Tariff War
Greg Sargent leads a great interview. Although neither speaker noted that the president causes harm when he loses something, and he lost the Supreme Court ruling about his tariffs immediately before starting an illegal war against Iran, the complete lack of planning for the war, just like the complete lack of planning for the destruction of the (East Wing of the) White House, suggests that this new illegal action was him acting out against a perceived enemy.

Hits the Brain Like a Lightning Bolt
TDB is short intense and immediate. Every podcast brings something important to the forefront, goes deep and makes me think, or go follow up with an author or expert. I look forward to it every day.

Please Stop Playing His Voice
Much respect to Greg for this excellent podcastâŚbut FFS can you please stop playing clips of the orange turdâs voice???
Quote him all you like but you keep retraumatizing us every time you do that!

The ICE Halloween mayhem
This interview with David Karpf is excellent. Hope to hear more from him on your show. His analysis of how to communicate in todayâs media environment is very insightful. Thanks, Greg, for bringing him in.

Needs a clearer sense of purpose.
I appreciate Gregâs efforts and (low-affect!) passion, but, generally, among both hosts and guests â not enough information and substance and too much whining and rehashing (of news we already know, if youâre moderately informed). I understand the challenge of a daily podcast. Still, if I just wanted to have someone rile me up, Iâd use social media (which I do not).

Thank you!
I look forward to this podcast every morning! Thank you for keeping us informed and up-to-date! The biggest thank you is for keeping it real and honest and not pulling any punches with the reality of what's going on.

Lead riff
I know music costs money, BUT your lead in riff is sophmoric. Level up. Sorry/not sorry

Trump complains enemy within doesnât wear uniforms
You played the clip, but I havenât heard anyone express concern over DTâs fascist thinking as if the/his enemy from within should wear uniforms. Whatâs next? armbands, tattoos of serial numbers for his perceived enemies?

Good if you want a quick solid news hit
Greg does a good job diving into top stories. Heâs not pulling punches on the reality to save feelings. He gets good guests too.
GenXed
Straight-Forward, Old Fashioned Reporting
Seems like Greg and the guests he has on are some of the only actual journalists left in this country. No âboth sidesâ bull detected: simply calling out the fully fascist Republican Party and what the Democratic Party is and isnât doing to stop them.

Thank you for your great interview skills
Todayâs interview with Asawin Suebsaeng made my day. He ended by saying next time âmaybe I wonât be so angryâ. Donât you dare Asawin. Your tone and comments hit JUST the right pitch. This f#*+king moron president needs to be accurately described and thank you for doing it.

Stop the âmanâ !
Dear Greg, I like your podcast but for the love of God, Please stop addressing your male guests with âman.â As in, âHey, man, thanks for coming on,â etc. Itâs so very annoying and juvenile. Itâs as though your male guestsâ opinions are more worthy of approbation than those of your female guests. You donât address your female guests in such a chummy, âhey broâ way. Not that you should! Thank you.

Informative
Greg Sargent is great. I read him in the WA Post and was so happy to find this podcast.

Clickbait and False Advertising
I am so sick and tired of clicking on an âarticleâ to âreadâ and then finding out itâs only a link to an audio recording. Please identify âarticlesâ as audio, so we donât waste our time. Some of us actually know how to read and prefer it to the pablum being spooned into the ears of illiterate simpletons.

Best 20 minute interview daily
I look forward to this show every weekday. Greg Sargent gets such interesting guests and has the most interesting conversations about the current problems we face. He asks really good questions and guides the conversation with great skill. And the brevity is appreciated - he gets right to the point, no b.s. Thank you Greg!

Absolute best podcast on politics
Greg Sargent is an excellent host. Heâs knowledgeable and he asks question that are relevant and sincere. This definitely is my favorite podcast on the DSR network, and it is one of my favorites of all the political podcasts.

Awesome
Itâs amazing to have a succinct and daily hit of information every day. I donât know how Greg Sargent does it but itâs always smart, always insightful, always independent.

Excellent
Greg Sargent is my favorite interviewer of his well-chosen guests. I love his directness, honest assertions, and respect for the audience. Thank you for the format that really dives into each episode.

Divisivenesses
Itâs time to put aside all the hate, anger and craziness on both sides. We need to come together as a country of 2 parties. Put aside our differences and meet each other half way and concentrate on how we are all the same!

