New favorite podcast
Finally some relatable podcast content with two smart funny people chatting about anything and everything. Sam and George are charming and adorable. I’m honestly so relieved. I need this content while I work and they are providing. XXX

Todd Glass ♥️
To hear you guys talk with todd glass and all he meant in such a same way he meant to me because of how old and where I was when he came out - just amazing episode

Arrogant and wooden
It’s a bummer that the American fellow comes across as so arrogant. He reads in a wooden way and basically scoops scholars in his little lectures. He puts down the English chap in a way that is unpleasant to witness. Asa gay man, I was disappointed.

Heaven
I usually prefer it when Sam and George are alone (Patreon plug!) but the episode with Greta Titelman was perfection. The variety of topics covered, the laughs, the friendship, the recursive themes, the balance between our current moment and the long arc of what it means to be a creative human — I was in heaven every listening second!
TheSeasKnees
exclusively based on the superb 90 mins of greta titelman ranting over febreeze et al
it is a good podcast, ascended to outstanding status by virtue of these 90 delightful minutes alone. thank you

Brava
Oh Greta Titelman, the stepMOTHER that you are. The fashion talk was interesting. I felt like a servant waiting tableside on three rich people eating dinner. So immersive. Excellent podcast ep as always.

More Jo Firestone
I love this podcast already but the Jo Firestone episode is one of my favorite pieces of content I’ve consumed in the past few years. Please have her on quarterly or more!!!

Best of All
All the love to straightiolab. Have listened through every episode. Only note to management is that Sam and George remain professional and kind even when a guest (mostly the straights) is acting outrageously egregious (Adam Friedland). But that just goes to show how committed they are to being good hosts to their guests even though we know they could roast them.

please stop the malcolm glad well AI ad
This is literally my favorite podcast and it makes me so happy that Sam and George moved in the correct direction from their mildly edgelord early beginnings (I’m not kidding, it feels important, they could have gone R*d Sc*re and instead went smart and funny with right amount of cynicism) - but I WILL come back and leave a one-star review if I have to hear this MALCOLM GLADWELL AI AD one more time! It sounds like something they would make up as an example of something stupid on the pod.

Rest in peach
I love yall. Not only is there a new season, every gay I try to talk to about this g culture topic, as of late, is drugged and sexed out so hard that they only talk about what’s next and have no way of communicating like an actual adult. The pace is only about their exact needs being met and it feels kinda like these fruits are spoiling a little premature. It’s weird, but that’s what this libertine moment is demanding of the gays and their sluttiness. Glad I am removed somewhat. Where else are our people talking about about this anthropologically(?) Sam and George are, and are definitely worth the advertising with.

Fire George
If Sam had higher self-esteem, he would drop George and the show would be so much better. George is usually insufferable, but he was so rude and condescending to Atsuko. He should be ashamed, apologize to her, and stop podcasting.

Just love
Love these boys! George is so smart and thoughtful I genuinely appreciate getting to hear his thoughts during these PUTRID times. This and seek treatment are the two I podcasts that I will listen to immediately once they’re released. Favorite episodes are the first chaotic Max Wittert ones, Patti Harrison’s, Nori Reed’s, and any time Pat Regan is on - p much any time he is on any podcast it is my favorite of that podcast. lol

listening bliss
The high I feel listening to this podcast when George and Sam + guest are really in tune is exultantttttt. They’re so smart and funny and can sometimes spin off but then hearing how they pull the thread back in towards the topic is part of the joy of being a listener of this show <3 cultural criticism <3 <3

My Top Pod (Except Those Bottom 4)
Truly one of my favorite podcasts of all time. That said, here’s my personal bottom 4 episodes: Ilana Glazer, Jaboukie, James Adomian, and Ali Macofsky. If you're new to StraightioLab, skip those for now and (maybe) circle back after you're emotionally invested.

Losing the plot
They’ve become post post POST analytical internet pillcoded to the point where there’s no conversation it’s just spinning out over their guests trying to assert a sociological theory about a trending tiktok

Fun with expansive gentle freeing minds
Be careful watching this podcast. The added IQ points might throw you into a tizzy. Essential claims against reality are frequent playthings. Life finds itself. The best two best friends ever. Let them catch up before segments! Joy and a 35-thousand-feet view on offer here. Accept the gift of Sam and George. Also, this podcast is my answer to: “What podcast would you select if you only had one podcast (show suggestion for Straightiolab) to listen to forever?“

Debbie Downers
Maybe I picked the wrong episodes to listen to but in each they were not funny at all. The whole time they basically whined and sounded depressed. Sorry guys but you’re def not a ‘comedy’ show.

These boys? They got IT
Been listening since the jump and this has become my favorite pod I anticipate week to week I love George and Sam’s tangents and takes. There back and forth is so fun and also deep? wowwww what more do u want lol

Terrible Guest
This podcast wants to be Las Culturistas - but that’s easy to overlook most episodes. However, the train of unfunny GayGuy™️ guests makes this pod a tough listen. Especially the most recent episode with Dash Turner: he is SO DULL and mean in a cringe way. He basically bullied the hosts in the way that sad self-hating narcissistic homos often do when they realize they’re too terrified to reach inside and touch the softer parts of themselves. If the weird self-righteous catty-ness is a bit, it’s tired, but I suspect it’s not.

Is this it?
I just saw a twink punt a full bag of Popeye’s chicken onto Flatbush. That’s it right? I think it get it. Sad to miss the bois on the 12th. I’ll be outta town by the time that goes down. But tbh I think I’ve seen all New York has to offer. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Set me straight, so to speak.

Explicit?
Not labeled explicit and everything I listened to on this podcast had a sexual reference. EVERYTHING. Call a spade a spade.

Oops
Just now for the first time ever I looked at my apple podcast review history and realized I somehow accidentally left a two star review god knows how long ago. This was a mistake, please forgive. Sam and George make a terrific podcast here. Their evolution as they build the plane while flying has been hilarious and unexpected at times 💚

I had to write another review because the reptiles episode was so ridiculous and perfect
Thank you for essentially partnering with my Zoloft prescription to reduce my anxiety and existential dread throughout the day. Also I had a dream that I ordered a Diet Coke from George at a cafe and he was so nice. The blonde girl waitress rolled her eyes at me, but he didn’t! Glamour girl hootie hoo!

Guys…
My previous review said this podcast is better than all other podcasts combined. Sadly, I must rescind this proclamation. Had to stop the last episode halfway through because you guys, Bill Clinton famously owned a cat!! And Idaho is known for potatoes not corn!!! Still giving you 5 stars but I’m seriously fuming over here and not sure I can believe anything you say ever again.

A Win for Science!
Wow, I’m so relieved to have finally found a podcast whose hosts take their science SERIOUSLY. You can really tell they went to so much school for this and are true experts in their field. Straightness is *such* an exact science, and it really takes professionals who know what they’re doing to not only conduct all the lab studies, but also to relay the findings clearly and without bias or irony. So rare to find these days!
