Thank you all
Such important work done with such integrity, honesty and kindness. And big round of applause for refusing to be under the Bezos monopoly. If only more would be willing to step away… Please keep up the wonderful work!

Hit or miss
Hope everything works out with being independent. Some seasons are great others like this most recent, not so much.

Season 17 has me messed up
I listened to season 1 as it was released but then somehow forgot/lost track of this podcast, so I’ve been skipping around old seasons if they appeal to me. I’ll echo what a lot of others have said about some seasons being significantly better than others. I didn’t have too many issues with the reporting until season 17 and I’m flabbergasted. Why why whyyyy are you giving this woman Leslie a platform where she can act like a victim? That dishonors Jace, the actual victim, to allow the woman who failed him so profoundly that it resulted in his death to play the victim. She ignored flashing, neon red flags repeatedly because she was more concerned with continuing to receive male attention. Her son told her he was being abused, her son had injuries, Leslie knew her bf was a convicted child abuser and yet she continued to leave him alone with this guy. In what world is it okay to let your criminal bf around your kid at all after only 4 months? It’s honestly reported like she was so emotionally manipulated when the relationship was 4 months! She chose to ignore very concerning things and is absolutely culpable in her son’s death. She should be charged right along side him and lose her nursing license for failure to report as a mandated reporter. Everything about these sisters and their family is weird. That’s the result of religion. Of course that’s really not focused on; how religion and purity culture contributed to how naive and frankly stupid these sisters were to allow this to happen despite all of the red flags! And the stuff about the adoption…ugh. Allowing a caregiver to adopt him seems very inappropriate and I say that as a fellow nurse. The comments of “I don’t want him to die on my shift!” Were quite disturbing. It’s like she adopted him because she felt peer pressure? Seems like they did not adequately investigate Leslie before allowing this adoption as there must’ve been red flags with her, she was very clearly extremely sheltered with zero real world experience to let something like this happen. And the cherry on top is her reading emotionless from a script and occasionally giggling and just having completely inappropriate emotions for the topic being discussed. I hope the statute of limitations hasn’t ran out on failure to protect and she’ll still be charged or at least lose her license.

PREGNANT WOMEN
FINALLY “midwives” Kaitlyn Wages and Gina Thompson are being exposed as the liars and con artists they have ALWAYS BEEN. Also, editor note: the surrogate for Kaitlyn wages and former birth photographer/office manager speaking in episode 9 is not named “Brittany”, her real name is Amanda Gipson and I worked as a receptionist in 2018/19 under Amanda and don’t be fooled by her sob story. She is just as complicit and evil and greedy and power hungry and a complete BULLY just like Kaitlyn and Gina. She was horrific to me when I worked there and she should be held accountable as well. She treated me and moms that were patients there behind their backs like total garbage and would openly mock them after getting off the phone with so many of these poor moms in their care. She’s truly despicable and cut from the same exact cloth as Kaitlyn and Gina. Hey AMANDA where were you when I sounded the alarm on who Kaitlyn and Gina actually were in 2019?!?! Oh that’s right, you were in the mud with them sending me threatening texts and their signature cease and desist letters. You’re disgusting just like them and you never spoke up about the truth. BUT the host, Tiffany R, lost me at “pregnant person”, we will not be erasing women like this. DISGUSTING.

Political bent
I wish this show was apolitical but wow, I don’t think I can take this show seriously anymore after the latest episode I listened to.
WW2 kid :)
Amazing podcast, amazing host and narration, amazing advocate for women!
Big shout out to you! You’re doing amazing things! I went to look up Origin’s Birth Services to find out they have closed. My heart goes out to those mama’s grieving for the loss of their babies and experiences. I hope you find the courage to start again because motherhood is an amazing gift. I am look forward to listening to SWW!

Hey Julia, I find it funny that you and people like you think Donald Trump is so terrible, but yet YOU were the one who got sucked into a cult!!

Not all wilderness programs are bad
As a parent of a child who went to a wilderness program and an aftercare program, I am horrified to see that these programs are blanketly portrayed as punitive and abusive. It is just not true. My daughter had a fabulous, life changing experience and wouldn’t be the person she is today has she not been given the gift of wilderness. Tiffany-it is very disappointing that you would not investigate both sides. While I know that there were programs that were horrific, I also know that there are programs that are transformative. If you would like to give a fair and balanced approach to season 24 I would be happy to speak with you.

Thank you Tiffany!
I have been here since season 1 and am so thankful for the efforts you make for ethical storytelling, bringing awareness in each season while supporting and validating the victims. Thank you.

