Liked the HIM comments and the general comedy stuff that happens per episode. Constantly rewinding to hear something three or four times because it tickles me so. The Final Destination one also rules referring to Anthony Amirati; had to revisit those pics.

I love this show and all the hosts so much Paige and Todd are so funny as I’ve been slowly catching up to the more recent episodes I did how ever listen to the critters episode because I heard Mikey was on it I just listened to his last ep as host and missed his jokes a lot but hey ya’ll still doing great work bye ps: I don’t know if ya’ll remember Mikey’s theory about newt killing the settlers of the planet in aliens gosh just listened to that ep again and I’m drawing a blank but anyway I agree with him one hundo anyways keep up the good work ya’ll should do that new movie that came out clown in the corn fields bye

I LOVE THIS PODCAST, Paige brings the truth into comedy and Todd is just there as if he is comedy himself. And with how much they like musicals, Anna and the Apocalypse is due for a rewatch

Started listening to you guys a few years back, as a WAYMO test driver ironically (I know how much yall love those cars 😂). I started much like Todd, NOT a fan of horror, but you guys have inspired me to write a horror flick‼️ KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK‼️

…after discovering from a “Last Shift” search. Great chemistry, good humor and some rabbit trails that end up paying off. On top of my positive first impressions, I heard them endorse Suboxone and other MAR meds to get off heroin. As someone with 9+ sober/clean years, I owe my life in part to those medications. I’m also a baby-face like Michael and can’t grow a beard, even at age 48. Good stuff all around, count me in and “on the bus” going forward. Update: where’s the third dude? Hopefully it’s temporary because he is funny and adds a lot. Another Update: The show is still very good, but losing the extra 3rd dude definitely takes some zip off their fastball…

Fun fact: I was raised Mormon in NJ and went to girls camp (summer church camp for girls) where they filmed the original Friday the 13th! It was in the mid 2000s and was converted to a 4H camp at the time but I went swimming in that lake 😖

They need to take Mikey’s name off as a host as they are besmirching his good name, I tried to give Todd and Paige a chance but truly the most recent F13th episode was the last straw. When I got halfway through and realized the ONLY saving grace was the guest host, I had to stop. The only good thing is their old catalog is available so you can still hear quality, albeit dated, options from former hosts Mikey and Jen. Just isn’t the same.

I love this show! I’ve been listening since just before Paige joined the pod and haven’t missed an episode since!

You’ve never heard anyone more pleased with themselves than these two. They also embrace the worst habit a podcaster can have - saying something they think is hilarious at the start of an episode and then just beating it into the ground for the rest of the show. A perfect example is the 28 Years Later review. Todd calls a character “Joe Rogaine” early on and then repeats it no less than 15 times. And the spontaneous singing is just tedious. And they seem to think blood and guts is body horror. Somebody getting chopped up by Jason or Michael Myers is just slasher violence. Body horror is the human body being changed in disgusting ways like in The Fly or Society. PS - If you weren’t alive in the 80s or barely cognisant, stop telling us what the 80s were like. “well, in the 80s…” or “it was the 80s, so…”. And the answer to any question about the 80s isn’t always cocaine.

Take a shot every time Todd says “Honestly” (or actually don’t). Todd, we believe you! Stop professing your honesty. Other than that OCD killer, really good show.

The longer the show goes on without Mikey, the more it becomes apparent that he really was the heart and soul of THV. There’s no show without Todd undoubtedly. But Mikey was always the secret ingredient. I’m certain I’ll get some hate for this, so be it… Where THV has always struggled is the third host. Jen was an absolute wet blanket, but she was much better than Paige who is just loud, grating, and so much less funny than she thinks she is. If Mikey is gone for good, perhaps it’s time to put this show out to pasture.

I enjoy this show! I don’t understand why anyone feels the need to disrespect the podcasters. If you don’t enjoy listening, then why can’t you just move on? If you aren’t capable of moving on without saying negative stupid comments, that’s a personal problem. Be better!

I’ve been listening for about six months. I’m happy you guys have years of content to catch up on. Paige and Todd have the best chemistry and it’s fun to hear all the commentary on these films. Mikey pops in and out for the most part. He’s cool. I’ve been spot listening to the recaps of movies I’ve seen. Please give me the lore of what happened to Jen, please. She was so sweet (I still like Paige.)

