Excellent! Thank goddess for these women that know the courts & the law so well to keep us updated on all the deviant votes against democracy/we the people perpetrated by the 6 criminal scotus members! I appreciate all the work that you do to keep us in the know. thank you!

Lawyerly comedy
Brilliant and super snarky-funny. Three of the brightest most insightful SCOTUS-expert lawyers bring ALL the snark.
How did you not call the July 27 ep “Fake and Nonexistent”?! 😆

Kate needs her own podcast
Love kate, she’s the only one I like. Melissa and Leah sound like gen x women who want people to think they’re millennials and it’s so so so cringey. Everything they say makes me cringe. Kate is awesome and I’ll continue to listen every week, but the other women are clearly trying too hard to be cool, funny and like-able and it’s just super annoying.

Difficult to listen to
Difficult to listen to for several reasons:
I would be much more able to follow if it didn’t seem like I’m listening at 3x speed.
Second, I understand the significant problems, but I need to hear it in a less “humorous”, more factual way.

I LOVE their passion and humor!
I’m a new listener to this podcast but I have to say how great it is to hear 3 really smart women talking about what has been happening at the Supreme Court since Donald Trump returned to office with a conservative super-majority on the bench. I can’t get enough of their frank conversation and opinions of all that’s going on. I appreciate them also calling attention to things happening in lower courts and state courts that could affect the cases likely to end up at SCOTUS. Highly recommend this podcast!

Love learning from them
I have learned so much about what is happening at the Supreme Court from these folks. I often listen twice to make sure I understand the situation and remember the references. I do not enjoy the frequent demeaning comments about conservatives and like others, I wish i could recommend listening to my conservative friends—but I know they would hear it as liberal condescension and mean-spiritedness.

Disappointing
Extremely one sided. I am a lifelong liberal Democrat but this is ridiculous!

a sad podcast
They would do well to heed the advice of their former boss. See Jeffery Sutton, The Essential Scalia, Introduction (describing how to be civil).

Knowledgeable, but self defeating.
I have been listening to this show for almost two years. I was looking for alternative perspectives on legal issues. The hosts are clearly knowledgeable about progressive legal theories and they know the law. Kate in particular is an excellent resource.
However they do not restrain their worst impulses. Too often the episodes descend into petty and petulant sniping and two minutes of hate about people who merely have different opinions. There is no grace here, no tolerance, and no attempt to understand. Just seething rage that is becoming actively toxic to consume.
They have reduced themselves to pointless caricatures.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this show to conservatives or progressives who are looking to understand current judicial events.

If SCOTUS affirms it, then it’s not lawless
Trumps nearly unanimous @ SCOTUS, A nation cannot exist with every executive action subject to unanimous approval of 700 district court judges. District court judges actually ordering the President to exercise his power as they direct. Absurd. Good ruling at SCOTUS. The liberal minority on the Court discredited.

Informative but Off-Putting
It’s wild how they read the conservative opinions in a “stupid” voice. Like really? That’s the level of discourse?

Good Lawyering
I am so grateful that these three lawyers are giving real world understanding of the impact of the cases presented to SCOTUS and their wild decisions.

Deep dives and deviating dishes
Leah, Melissa, and Kate bring you the sharpest and most in-depth analysis of current proceedings within the Supreme Court. They’re funny, viscous, and substantive.

Quickly became a must listen I look forward to!
These women could be stand up comedians. Definitely a liberal bent to the jokes but they do try to be fair on the actual arguments, which are extremely detailed and smart. My only critique would be to really do the other side justice because sometimes it feels like an echo chamber
They cover every case and know these justices. A must listen if you’re a lawyer or politician.
elysianlight
Unfortunately limited
The hosts are obviously incredibly smart, but their refusal to meaningfully engage in good faith with the arguments against their preferred outcome is an unfortunate limit to this podcast. Nowhere is this more evident than in their most recent discussion of the nationwide injunction decision where they read the first few sentences of Justice Barrett’s critique of Justice Jackson’s dissent and simply dismiss it because they perceive Justice Barrett as being too mean. They never even attempt to address the substance of her arguments, which is a shame. Of course the irony is that Leah frequently goes off about SCOTUS being governed by just “vibes” but that ethos actually applies to the hosts themselves.
If you want to listen to a podcast that makes you feel better while you yell “yes girl!” then this is for you. If you want an understanding about all aspects of SCOTUS’ decisions, there are much better podcasts available.

Contributing to America’s Decline
The partisan hacks behind this show are doing everything in their power to dumb down their listeners and erode faith in American institutions. Their “analysis” is often little more than left wing talking points, with no meaningful effort to engage in good faith with different perspectives on law or the Court’s institutional role. In a time when America needs more civic education of the masses, this podcast instead transparently seeks to poison minds against one of the three branches of government—all because the hosts are upset that the American people, over the course of decades worth of elections, have rejected their view of the role of courts in our society.

I really want to like this show!
I’ve tried listening to this show a few times but something about the delivery just is not working for me. I think it’s too fast. These are complicated concepts but wordy legalese is read through at a racing clip in a nearly monotone voice and then not really explained. Maybe try either not reading the unimportant parts or (if they’re all important) take a sentence or two and break it down to explain what’s being said. I’m sure many of your viewers understand law the way you do, but some (like me) won’t- if you want this to be a broad based show that appeals to people who aren’t law literate, it could benefit from a look at the pacing. John Lovett ran Lovett or Leave it through an AI critique and it was SPOT ON- maybe try that and see what feedback you get. Best of luck- I’ll try again in a few weeks or months!

Please seek to be objective
Im unfollowing because I am looking for lawyers who analyze cases and the courts coldly and objectively. Here, the hosts have from the get go a clear bias and tone that informs their opinions and therefore clouds their judgement.

