Dr Markey
2 stars may be too high a rating for today’s show. He is talking out of both sides of his mouth about research . On one hand he wants to speed up time to get drugs to market. Then he talks about vaccines and how they must be reigned in. RFK and his colleagues must be removed from the dept. impartial scientists must be placed in the jobs of HHS secretary and head of the FDA and CDC and NIH.

Can be good at times
To me it sounds like what girl made up the Trump Birthday letter to Epstein story. It doesn’t sound like Trump it doesn’t even sound like a man. I’m unsubscribing
i watch it on youtube usually
Rick Steves
I never review podcast but the Rick Steves guy comes across as such an arrogant and condescending person it was hard to take

I think the next visit from the federal government should be OSHA. Did Gary ever hear about lockout tag out with regard to his employees, losing fingers and hands?

Rick Steves sounds very privileged
I would love to travel the world, but have limited time and money. It’s not as easy as just desiring to travel and snapping your fingers. He also implies that people who don’t travel are xenophobic nationalists who want to “put up walls.” 🙄 Also, are Americans generally xenophobic toward Europeans?? His edginess card for loving marijuana has expired as well. Nobody cares.

Biased “Reporting”
Episodes are increasingly left-leaning biased. Expect to hear clear reporting on all sides of issues, but that’s not the case here. How is this stuff getting released everyday?

Daily Listener
I saw a couple of reviews from people upset about the NPR episode featuring their head honcho. Stop crying. You can listen to 15 minutes from someone you disagree with and survive to tell the story. This podcast is excellent. The episodes that are informative and fill me in on current events and the most interesting stories WSJ is covering. Some of their in depth series are fascinating like the recent one on Neom, Saudi Arabia. The election coverage from Molly Ball was very informative. Keep up the great work. Thanks!

Disappointing
Regarding the interview with the DC mayor. The DC mayor was great, but Kate kept pushing her to criticize Trump. That’s not journalism , that’s bias. The Journal continues to prove it is moving left.

Solid Journalism but Tone Deaf on Certain Issues
I've been listening to The Journal. for years and typically enjoy the show. However, the recent episodes about the right-wing billionaire Leonard Leo are surprisingly tone deaf. For example, comparing a billionaire to David in David vs. Goliath is laughable and so out of touch with reality.

Inside ICE’s deportation 6/10
This is what I voted for. Great job to Trump and his team! The WSJ is leaning farther and farther left. I don’t miss reading your paper. I don’t know if I will continue to listen to your podcast. Sad.

It’s just like listening to MSNBC. As a paying WSJ subscriber I don’t expect content with this bias.

Immigration
Here are my take aways.
1. How many employees does Mills have? Then I can make an informed assessment if 11 is a problem.
2. Ukrainians should be fighting Russians not abandoning their country.
3. 20 bucks an hour are terrible wages. That should be the training wage and then go to 30.00. The Government will pay more so you don't need slave wages.
4. Get the 10 million GenZ's off welfare and back to work.
5. When did the WSJ become NPR? Maybe ask for Federal funding.

Anti remote work propaganda
You can tell Murdoch telling them to push these North Korea remote work stories every few months for propaganda

Biased report of a biased NPR
Listened to the one sided report on NPR. Reporter disclosed her previous relationship with NPR and proceeded to present a platform for the president of NPR to present a defense of her shoddy management of NPR. I used to let my kids listen to NPR in the early 1990’s. Now no responsible parent could allow the “R” rated program in a car with a kid. The heavy emphasis on sex precludes it. The reporter apparently has never heard of this thing called the “Internet” as a source of news and reporting. NPR is obsolete, clearly biased and as was cited is paid for by funds borrowed from China. Time to defund NPR. I expected better of WSJ very poor job.

Episode on NPR funding
I used to listen to NPR for more than ten years. While there are very informative segments, it is to the left and more aligned with Sanders and AOCs of the world. More like a radio version of MSNBC (aka MSDNC). I wish it was more balance. I have stopped donating money to them.

