Wonderful episode with David French! ( and the history of the autopen that followed)

Preet at his best has few peers. But, please, no more fat cat CEOs selling books and fielding softballs questions with faux humility, e.g. Lloyd Blankfein, a snooze fest if ever there was one. (At least Barry Diller was entertaining.) Different story on matters of the law for which Preet and his expert guests make for fascinating listening.

Three biggest questions of Trump’s war against Iran: 1) Did Israel war criminal Netanyahu force a weak Trump to bomb Iran? 2) Did compromised Trump bomb Iran to help Putin with oil revenues & Russia’s war against Ukraine? 3) Did yet another Republican President force US into Middle East war by manufacturing false evidence, or to distract from Epstein sexual abuse that incriminates Trump?

This was a great podcast! I enjoyed so much. I’ve listened to Preet for several years and he interviews a variety of people. As our country stands on the precipice of democracy or autocracy, this was a timely interview. Rahm Emanuel is a thoughtful man with an understanding of the critical issues we face in this country. As we say in the country, he has common sense. He understands the root cause of some of our problems but loves this country in spite of its failings. Thanks Preet for a thoughtful podcast.

No to Rahm Emanuel “Research we’ve conducted at Data for Progress, as well as survey data from other sources, shows Emanuel to be on the wrong side of many critical issues that Democratic voters (and, in many cases, the electorate as a whole) care deeply about. It would be a deeply divisive and unpopular choice, with serious implications for the administration’s political and policy future. “More broadly, our review shows that Emanuel’s record stands in stark contrast to the values and opinions of the American electorate.”

Preet, I know it one time you had respect for Todd, what do you think happened to him to make him a Trump lackey?

I looked forward to the yearly interview with Ian but the 2025 and 2026 were disappointing because the discussion gets sidetracked with personal views or anecdotes. Preet, listen to your wife’s feedback.

Love the guests and the timely analysis. Host suffers from talking more than his guests, and framing every question as “Do you agree with me that…” or “Am I right, or am I not right, that…” Frustrating. Ask a meaningful question and then get out of the way. Let the guests speak freely.

Which is Zionist and Israeli influence in the us. Pathetic.

Five stars for Anand Giridharadas’s responses and insights during the episode after Thanksgiving 2025. Preet should learn from thinkers like Giridharadas, The Nation’s Elie Mystal, Columbia University’s & former NYT bureau chief Howard French, journalist Roland Martin, economist & Harvard professor Celestin Monga, journalist Joy Ann Reid, Yale University’s Professor Marlene Daut, Howard University’s Professor Greg Carr, Emory University’s Professor Carol Anderson, ex-Citigroup economist Ms. Dana Peterson and journalist Mehdi Hasan.

You’ve done many great interviews, but thank you for introducing me to Anand Giridharadas’ work, especially this piece. Wonderfully done.

Thanks to you and Joyce Vance for your thoughtful, nuanced, and well-paced interviews and conversations. You’ve been a point of light and insight during this dark year that’s felt like a decade.

I love this podcast. It’s informative, thoughtful and full of great insights , factual information and excellent and honest ideas. I love the tone of the host and the guests.

Preet brings a wealth of personal experience to bear in ferreting out the days legal topics, along with mostly great guests. Actually I wish they pushed some of the more conservative guests a little more - particularly Ian Bremmer. But I appreciate their willingness to engage in the conversations. Highly recomend.

This episode was interesting - it played like two friends who don’t always agree just relaxing and talking about important issues happening around all of us. What I like about both of them is that they will not always cede the argument to whoever they’re talking to, but will always remain friendly and informative.

I really like Preet and his content, but it’s a little frustrating that very well off lawyers (all the people doing this show and content at Cafe) want $70/year .. which is a lot given what this is. Additionally, I have to manually delete about every other or third episode as it’s a total nothing episode that cuts off after 12-15 minutes and tells you to subscribe if you want to hear more. Like, just stop pumping the feed full of incomplete shows. It doesn’t make me want to subscribe, it makes me want to delete the show and never listen again. Listeners should not be subjected to this with this level of frequency. It’s like having spam in your own show feed. Its’ just not the experience one would expect from a host of this note.

About every other episode is a tease episode for members only, but he doesn’t state that on the description. Deceptive marketing that I find annoying.

Preet and Joyce provide intelligent commentary on news issues. Makes me wish I would’ve pursued a career in law. Great show for critical thinkers.

Am sad that now you have to pay for the interesting podcasts and only get a free 13 minute tease. After that you must pay. I miss the old days when it was free for public education.

