Great show but some of the stories do not match their titles

plz don’t let these reviews stop you from listening. if you’re into true crime you’ll enjoy the podcast. like every other podcast out there, it’s commercials, human error (titles not matching 100%), etc. truly has not ruined my experience, the creators of the show are human lol.

Love listening day and night one of my top 5 podcasts I fall asleep listening to true crime and this is one of my favorites to listen to falling asleep

I feel it’s in poor taste to have sound effects like the victim screaming in the background when it’s just for effect. Back off and just tell the story.

Overall very informative. I would suggest listening at 1.25 speed to make the narrator less annoying.

I would love to listen to this show and have tried many times. I cannot get beyond the first minute - the narrator (whoever it is) is BEYOND annoying. Is every show narrated by the same person? Why?!?!

I cannot even hear the story, as the background music is technically the main event. I was giving this podcast a try, but not going to even finish one episode.

All of the sound effects & music are a bit much, but the content is great.

Please, we like the podcast, but not for that voice. Just like some reality shows that are popular for show and host is blah, but producers must get wrong message. It’s time for a normal voice here. Not even appropriate for subject matter

Love this podcast but I’ve recently listened to podcasts where the title of the show does not match the people involved in the story and the update at the end does not match the story I just listened to. Please double check your titles with the content. The William Davis episode I just clicked on was not about William Davis.

Music is WAY to much. Not necessary, not an asset.

I imagine the stories are actually pretty good, but I couldn't make it past the narrator! Her reading was incredibly annoying, slow, and patronizing!

Please, please, please fix the sound difference between the commercials and the show. So annoying, makes me not want to listen.

i like these true crime stories, although the interviewees are a bit rough, and you are rarely surprised by the culprit. (it’s snapped after all :) but what really grates on me is the woman who narrates the ads. i cannot stand her voice or cadence, it makes me want to throw my phone across the room. sorry sis.

If you want to enter the big network podcast crime series you need to at least pay some colllege kids or recent grads some money to edit this episodes to be listenable, name them correctly and have some buffer between the ads and sound engineer fix the pitch of such ads. Update: Sound editing is better but some of the episodes end closing remarks are from a completely different episode altogether!!! argh editing , posting listening to show should be at least an intern job , I will work for you to fix this even for free, good grief!

WHY??? Are the commercials SO much louder than the show

I don't understand what it is about this channel, but the least the narrator could do is take the time to learn the names of the victims and their families correctly. It comes across as though there is a lack of care or effort to double-check. It's quite disappointing and disgusting. Other smaller channels take the time to do at least that and with the budget you have you can at least pretend to care about what you're putting out.

I absolutely love listening to this podcast while at work however the commercials for Bomba’s and Quince make it dreadful! They are entirely too load compared to the podcast it’s self!

…WAY, WAY to often. LISTENERS BEWARE: don’t leave any of these cases thinking you know the facts if all your information comes from this show. The slightest Google on many of these cases highlights just how much these people get FLAT OUT WRONG. Just—wrong. That’s pretty hard to forgive, considering how many people work on this show. I’m not going to listen anymore because it’s devolved into not much more than audio clickbait made of a rotten salad of factually provable MISINFORMATION.

I prefer the podcast over the show because I can skip over the ads and the repetitive “coming up…”, but for the love of god, please fix the titles of the episodes. It can’t be that hard to make sure that the published name of the episode matches what the episode actually is. I thought it was an honest mistake at first, but there are probably dozens of mislabeled episodes.

One goggle search would show you what’s stated below.. research is free instead of complaining. As soon as I heard they were all polyamorous and lived off their kids SSDI, I ran to google to see how gross they looked. I was right. Ann did not deserve to be killed. When they interviewed her “partners” and the woman said “I thought she would be my wife and the 3 of us would be together forever.” I unintentionally just cracked up. 3 people can’t be married. 3 people are not a couple. Poor kids.

I’m not sure if the people complaining about the narrator or the music in the background and the “acting” realize that this is a tv show and they are just using the voices from the episodes. In the episode when the officers, family, friends and sometimes the actual killer name and relationship is shown. This is not just a podcast and most of the episodes, as said in the intro, these murders happened years ago.

I have actually become slightly bored with these stories because you know who the guilty party is. Like EVERYONE ELSE says, please find something else to name these. I am curious, does anyone from the show read these reviews?

The dramatization is a lot I’m not going to lie- would really rather just have it audio book style just tell me the story but without the million sounds and music-

Could be a good podcast but the reading of the script is drama class 101 - too much for the listener.

Don’t listen to the pessimistic people in the reviews. Keep the name of the person as the title. It helps to understand who they are, if you are a true crime enthusiast you will want to do your own research on these people and the names as the titles helps you locate more information.

There is clearly one basic requirement to become a woman that kills… you have had to hit every single branch on your fall from the ugly tree. For the men out there, if your wife is unobjectively attractive you safe!

The narration is so ridiculous, it’s like a parody of a crime show. It ruins the whole thing.

I agree w/ everyone else.. remove the killer name as the headline of the episodes either make up a title or use the name(s) of the victim(s)

I wish they would get someone else to narrate. You can find these same stories on countless other podcasts. Do that!

I'm in 100% agreement with the author of the review dated August 18, '24!!!! Please can you put the name of the deceased as the title instead of the killer, it ruins the suspense of who it could be! And the narrator sounds robotic!

I love this podcast but it really needs more episodes, I had finished this podcast in 2 nights. I love the suspense thought especially Pamela Moss I love the suspense, but I would appreciate more episodes. Please add more episodes!

I surely hope Chrystal Weimer sues the socks off of y'all for airing her story after her exoneration. There is no journalistic integrity in this.

I love this show. I don’t watch a lot of tv but I use to watch snapped so I love that it is now in podcast form. People in the reviews are complaining about the sound effects. Y’all do realize this is a tv show that was just also put into podcast form. The titles of the episodes are the titles of the tv episodes. They aren’t going to edit out sound effects or change the titles.

The stories are good. The narrator has a pleasing voice to listen to. But the dramatic background music is overwhelming! Turn it down. The background music should not be a costar in the episode.

I’ve only just started listening to this podcast and have already come across three episodes where the title, description, show, and/or concluding status update don’t line up. Please double check before you post!

Love the podcast but wow. I have to turn down my volume as soon as an ad plays. The volume difference between the episode and ads is terrible.
