Wonderful podcast
The benign hematology talk was the best! Please do part 2 soon. Great speaker, great cases and discussion, and so useful in clinic.

Informative
Any podcast on updated treatments for opioid addiction? My son has addiction to heroin, started on oxycodone. The current rehabs are not working. Also he get so sick with withdrawal he ends up hospitalized with vomiting, dehydration etc. Any idea if these clinics in Mexico work?

Great podcast
I’m a professor for a PA program and I usually listen to this podcast and recommend it to my students. Keep being a blessing! Thank you.

Excellent
These episodes are always solid. The hosts have an uncanny knack for asking the question on my mind.

Another kidney boy fan
Always a great learning experience with Kidney Boy episodes! But I can’t help saying it… does anyone else think the nephrologist sounds like Alec Baldwin in the SNL “Schweddy” sketch? Regardless, I’ve been a listener since the start, and your insights have definitely shaped my outpatient practice. My patients and I are grateful for how you keep us up-to-date!

Great info
I am a PA in a surgical specialty and I love this podcast to keep up on general medical topics. The hosts are fun and ask the right questions. Keep it up!

High yield and entertaining
I’m family med and emergency med and I make time for this podcast. Love the chemistry of the hosts. Excellent cases with clear take away points. Very entertaining. I listen on the way to work (even after overnight shifts!) and feel like I am providing good patient care with recommendations from this podcast. Haven’t tried to get CME yet online but I plan to. Thank you!

Must need for all providers
I play this all the time in my car. Every provider needs to have this on their top favorite podcast.

Just want medicine need less politics
Loved this podcast but recently the sprinkled in politics and pronouns that have nothing to do with the medical cases are a bit jarring and distracting to the podcast. Please don’t speak on abortion again mixed in as ACP “updates”. Make it a whole episode if you want to include education regarding current culture etc so people can pick and chose what they want to hear not what you want us to hear. Loved y’all before you started mixing this in so regularly.

Love this podcast!
Only issue is that I find PW speaks too fast. I’m a native English speaker and sometimes have trouble understanding him. Otherwise, content and speakers are great.

Excellent
High yield content, very methodical approach to common primary care issues. My only complaint is that Dr Williams needs to speak slower and more clearly. He eats half his words.

Amazing but the new hosts are no good
I am a nurse practitioner in IM and have been listening to this faithfully for 5 years. I have learned SO much and will continue to listen, but the new hosts are quite boring and bring the show down in my opinion.

Cme
Great show. Only issue is the $10 per episode for 1 credit CME is a disincentive. I understand that a charge may be needed but subscription service would be much preferred.

Great stuff!
Awesome in depth talks including evidence based information. I am a Critical Care nurse that work along side our ICU providers and we have a system of getting patients to the ICU when they trend towards deteriorating stability. Your podcasts are always helpful and full of great information. Thanks you!

Awesome podcast!
This is a great source of information. As a practicing internist for 30 years, I find this information to be very clinically relevant and yes, at times practice changing I’m using a lot more coronary CT calcium scores with the seeing is believing attitude and tried the hum test and put my tuning fork aside after the episode on hearing loss.
sleep deprived listener
The new hosts
I agree with previous reviews that the joy of the beginning episodes is obscured by the new hosts incapacity to trigger my interest. They just don’t have it ! If Matt and Paul are not there , I dont even bother . And, It has turned WAY too comercial . . Paul and Matt, thank you for puns and years of learning and reviewing the beauty of medicine . No more curbsiders for me for now .

Bring back the OGs!
I used to listen to every single episode (sometimes multiple times - as the hyponatremia one with Dr Toefl) and even went to the live episode at the 2019 ACP meeting. Love the OG hosts, they are so much fun! Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the new hosts and they annoy me so much every time (rarely) I listen to an episode. They are just not fun at all (sorry) and have a bit of a condescending tone. Also, lots of adds and content for early learners (students?). Unfollowing for now but will forever love the early episodes.

Fantastic
As an Emergency Physician who never worked inpatient or clinic in my career, now back in fellowship for addiction med, I was desperately looking for podcasts to learn some primary care. This is the one. Thanks for the hard work

Uh, Um
I love this podcast but I feel quite distracted by the number of times speakers say “uh” or “um”. It isn’t as easy to stay engaged with the episodes and I find myself opting to switch to different podcasts or older episodes for ease of listening.

“The IM podcast” episodes are gold, but…
I’ve been a diehard fan of this podcast, listening to it pre and now post-residency to delve deep on important topics, get caught up latest guidelines, and enjoy a hearty dose of med-nerd humor. Unfortunately, the newer hosts drive me absolutely crazy with the “Um” and “like” and tone of voice that makes them seem perpetually blasé. The guests are still pretty stellar and the content still relevant. However, the intros, interview questions, and commentary have lost their shine. Unfollowing this one for now, but I’ll continue to repeat those earlier episodes for some spaced repetition! I recommend the ones with Hannah, Stuart, Paul, Cyrus, and the ChuMan or any with my favorite guest star Dr. Topf.

Great
Love this podcast. I’m in an IM-adjacent field and staying up to date on curbsiders keeps my knowledge appropriately broad. Plus, I love the jokes. The only distraction is how much “like” and “um” some of the hosts on the spin offs use…on those episodes, it’s all I can hear.
Hyponatremic
The Intro
I love this podcast but the intro is triggering for me. It makes me cringe. The fast talking to the video game music. Please consider updating in.

