5 minutes into it and The Robocop episode is my all time favorite because I never get tired of hearing Simmons pronounce robots as “robutts”.

A bloody great time
Been listening for years and waiting to write something, it’s fun, categories are great, makes you want to go back and see/live the time. Great show

Bill is the GOAT
Ok but the mention of Daniel Day-Lewis in the Brokeback Mountain episode…when DDL made My Beautiful Laundrette two decades before….

Brokeback Broke This Pod
At this point, you’re just having fun pissing (former) fans off. Shut this pod down now. You’re done.

Too many in-jokes — like all the categories that are not explained. I’m sure if you’ve been with the program forever, that might feel rewarding, but as a newbie, it makes me feel like I’m not invited to the party. An editor would help a lot too. I don’t mind something being long if it’s fascinating, but there’s a lot of fat in these episodes.

Stop forcing Van on us
Everyone complains about Van but they keep bringing him on, clearly for racial pandering reasons. It’s a shame, potentially great episodes are an instant skip because of this demo pandering obligation Bill feels.

Not Rewatchables
Might want to rethink what is actually “rewatchable”. This show only talks about maybe 3-4 ACTUAL rewatchable movies in a year. Stop being so pretentious.

Why does True Romance come up repeatedly when referencing Michael Madsen’s performances?? He wasn’t in that film. Also, I feel like you can practically reach out and touch the animosity between Van and Bill/Chris at times. Yikes. Ok that’s all.

Bill, van and Chris are such a great trio best mix add Sean and it’s the dream team

Good, could be very good
Stop the screaming impressions followed by the ridiculous laughter. Bill screaming that he had coffee with Macaulay half an hour ago is not funny at all and his laughter that follows is embarrassing. I love the move Heat and I can’t stand when he does that so I can’t imagine who it’s for. The “would this movie be better with” needs to go away completely. It has more than run its course and is stupid at this point. Depending on who is on the show, I may listen even if I haven’t seen the movie. If Van or Kyle are on I will listen no matter what movie they are doing, although if they are on I probably saw the movie. Other than that, more Sean, less Chris, no Amanda.

Love the show guys, but Michael Madsen isn't in True Romance.

Excellent Pidcast
Great reviews. Do not mind the reviews of movies that I have never watched. Love The Rewatchables! More Doris Burke

Horrible movie choices
I genuinely like this pod - but I’ve got to say, the movie choices are pretty back 70% of the time.

Steve Martin’s role in “It’s Complicated”
I love Steve Martin, but agree with the pod comments that he wasn’t quite right for “the architect” role. I would suggest Jeff Goldblum (for a little shot of weirdness) or Stanley Tucci (for hotness.) Though Meryl already worked with Tucci a lot— that might be overdoing it.

Why?
What good does it do to provide feedback? The people tell you over and over about Amanda, but nobody listens. While I personally think she is good at times(E.T.)….what on Earth possessed you to include Mina Kimes? You cannot just replicate the success of Kyle Brandt with the same formula. Kyle is brilliant and knows the subject matter well. Please stop these silly forays into…whatever that was. Get back to good films…a ton of meat left on the bone.

A Rewatchable Podcast
This podcast is so good if your a movie buff and hilarious!

The cringer
If you need a list of decent movies to rewatch, let me know. Your picks stink as bad as your take of the 1971 World Series. More Van, less of literally everyone else.

Van
Van is very excellent! I love when he’s on the episodes. My fav eps with him and Bill is The Bodyguard and Boomerang.
Kstyles
Why am I still listening to this?
What recommends Bill Simmons as a film commentator?!
Bunny Cub
Hit or miss
Nobody is as funny as Chris Ryan thinks he is. His screaming and joke-repeating nearly ruin episodes. If you can get past that his can b fun and engaging. Some movie choices are odd.

Love this pod…a few requests
Hi there! Just wanted to drop in and tell you that this is my favorite podcast
NLP2005
So great
I just love this show, for people who grew up in the 80’s it’s perfect, but it’s amazing for everyone else as well. I love this crew to the moon and back.

1 for them 300 for me
Who thinks these movies are the best possible choices for interesting pods? Poor performance recently, these movies do not interest the general public.
Chaloopa12
What is happening to this podcast???
Who is picking these movies?!?! My lord!

