Brandy is the best interviewer! She has a format so you know what you will learn from her guests. She does a great job getting information from those she interviews and her focus is always on the guests! She shares a little about herself making the guests comfortable but then always gets back to finding out more about the guests and their artist journey.

I have listened to The Quilter on Fire podcast for several years! I thoroughly enjoy the in-depth interviews. I just listened to the one with Lynne Goldsworthy . What a great interview! Good variety of guests. The yeahs and yeps seem like the interviewer is impatient and just trying to get to the next planned question. It makes it hard to listen.

I was so moved listening to the interview about The Quilters documentary. The thought that went into the making of the film was wonderful. I am looking forward to being able to see it eventually. And I will certainly bring it to the attention of the programming committee of my quilt guild. The story of the men learning to sew, their helping of one another, and the ultimate result of the finished quilts is heartwarming. And the fact that they were able to see video of the recipients with the quilts is life-changing for them, I am sure. As a quilter, it is so lovely to see someone wrapped up in the warm hug of a quilt you made. Thanks for sharing the story of this film. I am sure it will be receiving awards as it goes out into the world.

Great podcast

Brandi is easy to listen to, asks great questions of her guests and has an insightful and positive spin for quilters. Her tips and encouraging words are a pleasure for all types of quilters.

I love all things quilting. This show is eh to me. The guest will give thoughtful responses with the host giving quick “okay great” responses to hastily move to the next item on the list to chat about. I wouldn’t want to give a conversation like that so I don’t love listening to one either.

I’m loving the way that the QuiltCon 2024 episode is getting me revved for the show! There was a question during the episode about what the third city in the Triangle is. It’s Chapel Hill—home of the University of North Carolina! See you all in February!

I recently started listening to the Quilter on Fire podcast. I have enjoyed the podcast cast so much- listening to the back stories of all my favorite quilt people but also I am loving the opportunity of learning about new products and designers. I listened to the newest podcast yesterday about the See Yeah Quilting brothers - today a friend and drove down to Soldotna from Anchorage to visit the Bearly Threaded Quilting and to my surprise one of the brothers from Sew Yeah Quilting was there. I had just found out from the podcast that they had recently purchased the store in Soldotna. It was great talking to him about their stores and the information from the podcast. My friend and I are determined to go to the February retreat in Las Vegas. Thank you Brandy for putting on such a great podcast - I always look forward to your interviews!

I finally discovered where to write a review. I enjoy all the interviews Brandt does, even if I don’t participate in that area of fiber art. This interview was wonderful! Brandy’s questions let Jane share so much about her journey and her process. As usual her interview style gives more than a glimpse of the quilter’s personality. So funny to hear her early irritation with “that red headed quilter” who became her friend and mentor! I look forward to this podcast every week.

I am so glad I found this podcast. The interview with Tula Pink was superb. I follow Tula Pink on Instagram and always catch her Tuesdays with Tula videos, but I deepened my understanding of this creative wonder by the questions asked and Tulsa’s responses.
