I’ve been a listener and a fan since day one. I’m so proud of the growth and so grateful that you both continue to share your time and talents. Thank you for consistency and quality. I’ve been listening to y’all for yearsss and would love every episode but as of late I can’t even finish a full episode. These last few months your opinions have become very narrow and biased. It’s hard to listen to.

Tune if you wanna hear two extremely biased people (admittedly) talk about current events. Any topic critical of ROCNation, JayZ or Beyoncé, will not be discussed in anyway. Every other topic or person is fair game to them.

The celebrity worship is old, annoying and hypocritical. Beyonce is more like the billionaires yall claim to hate than she is like you and a fair critique of her would really improve how the audience perceives your opinion of others. She’s the rich we’re going to have to eat eventually. Sorry not sorry. Sticking around for listener letters at this point mostly.

I’ve listened to this weekly podcast for a decade. Crissle and Kid Fury bring so much joy to the world while also being brutally honest about the state of things. They’re blunt, hilarious and always come correct with their cultural criticism. It takes a certain kind of talent and work ethic to do this so consistently at the top level for so long. Thank ya’ll for digging through these ridiculous headlines every week so I don’t have to.

The recent episode Bird-In-Law is now my new favorite episode! Been watching for years, and Kid Fury and Crissle continue to make me belly laugh and tune in every week ☺️

Does Beyonce secretly fund this operation? I don’t understand why you all are so scared to critique that lady as if some agents in black SUV’s are going to run up on them and snatch them up if they speak ill of her. Why do you guys have such a strong allegiance to someone you don’t know intimately? Unless Beyonce has some job waiting for you on the other side of this, I don’t know what you all get out of making her out as your authority. Maybe there’s some self worth issues here because you both seem way too invested in her approval of you all. Celeb worship is so tired and you both are too dang old to succumb to it.

I LIVED for the read of Rosemary. I hope Kid Fury reads more iconic film characters! So fun. I cackled in my car.

The Read is an amazing podcast! It has definitely been a comfort in dark times for me, mentally. Love seeing both of them grow in their careers. I love when Crissle goes off! And I so appreciate Fury’s opened about his mental health journey.

Don’t get me wrong. I love Beyoncé. But somewhere along the line, The Read stopped keeping that same energy when it comes to her. Everyone else gets dragged for their missteps, but Beyoncé? Crickets. All because they got flown out for a day? Crissle, who isn’t even a mother and claims to be pro-women, spoke disgustingly about another woman’s uterus for 8 MINUTES! Yet when it came to Beyoncé’s little sit-down dinner, silence. Exactly what I expected. She’ll go in on every man’s alleged assault case, but Jay-Z’s? Nothing. Not a word. Crissle, girl, get a grip. Pray for healing. Try positivity. I honestly hope Kid Fury sees what so many of us see: a negative Nancy with a chip on her shoulder. I’m out.

there was a time when the read was one of the highlights of my week. somewhere along the way though...it's become the beyonce stan show with sprinkles of crissle's superiority complex and parental trauma and kid fury phoning it in in between. it's just not enjoyable to listen to anymore. 8 minutes of ranting and raving, imaging a pregnant woman's death, and making wild assumptions about a stranger's parenting is just the final straw on a badly broken camel's back. i hope they find their way again, but mostly i hope kid fury surrounds himself with people who are less cruel, vicious, and dedicated to putting more suffering into the world.

Strange for the hosts to just attack a woman for being pregnant. Thoughtless. I have better things to do with my time than allow this negativity into my space.

What used to be a funny show is now an old auntie projecting hate and negativity every episode. Crissle attacking a pregnant woman for 8 minutes straight was disgusting. I had to stop listening. Her doubling down on her actions proves that people eventually become those who they criticize. Do better!

But not a single peep about Beyoncé (someone y’all spoke a lot about this summer) and her choice to sit with the offspring of the orange man they (rightfully) talk who about. I see, your allegiance runs deep. Sad.

I’ve listened since day 1, came for Fury and staying for Fury. Homegirl is becoming more insufferable than ever.

I’ve been an enthusiastic listener of this podcast since 2018. My roommate at the time would listen every week while she was cooking and I eventually finally started to listen myself. I haven’t stopped since and I’m sure I never will and for many reasons, but as an example, I’m currently sitting in the airport listening to “Half on A Baby” and upon hearing Crissle hypothesize Rihanna’s 3rd offspring will be called “Revolution,” I involuntarily spluttered aloud. This show constantly makes me laugh aloud no matter where I am and I’m humbly appreciative of Kid Fury and Crissle for all they are and all they share in the digital hellscape. As a final note, I’m also wearing my “Life Is Better” cap from Kid Fury’s comedy tour as I write this. Forever a supporter and fan.

