Fantastic and credible
Never listened to this podcast before but was looking for some about Papini. Outstanding job with objectivity and the questions were spot on. I’m so impressed. You were respectful but didn’t throw her a bunch of soft ball questions that others have. You asked the logical questions that so many of us are asking. New fan and follower!!!

Friday episodes
I don’t understand. I pay for exclusive subscriber only episodes and they aren’t consistently released every Friday! Not cool.

Bad legal takes
Advocating to not give a perpetrator, albeit a deplorable criminal, due process is a dangerous slippery slope. I can no longer support such a show who doesn’t support the rule of law.

Careful with your rhetoric
I enjoyed this show for awhile but concerned about some of the rhetoric I’ve been hearing lately who who deserve a fair trial and who doesn’t. That is a dangerous slippery slope to put those words out there especially in the political and social climate we are in currently. What you say, your thoughts and opinions or not can affect listeners. Looking for a more unbiased show

I love this so much
This is the only true crime podcast I enjoy listening to. Keep up the good work Annie!

Powerful-informative-engaging
Been listening for a while. Each episode is uniquely tailored and has so much for the listener. Crime podcasts can be a harsh listen. Annie Elise has a way of sharing a story with details and facts yet still gives it a human touch. She shares-not her opinion-but she shows her humanity. I agree with her “spot on” comments when she shares moments of disgust/grief/sadness/frustration/empathy/relief/anger (so many words I could add). This is the best podcast by far. She digs in deep in order to share as much information as possible! Thank you AnnieElise for all you do. One listen and you will be hooked!

instantly hooked
It’s October 2023, I’m hiking in beautiful Big Sur, CA with my sister when she asks if I want to listen to this true crime podcast she found recently. She plays Serialously, the Taylor Schabusiness episode and I was instantly hooked. If you’ve heard that episode you know it’s unhinged. I’ve been listening to her ever since and I’m a Patreon member too for ad-free episodes 😀 Annie really does become your true crime bestie & I look forward to listening to her episodes!

I love your show.
I hate that I have to pay for this. I have never done that before. I get you need to be paid. But just because I didn’t I am not a true crime besty. So I paid.

Good, but…
Good, but, “I’ll just say this, if I’m being honest”, way too many, as in a very, very obnoxiously large of overabundant, “like” ridiculously overdone and unnecessary number of repetitive descriptive words…”You know, I mean, like if I’m being honest.”

Finally!
I have been so turned off from “discussion” type true crime podcasts because of the unnecessary banter and joking tones. But this is done so well! Conversational but also informative and takes it seriously! Love!

Long blocks of inaudible audio
It would be so much better without the long blocks of audio that are completely incomprehensible. Am I the only one who just moves forward until the show comes back? It’s so lazy and so clearly done to fit more adds in.

Crazy Courtney
My heart goes out to her father and all accused. If she’s proved a liar? Time in prison for destroying reputations.

Love this podcast and find myself craving episodes, and yes, I am a paid subscriber so I’ve already binged all the bonus episodes.

Love
Love the show. Annie doesn’t push her opinion. She tells you what she thinks and where she stands because she’s not unbiased and she doesn’t pretend to be. She then lets us come to our own conclusion. On the latest headline highlights, I absolutely do not believe Courtney or her story of being raised in a satanic cult. I did not find her to be credible. She was very vague and gave examples that you could find in any textbook article or book about a satanic cult. Very very vague, cool and nonchalant. I just don’t find her credible that she was a victim of any such thing. Just my 2 cents.

Can’t get enough!
I love your podcast! I look forward to listening to it every week. I was wondering if you have ever covered the Jodi Huisentruit disappearance? Or the Molly Tibbetts murder? I live in Iowa, so these cases hit close to home. Thank you!

Love Annie!
No need to go anywhere else! Annie breaks everything down in a digestible way. She sticks to the case and facts while giving you enough to know who she is as a person. Love Serialously… seriously!