Stay Tuned is a show worth anyone’s time. I find Preet astute, quick-thinking and wise, and I love the funny snippets he slips in with his expert guests. His show on Trump’s Tarrifs with economic professor Justin Wolfers so-clearly shed light on this topic. I shared this show with my two time-deprived adult children; which I only do for the best podcasts I listen to. Thank you Preet for being a uniquely balanced, entertaining podcaster & a compassionate human being.

The Word Crimes episode was one of the best podcasts ever. I feel heard, validated. Very relieved to learn there are others who both love Obama san while in a state of deep despair regarding his lack of following the objective case conventions for pronouns. Is there someone who could have a quiet chat with my beloved Mr O about this issue?

Confused. Liked what he said about tariffs. His views on billionaires are laughable. He’s for young people drinking more alcohol? He’s writing a book on masculinity and defines it as being “a provider”? Hope he’s in therapy. Preet should have challenged him more. Galloway talks too much and not in a good way.

I love your show. It educates me and informs me in a fair, intelligent way. With humor as well. Great. Today you stated how very tired you are of talking about DT. I couldn’t agree with you more. Your guests are really thoughtful, intelligent, inspiring and more. But, the constant talk of DT is tiresome and we all need relief. I can’t wait for the chatter to die down. The first time I heard Scott Galloway (I believe it was Bill Maher’s show) I was really surprised at his vehemence and non-punch pulling style. In our political landscape of one party doing whatever it wants and the other wringing it’s hands and screaming into the void, Scott’s voice, intelligence and unwaveringly and truly masculine attitude is a much needed interruption. Thanks for giving him a soapbox to broadcast his ideas, he needs to be heard. Love this podcast, thanks for the light it shines in a darkening world.

I am not an Attorney and am a very concerned citizen. I really enjoy this show as Preet and Joyce do an excellent job of breaking down the legal considerations of the weeks events in layman’s terms. I particularly enjoy Preets interview questions and Joyce’s perspective on issues. Always an enjoyable listen and I always learn something. Thank you for what you do and please keep it coming.

I was hoping for something more than Democrat bashing. Maybe some insight into what the country is facing and how we can move forward. I’m so tired of hearing the Democrats bashed over and over again and I’m a registered independent for goodness sake.

Preet not only covers the current politics with knowledgeable guests, he interviews people from many non-political arenas to allow our minds to expand and refresh.

This podcast is an indispensable part of my weekly listing. It’s articulate, intelligent, and highly informative. Preet ii the ideal host, and I enjoy virtually every episode . I also subscribe to The Insider, hosted by Preet and Joyce Vance.

Preet is a serious thoughtful guy. He doesn’t always agree with the folks he interviews, but he knows how to draw them out, make them answer his questions, and also explain their own. Always interesting and helpful in explaining how complex is the world we are in.

Yeah, go ahead and try to insulate your MSFT ticker price from the disruption of DeepSeek. Hoffman’s appraisal of DeepSeek is deeply biased, borderline fiction, and serves to inflate his investments. DeepSeek is open-source, requires far fewer data points, much less computational power, and clever “chain of experts” implementation that blows apart the huge monolithic, closed source models that American AI companies kept under lock and key to justify the massively bloated investments they take in. Americans have egg on their face. I cannot believe I am at the point in life where I am applauding China, but have you seen the Robocop2 world USA is becoming? AI is a job killer, and this admin will be a Social Security killer; what do you think happens when those birds come to roost? I think China is going to win out. And say what you will about the EU, Hoffman, but at least the GDPR aims to protects its denizens’ data from the rampant(and criminal) abuse of personal data that Americans are experiencing every day. Shame on you, sir.

Things are starting to get scarier politically, but this podcast seems to want to cling to the banter — lighthearted, humorous. I get you don’t want to appear too negative or upset, but I suggest the host in temperament try to keep up with developments and their pernicious effects, current and potential. Okay, schmooze and laugh here or there but don’t keep going back to that default. If you’re worried about recent developments — as no doubt are many of your listeners — don’t be afraid to show it. The host wasted no time expressing understandable anger at racism aimed at the ethnicity he shares. But all these unfortunate recent events affect us all, and will do so severely — especially if we don’t take them seriously.

Listening to Preet talk to Niall Ferguson it seems he’s only been taking in CNN, MSNBC, NYT, etc. Has he even heard of F.I.R.E. before? He clearly is uninformed for this discussion

Thanks for pushing back on Prof. Ferguson’s ideas/arguments. Some of it had me like… “huh!?”

If you truly cared about the issues you podcast about you’d stop sending snippets to us listeners of longer interviews then asking for money to hear the rest. Just have commercials and then offer a paid version without for the wealthy elite.

Love the pod but please stop normalizing right wing loons. Plus, listening to Shapiro’s voice makes me want to claw my own ears off. Focus! Back to basics, please!!!
