Opened my eyes
I never realized how much looking at ancient history could change the way I see things. This show has opened my eyes to a meaningful understanding of an original way. A way that God wanted us to know. Time changes things and our limited views of the present make impressive things into mundane things. This is one of my favorite shows of all time.

Worth your time
I first found this back in November 2024. I listened to all there was in that month, I couldn’t get enough. I love it. It has strengthened what I know and given me so much to think on. Thank you for all your study and research. You are an excellent presenter. This is worth your time x10. I go back and re-listen often.

Gratitude
So grateful that someone with such extensive knowledge would take the time to share that knowledge so unselfishly and graciously. I love how this pod builds my faith.

Thank you.
Thank you. I’m still in early 2023 but wanted to reach out and say, “Wow”. I love TRUTH. Peace be with you!

Calm tears of gratitude.
I had a friend recommend this show to me yesterday and this morning I listened to episode 1. As I listened (WAY slower than I typically listen to things because I wanted to really BASK in what was being shared!!!) I just cried calm, grateful, excited tears. The past four years have been unsteady for me spiritually and I have not succeeded in developing a spiritual study rhythm like I’ve had in the past which has felt discouraging. And then enters The Ancient Tradition. I could not be more grateful or excited (actually I’m sure I CAN be more grateful and excited…I’m sure those feelings will grow as I continue to listen!!!) about the work Jack has done to provide a guide and resource for me and any of us looking to understand truth. Thank you. I am so excited!!!!!!

Wow! Just wow!
I’ve learned so much from this podcast about the origins of ancient religions that impact world religions today. Whatever you belief and whether or not you are a member of a religious faith group, this is the place for learning even more about your own religion and many others. Thanks, Jack Logan, for your research and dedication to ancient religious tradition and education.

Love it!
I love everything about this show. I feel like I’m in a college class. She answers and explains things so clearly. I was recently visiting the Cody, WY museum. There is a Buffalo Bill exhibit and as I was reading through all the displays I came upon this quote by Black Elk, a Holy man of the Oglala Sioux: “In my twenty-third summer (1886) some Wasichus [white men] came who wanted Oglalas for a big show that Puhaska [Buffalo Bill] had. I thought I ought to go, because I might learn some secret of the Wasichu that would help my people. Maybe if I could see the great world, I could understand how to bring the sacred hoop [of our nation] together and make the [holy] tree blossom again at the center of it.” WOW!! There it was! The tree in the circumpunct!!!

I love this podcast as I study the language of symbolism. Dr Logan does an excellent job of breaking down complex concepts in a way I can understand and implement into my scripture study. I listen every morning as part of my inspirational study.

Let these ancient truths illuminate your path!
"The Ancient Tradition" has been an absolutely delightful and enriching listen! I first discovered this podcast back in 2023, drawn in by its insightful exploration of ancient theology. However, I must admit, there was a point where I felt a pang of disappointment. As the host discussed certain powerful symbols, which I deeply associated with the Divine Feminine. In the first two seasons, many of these deeply feminine symbols were explored without mentioning any feminine association with those symbols. At episode 8 I paused my listening, fearing the podcast might inadvertently continue a tradition of erasing the essential role of the feminine as a vital aspect of the divine. Yet, my hunger for deeper knowledge about ancient traditions eventually drew me back this past year. And what a fount of knowledge that return has been! It turns out my initial concern was a misunderstanding; the host was simply, and beautifully, leading listeners gently to the understanding of a Mother God woven throughout ancient traditions. The nuance and care in her approach are truly remarkable. To anyone listening and also to Jack Logan I plead with you: don't stop here! This podcast lays a wonderful groundwork, dig in even deeper. There are so many of us who are truly hungry for more knowledge and wisdom about the divine family unit, especially women who are seeking to understand more about their divine identity and boundless potential. I listened to episodes 8 through 58 in a matter of a month. And now I feel like I’m starving for more. Jack Logan wherever you’re teaching I need to enroll. Meg.Rittmanic