“Unhinged” but… fantastic content
This engaging true crime podcast stands out for its conversational and relatable approach. Annie’s sincerity and authenticity shine through, creating the feeling of chatting with a trusted friend. Her voice has a captivating cadence, making the podcast a pleasure to listen to, and her well-crafted content keeps listeners hooked. However, her frequent use of the word “unhinged” and similar terms can feel repetitive, and a broader vocabulary to describe cases or individuals would enhance her commentary.
The guest host, Elizabeth Chambers, while clearly knowledgeable and courageous for stepping into the spotlight, struggles to maintain listener engagement. Her monotone delivery can make episodes less compelling, sometimes prompting me to stop the podcast and mark as played. I find that I cannot listen to her.
Overall, Serialously is a fantastic listen, with Annie Elise’s friendly and heartfelt style being a major strength. The podcast earns a three-out-of-five rating due to the overuse of certain words and the guest host’s delivery, but Annie’s ability to connect with her audience ensures I’ll remain a loyal listener.

Serialously Irresponsible
Just finished listening to the "Her Possessive Best Friend" episode and was extremely disappointed in how Annie talked about Renee and Camilla's relationship. Annie said the word "toxic" about 100 times, which insinuates that both parties contributed to the dynamic of the relationship. This was, beyond a shadow of a doubt, abuse. Abusive relationships come in all forms, friendships being one of them. If you're going to make true crime your full time job, the least you can do is educate yourself on domestic violence. I cringed when Annie took a jab at Renee for getting engaged so quickly- victim blaming much? Overall this was an incredibly irresponsible episode and disrespectful to Renee and her family.

Great Podcast! Annie does a great job of breaking down complex cases in a more simple way. I am so glad this True Crime gem was recommended to me.

Besties!
If you’re a true crime junkie like me, Serialously is an absolute must-listen. Every episode is well-researched, engaging, and somehow manages to strike the perfect balance between informative and conversational. I love how Annie breaks down even the most complex cases in a way that’s easy to follow—while still showing compassion for the victims and their families. Whether it’s high-profile trials or lesser-known cases, Serialously always delivers. I look forward to each new drop like it’s true crime Christmas. Highly recommend Annie and this podcast!

Scary Sherri
Interesting interview. Sherri Pappini is like a tornado destroying everyone in her path. Being evicted from a home her ex-boyfriend owns. Sued by the ex-girlfriend of her current boyfriend. It’s evident she only cares about one person - herself. The more she talks the less believable she is.

Disappointed
Very disappointing to see papini be given airspace and platform time in any form or fashion. Expected better from this podcast than to pander to criminals for the views and likes.

Sheri Papini Interview
All you need to hear is at timestamp 28:35 where Sheri says her ex husband took EVERYTHING in the divorce multiple times. Mentions family heirlooms, a truck, a boat, multiple properties and all she got was clothes and shoes. SOMEONE ELSE had to mention that he also got the kids. And she laughs it off like oh yeah and the kids?? Truly hope her kids find peace and create boundaries with her in order to do so.

She says it all
Why?!
Papini is a dangerous, malignant narcissist. Why would you give her book a shout out? And then put a link with the show? Very disappointed she found another person to manipulate - you. How can anyone trust you to give information about criminals if you get duped by the most obvious one? Had you ended by saying, “Can you believe these lies?” And then given the truths… But you ended by saying you have questions?! And hey buy her book? This is how narcissists do so much damage. They manipulate people! And yes, she WAS diagnosed as a narcissist.

Why put subscriber only content in the free feed
I’m not a subscriber and I don’t intend to add any more subscriptions but I still get the subscriber episodes in my feed. That’s the reason for 3 stars. Otherwise I like the podcast

Elizabeth Chambers episode
I definitely will be watching the Toxic episodes! Though I enjoyed the conversation and information that came from this episode, I think and hope Toxic will explore men who have fallen victim to toxic, dangerous women - the cases of Officer Daniel Greene in California and Mark Van Dongen (UK? I think) come to mind. It makes me really upset to see men being victims of domestic abuse and not recognizing it because of gender norms that have been instilled in us. I think it would be helpful to analyze toxic traits in women as well as men to give a more well rounded perspective on the issue of domestic violence.

