A great cast
The rapport of Chuck and Neil is perfect. And Chuck just generally makes me laugh; he makes this podcast as humorous as it is educational. After RadioLab imploded 5 years ago, StarTalk has become my top science podcast. Thank you, guys!

I absolutely love this show but the 4D talk is a bit over used also the comedy is golden I recommend watching the quark episodes they’re informative and funny.lord chuck is needed for a long episode if there’s no guest

Great Guests, But the Hosts Won’t Stop Interrupting!
StarTalk consistently features fascinating and accomplished guests, which is one of the show’s biggest strengths. However, the hosts—Neil and Chuck—often INTERRUPT their guests mid-response, which can be frustrating to listen to. A clear example is the episode “Do We Have to Die?” featuring Venki Ramakrishnan, a renowned structural biologist and Nobel Laureate. Despite his expertise, he was repeatedly cut off as he tried to explain complex ideas. Neil and Chuck, PLEASE give your guests the space to fully answer questions and share their insights without constant interruption. Until this changes, I can only give the podcast 2** stars. Thank you for considering this important feedback.

Love the content, hate the banter
I’d just like to listen to the science without constantly being interrupted by dad jokes. Makes it hard to follow difficult concepts

Master Class
This podcast is a science master class that I treat myself to every time I listen.

Great Show
I watch this podcast probably more than any other. I love Neil DeGrass Tyson and Lord Chuck Nice. Very educational, insightful, intriguing and entertaining. Couple that with awesome guests and you have the best podcast in the cosmos!

Why bring on guests?!
What’s the point of telling your listeners that you are bringing on guests if you don’t let them speak. Was really wanting to these the Einstein Paradox episode with Ms. Elise and the episode has been edited to where she cannot defend her opinion/statement or finish a point without some for of interruption. This his become and uncomfortable pattern. Unfollowing the show and buying her book. So thanks for the recommendation.

A Great Place for Big Ideas
Always love the show. Would love a year of episodes with you and William Shatner! The "Degrasse of Shatner" Episodes! Maybe your trying to tell a certain story of take certain journey. Regardless you guys alway feel like a great combination for the stars.

Let the lady speak!
The dynamic between Neil and Chuck alone works, but there are some brilliant guests that they unfortunately do not seem to respect enough to hear out. I’m trying to listen through the Elise Crull episode and I hate to say it, but it really feels like Neil just wants to hear himself talk! He is talking over, correcting, or invalidating most of what she says. And she’s trying to get into some really amazing stuff! Too bar

“Can we fix the internet?”
Literally just don’t look at it. Problem solved. I’ve been reading so many books at the library since I stopped using social media and my overall mood is so much better… very very highly recommend…

Do yourself a favor, skip any “science” show by a “scientist” who stupidly claims “”science” is about concensus”.

Impressed
Love the Neil and Chuck team. I really have hard time to find anything to make me laugh but Chuck totally did the job, found myself laughing with them. Science totally made fun.)
Greedy magazine owner
Zombie Apocalypse
I turned this episode off a few minutes in because Chuck made listening unbearable. His comments were so unfunny and distracting, I took nothing from the information that Neil offered. Too bad.

Stop Chuck
Again, Chuck made a podcast (Zombies) with excellent information simply unbearable. Had to turn it off in the middle. If he gets a laugh, he believes its license to ruin the moment by continuing until no one laughs anymore.

World War Z and The Last of Us are 1: a great book and 2: a great video game But both are TERRIBLE ADAPTATIONS TO FILM

Wow what an intro!
That intro blew my mind! I did not expect that…but I’m not complaining. I’m writing a comic series and I think I’ll be using this guy when working out mechanics for the universe! (Ps, I love Neil’s laugh, it makes me so happy for some reason) 😁

Great Show
Funny, informative, and interesting. It’s my go to podcast for long trips, laundry, cleaning the house and my science fix. The comedy element is a stroke of genius. Keep up the good work.

