Okay, now that Erika Kemp has joined the Relay Podcast, I’ll give the show a 5-star rating and now here is my stellar review.

I’ve been listening for about two years and this show has gradually become one of my favorite podcasts. I love the deep cuts, the hosts’ commitment to storytelling in running, and Peter’s hot takes. Thank you all for making the time to put out these episodes, especially those that are quick turnarounds after big races.

This is a quality crew! No matter who is on the episode, I find myself learning, thinking, and always laughing. This is a crew you find yourself listening to feeling like you are chatting with your running besties. 10/10 recommend!

This is one of my favorite podcasts but it has been missing something recently. So happy that Laura Thweatt is back! The Two Tommie’s and a lie episode was so entertaining.

I am in CA and needed to get out for a run but also wanted to keep up with the NYC Marathon. Someone suggested iHeart (I use it daily!) and told me which station. Laura - you were fantastic!! Idk about the other 2 guys - especially the one critiquing Obiri’s running form. It made my run go by fast!

I really enjoyed this episode about the herstory of women’s marathon running Going to give the book as a holiday present to a friend I render being one of the volunteers at that first women’s Olympic trial in Olympia so it was cool to hear this podcast

I look forward to the group chat each week (and the bonus joy of the coach’s corner and chat with a pro when they come out). Enjoy the non sequiturs as much as the straight running talk. Fun to hear all of their personalities and relationships to running interact.

I feel like these are my running friends who agree with me. I learn a lot during each episode and occasionally shout at my phone when during the hot takes.

Love there is a mix of hosts so we hear different takes and opinions. So far liking the interviews with pros as one of the best segments - these interviews seem to get the pros talking about different topics than the typical interview. Also love Laura Thweat’s insider info about life as a pro - more please!

This podcast is some running and a lot of slightly unhinged content around random topics. I absolutely love it, it always make me laugh!

I've followed Relay since the very beginning and I have to say it just keeps getting better. The majority of the time I listen and feel like I'm in a room with friends that love talking about running and do so in the most fun and exciting way. I had a bad race this past weekend and listened to the most recent episode the day after and I was laughing out loud a minute or so into the episode. Totally made my day :) The team has created such a great dynamic, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for the podcast and each of its team members. Can't recommend enough

While all of the hosts seem like nice people, I have become frustrated that they call their perspectives informed when they are often not. Case in point was a recent discussion about Fred Kerley being upset that USATF chose Lyles to run the 400 relay at Worlds. No one on the podcast had any idea of how the runners on a relay are selected. This critical piece of information would have created a discussion backed by facts not uninformed opinion. Surely someone makes some sort of an outline of topics to be covered beforehand that could and should be investigated. While the banter can be fun, why not be more informed and professional?

I love that this is great running content mixed in with friends just chatting and teasing each other. The team is made up of such a good mix of personalities and backgrounds. Even when they get off topic it’s usually so humorous and will (eventually) come back around to running!

One doesn’t have to be a geek about elite running and racing stats to enjoy the Relay podcast. The points of view, the jesting and competition between the hosts, and the variety of topics covered all create a space in which the average running enthusiast can learn and become a bit invested in the sport. I love the coaching segments and the fantasy teams. My only complaint is that I’d really love more Kara.

Just when you think you can’t love these podcasters’ (and influencers’, and runners’) content any more than you already do….BOOM they go and unite into this incredible A-Team of running content synergy. Each team member brings a unique background to the convos, and the dynamic among team members allows you to get to know them each in a new way. The programming continues to evolve, and ya know what? I’m SO here for it. All of it! Thank you for continuously putting yourselves out there with your new and evolving ideas. You guys are doing great things for this sport we love so much, and helping us be better fans along the way. ⭐️🤩👏

Love this podcast! Feels like I’m on a run with friends as I’m listening. Great banter between the hosts. Only small criticism is that the audio levels vary from host to host, and I’m often having to adjust the volume as I’m running.

Rarely do I find a podcast on running where I can get multiple view points and personalities in one place; enter relay. I love the variety of hosts and what they bring to the podcast. Relay is a one stop shop of laughter, serious conversations, hot running topics, and plenty of tangents that keep me entertained on my run and in between.

I rarely laugh out loud listening to podcasts, but you all crack me up! Love the mix of personalities, friendly teasing, the sometimes wacky humor (like picturing Matt in the doc's kiddie chair w/a lollipop), banter and perspectives on race happenings, etc. Will someone please get Laura a mic? The harsh audio issues from her feed (esp. the cutting in/out) and occasionally others can be downright dangerous if I'm listening on headphones. Thanks for de-Patreoning the podcast!

What Matt & company are doing is so cool and unique. It’s like listening in to a group of friends discuss various running topics, but your friends are also informed and possibly ran in the Olympics. You need to give this a listen!