Inspiring and enlightening
This has opened my mind to many concepts. It has expanded my vision and enriched the purpose of life for me. I especially am grateful for how Dr Jack Logan’s work has broadened my appreciation for the connections that humans share over time and diverse religious practices. So well researched and presented. Enlightening - I’m hooked!
A friend recommended this podcast and I’ve been listening 1-2x each day. I’ve never studied comparative religion, but Jack L. Does an incredible job at tying in so many faiths in order to understand what our Ancestors once knew, and shared. It’s like taking desperate crumbs from the 4-corners of the world to reassemble the eternal bread of life we all need. Thank you Wonk Media and Jack!

Jack Logan and Wonk Media?
Amazing podcast. Too bad Jack Logan and Wonk Media aren’t anywhere to be found. Pen name to hide an LDS scholar? Fine by me, because it’s great content and maybe it’ll catch the eye of other prominent religious thinkers and influencers. Jordan Peterson often quotes Eliade as well. Let your wonkness shine!

Uplifting and Informative
I’ve listened to The Ancient Tradition podcast for several months and love the content. As someone who is striving to increase my theological knowledge, this podcast has been perfect. This is Hugh Nibleys, Temple and Cosmos, repackaged in a modern way and on steroids. Highly recommended!!!!

Thank you, Dr. Logan!
Decades ago, my original degree was in sociocultural anthropology and my plan was to study all the ancient accounts and see what they had in common. God had other wonderful plans for me but I was sad I never finished that degree. The first episode of this podcast (and many other episodes) brought tears to my eyes. Dr. Logan has done the work I wanted to do and I am so grateful she is willing to share her findings with us. I am giddy with every new episode and tell all my friends about it. I do wish I knew who she really was because we are meant to be friends. Dr. Logan, if you read this… find me. 🙂

Everything Old is New Again
Exciting, beautiful, and deeply enlightening! The historical evidence and life-changing insights Jack Logan presents here establish a compelling epistemological and cosmological worldview that refutes materialist and sectarian confusion. This podcast is a veritable primordial mound of creation! I love the presentation, the depth of research, and the accompanying resources. Thank you Jack Logan! Epistemology. The direct experience that others have with God is important evidence and a sound basis for understanding. If your grandparents left a journal detailing a coherent and elevating theology that God revealed to them and that informed their lives and led to them creating a good society, that would reasonably carry more weight than observations and speculation about the material world (science and philosophy). Even more so when the most forward thinking scientific theories comport with that revealed theology and everyone else’s grandparents left journals of the same revealed theology but with different life experiences! Cosmology. When you peel back the dogma and get to the heart of revealed religion, we all believe the same thing. There is one (high) God and father of us all. We have been fools over centuries to divide over differences. And now is the time that God is gathering all things in one. We are listening to one another like we haven’t before, reading one another’s books, and finding truth all around us. You and I are divine beings meant to create beauty and joy. You and I can become heros and royal victors who slay the dragon of chaos and bring forth a new world as we follow the beloved Son: divide light from darkness, establish a fixed point and firm barrier, prepare fertile ground, and robe in glory our new idea or new effort or new family or new solution or resolution, a manifestation of truth and goodness, a rolling forth of God’s great glory in the messy and highly textured lives of his children. When we get it right enough we will find ourselves (tumbling out of a wardrobe perhaps and) arriving in his throne room, surrounded by his love and amazed at the meaning in all of our experiences. As we move towards it collectively, as we become a people prepared to meet our God, the beloved Son will come again and show us how to rule in righteousness and peace.

A Jewish and Christian Perspective
I come from a family of both Jewish and Christian traditions, and this podcast has exquisitely woven threads of these and countless other faiths into a unifying tapestry. Jack’s fastidious historical archaeology more than proves to me that a living and loving God has guided and continues to guide this planet and everything on it. I look forward to continuing my “Ancient Tradition” binge (I’m only halfway through), as learn what this beneficent God has in store for all of us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Jack!