Blasts of Hope
Thank you for your weekday blasts of hope, not wishful thinking. If there is a corner of these dark times of MAGA threats where we can see a way out, then Glenn Sargent is sure to spot it and bring it to us weekday mornings.

Son
I have a son who hasnât spoken to me in forever. I never talk about politics to him because it is useless to do so. Ever since Trump has been running, the last 4 or 5 years, he hasnât gone out of his way to contact me. When we do speak, at the end of our conversation, he starts screaming about Trump and about how wrong I am. It is sad the media has promoted Trump brainwashing our families!

Sargent Has Important POV
I miss reading Gregâs column but love listening to the new podcast. His perspective is under-represented in the media. Heâs still honing his on-air interviewing, but Terri Gross wasnât polished year 1 either. lol

Please stop bringing on old reactionary relics like Carville
Youâre a supposed âprogressiveâ outlet. Carville thinks women shouldnât be too mouthy and that old white men are the groups you need to worry about most. He blames all the Democratic failures on the âwoke leftâ, but fails to see his own complicity in the erosion of support from working class. NAFTA, siding with corporations and so on. But like most old white men, they canât be wrong.

August 19th show
Really enjoyed this informative breakdown on the voting trends in the battleground states. Would love to see you invite Ed Luce and Mike Madrid on to discuss Mr Luceâs article in the Financial Times on 8/18 regarding the Hispanic vote in Pennsylvania. I live in MD and had no idea that the city of Reading, PA is now 70% Hispanic. Seems like a huge voting bloc available with correct messaging.
pdconner52
Great âdeviationâ!
Love the podcast every day but the 2 August episode was especially good. Really loved your so-called âdeviationâ into Stuartâs early motivations, which was fascinating and enlightening.

Kamala Harrisâs name.
Say it correctly Greg Sargent! Long A not short! You should know better!

Disappointing Interview
I was disappointed in the negativity about VP Harris in todayâs show with Elaina Plott Calabro. Gregâs multiple uses of the phrase âSheâs not . . . â rather than phrasing his concerns in a positive way just gives fuel to Republicans. The bulk of the interview was on what the VP canât do and the Presidentâs lack of care in mentoring her. Yes, the reporter traveled with the VP, but she assumes she knows everything about the VP and how the country views her. Wrong!! I hope you have a guest who can counter all this negativity, or you will just be giving the Republicanâs more for their campaign. I can see headlines now from them, âHarrisâs Biographer Showcases VPâs Inadequacies.â Do better, Greg!

Reliably unenlightening rant
This is a set of reliably unenlightening rants in which Sargent lays out a long-winded question that frames his argument on an issue then asks his guest, essentially, âDonât you agree?â Guaranteed to be a waste of time.

very smart!
always smart, insightful, thoughtful and unique. 10/10.

Host lacks credibility
Greg T. Sargent blocked me on Twitter for replying to his retweet of another political commentator with a mention of Joe Bidenâs involvement in the genocide of Palestinians. How can he have any credibility as a political commentator if his go-to move is to block dissent? (And my comment was not a criticism of him, his show, or the person he retweeted. I simply brought up Bidenâs Israel policy under a tweet about his fitness for reelection.) No one should take Sargent seriously as a journalist or as a person open to exploring a range of viewpoints.

Trump
Satan, devil, liar, bankrupt multiple times. Rapist, convicted. Birth control removal, no abortion, but not willing to put your money where your mouth is, no real news, horrible policy choices for normal people, but good for the rest riche

Strong and Succinct
The Daily Blast brings an insightful discussion to important issues. The discussion with Senator Whitehouse about lack of accountability for the Supreme Court was depressing. But it plainly showed the ongoing obstruction by Republicans to any transparency regarding the corruption of the right wing Supreme Court.

Opening music too abrasive
Love the content though.

Love the show!
Great show for daily listening! Good topics and guests, and Greg is a good interviewer. I do have to skip over the opening music because itâs just so harsh on the ears in the morning.

Very poor production quality
I tried to listen to some recent episodes but the production quality is so poor that itâs an unpleasant experience regardless of how interesting the content is. The audio is low quality, the volume of the speakers is all at different volumes, and the ads are startlingly loud and randomly cut into the podcast. Wish it wasnât so but itâs unlistenable.
