Stay on topic
I liked the podcast. Some seasons are better than others, depending upon which topics interest you. Season 24 is very interesting and unique. But, Ep 5 attempted to go down a political rabbit hole toward the end. Please stay away from extraneous politics, or you risk losing 50% of your viewers. Would hate to see that happen

OMG - the red flags are beyond the obv. WTH. Danielle should have realized what was happening prior to getting pregnant. That was foolish.
Just got thru the updates and it’s great Danielle made it to the other side and is happy.

I have tried to get into this podcast but it seems that it's just stories of people who have zero agency over there own lives. They complain about what they allow from others and sit in victim energy while telling their stories. I find that it makes me frustrated to the point where I can't listen anymore.

INCREDIBLE
The care Tiffany takes for each survivor’s story is so admirable. Impossible to listen to any other docuseries or true crime podcast. Nothing compares. Thank you Tiffany and team

Used to love this show….
The shows at the beginning were dynamic, multi-person story telling and interviews. New seasons are flat and hard to follow. Editing/sound has degraded over time.
“Pregnant persons” lost me. Saying ‘pregnant persons’ instead of ‘pregnant women’ strips away recognition of a uniquely female experience that is intrinsic to womanhood. Pregnancy is a biological reality rooted in female anatomy, not an abstract identity, and to detach it from the word ‘women’ undermines both science and the profound beauty of what it means to be a woman. We shouldn’t take identity from one group to give to another. Especially women. We deal with this enough socially as it is.

Change of tone and inflection
I love this show, the varying topics and issues exposed, and fist hand stories from victims. Tiffany is a fantastic interviewer and the team does a great job with editing. I’ve noticed a change in the tin, pace, and inflection while she’s speaking which makes me miss older seasons. Prior interviews and educating the audience felt conversational. But now the pace is so slow and annunciated, it feels gently condescending. Overemphasized. The kind of voice note you’d play at 1.5x
It would also be wonderful if there was a tone or jingle between narration of the show, and the commercials spoken by the host

Love your work! Thank you and congratulations!
I discovered the podcast in 2021 and so glad I did. It’s been great to the growth and development. I love how you handle these conversations. I’m very interested in season 24. I had an ex that was sent to an institution in MN as a teenager and a friend that was lured/tricked into moving out to Utah to do a “work study” type deal and it ended up being one of these types of programs. They advertised the job as an opportunity to learn how to survive in the wilderness.

I loved this pod until
The host discovered that she loves the sound of her voice.

Let’s go…
The actual substance of most seasons is interesting and you can tell lots of research went into the podcast. I really wish she would speed up the intro though. It’s very hard to listen to her talk for so long before getting to the meat of the story, hearing from guests, the actual people telling the story. I can’t even listen to the long intro anymore, I skip ahead.

Top Podcast
This is my favorite podcast. I only found it recently and listened Season 1 all the way through. The storytelling is captivating and bout trauma, but has also helped me put words to experiences I’ve had. Additionally, Tiffany’s voice is easy to listen to which is so important in a podcaster. I give my full support to the show & team

No editing!
How about an actual description of the show instead of a content warning? Wish there was real effort to tell a coherent story, they can certainly afford it.

Emotional but educational
Love the podcast and I can really empathize with this season. Please change the music though- it’s jarring and really a weird time given this is quite a serious podcast.

Great content
Love the podcast but cannot hear the bad audio in some parts, hopefully that gets better, only on season 1!

Season 24
In regards to Season 24- of course the journalism was done tastefully and the story was told very well- per the usual!…. My only comment is that the FAULT should be at the highest level. The owners of this birth facility should be held accountable. Unqualified people were allowed to practice there because it was allowed. HOLD THE OWNERS ACCOUNTABLE.

Less background info up front
I have followed your podcast for years and looked forward to your newest season. If you want to “hook” listeners to continue to tune in, please refrain from feeling the need to provide background info first thing. Surely there is a way to weave this info throughout the season. I want to listen but I’m twenty minutes into the first episode and you are still providing the background info.

Missing Consistent episode drops
I love how Tiffany creates a voice for the victims she has on the show and how she creates long lasting relationships with them. I think sometimes her intros are a little too long, but understand protecting her led from litigation. I also applaud her for not giving in to the pressures of Amazon. I just really wish the episode drops were more consistent, I can’t tell when a season starts or ends. The last two seasons definitely didn’t hit the same, but it seems like they’re finding their groove amidst some shakeups.