Girls
It would be great if Bill didn’t have a separation of “girls” and “boys” movies and have the guys on movies like Working Girl.

Great Show
Ever since this podcast was recommended to me, I have been listening to it weekly. Helps me get through my work day. As a fellow movie lover I really enjoy listening to the show. And am super excited to listen to the out for justice episode. One of the movies that me and my dad watch together and enjoy

Show is great
Simmons, Ryan and Fennesy are awesome together. I love when Russillo and Van are on too. They really need to start doing TV shows too.

Great Pod
I have learned a lot from listening to this pod and watched a lot of movies and gone down a lot of rabbit holes, it’s all been great. Excellent pod, BUT The “I’m the only black guy on a podcast with all white people” bit The “I’m a married woman but I want to have sex with Harrison Ford” bit And lastly, The “unnecessary sports reference” bit All get realllllllly old :)

Bill Simmons
Bill, stay behind the scenes. You’ve hired great people-CR, Jo, Van; Bill is a “know it all” in his mind only. These Star Wars episodes really missed having someone old enough to remember this movie when it was released. Sorry Bill, you weren’t.
Dr Daemon
Very entertaining show
THRILLED that they finally bit into Star Wars!! The show is great fun to listen to if you’re into movies. Some of the choices are baffling but you can’t please everyone so I get it. My own wish list: Aliens (did the first one but more people love the second one) The Matrix Blade Runner Braveheart The Thing Conan the Barbarian Event Horizon LOTR? (probably wishful thinking) Anyway, it’s a great pod with funny and insightful content. I really don’t get all the negativity about Van in other reviews. He makes intelligent comments and the episodes he’s on are great. Thumbs up.

Excellent Podcast
This is easily my favorite podcast series. And Bill, you opened the door…now The Rewatchables absolutely must do Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Director Genre Review
Have you ever thought of reviewing a Director and all their movies? Currently listening to Star Wars and you are talking about all the directors of that era.. would be neat to hear a full episode director specific…

Past their Apex Mountain
This used to be my favorite podcast but it’s not as good anymore. It makes sense. Over time they just ran out of rewatchable movies to talk about. Once they started doing movies like “Pump Up the Volume” which was literally unwatchable at the time because it wasn’t on any platform to watch when they did it and started doing theme months that included “Manchester By The Sea” it got really hard to listen to. (Note: This is a phenomenal movie but is definitely NOT rewatchable) I love the recent episodes with Kyle Brandt doing more cause he brings a different, incredible energy but if he’s not involved it’s usually a pass at this point for me. Check out their earlier episodes. They’re way better.

Entertaining but a lot of sexism
Entertaining, funny, and sometimes insightful. I enjoy the podcast, but there is a lot of sexism. Particularly the episodes with no women. I don’t think it’s consciously done, but talking about actresses being hot enough for roles, pretty consistently talking about how terrible female characters are, disregarding movies that are typically geared towards women - it all adds up. I’d suggest adding some other voices to the discussion and thinking a little harder about the unconscious bias coming through.

Favorite podcast!
The categories are impeccable. The sports comparisons are colliding my two worlds perfectly. Van’s “did this movie need more black people?” And “WHY MEL, WHY?!” cries always crack me up! This podcast is endless entertainment. 10/10.

Rubin Effect
Very funny and entertaining pod, would be a 5 star but Mallory Rubin’s annoying voice brings it down 2 stars!

Keep banging!!
Stumbled into this, now we are sprinting!!! The Ben, Kyle and Ryne combo is pure entertainment!! Time for gymkata, out for justice and KKIII.. keep banging out top shelf work

Kyle Brandt is…..The Rabbit Punches
Thank you Bill, Sean, and Chris! Can a long time fan since the Boston Phoenix articles make two requests? 1. Can we ( I say we) Re- The Warriors (love Shea but he didn’t like the movie) or 2. Let Kyle and Mallory cook independently for the Lord of the Rings trilogy I know Chris and Sean have Xmas connection, but Mal and Kyle are passionate about it. Thank you for all the free content, insightful break downs, inside jokes, and endless laughs!!! You guys are the best!!!