Confirming Truth
My wife and I are long time listeners from the beginning podcasts on YouTube. It’s nice to hear things taught by the Ancients that comport with our own long held beliefs and studies about our personal divine identity and potential as Sons and Daughters of the God of Ma’at; as well as the true nature of Him! We look forward to each new installment. Thanks to Dr Logan for enlightening us all!

But who is Jack Logan?
This podcast has saved me hundreds if not thousands of hours of research. It’s fantastically well researched, professionally produced, and the subject matter is…well, it’s related to the most important questions of the universe. I just wish I knew who Jack Logan was or that she had some way to contact her on the website because I’ve got lots of questions.

Miraculous Truth
Jack Logan is answering questions that I’ve been pondering for decades! I believe this podcast is a partial fulfillment of the prophecy in Luke 8:17- “For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.” I’m grateful for Dr. Logan’s passion and willingness to share what she has learned in a clear, mind-expanding way!

If this podcast rings true….
You really need to check out the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They believe in a heavenly family, preexistence, ascension, temples, ceremonies, covenants, creation - I could go on and on. They even have a boat story similar to the Noah one. Fantastic podcast!

Fabulous analysis
Dr. Logan’s podcast is a real “page turner”. Her analysis and research is excellent. Very accessible and understandable. I would love an interview with Jack on the Jordan Peterson podcast!!! For those considering watching or listening I suggest beginning at the 1st show and work forward. Thanks!!

Profound
This has deepened my understanding of my Christianity and learning of other faiths. I love that she remains neutral and builds on the connections between faiths. I’ll listen to an episode more than once and each time I gain something more.

This is what everyone is searching for
The worldview and paradigm presented here are breathtaking and hold tremendous explanatory power. This isn’t like other religious or historical podcasts. Like you seriously need to listen to this, everything will suddenly make sense all around you. Actually life changing. The information here is concrete, meaningful and helpful. Presented in a digestible way. This is what I’ve been searching for for years. The host has figured some really important things out

Enjoying the symbolism!
Some of this stuff I already knew (check out the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for more details 😉), but there is plenty of new stuff I have absolutely enjoyed learning. The lessons are densely populated with rich insights. This has been a wonderful listen! I’ve always wanted to understand the coronation symbolism better and am happy she spent so much time on it!

Excellent
I appreciate that she intentionally tries to stay neutral. In today’s world people often take a side or position and then spend their time defending it. I like that she is trying to keep her family’s beliefs and religion out of the conversation.

Fantastic
I’ve learned so much and it has helped me understand deeper many ancient teachings and practices from the Bible.

Changed my life
I was raised in a Christian subculture. And I have been dabbling in various religious traditions for my entire life. There’s something about all that that never quite made sense to me. Until I found Dr. Logan’s podcast. I believe everything she is saying is true. It makes perfect sense and it makes all the religious traditions seem so much more rich and potent. I’m so grateful for her work. I stand in all of God and Creation more than ever.

Obsessed
I want to be in Dr Logan’s head. I’m a full-time online student and stay at home mom of two small children but have had this deep and relentless hunger to study all of the religions to find what Jack calls ‘ the stubborn bits’ because deep down I’ve had a ‘knowing’ that all of Gods children’s religions are true. I have neither time nor resources for this study. I stumbled upon this podcast in a way that felt like grace. It’s a little gift from God to me to satiate my hunger. I’m soooo grateful for you Dr Logan! Thank you thank you thank you.