Absolute Fav!
My favorite podcast to listen to and been a fan for quite some time. I don’t know if it’s just technical issues with Apple but when I try to follow the podcast it only stays temporarily and then is removed from my list. Only issue. Either way I’m gonna find my show and listen every Thursday! 🩵

Drags on
I love this podcast, but the last 5/6 years the stories have been dragging. Last season was so insightful but disappointing at the end. All the ‘ experts’ the dragging on about professional opinions and not the story itself was a bummer..I hope that the change was due to Tiffany NOT succumbing to Bozos, and now that she is free the shows will get back to how they were. Proud of you Tiffany for not sinking to the level that our government and the wealthiest of our nation have. I have a feeling you will succeed even more.

I went to Casa by the Sea!!!
I somehow found so much comfort in being able to even listen to the 1st episode/someone else’s journey! I have waited a long time to hear about someone else who went through this! I cannot wait to hear what the rest of this season has to offer. In general, this is a really great podcast, thank you, Tiffany!

Integrity Over Money Always Wins
I’ve always enjoyed SWW, some seasons more than others, as with any storytelling podcasts. But Tiffany has always stood tall in her values, and now not going with Bezos and Amazon in an uncertain economic climate proves how real she is. SWW and Tiffany will always have my support.

LOVE SINCE DAY ONE!!
I am so proud of you, Tiffany. This podcast is incredible.

Integrity
I’ve enjoyed Something Was Wrong over the years—but now I will praise her from the rooftops. In a world where it’s easy to sell out, she chose integrity. She didn’t cave to Jeff Bezos/Amazon, and that says everything about her character.
She stayed true to her voice, her values, and her audience. That kind of courage and principle is rare—and it’s exactly why I’ll keep listening and supporting her work.

All My Support
I couldn’t listen to last season because it triggered my own nightmare at a Birthing Center. However, pumped that you’ve outed the bad in this industry! I’m sorry to hear what you’ve been dealing with Tiffany. Let me know how to proceed w monetary subscription when u can. I respect you immensely…

Good for YOU
Have loved SWW for years. I applaud your conviction in not being a part of the Amazon “network”. Your choice will come back to you in positivity and dividends!

Bad editing
I was already going to unsubscribe hearing that it’s no longer ad free, but I listened to the first episode anyway and the editing is bad. The first 30 minutes is repeated. It’s so weird. Is someone listening before it’s uploaded?

I want the old thing back
While I am still an avid supporter, I must say I miss the earlier seasons. The last several
Seasons have either focused on multiple stories or dragged the sorry line of one parity story. I miss the days when seasons focused on one particular story AND DID NOT DRAG OUT!

Still 5 stars, because the mission matters
While the most recent season and the one before it didn’t hit the same as much as earlier ones, Something Was Wrong remains a five-star podcast because of the integrity and intentionality behind it. Tiffany’s commitment to the mission of the show is undeniable. She tells each story in the format she believes best honors the survivors, even if it risks losing a few listeners who may be seeking a more entertainment-driven narrative. That kind of dedication is rare and deeply admirable. I also have immense respect for her thoughtful use of inclusive language and her effort to highlight disparities that are too often underreported. The heart and purpose behind this podcast still shine through.

Earlier seasons were great
I used to love this podcast and listened to each season. However, the past 6 seasons have just dragged on.. after telling the story and getting more background info, it just dragged on. I think it would be good to get back to some of the types of stories that were told. Season 22 I just skipped over after the first two episodes. I want to keep listening but it’s just not one of my faves anymore

Love this podcast and everything it stands for
I will always be a 100% behind this podcast. I am so in awe of Tiffany and what she does for survivors. She is such a smart journalist, crafts brilliant narratives, and always centers survivors first. Yes some episodes/seasons are better than others—that’s how podcasts work. I will always tune in

I’m saddddddd
I used to be obsessed with this podcast and even recommend it to so many. For the newcomers, the first few seasons are amazing! When it changes formats to different people each episode, just skip it. This most recent seasons, while I can appreciate people were hurt, it is sooooooooo boring. I’ve tried at least 4x to come back and it’s terrible. I’d say after the first few seasons move on to a different podcast.