Fantastic podcast
I’ve been listening for about a year now. I can tell there are less patient people reviewing you (who are probably better off listening to dateline) But I just wanted to let you know I love the pace and I recognize every story must be told differently especially when victim is involved in telling it. I’ll continue to listen because you really help victims feel that vindication and help them regain their power and strength. Thankful for your show and I hope it’s always around for those who need their voice heard 💜

Season 7- SKIP
I love this podcast, but there is nothing that ruins one for me like a bad (for lack of better words here) story teller. These episodes were twice as long as they needed to be because Amy (victim) just BABBLES. Over explains/describes everything. I didn’t even make it through the first episode without yelling at my phone “GET TO THE POINT!!” multiple times.

From a previously VERY loyal listener
This show is a pretty mixed quality. There are some absolutely amazing survivor stories on this show, and some stories that are, respectfully, not it. E.g. the episode about gang stalking (not a real thing, that woman was clearly suffering mental illness and airing her episode felt exploitative) or that mommy blogger exploiting her kids online while complaining about the consequences of posting every detail of your and your children’s lives online. Or the episodes about that girl whose co worker seemed to be a pathological liar but the narrator was kind of just a mean spirited bully. I haven’t listened past season 15 because that’s where the sharp decline was for me, but even before then some episodes/seasons were very poor quality and content.

From a loyal listener, please get back to your roots <3
I devoured earlier seasons. I commend your respect for victims and applaud you for not selling out to larger podcast franchises. But I have to say, for the most part, the past several seasons have fallen completely flat for me. I’ve really struggled to get through them. I can only hope that it’s related to not having the autonomy you once did and things will change now that you have that back. After reading other comments, I see that I am not alone in this. I remain a loyal listener and hope that the stories and the way in which they are told become more like they were in earlier seasons. Thank you for taking the time to read, and thank you for all that you do.

Stay on topic
I liked the podcast. Some seasons are better than others, depending upon which topics interest you. Season 24 is very interesting and unique. But, Ep 5 attempted to go down a political rabbit hole toward the end. Please stay away from extraneous politics, or you risk losing 50% of your viewers. Would hate to see that happen

Season 9
OMG - the red flags are beyond the obv. WTH. Danielle should have realized what was happening prior to getting pregnant. That was foolish. Just got thru the updates and it’s great Danielle made it to the other side and is happy.

Helpless
I have tried to get into this podcast but it seems that it's just stories of people who have zero agency over there own lives. They complain about what they allow from others and sit in victim energy while telling their stories. I find that it makes me frustrated to the point where I can't listen anymore.

Love it!
I was looking for a new podcast to binge and i’m so glad I came across this one.

INCREDIBLE
The care Tiffany takes for each survivor’s story is so admirable. Impossible to listen to any other docuseries or true crime podcast. Nothing compares. Thank you Tiffany and team

Used to love this show….
The shows at the beginning were dynamic, multi-person story telling and interviews. New seasons are flat and hard to follow. Editing/sound has degraded over time. “Pregnant persons” lost me. Saying ‘pregnant persons’ instead of ‘pregnant women’ strips away recognition of a uniquely female experience that is intrinsic to womanhood. Pregnancy is a biological reality rooted in female anatomy, not an abstract identity, and to detach it from the word ‘women’ undermines both science and the profound beauty of what it means to be a woman. We shouldn’t take identity from one group to give to another. Especially women. We deal with this enough socially as it is.

Change of tone and inflection
I love this show, the varying topics and issues exposed, and fist hand stories from victims. Tiffany is a fantastic interviewer and the team does a great job with editing. I’ve noticed a change in the tin, pace, and inflection while she’s speaking which makes me miss older seasons. Prior interviews and educating the audience felt conversational. But now the pace is so slow and annunciated, it feels gently condescending. Overemphasized. The kind of voice note you’d play at 1.5x It would also be wonderful if there was a tone or jingle between narration of the show, and the commercials spoken by the host

Love your work! Thank you and congratulations!
I discovered the podcast in 2021 and so glad I did. It’s been great to the growth and development. I love how you handle these conversations. I’m very interested in season 24. I had an ex that was sent to an institution in MN as a teenager and a friend that was lured/tricked into moving out to Utah to do a “work study” type deal and it ended up being one of these types of programs. They advertised the job as an opportunity to learn how to survive in the wilderness.

What?
I loved this pod until The host discovered that she loves the sound of her voice.

Let’s go…
The actual substance of most seasons is interesting and you can tell lots of research went into the podcast. I really wish she would speed up the intro though. It’s very hard to listen to her talk for so long before getting to the meat of the story, hearing from guests, the actual people telling the story. I can’t even listen to the long intro anymore, I skip ahead.

