Laugh
That awkward laugh in some pretty inappropriate places by Tim continues to grate on my nerves. Not enough to miss the point of most of his points, but it’s there.

Bill Kristol
While I recognize and appreciate his expertise and experience, I do not enjoy any episodes either Bill Kristol. Perhaps his writings would be a better way for me to consume his work.
I find his verbal content to be overwhelmingly given in a parenthetical style— lots of “of course, maybe”, “I don’t know, it could be”, “ maybe it’s more this than that”. Just annoying to listen to footnotes, potentials, and side statements.

Love the Bulwark in all its forms!
9/15/25 Podcast
I love you, Tim. Thank you for talking to us, your listeners, today before Bill came on. My heart feels the exact same way. Thank you again.
And have Michael Steele on once a week! I love the two of you. I listen to your podcast every day. I count on it. 3/27/26

Best show out there?
I’ll start this review by saying that I am a Charlie Sykes fan, and when Tim took over, I gotta admit I was a little worried because I didn’t know him that well.
Tim has taken the show in a whole new direction, onward and upward. He’s a brilliant guy and has a delightful personality, including all sorts of wit and charm, and he’s one of the quickest guys out there. I sometimes can’t believe how quickly and incisively he responds to some comments. Anyway, the guests are almost always great, the music at the end is always well chosen, and this is definitely still one of my favorite shows.

Tim listen nearly every day, but ain’t about shadenfruede anymo. Not even close.
This was a waste of a show.
It’s what to do, although Clown show analysis is feelgood, it’s what to do.
And I know you’re giving the best perspectives on that as is maybe currently possible. Thanks & keep it up

Validating but rational
Love the show. Turn it on when I want to hear rational journalists, politicians and experts validate my take on national politics. What I don’t love: the constant criticism of short people. The past several shows have homed in on “bad actors” who happen to be short, to the point that it sounds like there’s a causal relationship. There are a lot of good short people in the world too, and the negative focus can alienate a whole group. Let’s stop focusing on physical features and focus on the behavior and choices of the individuals being discussed.

Jeff Goldberg
I’m glad you had Jeff on the pod, but boy he is hard to listen to. Very abrasive style.

Jeffrey Goldberg
Is an arrogant, boorish individual, who has a very high opinion of himself belying his own true concerns of his intellect. Try a little humility - although it’s unlikely to save you - you are exposed. Anne Applebaum must constantly laugh at you when you’re not watching. Tim - you handled this bombastic person with great skill - well done.

New Democrat listener - appreciate the sanity!
55 year Gen X Democratic Jewish voter who has never voted for a Republican. I have been totally abandoned by the left and my party. I have a new appreciation for centrist politics: right and left.
Thank you Tim and all your guests for being sane voices during a bizarre and scary chapter in US history.

Tim is a Rock Star; Bulwark a Lifeline
Excellent daily show and other commentary here and other Bulwark streams. You can be selective with your guests, Tim. Stick w Frum, Applebaum etc from The Atlantic - Jeffrey Goldberg is shockingly arrogant and not a good listen.

Your sense of humor gets me through the chaos
Thanks, Tim Miller & the rest of the Bulwark team, for making us laugh at this ridiculous Clown-show of an Administration while also delivering reliable, trustworthy news.

Just Tim
I can’t with the other hosts that sometimes are in this podcast and usually are in the other podcast of the Bulwark that I don’t listen to.
JVL, Sam, Sarah, don’t really have interesting points of view enough to “soldier on” through their flaws to listen.
Among other things they seem to be too worried trying to show they are “the boss” of the podcast and they never seem to like each other.
I listen to other podcasts where host have opposite ideas and they discuss ideas and interrupt each other badly, etc., but in the end you realized they do like each other and they do like their own podcast.
All the podcast where JVL, Sam Stein and Sarah host it seems clear they’d love to be able to have the same profit without the other hosts, but they never will, so they have to work together, but the result is not good at all.
There are too many podcast around to stay in one that has nothing special, not the ideas, or the host, or the guests or the interactions, or the jokes (Tim is good, the others should vow to never, ever make a joke! Please!).
Something else I’d like to write in ALL podcast, including the ones in the Bulwark but I don’t have the energy: IF YOU WORK WITH A MICROPHONE IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE, P L E A S E!! UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE YOU SOUND FANTASTIC, DO SOME TRAINING WITH A SPEACH THERAPIST OR SOMETHING TO KNOW HOW TO CONTROL AND DEAL WITH YOUR OWN TONGUE, RUNNY NOSE AND SALIVA WHILE YOU ARE SPEAKING!! MICROPHONES ARE WAY TOO SENSITIVE.
I don’t want a podcast to sound like and old ad where people sound weird and un-natural and always kind of “smiling” while they talk, but they all should have more respect and frankly more mercy with people when they are basically with their mouth in an earpiece inside people’s ears trying to ignore the sloshy sounds of the unmanaged saliva, the fat tongue always on the way, or the indecision between use a tissue or just let run whatever is inside you nose.
Yeah, yucky.
Maybe I should copy paste the last part in 20 other podcast!!

Controlled opp
You can’t be “pro-human rights” and choose to overlook the human rights violations of your in-group (especially when those violations amount to the Crime of the Century).
I took a long break from listening, hoping Tim would wake up to the moral dilemma he’s cognitive dissonanced himself into, but it appears my expectations were too high. It sounds worse now.
Best of luck to you, Tim. May we meet again under the full light of truth.

