Best podcast ever!
Reading all these negative reviews are just sad. Everyone has an opinion and if you don’t like something move on to the next podcast. I have been listening to this podcast all this year or 2025 and it has helped me in so many ways. If you have nothing nice to say they don’t say anything. Internet thugs are the biggest problem with social media. Thank you Mel for all you do!!! You are very much appreciated.

Long in tooth
Life is busy and dedicating over an hour to get through the episode is impossible. I have to stretch them out over a few days, even speeding up to 1.25-1.5.
Shaving your episodes to 30 minutes (like many successful peer-podcasts) would be incredible and digestible — and entirely possible with less hyperbole, prelude, and repetition (we don’t need you to repeat multiple times what your thought leader-expert states) and oh boy, the interruptions. ……!

A lot of people are saying
I’m reading a lot of these reviews, and noticing a similarity to what I feel with this pod - “I love Mel, but…”. I like these podcasts. I download most of them. But sometimes Mel can be a bit polarizing and the experts she brings on definitely do not paint the entirety of the issues they discuss. In particular, a lot of the eating and body related ones are not for an audience other than Mel, or someone with a body similar to Mel and a body / food experience similar to Mel. It would be cool if she could try and feature a larger array of perspectives. That said, I like a lot of the mental health related ones. The other issue is her new obsession with telling us to “share the episode”. It feels super manipulative, since she literally knows shares have grown her show it feels like she’s doubling down on “forcing us to share”. Mel, I will share your episode if I want to and I know how. Please try to just tell us once. 3-4 times is getting weird and manipulative

Wish I could get through all the hype
Most of the interviews are all hype and fluff. I wish it were more condensed and to the point instead of so much marketing. I find myself constantly skipping waiting for actual info.

Love the podcast….
The Ads!!!!! Too many. Mel I believe has ADHD (from one of her podcast) and some people are very detail so I understand the length of the intro is and I am good with it. So to me, Mel seems to really care and wants to be sure she has the background on the subject. Mel has some good guests who have their own educational background in most cases. She brings a lot of good topics to the table. I appreciate Mel and I enjoy following her podcasts.

Too repetitive
Really wanted to like this podcast but the host is too repetitive, she takes forever getting to the point and introducing the guest and even spoils what her guest speaker is going to say before introducing them. I think she treats her audience like they are dumb and has to rephrase everything the guest speaker says. Every episode is so dragged out even though it could have been a great shorter episode, I get the feeling this hosts likes to listen to themselves talk a lot

Disappointed
As a therapist, I hear Mel’s theories and statements in sessions. Mel’s advice and words are not trauma informed and often leave victims feeling more powerless and shameful. The Let Them plot is not only not her original idea, but it’s extremely harmful at times.

This is the best podcast I’ve listened to :D
I mean, This is easily 5 stars but it is way too long for my screen time limit… 6 minutes and not even the conversation? Crazy. Also I like it but… She interrupts, She isn’t a therapist but she knows a lot! I am asking for a let them theroy podcast which reads the book and still be able to be free.

Questionable content

Quit interrupting!!
I tried. Love the subjects and the guests but the constant interrupting makes my brain hurt. I try to focus on the guest and Mel suddenly interjects her opinion/experience mid-sentence of the speaker. Awful. Gave me anxiety. Bye paid subscription.

Annoying Host Who Doesn’t Let Get Guests SPEAK
I really wanted to like this podcast and have tried listening off and on but Mel Robbins is truly insufferable. I’ve noticed on all the shows I’ve listened to, she’s always interrupting her guest speakers! Not only that, she’s incredibly dumb given how much of basics she doesn’t know. Like not knowing the mind controls all and she’s having this big girl moment of just NOW realizing when she “wiggles her toes, it’s actually her mind sending a signal.” Sheesh. I’m out. I can get the content and guest speaker elsewhere.

Over 6 minute long intro!
Love Mel and her teachings but intros and ads are too long! I’m at 6:45 minutes and the she’s still doing the intro…

Fraud
Stole the idea for the Let Them Theory and refuses to admit it. A charlatan and grifter.

