Drafting the ultimate ultra running team
Loved how different the teams all 3 of you picked! Like the long ones & short version-hot takes are fun, too! Thought it ended early when the next episode started in 16 minutes.

Singletrack is my go to trail running podcast. I enjoy Finn’s insight into pre-race interviews and the wide range of people he has on the podcast.

Awesome content for fans and participants in the sport!
I found Singletrack a couple of years ago and have come to really enjoy the content Finn and the team put out. From big names in the sport (athletes, race directors, and more) as guests, to in depth and high-quality gear reviews/recommendations, it’s always worth a listen. As an athlete and a coach, I strive to always keep learning, and this show supports that!

One of my favorite podcasts
Found Finn through Jeff Peltier’s podcast and this has become my favorite spot for ultra news and discussion.

Ignorant.
They admit to be ignorant of BPN and then decide to be extremely judgemental of Nick and brand. Disappointed. Elitists.

Best ultra podcast out there
Love these guys for their focus on both the ultra race scene and FKTs — Finn is a great host and always comes off as thoughtful and genuine.
That said, I can’t in good conscience give 5 stars to a show where the hosts are repeating these tired canards (started by extractive industry) about wilderness protections, including the dubious idea that people “can’t recreate in these places” just because it takes a more deliberate effort to access these incredible places on foot.
Love you guys, but I would invite Finn and the hosts to read the text of the Wilderness Act. Actually, a Singletrack book club would be amazing (maybe start with Desert Solitaire and continue with Arctic Dreams, A Sand County Almanac, the Gary Snyder Reader, and anything by Muir).

One of my go-to podcasts
Always enjoy these on my runs. They’re a good balance of informative and entertaining. Long live the legend of Sergio Morales

Great show!
Love the way they cover the top of the sport like a true pro sport. Found that other options before finding this pod were more focused on relating to the regular runner’s training but I like the focus on the elite athletes’ stories for the same reasons I like watching NFL, Olympics, The Masters. I read enough about my own training I want to follow the what the crazy fast people are doing haha! Covering the best of the best! It’s a blast. Thanks!!!

Always an interesting and entertaining listen!
Singletrack, hosted by Finn Melanson, is hands down one of the best podcasts in the trail and ultra-running world. Finn brings a perfect mix of insightful interviews, in-depth race analysis, and thought-provoking conversations with elite athletes, coaches, and industry experts.
His interviewing style is genuine, well-researched, and engaging, making every episode feel like a meaningful conversation rather than just another podcast. Whether he's breaking down race strategies, exploring the evolution of the sport, or discussing the mental and physical aspects of ultra-endurance, there’s always something valuable to take away.
If you’re passionate about trail running, ultra marathons, or just love great storytelling, this is the podcast for you! Highly recommend giving it a listen! 🎙🏔🏃♂️

Love yall, but let’s be more critical in our reporting?
Finn, Brett, I love yall and this is truly the best podcast in the space. But can we not uplift narcissistic cheaters and liars like David Roche? Having him on is very much respected but it would be nice to challenge his outlandish claims (we all know he cheats on zwift, love you suggested the livestream and he clapped back with “but then I’d have to prove my weight!”) anyway, let’s shock the world…with the truth?

Great Ultra Podcast
Finn is great on keeping us up to date on all things ultra running, and has great interviews with the athletes of the sport.

Great podcast, needs a better name
Finn puts in the work to be an informed interviewer and scholar of the sport. I greatly enjoy his illuminating conversations with guests and reoccurring partners. Waiting for him to get Morgan McDonald on for the Coffee Club/Finn crossover bromance conversation we’ve all been waiting for. It’s unfortunate that the podcast shares the same name as another ultra running podcast that predates it, Mathias Eichler’s “Singletrack” which is excellent. Would love to see Finn choose a new unique name for the podcast that better encapsulates his point of view and embraces the community spirit of good style that he espouses.

One of my favorite podcasts!!
Not just one of my favorite running podcasts but any podcast. Singletrack is an amazing listen for runners. Great guests and the chemistry between Finn and Brett is incredible and they’re both so knowledgeable and bring a wealth of experience to the conversation. Keep up the great work guys!!

Great addition to my running podcast list.
I found this podcast through listening to the Trail Network and SWAP podcasts. I enjoy how Finn covers a variety of topics in the running world. I am a road runner transitioning to more trails so I have a lot to learn.

Not the original Singletrack podcast
There was already a great trail running podcast with Mathias Eichler called the Singletrack podcast. We had been listening to that podcast for years before Finn tried to steal the name. Mathias has great conversations with world class athletes published on a regular basis.
Also, Finn’s podcast has far too many conversations about business for my taste and not enough on the cool things people are accomplishing in trail running.