Listening for years
Great show. I always learn something and easy to stay engaged. I’m a PA coming back to the show after being away from IM for the last two years, and it has been a great to catch up/refresh, and work towards my required CME. I met Paul once and he was very kind. I don’t understand the people complaining about ads..: they are minimal and it easy to skip past them. Considering almost every episode is an hour of high quality free category 1 CME in a format I can consume while driving, exercising or doing chores, I don’t mind jumping over ads a bit.

Nurses at Kashlak
Let me start by saying that as a nurse for over 10years in the inpatient and ICU setting your podcast is extremely helpful in developing my practice….unfortunately not a doctor but I want to help my doctors more so our patients have the best outcome. Wondering if you could have a brief advice for nurse segment…maybe call it “Kashlak Nurses Station” “Navigating Nurses at Kashlak” “Krusty Kashlak Nurses” “Nursing Rounds” etc. thanks for all you do.

Great resource
I wish I knew about this podcast while I was in my FNP program. This podcast has helped to guide my practice as a new NP. I highly recommend this podcast for new or seasoned providers alike.

Most helpful podcast!
I have been listening to the Curbsiders religiously since PA school. As a newer primary care PA, I can’t express what a helpful resource it has been to go back and listen to specific topics. I appreciate the show notes and the ability to reference them in clinic after listening to the podcast. The structure and content of this podcast makes it helpful for individuals at any stage of their career! Bonus star for Philly-based hosts.

Obesity medicine episode
Paramedic here. What a fantastic and accessible episode from Dr. Fatima. Curbsiders did an amazing job finding and booking her. Learned so much and really think this will help me to contextualize the patients I see and some of the medications they list off. Thank you team.

Absolutely awesome!
I have been listening to your podcast since you were producing number 40 something and always learn so much! I am a pulmonary critical care dietitian who also teaches the medical residents, nurse and dietetic interns. I pull your show notes as well as share links to your podcasts with the ICU residents and staff as well as our transplant services as they apply to patient cases and diagnoses. THANK YOU for this as well as your family of podcasts!

Great conversational pearls
Love the conversational nature, seemingly unscripted. Wish there were some dermatology topics.

Excellent Podcast
It helped me diagnose pain pre-ulceration of the kissing ulcer kind. Very nice

Iron deficiency episode brought me in
Can’t wait to listen to more of this podcast. The information provided in episode #84 was invaluable and helped me understand more about why so many practitioners—even hematologists—are afraid of IV iron. I don’t think my doc would take kindly to being given a podcast to listen to, but I could share it with her without potentially offending her. Even with two IV iron infusions over three years, I have found maintaining my levels difficult because I have to wait for my ferritin to drop so low that I am non-functioning before an infusion is even discussed. Everyone is so afraid of iron overload.

Wonderful
I listen to this podcast daily. It is entertaining, easy to follow, and jam packed with great information. I have noticed more confidence with my clinical decision making since I began listening. Keep up the excellent work.

I love your jokes
…. & digestible material that is applicable to real life practice. I am able to take what I learn on CS then actually use it. I also appreciate the continuing education credits. Full package with time we’ll spent on my commute (have to take a break from serial killers / true crime drama sometimes right?)

No jokes please. Other material presented is great.

Excellent podcast for practicing clinicians
I am a nurse practitioner in a rural clinic. Curbsiders provide a wonderful variety of topics, providing practical evidence-based advice and pearls useful to many aspects of practice. The case studies are relevant to what we face in clinic or hospital. Their sense of humor is fantastic as well and I appreciate the depth of topic coverage.

My favorite medicine podcast
Hospitalist here. This is my favorite medicine podcast to review topics and stay current on medical literature- especially helpful as I’m out of academia and in a rural practice setting. Concise and high value content with an excellent EBM lens. Bravo!

Shame on you for using the term post menopausal persons. What kind of science did you liearn? Dont' you know that women menstruate, make eggs, and experience menopause? Not persons... WOMEN, i.e, mature girls. You are gone from my downloads. Shame.

BCPS Study Help
Pharmacist here. This podcast was a great listen while I was studying for my BCPS exam. Perfect blend of entertainment and practical knowledge/clinical pearls that I could listen to in the car, doing the dishes, or mowing the grass. Really appreciate the content this team creates! Thanks!

THE best internal medicine podcast
So grateful to have found these IM masters to bring all their specialists on line to provide a curbside for us all. I miss how physicians would be so willing to share their knowledge and this is not only educational but also feeds my IM soul.

Informative!!!
As a patient, this podcast is extremely helpful to understand medical issues. I have learned so much! It has helped me navigate doctor visits and equips me with great questions to ask my doctors. I love the case studies and hearing several medical professionals decide the possible treatments. Thank you!!!

Favorite med ed podcast
Been listening for years and referred multiple colleagues to this show. Informative, comical, and organized. They have amazing guests and hosts, the great makings of a great podcast. Their website is also phenomenal.

Great show
I’m a 4th year med student and recently have been binging the podcasts since 2016 to get caught up. You guys are great and hope you continue doing what you love. Highly recommended.

Excellent podcast
Really informative with very knowledgeable guests. The presentation of medical information is easy to absorb and remember. The conversational style of this podcast is probably the best way to learn and remember new medical information for most people. The hosts keep the conversation lively and interesting. Thankful for their effort in putting out this podcast. Keep up the great work.
