Adam Tangents Need More Discretion
I have listened to this podcast for years now. I have appreciated the content that Jon and Adam have brought to the golf world and I’ve benefited tremendously from their insights. Lately however, I have become slightly annoyed by Adam’s tangents - and as someone who checks himself on this same point - most of the time, Adam starts a sentence by saying “I” or “for me” or some other form of talking about himself. I’m not saying there is no room for that it’s just everything comes back to discussing how HE sees things or how the topic applies to him. Also, generally speaking sometimes the rabbit trails are unhelpful because they missing the big E on the eye chart for the topic at hand. Again, I also struggle with these things myself and no one is perfect, it just a detracts sometimes to the point that I decide to switch to another podcast.

Wealth of Information
Adam and John have put together an amazing amount of relevant content on all things golf. In addition to some great swing fundamentals, on all shots, they have solid advice on how to structure practices, tournament play, you name it. They dispel all of the common myths and provide realistic expectations for what you should be able to accomplish. I highly recommend this podcast!

I listened the entire time. I’ve read Short game bible, James Sieckmann short game book and Adam’s book and listen to John’s book online, I’m 64 and have a 11 handicap. Up from a 5 , 10 years ago after back surgery and Rotator cuff repair. I’ll get back down there but just enjoy the game. I started late 23 y/o. Thanks for your knowledge and podcast.

New to listening but new faithful follower
I just discovered this podcast yesterday. I have been away from Golf for 3 years due to financial and menacing shoulder injury that is all done now. Played a lot before I took The break so hearing all If your tips and ideas. And just both of you guys talk old stories with the game promoting me to binge 6 hours worth of content while I’m at the office is great. Can’t wait to stream the entire series in the next few months.

Good stuff here
I don’t typically listen to podcasts that are more than about 45 minutes, but I do listen to this one. The information is priceless. It will help you with your game.

Amazing game improvement knowledge
These two guys are great! So much in depth knowledge to nerd out on. I appreciate the insights Jon and Adam provide. I am one of their few female listeners and I tell all of the ladies in my leagues to listen to them. So many game improvement tips: ways to approach practice, course management, mental game, health and fitness - they cover it all. Thank you for a great podcast. Keep up the great work, gents!

Saved my game.
I was a head case. I had a nasty hook off the tee. Coach YouTube with conflicting tips only made my technical/internal focus worse for my game. John and Adam were the perfect tag-team to help. John re-difined how to play the game on-course. Adam re-defined how to practice and swing. I will forever be a golf disciple of these two.

The center of the golf universe!
Great podcast helping golfers with the modern day approach to the mental and physical game of golf. Adam is outstanding at detailing ways to approach hitting a golf ball, that help you visualize what he means. John excels in describing situations that we have all found ourselves in, and offering common sense methods to navigate beyond them. Kudos to these gentlemen for helping us all progress in golf and in life.

Golf Myth Busters
I like the fact that when they express their ideas and opinions, they clearly state what they are based upon. Either experience, anecdotal research or scientific research. Some old ideas are busted, some confirmed. The perspective and biases of the hosts make for great interviews. And, they have enough respect in the industry to get great guests. I look forward to each new podcast.

Better Happier Stronger Golf
Thank you for all the episodes, especially the Chi episode with Ms Story. Grateful y’all have the guts to push into areas that hold great power for self improvement on and off the course, but some old schoolers might try to make fun of you for. Jokes on them when you use this stuff to take their money!

How to practice, not what to practice
Both Jon and Adam are great at going over the “how to practice” not what to practice. Want to get better faster? Take their suggestions on how to identify what you need to work on, and take their suggestions on how to improve those skills. They’re big believers in building skills, which is an excellent way to approach this terribly complex game. Also, a quick plug for both of their books. I’ve got both and love them dearly. Super detailed, and same basic themes as this podcast: how to identify what to practice and how to practice building those skills.

Great show - however
hi Fellas, I absolutely love your podcast. It’s he;[ed me dive deeper into course management and happily into the physics of equipment and ball flights etc etc. I particularly love the podcast relating to pressure and performance. I am a professional musician and have had the “fortune” of having to deal with the pressure of performing at a high level infant of thousands of people at a time. My question is this: I started golf at 9 years old. I’m an athletic guy and have a good swing. I’m an 8 handicap and have been for quite some time. I can carry a ball with a driver between 245-260 so I have plenty of distance to enjoy. I am also a good iron player and as well a very good putter. I have a multitude of short game tools to choose from that lead to a decent average of “one putts”. UNTIL….. I have to deal with anything between 30 and 60 yards. I avoid those distances like crazy - your episode regarding the yips neglected to mention the dreaded 30-60 yard ranges. If you would ever like this, I would love to talk to you more about how I’ve dealt with performance anxiety, since I’ve played on some very big stages, and with some very big well-known acts and bands. Thank you for working and presenting such a great podcast

My favorite podcast
Thank you Jon and Adam. Your approach to all aspects of the game and your desire to learn and then pass on that knowledge is fantastic! Keep up the great work. You’ve help lower my scores!! I’m breaking 80 now and when I started I was excited to break 100.