Best long run company
Finn (and co) bring the perfect blend of humor and information, backed up with a wealth of knowledge and experience. The interviews are excellent, and Finn asks questions that seem to push both the guests and my own thinking. I always look forward to my long runs with a singletrack episode

A new favorite!
Recently discovered Singletrack through SWAP and it’s fast become a personal favorite in the trail running space. Finn is a thoughtful interviewer and every episode I’ve put on has been super engaging - especially loved the Tara Dower AT FKT interviews. Keep bringing the awesome episodes!

Relatable conversations, new ways to think
I love this podcast. Finn interviews in a way that is easy to relate to and makes me consider a bunch of different ultra running perspectives/ideas. In the latest Long Run Archives he talks about Killian and Courtney Dawaulter, referencing that they both as incredible athletes at the top of their field do both the super competitive races, but also do the races they think are fun and exciting. This has been a big topic on my mind this year of racing. Trying to tell myself that it’s ok to still be excited to race the remote and wild small races, and not feel like I need to race a UTMB race or something equivalent. Appreciate the conversation!

Great pod!
This is one of my favorite trail podcasts! Finns voice and interview style is genuine and down to earth. The conversations are always interesting and often reach beyond the obvious line of questioning. Truly furthers the sport and understanding of trails for all.

New to running, but what an outstanding interviewer!
Came for Max’s Moab 240 journey but will stay for the storyteller and interviewing skills of Finn, he’s always digging more passion and excrement out of his guests!

Exceptional pod covering a variety of topics
Finn and team have an exceptional podcast. They cover all aspects of primarily trail running from pre/post race analysis, industry topics, current events and athlete interviews. I love the variety of topics he covers. Long run archive episodes my favorite. He comes across as passionate for the sport and a genuinely caring and good individual. Give it a listen!

Consistently great
Definitely one of the best running podcasts out there. Every episode is consistently fantastic in the quality of interviews and in-depth passion and knowledge of the sport. Finn is an insightful interviewer who never puts himself above the guest or topic, but keeps the conversation flowing with obvious enthusiasm and professionalism. So much great content here.

Newbie
I recently started running in March of 2024 and have worked my way up to do my first 10k next month. There is such a vast amount of knowledge and information surrounding running that it can be overwhelming. I stumbled upon Singletrack after following Max Jolliffe and seeing him win Moab and sitting down for an episode. I had no clue what “ultra running” was but was quickly captivated by this episode and am now a subscriber. The conversation was great, transitions were smooth, and I got a ton of information just from one episode. I look forward to future episodes and maybe even one day signing up for an ultramarathon. Life's too short to be average!

Outstanding trail & ultra pod!
This is my all around favorite trail & ultrarunning podcast. Finn is a professional host who really does his homework and asks insightful questions. The long form 1:1 interviews are outstanding and cover interesting, relevant guests not just elites. Also love the more lighthearted banter of what’s going on in general around the sport in the “long run archives.” Keep up the great work.

New old runner loves the pod

Illest Running Podcast
I find that most running podcasts are starting to go in a weird direction, and follow the leader when it comes to discussion and running. I’ll be the first to say that Singletrack differs from this wherein the host consistently talks about new things happening in the running community as a whole, not just UTMB/Majors. He has talent on board quite often and keeps things real. Definitely not an influencer podcast, but a well packaged podcast that ties runners/ultra-runners/community into an all-in-one conversation. Don’t sleep on this, give it a listen!

Exceptional Ultra Trail Pod!
Singletrack is hands down my favorite ultra/trail podcast out there. Finn brings in a wide range of interesting and insightful guests as he often covers the many different sides and layers of the sport. Whether it be the top-end of the sport with Western States/UTMB type coverage, or the more nuanced discussions about trail running’s history and culture, Finn brings intentionality and fresh perspectives in every episode! Singletrack is my go to pod when knocking out long runs on the trails!

My go to trail running podcast
Finn clearly loves the sport and we’re lucky he’s putting his energies into a podcast. He shows respect for his guests through researched and thoughtful questions and let’s conversation work.

Depth and inquisitive
Finn lets his interest and the guests questions guide the direction of the podcast. Sure, he has done his homework in advance but his genuine curiosity allows for more genuine storytelling

Fantastic show- diverse guests
Finn does an awesome job of finding great guests and asking really interesting questions and getting great answers . His mini series about the business side of trail running- talking to people who work for the brands- was super insightful. I’m always keen to listen to his podcasts