Love !
I love this show. It leaves me hungry to learn more. I like NDT’s commentary and style with talking with guests. 1 small critique…. Chuck’s contribution & jokes are meh, less is more

Neil needs to let his guests speak
Neil is always making jokes about his guests Answers and not letting them talk - it makes it very awkward. But he has time to answer and no one makes fun of him. He meeds to work on being more respectful to his guests I have listened to this for years and don’t want to anymore the conversations are overdone by trying to be funny.
Neil let your guests answer
Love this Podcast
I’m learning while being entertained. Plus, NDG is my fave!

The show expands your mind
Really love this show. The topics are so fascinating. It’s especially helpful when they frame it away that makes it accessible and interesting to the average person. But they also do a good job of balancing deeper science. Neil is very human and approachable, and even if some of his, and Chuck’s, jokes are a little corny at times, that’s totally fine, as it makes it enjoyable experience. I always look forward to the next episode. Thank you for the great work!

Amazing
Great, love the podcast. The people that hate it sometimes have stupid reasons. Others have valid ones. Still really like the podcast.

Great topics but too many jokes
This podcast has incredible content and brilliant guests with a knowledgeable host BUT it is ruined many times by the pervasive jokes. Constantly Neil interrupts his guests just to make somewhat funny jokes. This podcast needs some laughter in order to lighten the heavy tough to digest material but the sheer number of bad jokes and interruptions really distract from the wealth of information these guests are bringing to the show. Please dial down the jokes so the rest of us can learn. Thank you.

I paid for premium to access new episodes early, but the last 3 episodes are all the exact same audio, with different titles. I doubt malicious intent, but why pay & receive nothing? Fix it!

Love the info, distracted by chitchat
Love the host and guests, but got tired of hosts trying to be funny and make jokes out of anything. No one wants a lecture, however, as someone who works at making nutrition presentations digestible, all puns intended, I would have liked the side comments cut in half. On the other hand, they are way more popular than me.

Comedy at the expense of science
Ahead of a recent roadtrip, I downloaded all podcasts in this series. The early ones were great. The later content caused me to delete the entire library. When the expert guests must keep the podcast on track, your sophomoric “comedy” has caused you to jump through shark. I, for one, listen for the science, not the inane babble.

Being There
Telling stories about exploring doesn’t get any better than when three middle-school boys, disguised as accomplished men, share their love of and respect for the cosmos and their passion to learn all they can from it and from each other.

Learning with laughter
I decided to listen to learn a few things. Didn’t realize I was also going to entertained with so much comedy. So great. Keep it up.

Chuck please stop
The topics and content is always so enjoyable but chuck NEEEEDS to please stop contributing. It is not funny and I can feel how uncomfortable the guests are.

Love the show but
Sometimes Neil we want to hear the guest talk. We know you are smart.

Advice
What is the point of having guests if they’re talked over and interrupted? Please let them finish their thoughts and let them share in the expertise in whatever they are here to talk about. There’s room for all of us to shine.
Stardust724
Neil chill lol
Love the show and Neil but I wish Neil wouldn’t interrupt so much and let the guests finish their sentences so we could learn more about what they have to say. That’s why they’re there after all…

Smarter
Thank you for doing this podcast. It’s so informative and funny. I always feel a little bit smarter after listening to an episode <3

Neil is awesome but….
Long time listener and had to write this. The yelling from Chuck is so ridiculous, talking over guest and he is just not funny. Lately I cannot listen to the whole podcast.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is beyond brilliant!
This podcast should be mandatory. He explains things in such an interesting way that even I can understand it! Big Bang theory!

One of the Best
Quite possibly the best podcast on astronomy, astrophysics, and science in general. Long-running too, so tons of backlog content. NdT is one of the best teachers of our time, making this podcast both entertaining and educational. After listening to this from the very beginning, alas, it’s time to say goodbye. Too many podcasts these days, and can only focus on those relevant to my work, so unfortunately this needs to be cut. But, if you have even a passing interest in science, you need to give this a listen!

Been listening for years
Neil is an unbiased objective viewer of scientific truth. That’s the highest place in the scientific realm. I do wish it was more focused on cutting edge research paper (citations), thanks!
