Can’t listen, rated explicit. Pretty sad for me.

Okay, so the show is super funny. We’ve all got those awkward diary entries or memories from our childhood that make us so embarrassed. The podcast is relatable and accessible. One thing: PLEASE edit the title of the episode with *NKOTB. It’s New Kids On the Block. Not Kids New On the Block. 🤦

It’s the funniest most amazing podcast ever. Favorite so far is “plenty of fish” and “dude poet society” Crying of laughter! You guys are the best 🩶

Not very funny. It’s the same ‘joke’/ embarrassments over and over. We get it, sex+puberty = embarrassment.

This is a really good pod tbh, but u never know what ur getting urself into..

Love this podcast. So funny. The only thing I would change is some of the speakers are very irritating and shouldn’t be showcased on the show because of their obsessive clearing of the throat, always saying UM, taking huge inbreaths, or smacking of their mouths. Unfortunately have to skip past these ones. You’d think with something that is just voice based that these things would matter.

Love listening to these old diary/journal entries read aloud by those who rediscovered them. Have found myself laughing out loud too many times in public. Would recommend! Wish they had new episodes coming out still.

This is the show I sent to all my clients for situations when they want to feel better. I always feel better when I’m here. Thank you.

There is something so cathartic about this show, knowing that we are all so strange. As they say at the end of every episode: “We are freaks, we are fragile, and we all survived.” I listen to this for hours on end and it makes me laugh like nothing else. Thank you for bringing joy into my life!

I am living again

I really like this podcast but would strongly prefer a PG 13 version. I don’t want or need to hear about underage sex. Leaving it in uncut also prevents the people who are the age of the writers (when they wrote it) from being able to listen. This could easily be a family friendly show but as is it’s not.

I randomly stumbled across this podcast and started listening to it and I am ADDICTED!! My diaries as a kid sound pretty much identical to most of the ones I’ve heard this far! I absolutely love this podcast!!

I never miss an episode of Mortified! The Jessica episode broke my heart and made me laugh.

Hilarious and who can’t relate? Neil puts together great clips and I just love this podcast. I’m on my second listen from the first one just because it brings me so much joy and laughter. So thank you to those behind the show and to those telling their stories. I really do love it. ❤️❤️❤️

This podcast is the absolute best!! I listen to these podcasts before I go to bed and they make me crack up! Will you do another episode kind of like “Sweet Valley High and Animorphs”? That’s my favorite Mortified episode. It is hilarious!! 🤣😆Oooh, or a Mortified episode with actual celebs’ diaries and stories 😮. I am a middle-schooler and I listen to Mortified when I am feeling down or just want to crack up laughing and when the episode is finished I just tap a new one with a grin on my face. But my one complaint is, I wish they would beep out the cuss words. I’m in middle school and I want to still enjoy Mortified without possibly getting in trouble for listening to something rated explicit. If you could do that than Mortified would be perfect. Thanks! ☺️

This is the best podcast I've ever heard. It's a smart and simple concept, beautifully executed. The stories are heartwarming, touching and full of hope while also hilarious. In the midst of news that are so hard to listen to and crime content that is so fun but horrible in its nature, this podcast is all light and joy. Recommend whole heartedly!

I started keeping a journal because of this podcast. Soo many cringe worthy moments make me laugh! Love hearing other people experiences !!!! 🤣

I’m going to echo some of the new reviews - been listening for years, love the episodes, but the new ones do seem more disjointed, and the ads at the beginning for the teen show were really annoying. But I think they’ve finally changed that. I get promoting your own show, but I am listening for the stage performances! The guest star shows aren’t as good usually. But I LOVED the meditation episode, it was hilarious and one of my favorites to return to. We want longer clips too, thank you! It’s almost always good.

Lately, there have been more abridged/episodes featuring their new show HOWEVER I love this podcast. I’ve kept journals since 4th grade (over 20 years!) and I laugh out loud at the cringe worthy moments and brutal honesty of children/teenagers.

I love the live shows, and I love the podcast! This always makes me laugh, and I love the community that surrounds Mortified. “We are freaks, we are fragile, and we all survived.” Truer words have never been spoken

This is suppose to be for adults, but the stories told/read would only be mortifying to teenagers - if that! It is also the same experience told over and over by different people about their first kiss. Not mortifying at all unless you are 13 years old. I found it repetitive and boring.