Expanding knowledge through symbols, ancient manuscripts and Dr. Logan’s superb presentation style!
Full Five Stars! Weaving together the stubborn bits across anthropological history to define the theology of God, could there be a more relevant and necessary work?! Dr. Logan: Thank you for sharing your seismic work. I am sure you have a layout of how the course will continue but I’d like to ask a couple questions that I would be delighted to see knit into your podcasts. Though current Biblical scholarship is slowly starting to help the larger bible-reading world to move away from the erroneous idea that Israelite historiography is unique and isolated from its Levant neighbors (thinking of Inspiration and Incarnation by Peter Enns), how can one take the fact that half the Hebrew Bible’s roasts Ba’al and reconcile it with the presentation of Marduk and Ba’al as the Beloved Son and Eternal Father? Though scholars have long argued the heavy editorial hand of the Deuternomists, even the earlier cultic religion of YHWH seems to be continually placed above contemporary counterparts like, say, the Egyptians. How would the splintering of the Ancient Tradition and the subsequent vying for “top status” that we see in the Bible, play out? I haven’t seen it as much in later episodes, I am wondering why you previously have chosen to rely heavily on the King James Bible? Coined by Samuel Sandmel, the term parallelomania has sadly been used to describe at least one of the scholars from whose work you draw. How would you refute this idea as not only irrelevant to the authenticity of the scholarship, but maybe even central to the theology of the ancient tradition, especially considering the limited epistemology of the post-modern world? I continue to enjoy the epiphanic and yet familiar content of your astonishing message. Thank you for sharing your work with us! -Lara אורים וְתּמִים

Really great podcast. Everything about the nature of God (and the gods) and temples is phenomenal. You don’t have to agree with everything to appreciate it.

Thank you Dr. Logan
I just want to sincerely thank Dr. Logan for sharing eternal truths in a way my heart has longed to hear them. Thank you for taking the time to put all of this together to share with us in your clear and organized fashion. I think you are wonderful. ❤️

Just what I have been looking for.
I love Jack’s curiosity approach to searching the ancient religious origin. I love how logical, honest and open to interpretation this podcast is. It does point towards a Christian viewpoint, but also shows some holes that are missing in the standard Christian/Catholic Church. I cannot WAIT for more ancient texts to be revealed and totally believe they will be in God’s time.

Truly Wonderful
What I love most is finding the Ancient Tradition out in “the wild” as I grow more familiar with the symbols and stories. My most recent “find” came the same night I listened to the episode on sacred architecture. I am reading the book Cry of the Ancients by Little Pigeon and Grey Owl. In it they describe the Mound Builder’s mounds in Ohio. They contain: octagons, concentric circles, central crosses and alignment to the vernal equinox. If you know, you know. Amazing.

Absolutely the BEST
I’ve been listening to this podcast for several months now. I am so addicted I cannot stop! Every time I listen and relisten and relisten my mind is expanded and I gain new insights. Every. Single. Time. Thank you so much! UPDATE: I thought she had ended the podcast and I was so sad. It was an actual physical sadness when I thought there weren’t going to be any more presentations. I am so grateful that she has uploaded a new episode. I don’t know what I will do if this podcast ever ends. It will be like losing a close friend! THANK YOU! The way I study the gospel has totally changed since I have made this podcast an integral part of my daily life!

What’s going on?
I have been trying to listen to this for a couple of months now and nothing happens. I hope this is just some technical issue because this podcast was very well made & one can tell that this person put love into developing this. I enjoyed listening to the story, our story, until silence seemed to have killed it all as it usually does.

A summary of life’s journey
This podcast is a summary of the journey our people have been on since the dawn of time. Jack Logan is so well spoken and has obviously done her homework. It’s easy to understand and mind-blowing to comprehend. I’m recommending this to nearly everyone.

The Limitations of Science
To the guy who called Dr. Logan “Fundamentally Dishonest”, I listened to Episode #2, and I must take issue with your characterization of Dr. Logan. In that episode, Dr. Logan clearly states that she “loves science” and “everything science has taught her” and that she “doesn’t want to throw the baby out with the bath water”. She obviously finds tremendous value in science and reason (which she clearly states and which explains why she uses scientific evidence on the program), yet at the same time she clearly understands the limitations of science- thus the need for spiritually acquired knowledge too- reason + revelation. Honestly, after listening to the full episode, I have to say, sir, that, you are the one who is being “fundamentally dishonest” in your portrayal of Dr. Logan. One can both love science and also recognize its limitations without being “dishonest”.