Too many interruptions
Mel Robbins is not a therapist nor has a PhD, but she interjects her opinion or stories entirely too much to the point that she interrupts her EXPERT guest incessantly! I listen to podcasts either for the host’s expertise, if they are an expert in their field (Mel is a lawyer, so she’s not an expert in self help) or for the guests. However, I can never fully understand Mel’s guests due to her interruptions and rephrasing. She turns expert information sharing into pseudoscience. Additionally, the number of times she tells her audience to share with someone we know is maddening. I can’t listen anymore. I’ll find these experts elsewhere.

Better than therapy
Thank you, Mel, for an outstanding podcast and book. I often times find your podcast more helpful than my therapist so please keep the topics coming.

Interrupts too much
She interrupts her guests too much - talking about herself. I wanted to like her but there are better podcasts.

Dear, Robin
Please let your guest speakers finish their sentences before you cut them off. It’s rude and interrupting.

Interrupts and talks over guests!
Love Mel, but it’s getting difficult to continue to listen. She cuts off her guests so much! She talks over them almost every other sentence. I was really trying to listen to Dr. Leaf but goodness the poor lady couldn’t finish a thought! Mel interrupted her constantly, I had to turn it off.

So much interrupting
I like this podcast but Mel interrupts every guest when they’re in the middle of a really interesting sentence to talk about her life experience. I’m listening to the Dr Leaf episode and she’s trying to explain things and keeps getting interrupted. I get it’s a podcast but sometimes you have to learn to let people talk.

Very good, one issue
Love the topics and experts in this podcast. I have great respect for Mel. I do wish Mel would not interrupt the speakers so often when they are in the midst of explaining the topic.

Please stop interrupting
I was excited to listen to this new episode 218. The information was good but I had to stop listening because Mel kept interrupting and “dumbing down” what Dr. Suzuki was saying. Not all of us need that and would like to hear it straight from the source. If you go to chat for and ask to summarize the book, it will break down the 5 steps without listening to this episode.

Too many interruptions
Mel, while I love your podcasts and the guests you have on, I have a hard time with frequent interruptions when the guests are speaking. I know you like to rephrase for those of us who may have a difficult time understanding or wondering if it applies to us. However, I believe most of your listeners are intelligent. When I’m listening to the guest speak, I would like to hear more of what they have to say without interruptions. An occasional rephrasing would be fine and often necessary, but I think it’s a bit too much at times
That being said, I bought your book and love it! Thank you for what you do

Format Change
I’ve listened to the Mel Robbin’s podcast for 2 years. Use to love it. Never missed an episode. The last idk 6 months with this new format… idk it feels too polished. It feels less like listening and being involved with friends having a conversation. Now it feels like a overly curated interview. It doesn’t feel friendly anymore. But stuffy. And then Mel is now referrancing to a book page and crying (emotion is fine) but like every podcast? It feels not the same and I miss the old friendly less uptight format.

Be curious
Love your show! This last episode 306 was tough to listen to as the guest was interrupted so much. You knew too much about the content and jumped in a lot. No need to prove your knowledge as hearing another’s ideas is so helpful to us.

Great show but there is improvement
I enjoy most of the topics, they are life changing. The host just keeps interrupting the speakers, and talks about herself. It would be nice to have more active listening.
Hellooo please
Let you guests speak without interrupting
I really enjoy the topics and insights Mel shares on the podcast. However, one thing that consistently turns me off is how often she interrupts her guests. For example, I was listening to the episode with Dr. Caroline Leaf, and while I appreciate Mel’s effort to make the content relatable by breaking things down, I felt like Dr. Leaf was never given enough space to fully explain her thoughts before being cut off.
I was especially interested in the practical steps Dr. Leaf was trying to share about how our brains work and how we can take control of our thinking. But Mel’s constant interruptions made it difficult to follow the conversation, and honestly, it became so frustrating that I decided to stop listening to the podcast altogether and search for Dr. Leaf on YouTube instead.
I’m not sure if this review will ever reach Mel, but if it does, I’d encourage her to go back and re-listen to the episode—this time from the perspective of a listener. Sit in our seat and hear how it feels to want deep insight but get sidetracked by repeated interruptions. I say this with love because many of us tune in each week looking for real wisdom and practical tools from the guests she features.
All the best.

love but needs to do better
i really really LOVE this show but mel really needs to work on not interrupting and cutting off her guests. it’s extremely frustrating when someone is in the middle of a thought and she derails it.