Top Podcast
This is my favorite podcast. I only found it recently and listened Season 1 all the way through. The storytelling is captivating and bout trauma, but has also helped me put words to experiences I’ve had. Additionally, Tiffany’s voice is easy to listen to which is so important in a podcaster. I give my full support to the show & team
@Kimrichards.npc
No editing!
How about an actual description of the show instead of a content warning? Wish there was real effort to tell a coherent story, they can certainly afford it.

Emotional but educational
Love the podcast and I can really empathize with this season. Please change the music though- it’s jarring and really a weird time given this is quite a serious podcast.

Great content
Love the podcast but cannot hear the bad audio in some parts, hopefully that gets better, only on season 1!

Season 24
In regards to Season 24- of course the journalism was done tastefully and the story was told very well- per the usual!…. My only comment is that the FAULT should be at the highest level. The owners of this birth facility should be held accountable. Unqualified people were allowed to practice there because it was allowed. HOLD THE OWNERS ACCOUNTABLE.

Less background info up front
I have followed your podcast for years and looked forward to your newest season. If you want to “hook” listeners to continue to tune in, please refrain from feeling the need to provide background info first thing. Surely there is a way to weave this info throughout the season. I want to listen but I’m twenty minutes into the first episode and you are still providing the background info.

Missing Consistent episode drops
I love how Tiffany creates a voice for the victims she has on the show and how she creates long lasting relationships with them. I think sometimes her intros are a little too long, but understand protecting her led from litigation. I also applaud her for not giving in to the pressures of Amazon. I just really wish the episode drops were more consistent, I can’t tell when a season starts or ends. The last two seasons definitely didn’t hit the same, but it seems like they’re finding their groove amidst some shakeups.

Absolute Fav!
My favorite podcast to listen to and been a fan for quite some time. I don’t know if it’s just technical issues with Apple but when I try to follow the podcast it only stays temporarily and then is removed from my list. Only issue. Either way I’m gonna find my show and listen every Thursday! 🩵

Drags on
I love this podcast, but the last 5/6 years the stories have been dragging. Last season was so insightful but disappointing at the end. All the ‘ experts’ the dragging on about professional opinions and not the story itself was a bummer..I hope that the change was due to Tiffany NOT succumbing to Bozos, and now that she is free the shows will get back to how they were. Proud of you Tiffany for not sinking to the level that our government and the wealthiest of our nation have. I have a feeling you will succeed even more.

I went to Casa by the Sea!!!
I somehow found so much comfort in being able to even listen to the 1st episode/someone else’s journey! I have waited a long time to hear about someone else who went through this! I cannot wait to hear what the rest of this season has to offer. In general, this is a really great podcast, thank you, Tiffany!

Integrity Over Money Always Wins
I’ve always enjoyed SWW, some seasons more than others, as with any storytelling podcasts. But Tiffany has always stood tall in her values, and now not going with Bezos and Amazon in an uncertain economic climate proves how real she is. SWW and Tiffany will always have my support.

LOVE SINCE DAY ONE!!
I am so proud of you, Tiffany. This podcast is incredible.

Integrity
I’ve enjoyed Something Was Wrong over the years—but now I will praise her from the rooftops. In a world where it’s easy to sell out, she chose integrity. She didn’t cave to Jeff Bezos/Amazon, and that says everything about her character. She stayed true to her voice, her values, and her audience. That kind of courage and principle is rare—and it’s exactly why I’ll keep listening and supporting her work.

All My Support
I couldn’t listen to last season because it triggered my own nightmare at a Birthing Center. However, pumped that you’ve outed the bad in this industry! I’m sorry to hear what you’ve been dealing with Tiffany. Let me know how to proceed w monetary subscription when u can. I respect you immensely…

Good for YOU
Have loved SWW for years. I applaud your conviction in not being a part of the Amazon “network”. Your choice will come back to you in positivity and dividends!

Bad editing
I was already going to unsubscribe hearing that it’s no longer ad free, but I listened to the first episode anyway and the editing is bad. The first 30 minutes is repeated. It’s so weird. Is someone listening before it’s uploaded?

I want the old thing back
While I am still an avid supporter, I must say I miss the earlier seasons. The last several Seasons have either focused on multiple stories or dragged the sorry line of one parity story. I miss the days when seasons focused on one particular story AND DID NOT DRAG OUT!
JayWard7
Still 5 stars, because the mission matters
While the most recent season and the one before it didn’t hit the same as much as earlier ones, Something Was Wrong remains a five-star podcast because of the integrity and intentionality behind it. Tiffany’s commitment to the mission of the show is undeniable. She tells each story in the format she believes best honors the survivors, even if it risks losing a few listeners who may be seeking a more entertainment-driven narrative. That kind of dedication is rare and deeply admirable. I also have immense respect for her thoughtful use of inclusive language and her effort to highlight disparities that are too often underreported. The heart and purpose behind this podcast still shine through.
