Good and bad
Good: you know these two. Effective and charismatic science communicators with many years of experience each.
Bad: ads. Not only are there a lot of them, but they play sponsor-provided ads rather than reading copy.
You know, the very reason people switched to podcasts from radio.
It’s grating. Corporate ads are just disgusting and derail the whole show.
I can only listen when I have my phone nearby so I can skip the atrocious ads.

Kind and cuddly
Just listened to How Big is a Piece of Chocolate and I loved the discussion on religion vs science at the end. Thank you so much for that kind take! I’d love for you to do a whole episode on the topic. There’s far too much division out there, and I think your voices would be a valuable addition to the discussion.

Fantastic
I love this podcast! So interesting and thoughtful and entertaining. Highly recommend.

leave them alone
lots of reviews are lowkey being xenophobic with the annoyance of michael’s americen accent. i mostly listen on youtube but was shocked seeing the amount of people hating. if hannah thinks hes suitable then deal with it. i think the episodes are thought provoking and very entertaining. if you’re only leaving a bad review because you think american people are annoying keep it to yourself. these are real people.

Great podcast ruined by ads
I’d gladly pay for this podcast but I refuse to listen to it with ads. Such a waste

Unique, quirky, fun, intelligent
These two know how to have some fun while going back back-and-forth on very interesting scientific facts and insights. Michael is just hilarious and Hannah keeps him in check while delivering astute counter points and insights. While I was expecting this to be a more basic science podcast, there are deeper insights and understandings that help me put together the bigger picture. Additionally, this podcast is unconventional and that it’s more of a dialogue and less of a structured format, which I greatly enjoy. Keep up the excellent quality episodes!

Very smart
I love love love this podcasts and the host are amazing, they make learning about anything so interesting and they explain subjects in a way that is very easy to understand. They have great chemistry and you can tell they care about the subject.

Can't Get Enough
Been watching Mike for years and it's always a treat when his videos popped up. I was so absolutely stoked to hear he is co-hosting a podcast! And, of course, it's great. Supremely entertaining and informational. Keep it up you two! Looking forward to many, many more! Happy Birthday Mike!

Unsubscribe lacks morals and ethics
I have just heard the male presenter on this podcast describe an experiment on human subjects known as the trolley experiment. The subjects were recruited for some other experiment and then exposed without warning to the trolley experiment. The male presenter said that they had a psychologist to talk with the subjects afterwards and try to assuage their concerns that people had been killed in this experiment. There seemed to be nothing this experimental psychologist would not do to harm people. The experiments he described would surely not pass an IRB review. What about the long-term PTSD effects on these subjects. This person has no moral or ethical standards. I have immediately unsubscribed from this podcast.

Michael Stevens & Hannah Fry are in your dream blunt rotation.
The conversation & questions these two have remind me when I use to smoke 🍃 back in college with my friends, and we’ll talk about all the crazy natural and scientific things that make life stranger than fiction in an amusing way. The only difference being that Hannah Fry and Michael Stevens are much credible, charming, and insightful than we ever were. I’ve recommended this podcast to people who don’t even know what a cell is and they love it.

I Don’t Even Like Science
As someone who avoided science labs in college like the plague, I have been positively charmed by this fascinating podcast. I suppose it takes me back to a simpler time when I could just be awed by the world around me and not have worry about passing a class. School really has a knack for crushing curiosity. This art history major looks forward to each episode.

Super awesome-o

don't know how...
I bailed at the 2:32 minute mark into a 38 minute podcast and can't actually give any insight into the content because as far as I can tell there was no content, just comercials. And the podcast, if there was any content (again which I was NEVER able to actually listen too), it must oinly be minutes long. Just not worth my time. But it WAS worth my time to write this review to warn others -too many commercials, not worth your time!!!!

Way too short
I enjoy both the hosts but this show is stupid short with too many ad breaks and there’s too much conjecture. There needs to be more time in these episodes for the host to fully explain their positions but right now everything they talk about is incomplete because they only talk about it for 10 minutes! Wild.

Nerd friends
I don’t write reviews, but I had to for this podcast. Found on YouTube, subscribed here. It’s like sitting around with your nerdy friends chatting about interesting science tidbits and didja-ever-wonders. Humble curiosity in easily digestible chunks. Love it!!

Before things get out of control
Before we lose control of this thing let me say this. Now that I’ve said that, everything Hannah and Michael do online is wonderful and while the first episode isn’t out yet the scientific method has taught me that I’ve observed enough of their content to make a reliable prediction that this will be a great podcast.

Thrilled!
I’ve been a fan of Michael since I was a cub. It is thinkers like him that have made me the strange bear I am today.
