

This pod is literally brainrot

I used to be a dedicated daily listener. Started around 2020. Lately the show has become Dull and boring and feels more like filler banter and ads. The banter used to be fun and like I was laughing with my girlfriend, but at this point it is just not keeping my interest. I can go days without listening now and don’t feel like I’m missing much, whereas if I missed listening for one day, I was catching up the next morning prior to that days episode release. The fast 5 stories are always identical to Liz Woods ig stories, and I prefer to read her well thought out takes, rather than the girls just reading snipers of an article and sharing misinformed thoughts. It just doesn’t feel fun anymore.

Listened to this podcast for the first time- honestly couldn’t get more than 20 minutes in. Their voices and the way they talk are SO annoying. Literally just can’t.

I was a huge fan of The Toast for years, which makes this incredibly disappointing to write. Over the past two years the podcast has steadily declined, and in the last several months it has become almost unbearable to listen to. What was once a fun, light pop culture podcast now feels lazy, uninformed, and increasingly out of touch. The constant factual errors, mispronunciations, and clear lack of basic pop culture knowledge are honestly shocking for hosts whose entire job is to discuss entertainment and current events. What’s most frustrating is the complete disregard for listener feedback. After speaking so openly about how devastating their cancellation was years ago, you would think there would be some level of self-awareness or willingness to grow. Instead, it seems like they’ve doubled down and surrounded themselves with an echo chamber. I’ve now unsubscribed from Patreon and unfollowed on Apple Podcasts. Longtime listeners deserved better than the direction this show has taken.

People have tried to get me to listen to this for YEARS and I’ve resisted and wow I’ve been missing out. The girlies are hilarious. To the haters in the comments, I don’t care what these girls think politically, I get my politics elsewhere! This is literally a pop culture show? Also, they are FAR far FAR from MAGA so pipe down. Claudia is the reason I wanna continue listening. She is funny and brings a lot to the show. I feel the fast 5 stories that Jackie pics aren’t great. Kinda like last min after thoughts but Claudia helps keep them interesting still. I wish they picked better pop culture stories and also didn’t use one of their Netflix show promos as a story and used that more as an ad instead.

This is the podcast I need to laugh, stay up to date on pop culture so I seem cool in the office, and just brighten and calm my mornings. I love how unapologetically themselves they are (also love that they are open about being Jewish) 10/10. I actually laugh out loud and find myself saying “Claudia said this today…”

This podcast has become unbearable to listen to. Constantly negative and uninformed takes, poor choice of discussion topics, clearly no effort or research goes into the “stories” they choose to talk about. And the way they talk to and about their listeners who disagree with them in any reasonable way…YIKES!

This pod used to be great. Ever since the girls moved to Florida they’ve become miserable shells of what they once were. It’s truly sad to see. They never have anything nice to say and 90% of their content is incorrect, so it’s hard to listen boldly incorrect women who hate everything. I truly wish they would listen to themselves and see how miserable they’ve become. They clearly hate pop culture so I’m not sure why they continue to pop out like warm content. Sad to see!

Claudia’s singing is insufferable

They make me lol on a regular basis which is difficult to do and bring so much positive energy into my day!! The haters need to calm down respectfully

I couldn’t sleep so I found this podcast and was excited to listen because the content on several episodes looked totally up my alley. Painful…just plain painful to listen to them from voice to speaking style to word choices. My head hurts.

I look forward to my daily listen! Love the little catch up on your daily lives and then your take on the fast five! Everything is light and even dark topics don’t feel heavy. I truly enjoy how authentic they both are!

Just recently discovered the toast a few months ago and I’m obsessed. It’s so refreshing to listen to a podcast that the hosts don’t feel the need to over explain and appease every single persons views. They state their opinions unapologetically, but never hesitate to change or correct them when new information is brought up. They don’t care what anyone thinks about them, which is usually an excuse used by people to hate on everything, but they don’t. Never change girls.

I used to enjoy their banter, now I can’t even tolerate more than 5 minutes.

Turned off as soon as they started talking about their Hermes bags. Sorry but between this and all the ads your show has become insufferable.