Funny Libs
This is a great show to hear libs who are not as smart as they think they are talk about policy disguised as law.
The one with the woman who thinks she’s a man analyzing the Skremeti case is a banger.

Please stop the bro attitude, sisters
I love this show. I love its mission. I love learning about what is happening in our country’s courts. However, I hate bro attitude and salacious jokes and it doesn’t make a difference if they come from fellow women. I can’t hear another allusion to balls (or d word), or jokes about our adversaries’ manhood. Please just stop. It’s not why I follow the show and it’s seriously off putting. More importantly, it’s made me stop listening to episodes despite the important information I’m sure I missed. I can’t be the only one. I don’t mind swearing or sarcasm. I do mind the locker room conversations.

Great Show
I have always been a fan of Malissa Murray. So I’m biased but I have only listened to one episode. Everyone on the show has a moral compass. Please keep up the good work. That Senator from Louisiana got a nerve putting pressure on something someone has said. Keep pushing ahead. Thank you!

Smart Insightful Women Telling Truth
I never miss an episode. The hosts know the law, understand the Constitution and think sociologically. They make me and I learn something every time.

I love these ladies! They have found a perfect balance between entertainment & education. I always feel smarter after this show & a bit happier despite the chaos right now.

Bad Faith
This podcast is not informative but just partisan trash. Having opinions and biases is fine. But they openly trash the justices and outcomes they openly dislike. They do not engage in good faith. They do not try to see the best interpretation of those they disagree with. Honestly they sound like a bunch of resentful liberals, which is no better than the resentful conservatives coming out of the Dailywire or Bannon’s War Room. These people are educated, intelligent and reflective people. Their utter failure to actually be any of that for this kind of clout is even more heinous to me.

Can’t Listen Anymore
Honestly I used to enjoy the learned commentary from these three but I cannot stand the level of sarcasm nor the reading of opinions with imagined tones and inflection. Was literally just listening and had to turn it off. You are professional women and it seems that you could present your material as such. This probably works well with like-minded people. But if you want your ideas to penetrate with those who are not already on your side, it seems that you could trust substantive commentary to stand on its own. (I’ll leave Kate out of this criticism because she is generally thoughtful and respectful. Thank you Kate!)

Fantástico
Enlightening, educational, inspiring & infuriating! I listen every time a new episode drops. Kate’s performance at the Senate hearing was magnificent - after she made her first perfect mic-drop comment, Hawley just sputtered & was too scared to give her space to speak again.

Always a banger.
That’s it. That’s the review.

Unbalanced view of court proceedings and rulings
I was really hoping to find a balanced review and recaps of court proceedings and rulings.
Instead, it’s a hard left view of the courts peppered with ad hominem attacks, unnecessarily foul language, and whiney pessimism (sky is falling) when ruling don’t go their way.
This is all fine for a podcast. BUT, there’s no indication of this bias in the description.
If you’re looking for an in-depth view of Supreme Court proceedings and rulings with an informative, balanced discussion, look elsewhere.

Great Guests at Liveshow
Great listen always—really enjoyed Norm at the recent live show. Love hearing from lawyers who have been able to throw wrenches in Trump and his cronies’ plans.

6 Republicans Wearing Black Robes
Finally, there is an honest discussion about 6 Republican justices wearing black robes on the Supreme Court. Too many pundits dismiss the justices’ obvious right-wing political bias, and even recommend not mentioning their Republican loyalties. Yet their conservative biases are easily recognizable within their legal decisions.

Great Law Podcast! Great Book -Lawless How the Supreme Court Runs on Conservative Grievance, Fringe
I bought Leah Litman's book on Audible where she reads the book herself. I am excited to hear her pound Samuel Alito into the ground. The podcast is fabulous, wonderful, I listen to every episode.

Educational and sassy
I listen to every episode the day it comes out, without fail. I learn something every time, even if they’re discussing well-publicized topics. The lake of sass against conservative grievance is deep and wide, and I live for it. Smart women speaking truth to power is all I want to hear right now.

Read this book!! It works in so many ways. I got the audio to keep me company and alert while I knit. Perfect choice but not enough so I ordered the hardback for reading in bed! Love it!

OK Boomer
So disappointing to hear that evidently Boomers are the worst communicators, over-sharers, and least skilled managers. People are so different! Thank goodness that a generation is actually better than the last one instead of only thinking you are. Nobody ever felt like That before! There’s no way your generation hasn’t improved, are of course better and first group of improved human beings, especially with all the kindness and open listening conversation, truth and mis-information displayed on social media. Wait! That’s the bad probably stirred into the badder batter by Boomers!
Ageism. Have you heard of it? Maybe it is a thing, but what would a stereotyped Boomer know?
Have I told you about my toenail arthritis?

The Best Legal Postcast
My wife and I enjoy this show immensely and find it so informative. We have to listen together and discuss all the time. Kate, Melissa and Leah have great chemistry and are so smart and funny. A must listen for anyone interested in government, the law or the courts.

Love it! Give us a crossover!
I love this podcast and the coverage of the Supreme Court that it provides. It’s great to have a reliable source of information about the branch that other news doesn’t touch as much.
Thank being said, I found your despair over the dispatch acquiring scotus blog to be strange. I also listen to Advisory Opinions from the dispatch, and they seem to provide honest objective coverage of the supreme court’s cases, just like your own. I think listeners from both sides would benefit a lot from seeing a crossover episode between y’all and Advisory Opinions. I would be neat to get to hear the back and forth between reasonable and educated people from both sides of the aisle. Idk, just my unqualified two cents.