If you’re looking for a podcast that’s hosted by super left wing feminists that get offended by literally everything then this podcast is for you. They go on and on for 4-7 minutes at a time making elementary level jokes that has nothing to do with the movie. Paige has to be one of the most unbearable humans on earth. She’s the type that’s always looking for something to complain/be offended about. They’re trying too hard to be funny with not enough actual movie review. The M3GAN episode I counted over 90 times they FORCIBLY said MA’THREE’GAN. Which wasn’t funny the first time nevermind the 90th. Mikey used to carry, now it’s a ROUGH listen.

It’s funny but I wish they would focus more on the movie dialogue and plot of the movie they go on these long tangents that having little to do with the movie they are talking about and it’s noticeably not as good without the 3rd host they use to have

i love paige and todd, don’t get me wrong. but i found this show via cult podcast and started listening back in the mikey days, and things just aren’t the same now. mikey brought so much humor to the show, and its sad to see him go. now everyone’s just talking over each other, and paige + todd have far less chemistry then paige + mikey or todd + mikey.

Listening on headphones and hearing them screech gives me a headache. Plus the singing moments are irritating.

I used to really enjoy this podcast, and I’m seeing a lot of people echo what I came here to say. Mikey filled a void the show no longer has — there just isn’t as much fun or spark in the pod anymore. The episodes have gotten shorter and don’t feel as engaging as they once did. When Jen and Mikey were around, it had better structure, more variety, and that balance of humor and insight that made it special. It would be great to see more guests — whether other horror fans or podcasters — to bring in fresh perspectives, new energy, and that random, fun unpredictability the show used to have. It just needs its zest again. I’ve noticed the same with Romancing the Pod, its sister show — both have lost a bit of that earlier magic. If you’re a fan of great banter and thoughtful horror deep dives, I highly recommend checking out The Pod Mortem. Those three are entertaining, sharp, and easily among the best horror podcasts out there.

The conversations are extremely meandering and (for me) the majority of the humor is the kind of juvenile unfunny stuff that most people grew out of in the 7th grade. Episodes have LENGTHY sections of Todd doing very unfunny jokes and Paige explaining social justice concepts that I learned from 2012 Tumblr. The backlog is even worse with less direction, less research, more annoying behavior, and generally some very loud and very bad takes from Todd and Clint. I personally struggle to listen to people talk about film when they clearly have no concept of theme, metaphor, atmosphere, etc. and there are MANY episodes of Todd saying a movie is bad because he shouldn’t have to think about what happened its themes to get it or because it didn’t have jump-scares. Also the Scary Scale is such a meaningless bit, I truly don’t know why they bother to do it, Mikey and Paige say every movie is as 1 (scary as GHOSTBUSTERS apparently) and Todd says everything is a 5-7. Truly why has this segment even lasted this long, there is never anything insight or interesting in it. I highly recommend listening to the Dead Meat podcast instead, it’s way better researched and the hosts actually care about the things they’re discussing. The Horror Virgin does have some fun episodes and good segments, but on the whole, it’s below average in basically every regard for me.

Man, I used to listen to this podcast all the time, especially when Mikey was on. But something definitely changed after he left. Paige is great, but the longer it went on without Mikey, you start noticing how the discussions become Todd just talking over Paige constantly and is WAY too into his own opinions. It’s just got to be off putting. I miss the good ole days.

But you guys rarely do scary movies, mostly just comedy-horror. There are so many good horror films yet to do.

I listened to your show for years and enjoyed it for years. The 3 stars given is solely based on the back catalogue. Ever since Mikey left you’re floundering. I’m 17 minutes into your most recent episode and just had to turn it off. You ramble about points in the movie but haven’t done your summary of the movie yet. Maybe you could add a little more structure to the podcast but at this point Paige and Todd are just two insufferable people telling bad jokes and talking about how much they wanna bang the actors in the movies. Jen was great as well but you had Mikey then. He was your linch pin this whole time. Hate to see a podcast I loved becoming slop but at this point it’s just not enjoyable to listen to. Wish you the best though.

It’s been a rough few years, and 2025 has been quite a motherf****er. Horror Virgin and RTP is part of my self-care. Todd, Paige, Mikey, and Jen are the best. I love getting a mix of film review seriousness and analysis with a huge dose of absurdity and laughter.

After discovering this podcast a year ago, I have been binging it most days. Whether I am planning my lessons in my classroom or driving Lyft to make ends meet, you guys have been my constant companions, and I will be forever grateful for the laughs and kinship I have felt in the Horror Virgin community. Truly, thank you for everything that you do, and now to start my RTP binge for the next year! P.S. Tell Mikey to get his butt back in there from time to time.