Not sure if all the really good contributors have already submitted all the really good content or what...but the last several times I’ve listened, it’s been cringeworthy. I used to LOVE this podcast.

Only complaint is that I wish episodes came out more often!!

I first discovered mortified on Netflix. I collect comedy to lift my low moods and the movie was hilarious. The podcast makes me laugh just as hard. This has been more effective than depression medication though that helps too. Thank you mortified!!!

For such a short podcast it has a long intro then ads then an interview with the author. It's a good idea in an awkward format. The 2 stars are mostly because it just gets old. Every story is essentially the same early sexual experience kind of deal.

Troublemakers episode was garbage (at least the second half). I don’t care if you want to promote your new podcast, but I don’t want to listen to something created for tweens and it’s such a cheap cop out for a real mortified episode. Otherwise, I love the podcast. Just please make real episodes!

I personally burned my teenage diaries right before I got married, but oh how I relish reliving other peoples mortifications! Great escapism fire your overburdened life, reminds you to lighten up a little!

As a mom of a teens you forget you were once an idiot teen too and that life will not only continue but they will someday hopefully grow to be productive members of society. If you are looking for a walk down memory lane or to just look at life from the safety of the future give it a shot!

I accidentally fell upon this podcast after listening to one of my other favorites - R!SK! I listened to E1-7 scream laughing away in my apt alone. I fell asleep laughing and I have recommended it to a few of my podcast loving friends today. Thank you for the gift of laughter and the reminder that we are all just so weird. 🤣

I made a serious error in judgment today. I downloaded this series and listened to the latest episode while running on the streets of my neighborhood. I was laughing so hard that I had to stop several running entirely several times so as to avoid “bladder leakage”. I am sure I looked a proper fool but I plan on doing it again tomorrow. Great podcast!

I generally love this podcast (hilarious, unique - it's a gift to the podcast world), but used to love it way more when you all would just let storytellers tell their story in full, with the "post-mortem" afterwards. Now, most live recordings are spliced with little comments and narration every third sentence. The break in flow drives me crazy! So much that I've stopped listening as often. I just want to listen to the live recordings. I really don't think this format works for podcasts- the extra comments take away more than they add. (Unlike on the tv show, where cuts/visual breaks keep you engaged). It's like going to a play and having the director stop the actors every thirty seconds to explain what's going on. Bring the old style back!

I started listening to this podcast after I heard a spot for it on the Criminal podcast and I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of it before... this podcast is amazing!! I find myself laughing out loud to almost every episode because the content is so totally relatable. Can’t get enough and can’t stop bingeing the episodes! Please keep em comin!!

I've been listening to this podcast for years, and I'm finally over it...I don't know if i just didn't notice it in the beginning, or if it's happening more now. But. Mortified is way too focussed on sexual thoughts and/or encounters between children/teenagers. I like sex podcasts just fine, but I don't like envisioning non-adults having sex. Every time i listen to it now I just think about all the pedafiles out there that would love this. 2 stars because the episodes that aren't sex centered are actually REALLY good, but I wish the show didn't rely so much on the shock factor of childhood sexuality.

Mortified has been my favorite podcast since I discovered what podcasts are. Why is there nothing more recent than June 17? I’ve obviously not listen for a time But I want to know what has happened? This podcast is incredible. It has made me laugh,cry,and be embarrassed and amazed. I’m amazed at the bravery of these folks. Please help me! I need a fix. It helps to know that I am not the only fool on this planet

This podcast is hilarious but I prefer not to listen with my adult children because of the embarrassing subjects. It makes me laugh out loud. It’s so funny to be reminded of preteen/ teenage priorities and worries. Fun themed episodes.

This is by far my favorite podcast. I've recently been laid up with the flu and I love just putting the Mortified episodes on an listening for the afternoon. Laughter is the best medicine!

I was mortifying as a young person but I didn’t keep track of it!

When I listen to this podcast, I actually find myself laughing out loud sometimes. What a great topic for a podcast! I love the themed episodes. I do hate when the hosts interject and the opening, but it’s pretty easy to skip over.