Straw Man
Tim, why didn’t you call out Enjeti for his Straw Man attack on Democrats? I enjoyed hearing his perspective overall but was astonished when he said that most Dems support violent riots. Oh, love your pod and listen from Mississippi daily!

Just a thought…
I get Sam Stein is a colleague (otherwise, I don’t really know who he is), but he’s so banal it’s almost painful to listen to his “commentary.” Perhaps for Stein episodes, round things out a bit with a third person? Just a thought.

Honesty
The Bulwark is honestly my no. 1 trusted source. I’m not interested in sugar-coated propaganda or people just telling me what I want to hear. I love the various perspectives. I’m just shy of addicted to Sarah, Tim, and JVL discussing/arguing. 😅 I appreciate the perspectives even more when they disagree. You’ll never catch them just agreeing to spin a narrative.

S Enjati use of the R word slur
Was excited to listen to the Enjati podcast but his use of the R word is a disgusting slur. I couldn’t listen to another word. I wish Tim would have said something. I assume there are other slurs that Tim wouldn’t allow on his pod - this should be one of them. For more info look up “Spread the word to end the word”

Tim Miller gives it to you straight
I happened upon Tim’s podcast when he was a guest on Pod Save America and I’ve been a frequent listener ever since.
As an out gay man, Tim always gives it to you straight. I like that he is very candid about his personal life, is not afraid honestly examine his prior opinions, and is often open to persuasion. He treats his both his audience & guests with respect (even the liberals) and is always prepared to intelligently discuss current events.
As a bonus, he has excellent taste in pop music. The outro selections are highlight for me.

How to dismantle cults
What did the oligarchs want during the first Gilded Age no regulation, no rule of law.
What do the AI crypto//oligarchs want today? Same thing.
But they should look to Putin to see what an economy with no rule of law looks like.

I love your pod and decided to pay to be a subscriber to get rid of the ads. To my surprise I still have ads. What gives?

ELECTION YEAR
I generally appreciate your thoughts and ideas, but I’m in agony listening to reporters “trying to explain” the war.
1. Unpopular president (felon) + election year = WAR!
A war is often used to force voters to keep current administrations (for “continuity”).
2. I admire and support our soldiers, but Israel (as you said) is leading the way with their strategic expertise. The news anchor has no ability, experience or personal judgement (💄. Admit that he is just another crony.
3. How do you think he is cheating to thrown our election? We know the obvious gerrymandering and unfairly deleting citizens from the voter roles — at the last minute, but this criminal organization will stop at NOTHING folks.

Pretty Hurts
I’m a newer listener to The Bulwark Podcast and have been on the fence. I was not sure it was going to find a permanent place on my daily commute playlist. However, the latest episode with Amanda Carpenter has solidified this show in my lineup. Big props to the person that made the decision to close out the episode with Beyoncé’s Pretty Hurts. No notes.

Love your show. ❤️
Tim does a great job and discusses relevant hot topics and has interesting and knowledgeable guests. Keep up the great work of keeping us informed. I listen everyday as I’m working away on the computer. P.S. Happy birthday to your husband! 🎂🎉 It’s my birthday today too.

Citrini Research Report. The Cliff Notes
In the unlikely event the Dems take back power in 2028 below is avalanche that will bury them.
February 22nd, 2026 to June 30th, 2028
"The unemployment rate printed 10.2% this morning, a 0.3% upside surprise. The market sold off 2% on the number, bringing the cumulative drawdown in the S&P to 38% from its October 2026 highs.
Traders have grown numb. Six months ago, a print like this would have triggered a circuit breaker.
Two years. That’s all it took to get from “contained” and “sector-specific” to an economy that no longer resembles the one any of us grew up in. This quarter’s macro memo is our attempt to reconstruct the sequence - a post-mortem on the pre-crisis economy.
The euphoria was palpable. By October 2026, the S&P 500 flirted with 8000, the Nasdaq broke above 30k. The initial wave of layoffs due to human obsolescence began in early 2026, and they did exactly what layoffs are supposed to. Margins expanded, earnings beat, stocks rallied. Record-setting corporate profits were funneled right back into AI compute.
The headline numbers were still great. Nominal GDP repeatedly printed mid-to-high single-digit annualized growth. Productivity was booming. Real output per hour rose at rates not seen since the 1950s, driven by AI agents that don’t sleep, take sick days or require health insurance.
The owners of compute saw their wealth explode as labor costs vanished. Meanwhile, real wage growth collapsed. Despite the administration’s repeated boasts of record productivity, white-collar workers lost jobs to machines and were forced into lower-paying roles.
When cracks began appearing in the consumer economy, economic pundits popularized the phrase “Ghost GDP“: output that shows up in the national accounts but never circulates through the real economy.
In every way AI was exceeding expectations, and the market was AI. The only problem…the economy was not.
It should have been clear all along that a single GPU cluster in North Dakota generating the output previously attributed to 10,000 white-collar workers in midtown Manhattan is more economic pandemic than economic panacea. The velocity of money flatlined. The human-centric consumer economy, 70% of GDP at the time, withered. We probably could have figured this out sooner if we just asked how much money machines spend on discretionary goods. (Hint: it’s zero.)”