Mostly Good
The coverage is generally fair and as unbiased as possible, but when they do sensational episodes where they take one character’s point of view (An Air Traffic Controller Speaks Out About Newark Airport), those are unbearable. If I wanted pure storytelling I would listen to that type of podcast; I am interested in news coverage.

Superficial
No depth. Just reporting government words, with no background from other sources.

Fair, Balanced, and Fascinating!
I never miss! Love the length - and the varied topics. Ad Fontes media recently rated this pod at the very height and center of the media bias/information integrity chart! (Spring 2025) And I agree!

Wall Street
My favorite podcast to listen to every day I love the topics and the people on the show

Steadfast journalism
I never subscribed to or read the Wall Street Journal until this podcast. I wasn’t interested in articles I assumed heavily sided with Wall Street and right leaning mega wealthy businesses. This is definitely not the case. The WSJ podcast has consistently delivered incisive, reliable and relevant content about all aspects of news and politics since I started listening. I have always leaned left, but I rely on the perspective of these reporters nearly every day.

Did these folks worry about the rule of law and due process?
I’ve been reading the Wall Street Journal for 45 years. I’ve always been a moderate person politically, and socially liberal. I’m a business owner and I have a family. For there not to be one podcast in the last week about what’s going on legally in this country under this administration right now is unconscionable. People should not be pulled off of the street and imprisoned in another country by the America that I grew up in. And the Wall Street Journal with all of its far right opinion writers still has to have someone who can say that.

WSJ editorial board, but for millennials
Been listening since the first episode. Show has become a mouthpiece of the WSJ editorial board, but for millennials. Such shallow journalism that skirts around asking tough questions—especially with regard to constitutional rights. Sad

Spotify Ads
I have never listened to this podcast but an ad for the Trillion Dollar Shot series (despite being a year out of date) comes up every single ad break on my Spotify and it makes me sick of this podcast before every hearing an actual episode.

Good content. Poor hosting.
Overall good topics and show, but the current hosts are hard to listen to. They are constantly pausing with seemingly incomplete thoughts and their tone makes every question seem like it’s a deep mystery. Just talk, present the information, and ask questions. Cut out the dramatic tone. Makes it hard to stay engaged.

Great podcast
It’s funny how the MAGA cult can’t handle the truth about the destruction Trump is doing to our country. Don’t listen to them. They can go listen to their fake news podcasts. I am listening to the episode with Lee Zeldin. He should not be head of the EPA . I’m glad you interviewed him so the world can see how he wants to dismantle the EPA and destroy our environment for his benefit. Trump needs to be impeached immediately along with all of his corrupted buddies.

Wow, Kate, a little obsessed with climate change
Am I missing something here you give us the impression that the EPA is the only thing standing between us And an overheated planet
Reevaluate your religious view on climate change

Kate L Mensa to lose her bias
These reports are often biased, but Kate L gets hysterical in her reports and interviews. The recent one on the EPA was a great example where she was unable to control herself and her views about climate change. Stick to the interview and the facts.

Consistently sharp
The Journal, despite its heinous owner, continues to produce thoughtful commentary and perspectives on important economic issues. Don’t always agree with their perspective, but that’s why I listen.

Expected better from WSJ
Hosts are unprofessional, biased.

No better then the NYTimes
If “Trump college crackdown” is any indication of the intentional bias and indifference to balance of all these I will no longer be partaking. Garbage propaganda show.

Decent content- unlistenable presentation
I stopped listening to this podcast. Unfortunately, the main presenter Kate, has decided to emulate the vocal presentation style of Michael Barbaro (The Daily). It’s obnoxious. “I. Want to ask. You. What is the result….” I literally cannot listen to it.
Unfortunate, because like much of the WSJ reporting, it’s very good. And no, it’s not misogyny. I will not listen to Michael Barbaro either. He’s just weird and creepy.
Update-tried listening again. Same issue with presentation and content has gone downhill. No compelling reason to spend 20 minutes on this.

Please stop the left leaning bias.
I used to enjoy the podcast however since the election, it’s just become another mainstream left leaning podcast. You’ve lost another listener.

1 of 2 I Often Listen
WSJ The Journal is one of only two podcasts to which I listen. Always great stories - super opportunity to learn - and in less than 25 minutes. Thanks for the mini lessons.