I have been listening for over a year. A friend recommended it to me when I told them how excited I was for Act II. Kid Fury and Crissle quickly became a part of my day to day life, the parasocial relationship is so real! So smart, so entertaining, and just genuine souls! I’ve been making my way through old episodes, I’m currently finishing 2021. What better praise can you get than “I’ve listened to 4 years of 2.5 hr episodes in about a year”?

Today’s episode (May 27,2025) was the cherry on top for me. Crissle and her pretentiousness., KF and his lack of enthusiasm. We get it Crissle, you hate all men and want them all to die 🙄 but I can’t take it week after week. Maybe I’ve just matured away from this show because every week has become an ear cringe. I’ve been a fan since 2017 and the show is starting to give the same vibes as many outstanding shows that crash and burn at the end because the creators don’t know when to throw in the towel, or reform. So with that being said I’m unfollowing as a loyal listener 💔

I enjoy the show but have to ignore the super weird bias Crissle has toward black men. She doesn’t seem smart enough not to paint all men with the same brush. Shouldn’t be giving advice based on her biases. The Tory Lanez segment cheering for him almost losing his life is quite possibly the lowest thing I’ve heard on this show which is sad.

Please just title the podcast episodes where y’all gush about Beyoncé and her girls as the Beyoncé episode…. No shade, but I’m not really a Beyoncé Stan (went to the renaissance tour was super disappointed) so I’m not interested in all things Beyoncé like yall rightfully are. I would appreciate a title to let us know prior to me just fast forwarding through the entire podcast waiting for yall to stop stanning beyonce just cuz she’s beyonce. I’m all here for balanced criticism but she fasho ain’t killin it every single time like yall be talmbout. And for as long as yall talk about her on some of these episodes chile… please

I love yall so much! So funny and so informative

The last few months listening to the show has been hard. I used to prioritize my day by running to listen to The Read because it brought so much enjoyment to my life. The Show has gotten progressively worse, the chemistry seems off between Crissle and Kid Fury and the show has turned into a “man-hating” podcast, when most of your listenership is largely male. Kid Fury may need some time to take care of his own mental health, perhaps a hiatus would do the show some good. I have been a loyal listener from the very beginning. It’s okay to take a break. Rest. Reset. Restructure.

This last episode yall… yikes on a bike. Between Kid barely speaking clearly, passing over his segments by only mentioning them, the sighs & huffing and Crissle only gaf about topics if it pertains to her dog… yall need a break BADLY. Yall literally sound like yall don’t care anymore. I can understand since it’s been afloat since 18’ but please, take a break for your mental health and your audience

After listening and loving the show for many years, I find recently it’s been getting harder and harder to hear what kid fury is saying. I know sometimes he is soft spoken, so can whoever is editing the show please turn up the volume of his mic so it is easier?

Seems like this is turning into an “I hate Jonathan majors” podcast. I’m okay with them not liking Majors, but dang, can the dislike become indifference and topics about him just be avoided?

I am a long time listener and have experienced Crissle and Kid Fury’s ups and downs. Crissle has been very transparent about her past and different methods of coping mechanisms. Which she has acknowledged, faced, dealt with and overcome. It seems as though, recently Kid Fury is dealing with personal issues and those issues are affecting the mood and flow of the show. Crissle does her best to keep a balance, but it is noticeable. Also, Kid Fury’s slurred and mumbled speech and approach to the different segments of the show comes off as uninterested. Take time, heal, and come back when you are ready. Your faithful listeners will be here ❤️

Last few episodes have been just okay. It seems like burnout which they’ve talked about on the show before. Im all for seasonal hiatuses if needed. As a listener, I hope that more enthusiasm will be brought to the segments or change the segments to align more with the hosts’ passion. Lots of mental health talk - hope they bring back crissles couch segment so listeners can choose to listen to therapy/mental health stuff if they want or skip it or once a month have crissle do a solo short ep focused on mental health and invite experts every so often to spice things up

I followed this podcast since 2015. And yeah, it was sloppy for a while, but I felt like I was talking to my friends. At this point, they are so entirely detached. Before the pandemic, I ran into crystal as she was leaving the equinox at Columbus Circle and she wanted nothing to do with me. I never ran into kid fury, but his struggle with mental health really resonated with me. And now it just feels like they do what they want when they feel like it. I literally have no idea how to pay my rent next month. I don’t know… It just feels like they’re so out of touch… And in my case, it just feels a little insulting.

Kid Fury and Crissle are so funny and so real and so honest and so raw. Love this show so much! It has taught me many things and grateful that they take the time to share it with us.