I love you but…
It’s so hard to hear some of the episodes because Mel cannot stop interrupting her host!! It drove me crazy especially in the most recent episode

Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
I wanted to like Mel, and I did for some time- and then the curtain dropped. Her last book was plagiarized, she keeps company with pyramid scheme leaders, and admittedly was quoted as doing work for Trump and undoubtedly supports capitalism as her books are constantly promoting another of her platforms.
Not to mention that her husband has some sort of retreat that costs $6k to join!
It’s all a scam. Wake up.

Dr. London Episode rocks!
Long time periodic listener who circled back for the episode with Dr. London all about heart health. Thank you for sharing with vulnerability from the prospective of a clinician (we can make the worst patients, can’t we?) and breaking it down into terms the listener would understand. The perfect blend of touching, informative and moving. Great work!

Best Podcast Ever
I listen to an episode of Mel every morning before getting on my phone to check notifications and I just love it so much! This is a daily habit that is bringing me so much joy and knowledge. Thanks Mel!

Disappointing
I was disappointed to hear the oil and gas industry ad at the end of a recent episode given that they are the cause of so many environmental and global issues. Not a responsible or positive use of this platform

Shut up and let the guest talk
I really wanted to hear the expert on anxiety but Mel ruined it by stepping all over the interview. A good interviewer lets people talk. Listening to this podcast gave me more anxiety as the guest fought to get a word in. Im done with this podcast . On the level the level Oprah who always acted like she knew more than her guests.

Dealing with difficult people
Well, the title was a bit deceptive, as this episode was more about communication styles and not really difficult people. While it did touch upon how to communicate better with those who have opposing opinions on topics, that doesn’t necessarily mean these people are difficult to talk to. It sounded a bit hokey to me. I can’t even imagine having a conversation like that. It just seams forced. Don’t get me wrong, I already ask my daughter and people in my life if they want me to just listen or offer an opinion. I just can’t imagine telling someone “I need to talk about something and it isn’t going to be an easy conversation” and having the
Not automatically get on the defensive.

Grass is green
I don’t necessarily dislike the podcast but most of the shows I’ve listened to are not earth shattering at all….. I have to listen at 1.25 or 1.50 and in small increments bc of all the talking the host does. I’m sure it’s me but I would rather hear from the subject matter experts in more detail than the next simple question…..

This was a good one!!! And Mel if you want to know about your coughing fit during the show and how to have it not happen (I’m a laryngologist so I PROMISE this is scientific and not a recommendation to drink more water)

Listen then Respond
I just finished listening to: The Ultimate Guide to Women’s Hormones.
Mel, you repeatedly interrupted your guest at very strategic points where the Dr. was preparing to share some specific guidelines and BOOM - you interrupted and the rhythm and thread was lost. Such great information offered but so frustrating for your listeners who are on the edge of their seats—listening for the suggestions and insights. I would like to recommend that you feature a guest who is an expert on LISTENING and use the interview as a real life, real time exercise for YOU to practice and hone that skill. I am not the only reviewer who feels this way. Please take the opportunity to listen to these reviews and improve your platform.

Love you but get to the point
Mel,
I am a huge fan and I listen at least one to two times a week. And have read your books. But I’m struggling through the podcasts the last several weeks as the first 20 to 35 minutes is just a prep for the rest of the show. I feel like getting to the point faster helps a lot of people stay tuned in. There has just been so much filler before getting to the actual content. Which is still great content, but I find myself literally skipping tons of the first part of the show. I’m sure there is a method to this at some extent, but it’s been really painful for me as a listener.

It changed my life
This podcast truly changed the way I view myself, life, others and the list goes on. Mel is so unbelievably talented and she has great advice. You can tell she loves what she’s doing and her hard work and dedication definitely shows. She has taught me so much I just want to give her a big hug and say thank you. She also organizes her information in a way that is so easy to understand especially as someone who has ADHD; I am able to understand and comprehend what she’s saying lol. 100/10 podcast will listen to forever. Thank you Mel. 💓

Mel Robbin’s Needs an Editor
I wanted to like it truly, but what is the limit on repeating the phrase “stress diarrhea “ ? She repeats phrases ad nauseum. She is too smart for this to be accidental. Inside more minutes means more ad time.