Insightful and neutral
Ignore what maga lunatics say in other comments, this is a quite insightful show that focus more on the economics side instead of ideology. Keep up the good work

When did the WSJ go so far left?
This podcast should be a solidly conservative. Instead, it is just the opposite! It’s hard for me to fathom that this podcast is even remotely related to the WSJ that I once knew, but then again the WSJ is no better than any other mainstream media publication today. So sad.

I like your show very much, but the show about misrepresentation of the lawyers in the sexual harassment case was a weak argument, how naive to think lawyers are in business to make money.

left NYT the daily for The Journal
title says it all — less polarizing nonsense, more journalistic integrity. I’ve learned a lot from this pod, kudos to those behind it. to those saying it’s too leftist, i would challenge you and ask, perhaps its just too fact-based compared to what you’re used to?
y0unggrassh0pper1
Long-time listener of this great, fair podcast, which can be trusted as reliable and accurate
I love the continuity of this well-produced reporting. WSJ’s The Journal relies on WSJ journalist’s excellent reporting and opinion. This has been so long before generative AI emerged. I know because I have been listening for several years.
To listeners frustrated by bias, take note: WSJ will cover the events that most affect their readers and the nation generally. Politicians and leaders on the left and right act in ways that demand coverage.
If listeners find reporting on President Trump pervasive, considered that the President Trump chooses to set up news conferences. There is little about his political life that should lead Americans to think that he doesn’t want their attention.
All news organizations, including WSJ, have columnists who write opinions that are sympathetic with a generally-conservative viewpoint or align with generally-liberal values.
The most reputable news organizations will carefully demarcate for readers—often in unmistakable ways—what content constitutes fact-reporting and what content is published as opinion. Those that are misleading do the opposite. Most TV and podcasts, though not all, are opinion pieces but they rely on fact-reporting.
And if you can’t handle listening to a different opinion because it’s presented in an offensive manner, fine. But if you can’t handle listening to a different opinion because it’s different, then you’ve got some work to do.

The Journal = CNN 2.0
Between Ryan and Kate as hosts you might as well call the podcast CNN 2.0 - We want you to know we hate Donald trump and aren’t even going to give him a chance. I used to love the journal. I went to the podcast for a fair, balanced take on all things business, global topics, and more recently politics. It feels clear the journal podcast is now a hard left leaning podcast on all takes. It makes me sad because it has hard to find a balanced take this day and age with a majority of media supporting the left heavily. Feels the only podcasts I can rely on for a balanced take on things are podcasts like “All In”.

One Sided & Boring
Used to love this podcast but it’s unbearably one sided lately and all the stories are about Trump & Musk. Miss when I’d actually learn from this podcast & be able to share insightful things with others. Not anymore.

Not bipartisan at all. Disappointed that this program praises leftist failures.

TDS Hosts Especially Kate
I used to think WSJ kind of still had some credibility - But sadly, no. TDS all the way. How can you categorically say tariffs cause inflation? Did you go to the American Samoa school of Economics?
If you tariff Japanese cars, but not American or Korean or European, etc. - Can you still categorically say inflation will occur? Are you a high-school newspaper?
TDS all the way. Editors, do your job and fire the hosts!

Need both sides of a story
Love the topics and the hosts. However, often times when discussing a topic I feel like we’re given only one side of a story. Especially if it is a political topic. Too often we hear most responses from one side of the aisle.

Stop complaining
People have to stop complaining that it’s too left leaning. TBH they’re neutral and you don’t have to listen if you don’t like it. You don’t have to give them bad reviews. Great podcast though.

Is this AI?
Why does this sound like it’s been written and voiced by AI? It sounds exactly like Google’s NotebookLM. I’m suspicious of whether this is real.

Missing an elephant
In the entire course of this piece, even in the section dealing specifically with energy, no mention of the country’s suicidal mistake to de-nuclearize its energy grid, opting instead for wind, solar and coal. This has been a disaster for industry: high costs and energy shortages; it’s tantamount to de-industrialization. No amount of government propping up will correct such a core disability.