Im on the brink of no longer listening. If you guys could put a time stamp in so we could bypass all the rambling nonsense in the beginning that would help a lot. Mikey used to keep you guys somewhat on track, now it really all goes off the rails and your yes anding is not funny.

The humor and balance they had with Mikey is desperately lacking.Paige is smart and hilarious but often times she gets wrapped up in the supposed meaning behind the movie .I get that social issues shape your opinion but it would be nice to just have a funny review. I say that but she is genuinely funny and sharp .But Todd is unbearable he adds nothing and when he does have an opinion he immediately changes it if Paige doesn’t agree.

I wanted to find a good horror podcast but this ain’t it. I started listening to a podcast about one of my favorite horror movies and I lasted about 5 minutes. The hosts trashed my movie. And not in a good way. Granted some movies it’s fun to mock or knit pick but these people can’t grasp what makes a good B-movie. Instead, they sneer at it with their wannabe-elitist personalities that are full of snark and I find their voices truly grating.

While Mikey’s screwball energy is missed, Paige & Todd continue to bring the laughs, fun, and analysis that I have enjoyed from them on both the Horror Virgin and Romancing the Pod. With plenty of great guests, deep discussions in between the silly, and a warm loving vibe all around, The Horror Virgin continues to be one of my go to Horror podcasts. If you want a podcast that feels like you are having an animated discussion at the bar with your friends this is the pod for you! ( Sorry, Paige. This one isn’t as well written this time around.) Thank you as always for being a bright spot during my day as I listen during my work day. P.S. I’m surprised this hasn’t been a theme yet, but I think one theme suggestion you guys should do is Camp Horror month where we lean into the general campiness that the horror genres can provide and how it’s a genre that has lot of connections the LGBTQ+ communities. It would be a fun Pride Month theme and it’s my way of trying to get you guys to discuss the John Waters’ classic Serial Mom or even Death Becomes Her. Keep up the good work guys!

Sometimes you get really lucky and, after listening to podcasts for 10+ years, you think you’ve listened to everything you would want to hear. But then you stumble across a true gem that has a backlog of hundreds of episodes that are just pure gold. If you have not listened, but enjoy really funny people recapping good and really bad movies, this podcast is for you. Cannot recommend this enough, also their romcom podcast is fantastic as well.

Of all the movie podcasts I listen to, this one is my FAV. Paige, you’re amazing!!! The dudes are cute phone charms to your Razr.

Not as knowledgeable about the genre as shows like Exploding Heads ( plus they’re funny) 22 Shots of Moodz and Horror and Jay of the Dead’s shows.

I love this show I listen to this for a while like since 2022 which saying out loud makes me sound so old🤮(3 almost 4 years I’ve watched). Anyway 10/10 show, but where has Mikey been? I wish you guys can try to get Steven king on the show? Would love to have a feature like pigs blood or something like that. I highly recommend this show to everyone.

A perfect blend of humor, horror, and surprisingly insightful commentary. Even though I miss Mikey’s humor (he just ran to the store for milk and snacks y’all… he’ll be back) listening to Todd and Paige is equivalent of a weekly spooky sleepover with a group of friends—one of whom is bravely hiding behind a pillow. Five stars for keeping us laughing through the blood and guts!

My best friend had me listen to an episode of RTP 3 years ago. I was so hooked, that I started at the beginning of BOTH shows and listened through all the shows. Thank you for being a light in the dark days, and for making the good days even better!

I love horror, and I keep trying to get into this podcast, but the hosts apparently don’t have indoor voices.

I have listened to you guys every week since very very early on. This is a must listen pod for horror fans and newbies to the genre as well. While loving most all the choices you guys make, one you haven’t still bothers me. There are now 3 Terrifier movies and all hallows eve and no reviews ?? Just would love to hear you guys talk about it and more I’m sure I’m not alone. Can’t wait for killer ladies month let’s gooo!!!

Love the takes and views sometimes they wildly off or different which I respect especially like Lisa Franken and how she was shown and thinking Evil Dead isn’t a Evil dead movie but love the show

This was hands down the worse movie you have picked to review , it wasn’t even bad in an entertaining way like the other movies . Maybe this episode needed Mikey or 3rd opinion . Todd agrees with Paige non sense too often

Probably my favorite podcast. Am always sad when it is over because I have to wait for the next release.