New favorite golf podcast
Adam and Jon have a great combination of experience with golf improvement, and have a ton of work on their own that is excellent (I recommend their books and Adam’s Impact Plan. I especially like their perspective on what it’s like to wade through the modern era of golf videos and instruction online. They have such a practical approach compared to the default behavior of watching 100 videos on the golf swing than likely isn’t improving anyone’s game.

Thoughtful and minute for minute the best golf improvement podcast
I've been a listener since the beginning. Each episode is an evergreen golf improvement nugget that golfers of every level will find thought provoking. Offers some good advice that can be used in other parts of non-golf life.

Best podcast to learn how to play
Adam and Jon are great. This podcast is full of information that is useable when practicing and learning how to play golf. The advice isn’t overly technical and gives drills that can be used on the range and strategies that can be used on the course. I can credit The Sweet Spot for helping me get from the 20s into the single digits HCP in about one year. Thank you for putting this together guys!

The best golf improvement podcast there is
This podcast has separated my golfing life into two distinct eras - Before Sweet Spot (B.S.S) and After Sweet Spot (ok let’s quickly move past the misfortune of that acronym). The sheer amount of golfing knowledge I have crammed into my brain from this podcast is stunning. The approach strategy episode fundamentally changed the way I play golf (and lowered my scores overnight), the discussions of impact laws changed what I care about in my swing (and my goodness it is a relief to stop obsessing over swing path), the managing expectations series changed my definition of good shots and bad shots, and it should be illegal to go into a club fitting without listening to the Equipment Education series. If you love golf and care about improving, this podcast is an absolute must-listen. Thank you Adam and Jon.

Really love this podcast! It always has great information and gets me thinking about so much more aspects of golf and honestly makes me a better golfer! Tour tempo works
Love this show and I’ve got John’s book as well. Listened to the tempo episode and was coincidentally struggling with my swing. Decided to buy the tour tempo app and between that and one address correction I’m hitting it very flush at the moment. Very happy with my purchase and it was John’s endorsement that won me over. Thanks for the honest recommendation!! Keep the great content coming!!

Too much stuff
The word “stuff” is used way too much when there is an actual word that could be used. Just listen! Other than that Jon and Adam are well spoken. Also, it is mentioned a golfer should be able to drive a ball at least 260 to be able to reach scratch. What about women? We listen to this pod too and we are left out. Anyway, the “stuff” ( I mean information) 😀 from this pod does have real value, picking out what applies to your own game.

Worth its quantity of bits in gold
Jon is a thoughtful and generous expert amateur golfer. Adam is a golfing thought leader and in my opinion is one of the great teachers in the game. His ground breaking approach to the game is the answer that so many golfers have been looking for. If you are passionate about golf and desire to shoot lower scores, this podcast is worth a listen and sometimes a re-listen. Highly recommend.

Game changer
I found this podcast less than a month ago and I’ve caught up, all the way until Feb of 2022. Big fan, bought the books, I’m still in my first 24 months of golf and playing a wild 19 handicap!

Sweet Spot Golf Podcadt
I’d rate this one of the better, if not the best golf podcast out there. A good mix of topics, but focused on exploring areas of the game where those looking to improve are interested. The recent episode on grip was excellent. I also recommend the two part series on driver improvement, and the episode on shot selection. John and Adam are terrific and easy to listen to. I look forward to every new episode.

Well done, however…
I really enjoy your podcast, and have really enjoyed your guests. You ask them good questions and don’t talk over them which never works in this format. I will say, however, there are two things that I’ve noticed: your visceral avoidance of getting involved with any topic that might have controversy is a bit curios. Say what you want, when you want, and how you want it. Making your way through this world trying not to offend people is futile. Just be you. The second thing is when you have guests, there is too much time talking about what you do and how you do things (John) and bringing the topic back to you. Constantly. I mostly cherry pick the episodes where you have guests and I want to hear what they have to say how it pertains to the general golfing population, no offense John, but I’m not really interested to hear about your bunker play or your angle of attack on chips when you have an expert in house. It shouldn’t be, and isn’t always about you. It’s actually getting a bit frustrating.

It’s all about Intent
Having read Adam’s Practice Manual, I decided to give the Podcast a listen. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see how much game improvement can be garnered from concepts such as practice habits, strategic thinking, and mindfulness. Both Jon & Adam have become valued resources. If there’s one underlying commonality to what they and their guests bring to the table, it’s that INTENT is a powerful learning principal.

From hack to scratch
This is an excellent podcast for all players, from hack to scratch. The “managing expectations” part is especially good for those higher handicap hack players, but there are many excellent and technical shows that give good advice for lower handicap players to approach the scratch mark. Love the different approaches both John and Adam bring to the table! And Adam, I never knew that stableford was largely unknown form of scoring in the US! Helpful since I now live here. Great job gents! Keep it up!
