D Smith comes in and says the owner's colluded on Lamar because nobody made an offer and you guys bought into it. What D Smith failed to say was that any offer would have required giving Lamar the highest contract in history at that time plus the offering team would also lose two first round draft picks. That is not collusion, it’s just means there was not an owner stupid enough to make that offer. Speaking of Closed Circuit TV, my best friend and I go to an arena to see a Tyson fight in the 80’s. He says I’ll buy the first round of beers (two each) you buy the second round. He finishes his two during an intermission and told me it was turn. So I go to the concession and get 4 beers, put them in the cardboard carrier and start walking back to my seat. Thousands of people are filing by me. I get inside the seating bowl which is empty. My friend is laughing. I said what happened? He said it’s over, Tyson knocked out Spinks in 91 seconds on a body shot. So Yeah, I know about the Closed Circuit TV.

Folks! The show has aged and matured. However STILL a daily download throughout the week. In case there was a misunderstanding … haters don’t HAVE to listen.

Dan renaming The Big Suey hour because of Stugotz is wild!

If Jeremy isn’t a gay man he is certainly guilty of culturally appropriating them.

I used to love this podcast. It was appointment listening for me. It had become tired and repetitive. It’s literally the same show over and over and over and over. Losing Witty, Smetty and Billy Gill have definitely hurt. I check it out from time to time to see if anything has changed but, sadly, it hasn’t.

There is a reason why there are now so many one star reviews..Long-time listeners of the show understand. I can’t even imagine how horrible this show will be once Greg Cote is no longer a part of it. The only enjoyable episodes that remain are when Greg is in studio. Thank god that still happens. Dan preaches transparency, ethics and blah blah blah whatever else he rambles on about on a daily basis. Yet can’t even bother to simply explain what has happened between his co-host of TWENTY years and himself. The ONE thing people want to know about. He either has zero awareness of his own blind spots, or is just the biggest fraud, wanna-be “journalist” there has ever been, just like all the other gasbags out there that Dan hilariously makes fun of. He is literally them at this point! It’s unbelievably frustrating as someone who, like many, has been listening for years. The show is a disaster compared how it once was. Unfortunately, the glory days of the Dan le Batard show are long gone, and they won’t be coming back.

Zaslow is way better for the show than Stugotz, hope he never returns. He turned his back on the show and fans.

Bringing baseball back

Lost its best people. Mostly annoying. Put the telecast on for background noise but just can’t do this show anymoreno matter how hard I try. Hurts because I loved it once.

I've been out as a daily listener for a while now, but I've been around enough to hear Dan lament how access journalism has ruined sports, if not society, a point I agree with vehemently. So I did tune in after "friend of the show" Dianna Russini was caught caressing her source on the roof of a honeymooner's hotel. Not only did Dan try to hide his cowardice behind the veil of not betraying a friend, he also proved once and for all that he isn't willing to be the change he wishes to see in the world. There is nothing to be gleamed from this man. Whatever legacy in journalism that once existed is gone. The legacy of speaking truth to power that once presided over this show has been decimated beyond repair. Greg Cote brought Dianna up because Greg Cote still has 'credible journalist' atop his resumé. Billy was smart to leave. Meadowlark is a failure. Maybe David Samson can find some dope to sell it to.

Ohh well forgive me, I’m Dan & I always get made to sound like a fool so I always try to change my point..

Chris & Tony, should just appreciate the jobs they have. The 2 Idiots were born on 3rd Base thinking they hit triples. The 2 thinking anyone cares what they have to say, is almost as annoying as Roy mispronouncing every other word. Can’t believe I miss the days of Billy Gil & Stugotz!

We invented football is classic shipping container/Le Batard. I love when Dan is the maestro … but it’s fun to hear the kids go rich man’s Mystery Crate on the main show. Thanks yall.

Stop trying too hard to be funny

I’m just venting into the void but I was a daily listener since the start of the ESPN days. I used to check out the Miami show on the big lead before that and was a fan of Dan when he would guest host PTI with the BAM intro. But this has gotten borderline unlistenable. They rely on Chris cote too much, I refuse to listen after what Chris said about lavonte David’s retirement press conference. Chris was making fun of a guy for showing emotion about his late parents supporting him achieve his dreams. Chris cotes only jobs were because his mom hired him and his dad is friends with Dan and Chris has the nerve to criticize Lavonte David for “babbling”? It’s unhinged that Chris could be so clueless about the real world. Anyway I just wanted to vent and say goodbye to a show that I used to love. Still can’t believe Stugotz stuck with Dan and left ESPN but Dan couldn’t stick with Stu and have his back with GBF and won’t let him do weekend observations. This type of stuff is not the kind of podcast I want to listen to anymore. See ya Gary

This was my favorite show for over 20 years and it has been over a year since the last time I listened to this show. I write the review today because Dan Le Batard’s recent appearance on Nothing Personal reminded me why I stopped listening. The handcuffs of Disney made this show great. The split from Disney and Stugotz makes it unlistenable.

