I can’t take the pharma ads
Interesting topics, charismatic hosts but the ads are just gnarly

March 13 episode needs audio hep
The March 13 episode should never have been released with such horrendous audio on first guest (Jonathan.) Was he speaking from his underwater cave? Sure sounds like it. Unlistenable.

I’m done this show sucks
I’m sick of racist atheist chuck nice and Neil’s forced laugh. Not even funny. Calls him self Lord. Blasphemous.

Hello
This podcast is a great way to learn interesting science topics while still having fun!

Love you guys.
Great topics, guests and very informative. The only criticism is all the guffaws. I guess y’all are happy, but it can be a bit annoying. That said, keep up the good works. So interesting!

Can be great, or not so great.
Depending on the subject matter, usually a great listen. Getting too deep into politics, sports, religion and climate change for my taste. Please stick to science. Please no more politics. Episode quality depends on how many gummies Chuck Nice consumes. Gets way too off topic when he’s stoned. Please, no political statements.

disappointed in you
you know, science should be for everybody. i loved listening to your show man. it made me think and wonder and that’s what my brain loves. however, i see one of your main goals is to push out people who both believe in God, and have a love for science. constantly your cohost chuck nice bashes and mocks Jesus. your latest episode is titled “your God is too small”. all you’re doing is deepening the divide between groups and people and adding to the division in this country. you should be ashamed of yourself. again, science should be for everybody and you’ve pushed out one of your most interested viewers 😞 thanks neil. and thanks “Lord” nice.

Fantastic
Thank you for discussing matters so meaningful in this moment.

Thank you for helping me explore astrophysics!
Im a 14 yr old nd ive wanted to get into astrophysics or planitary sciences for years nd this podcast lets me have so many more questions from things being left unanswered. I love being able to learn new things every time i turn on the podcast and its inspired me to do my own intensive research multiple times. Idk if you guys read reviews but one thing ive been pondering about is if our universe is inside a white hole? Ik white holes are mathmatically possible and it could explain the expansion of our universe if everything is being moved to the white holes horizon from the inside out. If this could be true, what would if be like if we made it to the horizon? What would that do to our galaxy and what could be outside of the white hole universe? Thank you guys sm!!!!!!!

The show’s Q&A segments are a highlight, where Neil answers real questions from fans. It’s a direct line to one of the greatest scientific minds of our time.

Kudos for Showing Some Love for the Planet
Did I hear during the 12/11/25 episode an ad from the Sierra Club, urging us to value and protect our public lands? Kudos! Fit right in with the one podcast that stands up for science better than any other. Now, if only Star Talk could stop running ads from the fossil fuel industry churning out the usual disinformation.

I love this podcast 😭
Been watching StarTalk (The YouTube version) for the past 5-7 years, along with watching Neil’s interviews and related stuff since I was a 10-11 yr old when Ice Age: Collision Course came out and loved him ever since. Im now 21 and started listening to the podcast because im older now and cant be havin the blue light get to me 😆. Cant listen or watch an episode without being infected with King Neil’s energy and lifting my mood with Lord Nice’s comedic charm and Gary O’Reillys tones. Love these guys so much, and I hope whoever’s reading this falls in love with them as much as I did!

good popular science podcast
The podcast covers a wide variety of science topics making it accessible to almost everyone with a high school education. Neil provides the science and Chuck (who is himself quite scientifically literate) makes it entertaining. What makes the pod great are the many expert guests that are sometimes part of the discussion. Sometimes though, the host interrupts their guests while they’re making their points. Please allow your guests to finish their train of thought before jumping in with another idea. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Keep the politics out.
Perfect show in every way except when the politics come out. It’s your show and you’re free to do what you want and you probably don’t care about one fan’s opinion, but this listener tunes out when the political chatter (let’s face it, it’s mostly Chuck and when Bill Nye is on the show) kicks up, this listener tunes out. It’s what keeps me from becoming a Patreon member. Stick to the science, save political discourse/hate for all the other loser platforms out there. Science is above allegiance to the Democratic or Republican Party. If I want trash/politics I’ll watch Fox/CNN/MSNBC.

I love the whole living lovely soup of this show!

I like Chuck
For all of those who say they don’t like Chuck or the jokes, I think they forget that the people making the podcast need to have fun too. Although, I do agree they could afford to interrupt each other less, I think they work through it fine, and it’s also difficult when it is unscripted. However, I enjoy the unscripted vibe, because it allows for better, more relatable answers from the people who are capable of phrasing an entire sentence withought a single word we would understand. If you want a strictly science focused podcast, there are plenty. But I am staying with this one, and Chuck, keep doing your thing!

So much potential
I love the show and the content easily a 5 star show…. But Chuck is too annoying, his jokes aren’t funny, and you can clearly tell NDT is fake laughing the whole time… I have no clue why Chuck is there.