Love the show
edited: I heard of this podcast from my other favorites and I really appreciate the realness that comes through from each story. I love to binge the seasons while doing chores, walking long distances, road trips and working during the day! I appreciate the changes to the theme song each season as I originally didn’t love it! You are doing a great job with this podcast and should never stop! Thank you for helping women with their experiences all the way around. I listen to every single one and will continue to support you from the Orlando Florida area.

50/50
Half the stories are great. The other half are basically women pairing up with disgusting men, ignoring every red flag possible, having kids with them and once the man leaves them, they come to tell their story. Come on ladies. Do better.

SWW
Tiffany Reese is truly an informed, tenacious and inspired journalist who goes beyond expectation, never failing to connect the dots- while most importantly creating a safe space for these victims to tell their stories.
Tiffany! You are a Godsend- an empathy warrior with a sharp wit and relatable sense of humor.
It is incredibly powerful and healing to hear these stories told in such detail with this level of care and consideration.
It gives me hope as a survivor that society is ready for a shift towards knowledge and understanding.
Shining light in dark places featuring the exploited and vulnerable, is the beginning our collective healing. Thank you from the depths of my soul for this podcast.

Please do another theme song
The show is great but the theme song is so goofy! It doesn’t give me the vibe of the show at all. The show is very much girls talking about serious tea. The song is very much giving the wiggles, kids tv show. I’m torn between continuing to listen and the frustration of the song being awful and mismatching. At least I hope after season 2 we change it up. You’ve got great taste in stories, maybe look into hiring for the audio theme! Sorry it’s true…

Pregnant persons?
You lost my as a listener when you say pregnant persons. Only women get pregnant.

Wow
First of all, I would like to say that I love Tiffany Reese. I think she’s an amazing podcaster and Journalist. I have listened to every single season of this podcast and I consistently look forward to new seasons. The amount of hate in the reviews for this season is absolutely mind-boggling. Tiffany has always allowed her survivors to tell their story. She specifically states that she does not necessarily agree with or cosign anything that they’re saying. She absolutely mentions that these healthcare practitioners who are not responding are bound by HIPAA, but that does not mean they cannot give a general comment. We are so quick to cancel people if they do or say a single thing we find offensive or differing from our own opinion. Can’t we give feedback without being hateful? Especially if you’re a listener for the last 23 seasons. I hope the participants in this season are not further traumatized by all the negative reviews left. They were seeking to heal and a place to tell their story. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to listen. Thank you to the participants and to Tiffany. As a nurse, I understand how many people are easily influenced by a fancy website. I think these stories are important for women that are pregnant to be able to hear … and clearly this specific birthing center was not operating to the safest standards.

Pregnant People? Really!?!?
Another sold out show where they cave to “men” and erase the identity of womanhood to cater to the feelings of a mentally ill individual. You are literally a pawn to the patriarchy in your pathetic attempt to virtue signal by calling pregnant WOMEN, pregnant people. Our identities as women are slowly being ripped away. And you’re more concerned with the trans identity narrative instead of biological fact. It’s gross. This show shoves too much “buzz word” ideology down your throat. Maybe consider your audience as well. The majority do not use or support that offensive terminology. We are WOMEN. Not cis-women, not birthing people, or pregnant people.

“Research”
I am going to have to agree with most of what DrDOBG and Shev said in their reviews. I found it very odd that some of these women are professionals, some in the medical field and the extent of the “research” they did on the safety and credentials of the midwives obviously didn’t exist. It was obviously a simple search after the fact to find the disciplinary action of one of the owners. And a woman that actually worked in a NICU that “researched” and still chose this path. Given what she likely sees on a daily basis, it equates to ignorance. Anyone that “researches”, takes a birthing class and works in NICU literally states “I didn’t know I had to be 10cm to deliver”, really makes me question the validity of her story. I agree that her story should’ve never been included in a story of an infant loss. I appreciated a few of the stories but also found some of the stories could’ve been condensed by 40 minutes.

Fantastic work
Every season is written and produced in a way that tells the truth from the survivors’ perspective, in a respectful, honest, and ethical way.

“Built to Birth”
Yet they start the episode and season saying “pregnant persons”. I’m not MAGA, or conservative, I just can’t take anything regarding the maternal healthcare crisis but not acknowledging *women* as serious journalism. We’ve been erased enough, study and put voices to our stories & for the .001% of those who find themselves pregnant and don’t identify as women who happen to see this, you are welcome & wanted & validated without removing the identity of women.