I’m a Trucker and have listed for years. The show dice leaving ESPN has morphed into something almost unrecognizable. I get things change, and people evolve. However, the show has added so many not funny people trying to be funny and has gotten away from its roots. Such as Dan’s thoughtful social commentary for minorities, Stugotz constant scheming (hilarious) and really was the only one besides Billy and Greg Cote who’d push back (disagree) against Dan. Mike has ALWAYs been annoying as on air talent because he always has to be right, display how much he knows and comes off as whiney - even if it’s a bit. Greg Cote is always fun, Billy was mischievous (and funny). Even David Sampson is interesting with his reflection and critique of movies. The new bunch of guys gives a vibe of young frat boys trying to please the boss and be Zaney. Poor Amin is a good friend Dan because you have reduced his basketball expertise to a minuscule amount and predominantly he too is trying to be funny/whacky as a true friend and it’s not what we listen to him for (which is basketball expertise and some black perspective, as well as his African heritage or experiences via Sudan/New York). The show is too big. Go back to the small crew, have Stugotz (who actually has a nice speaking voice) drop in a few days per week, as well as Greg Cote, and Amin. Create a SEPARATE show for all of those other newer people. Current show is hard to listen to and episode titles make no sense.

I will not take your advice on clothes. You don’t wear Amiri not even Fear of God. Tony has way better drip. Luis has more drip and he’s not even on air. Cmon

Miss Stu, but he stopped working. Zaz is better and Samson is great. Jeremy is cringe. Show is starting to get back its rhythm.

I understand that things change and I believe in a person’s ability to choose their own path. But I think the name of the show should change to “The Dan Le Batard Show WITHOUT Stugotz”. It just reminds me what a poor replacement Zaslow is and how much I miss Stugotz and his chemistry with the crew.

I would like to listen more but I am so confused by the episode titles. I can’t tell what guests you’re having or what the episode will talk about. The episode titles are too meta. Please take a look at how Eisen and Cowherd have clear titles and descriptions for each hour, each episode, and please do the same.

Dan & Mike… less Zaslow pls! Zaslow is ruining th show, let him do Local or Corbin shows! He is NOT funny, don’t wanna hear about his house, kids or nonsensical accolades! More David, Jessica, Pablo-Adnan-Amin, Ten-Dade/day Tony etc. Dad: sorry about your Yard/house

I’ve always loved this show, but man has it taken a turn. Zaz trying to hard to be Stu. Krysta sounds like an animated character. David has to be the reason Stu and Billy are gone.

It’s a long fall off such a high horse.

Still a good show however, Dan anytime you have a guest, shut up for a while, can’t stand when you filibuster, but that’s what you are like with guests!

Now it’s just dan whining about sports media because someone is telling him stephen a conversations are interesting when they just aren’t. I’m done listening unless greg is on but i can’t even make it through his shows when samson is on. Oh and remember when dan would complain about how poorly ESPN covered ESPN issues? Well he’s doing the same thing with Stu and it’s pathetic

Podcast is borderline unlistenable with how intrusive and often ads are played. No other podcast I listen to (and there are many) is as amateur with ads as Meadowlark (I believe Cyntia is in charge of ads) Go to wherever they stream video for a better experience.

Wouldn’t say Amin is the best part of the show, or even the worst part of the show, but maybe he’d be more tolerable in lower doses.

Getting harder to listen to. Sonically (Jeremy’s voice makes me wish I was deaf) and content wise. The soul & personality of the show are gone. The smart cast members replaced with witless try hards. Ugh I miss the old show.

Amazing chemistry with the crew this week. Hit on some serious topics but still able to keep things upbeat, energetic and entertaining. Having the guest hosts in studio seems key for the chemistry. Amin, Dave and Zas work great together. Getting Foxworth back in the mix as guest host is my only note. Love the show.