So disappointed
I can’t believe this interview. You let her get away with lies and didn’t bring up CLEAR evidence of her lies. I guess you just wanted the interview and agreed to treat her like a victim, either explicitly or implicitly, to get it. Yuck! It is so dangerous for real victims and you fed the beast.

Papini
I listened to your interview with Sherri Papini which was conducted professionally and impartially. The way Sherri Papini talks and answers questions made me think of Ruby Franke. I don’t trust them 🧐

Sherri the liar
I was a huge fan of your platform until this interview. Especially living here in Redding and knowing the resources we all wasted on this liar. Giving her a platform to continue these lies and now ruining that poor ex bf’s life is beyond despicable. She doesn’t deserve ANY rights. I wish you would have been harder on her. Clearly she thinks she’s safe and backed on this platform. So sad. She’s pathetic and her kids deserve better. Hopefully KARMA finds her sooner than later.

Sherri Papini
I think annie asks her all the right questions, that solidifies all her lies and her fantastical story telling. She lies in circles, fake tears and delusions. Incredible that she thinks people are going to believe this twist. She needs a psychologist ASAP!!

I may have changed my mind
Annie you were so kind and professional.Sounds like there could be some truth to what she said on points. Hope if what she says is true she can see her children and get something's back that belonged to her or her family. I actually felt kinda bad for her.

Excellent interview
Wow. As a woman who has been through a divorce with custody issues. Sheri is obviously a psychopath. She needs to be locked away as she clearly sounds dangerous to her children and her ex husband.
PBandsmokey
Sherri Pappini really?!
So you believe she’s lying and question whether or not to give her this platform but because you still have questions you grant her this platform and audience?!? Wow. Everybody has questions. That doesn’t mean you betray survivor’s . That’s really sad to be that desperate for follows, likes and shares. Sad day for survivors when their ally gives a voice to the manipulators, liars and abusers. Knowing good well the truth. Smh

POD💕
I was a fan until today
I usually love the show but to interview this liar and give her a platform to pretend like she did nothing is so gross. That lady is a full on narcissist psychopath and she literally is pretending that she did nothing wrong and placing the blame on everyone but herself. Over an hour of her lying and making stuff up. This is insane. I don’t know if I can listen any longer.

Wannabe journalist!
I listened to Annie for well over a year prior to this review but after her soft little interview with Scammer Sherri Pappini, she sounds completely disingenuous and babied her way too much. Bye!

You lost my paid sub on this one…
Seeing you drop a Sherri Papini interview at first was super interesting as you rarely conduct one-on-ones. And I know you have every entertainment right to change your mind, but after your long established promotion of this character’s mind-boggling, ultra selfish grifter behavior, you are now willing to give her a platform.
But it wasn’t just this alone that really turned me off, it’s a 1-2 punch. Karen Read was just acquitted days ago, and I imagine you’re preparing something awesome about that but you haven’t said a single word. Where is the constant promotion about that? Or even a quick impromptu episode like you have done in the past? Your honest gushing about what is happening is another thing that makes you you, lots and lots of blossoms of words. A wonderful, heartfelt momentum.
And here we are in history at the humongous Karen Read climax. You even had an actual on-site correspondent!
But an opportunity came up and suddenly an interview with a brilliantly disgusting person who, right after another huge platform on streaming, you are offering another platform. That woman thrives on the dictum “there is no such thing as bad publicity.” As you are helping yourself, you are helping her, and one does not cancel out the other. It feels a little craven.
I still believe in your success, and really respect your super cool analysis and intuition that usually comes from your heart. I just don’t feel I can pay for it anymore.