I’m a former patreon subscriber and hardcore listener. Now I’m worried about how I came off to everyone (a lot of ppl) I recommended this pod to. I sung high praises & loved hearing about your LIVES, culture, sisters and just pop news in general. I knew early on that we didn’t align on everything but that’s not why I showed up. I didn’t love how Claudia said some people are lazy or “what do millennials have to complain about” - believe it or not some of us have had huge losses and tough lives made harder by our society and American economics. However, things have taken a HUGE turn for the WORSE. Big time. We can’t pretend anymore to not hear the micro and macro aggressions towards certain groups you don’t align with (skin tone and politics included). I’m upset and leaving. Before anyone says like in other comments that we are all complaining because we are “far left” we aren’t. I’ve voted both ways. But life forces us normal people to take accountability and make hard decisions that aren’t always a direct benefit to us. How can you speak on what Jill Z said and back her. In the words of a favorite movies of mine “How can you pretend that the only people who are people, are the people who look and think like you”. It’s a wrap.

This was unbelievably disappointing.

I’ve supported them for a long time, but recently I’ve really taken a step back and reflected. I’ve come to the realization that their behavior and comments don’t align with my values, and I can’t ignore that anymore. As a Latina, Claudia, I find the “tostadas” community references especially disappointing. It feels performative and self serving rather than genuinely supportive. If you don’t truly stand with us, please stop using our community for personal gain. I won’t be listening to or supporting them anymore.

I don’t need to know how everyone voted. But when pop culture stories are covered- cover the whole story- or pick another one. Blake Lively v Justin and choosing view point vrs the actual court case, the Jill “no white people” and leaving that out. You’re loosing me because you’re not truly covering the stories. And if you’re too scared to talk about something- don’t choose that story rather than gaslight your audience

I have always read their backlash of how extremely Racist they once were in the past, from their tweets to Claudia’s letter to her housekeeper, even all the drama involved with their mom. I gave them a chance because people change & after they said their take on Jill’s racism, I knew they haven’t. One less listener! I hope yall never call yourself a tostada again.

Really heartbroken to uncover the MAGA mindset of Jackie and Claudia. It had been a podcast I was a HUGE fan of for years but I can’t look past these views and continue to support this podcast.

I was really upset and saddened to hear your thoughts on Jill Zarin being fired. In the epsiode you said it was an overreaction without even saying specifically what Jill had said in her TikTok (hmmm wonder why that was) and making it seem like she just isn’t a fan of Bad Bunny’s music. Of course it’s fine not to like something - nobody is claiming otherwise 🙄. It’s disingenuous commentary and frankly I would love to hear an retraction and apology from y’all. Do the right thing and make a Kiddush Hashem.

The show sucks now and is full of hate

I don’t think the show should dive into politics, but they bring it up when it aligns with their personal views. Either discuss politics across the board or avoid them altogether. If they’re going to cover these topics, they need to handle them more thoughtfully. Otherwise, they should take their own advice, if it’s “shut up and sing,” then maybe it’s “shut up and stick to pop culture.”

These two continue to disappoint me. They have extreme undertones of MAGA and for a group of ladies who have been cancelled before for being racist. Defending Jill Zarin & the comments about Trevor Noah don’t sit well with me. Lazy rich girls

The show used to be a fun escape. I was a daily listener for years, but had to recently unfollow the show and Instagram accounts. Jackie and Claudia have gotten so critical and toxic. I’d rather you not discuss politics at all, honestly. Supporting Jill Zarin’s racism was the last straw for me. When unjust negativity about Jewish people dominated the news, Jackie and Claudia were rightly upset. Your listeners supported you. It would be nice if you in turn supported other people. Or at least didn’t spew hatred.

I can no longer support this podcast. The blatant racism expressed in a recent episode was shocking and disturbing. Rather than calling out the offensive commentary, the hosts chose to defend Jill Zarin’s comments about the Super Bowl. Jill claimed the halftime performance was inappropriate because there were no white people in the performance. Aligning yourself with the rhetoric is dangerous and disturbing.