Great podcast!! Sadly, The only format Dr. Tyson can be enjoyed in.
Any other podcast, interview and you’re guaranteed to get the pompous, arrogant and extremely cringe, irritating version of Dr. Tyson. Not sure why such an accomplished scholar still finds the need to prove he’s the smartest person in the room. The podcast is excellent because he’s removed that mountain sized chip on his shoulder that I’m sure is from his youth when he had to continually prove to classmates/teachers that he is/was in fact a deep thinking, brilliant intellectual that deserved to be where he was…..so yes, you get the best version of Dr. Tyson in my humble opinion. Chuck is excellent and provides excellent comic relief and at times brilliant insights. Guests are second to none and from many different fields.

Dumb joke attempts ruin a good show
Saw there was a free episode and liked the topic (quantum) so I tried it. Really good stuff from NDT but the dumb jokes every minute or so, were just too much. I have a fast forward button on my car, so it worked for the one episode but I must have hit it 30 times. I don’t know who the clown was, maybe a nephew, but someone should tell him he’s more annoying than funny. Not gonna pay to try any more episodes, though I’ll check in every year or so to see if the format changed.

Love content…wish there was less interruption
I really wish there was less interrupting of each other on the show. The content is so good but the constant interruptions when someone is speaking is so disruptive and distracting. It takes away from the intentions of the show and the education that’s “trying” to be delivered. Please consider this as an opportunity for growth.

Getting tired of chuck nice’s constant racial and political hate
Chuck can’t get through 5 minutes without making a negative racial joke or criticizing conservative people. Used to love this show but every time chuck is on, it’s hard to listen. He sounds hateful. Not sure why he can’t just discuss science.

I Really Wanna Rate 5 But Can’t
Please replace Chuck. His constant interrupting with jokes that 100% are NOT FUNNY really distract from the interesting material. It’s PAINFUL listening to NdGT try to finish his statements. Color commentary is OK as long as it’s very rare. But almost every statement is interrupted and almost every thought is derailed and then it takes twice as long for everyone to stop courtesy laughing and pickup where the discussion left off. Please consider replacing Chuck or eliminating the “comedian” element altogether. I beg you.

Too many cooks
I’m a longtime fan of Neil DeGrasse Tyson, but this unscripted series with everyone talking over each other is all but unlistenable.

Talking over and interrupting
It just prevents me from enjoying the content when such poor communication is on display.

Great show. Lots of interruptions.
StarTalk consistently features fascinating and accomplished guests. However, the hosts often INTERRUPT the guests mid-response, which can be frustrating to listen to. A clear example is the episode “Do We Have to Die?” In which the guest was repeatedly cut off. Please give the guests more space to fully answer questions and share their insights without constant interruption. Thank you for considering this important feedback. EDIT: I’ve noticed some improvements in recent episodes on “Emergence”!

I want to like it…
But the jokes sort of ruin it for me. We’re here to talk about space and science and the comedians repeatedly talk down about the material. Which is in itself laughable because what the F do they know. The knowledge that gave you this comfortable life is boring you to sleep, while you’re a guest on a podcast specifically about that knowledge? NPC ahh behavior.

A great cast
The rapport of Chuck and Neil is perfect. And Chuck just generally makes me laugh; he makes this podcast as humorous as it is educational. After RadioLab imploded 5 years ago, StarTalk has become my top science podcast. Thank you, guys!

Honestly good
I absolutely love this show but the 4D talk is a bit over used also the comedy is golden I recommend watching the quark episodes they’re informative and funny.lord chuck is needed for a long episode if there’s no guest

Love the content, hate the banter
I’d just like to listen to the science without constantly being interrupted by dad jokes. Makes it hard to follow difficult concepts

Great Show
I watch this podcast probably more than any other. I love Neil DeGrass Tyson and Lord Chuck Nice. Very educational, insightful, intriguing and entertaining. Couple that with awesome guests and you have the best podcast in the cosmos!
TheDugC
Why bring on guests?!
What’s the point of telling your listeners that you are bringing on guests if you don’t let them speak. Was really wanting to these the Einstein Paradox episode with Ms. Elise and the episode has been edited to where she cannot defend her opinion/statement or finish a point without some for of interruption. This his become and uncomfortable pattern. Unfollowing the show and buying her book. So thanks for the recommendation.

A Great Place for Big Ideas
Always love the show. Would love a year of episodes with you and William Shatner! The "Degrasse of Shatner" Episodes! Maybe your trying to tell a certain story of take certain journey. Regardless you guys alway feel like a great combination for the stars.

Let the lady speak!
The dynamic between Neil and Chuck alone works, but there are some brilliant guests that they unfortunately do not seem to respect enough to hear out. I’m trying to listen through the Elise Crull episode and I hate to say it, but it really feels like Neil just wants to hear himself talk! He is talking over, correcting, or invalidating most of what she says. And she’s trying to get into some really amazing stuff! Too bar
