Dave Quinn on Jen Shah interview 👎🏻 Kate’s questions are ALWAYS 5 ⭐️
Dave Quinn sounds like a VERY kind person. He mentioned his own struggles similar to Jen Shah’s and that he’s no longer on social media but didn’t go into detail. It sounds like he’s actually going through similar situations currently, so it’s hitting close to home for him. Maybe a different journalist would have been a better fit. He does sound like a very caring person. His comments re his time with Jen Shah were really hard to swallow. He sounded more like a “fan” of Jen Shah vs a true investigative journalist. He made a lot of good points but came across more star crossed than informed.

Summer house breakdown is why I ❤️U
You're absolutely spot on breakdown of what's going on in the summer house from start to what-it has become now is everything I've been thinking. Thank you so much for saying it out loud!

Making of the Bachelor
OK. I don’t really watch Bachelor/Bachelorette, the concept grosses me out and I can’t stomach the women CRYING about being in love with guys they barely know. But, I was interested in hearing the stories from a former producer. Welp, when he consistently referred to the women on the show as “chicks” everything made sense. The producers clearly strive to demean women on screen, behind the scenes, on podcasts. Not shocking and pretty gross.

No to Mark Geragos
I really adore your podcast but giving Mark Geragos a platform is a huge miss. He is vile and represents the scum of the earth. See his case representing the Driz brothers.

OMG, I LOVED the episode with Michael Carroll! Sooo funny! I listened twice! I’m glad he accepted your final rose and hope you two have more episodes together in the future.

Sorry
Kate, do you have any idea how incredibly bored you sound with your very entertaining guest Chris Farah? The monosyllabic vocal fry doesn’t read well with your audio-only listeners. It’s painful.

Great podcast!
Kate gets the most interesting guests and asks the questions we want to know the answers to!

Love but
Kate is an amazing interviewer and love her content but damn does she get mean with Chris derosa. They become two high school mean girls. Cringe.

Chris DeRosa - you know what I mean?!?
Chris DeRosa. Please stop saying “do ya know what I mean”. This is even worse than how many times he says “like”. DO YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN

Losing touch
Edit: it’s feeling more mean-spirited and out of touch as time goes on. Why the obsession with mocking the Love is Blind Ohio cast’s clothes? And encouraging NANCY SALZMAN to work with people again? Come on. Original review: Interviews are great and I like knowing what shows are coming out. I feel like it’s getting a little disingenuous though. Kate will have different opinions on shows based on who she’s talking to. She’ll hype a show on one episode and then talk about how boring it was on another episode. Also wish they’d timestamp the episodes where she’s talking to a guest about different shows, especially if it’s not in the title.

This podcast is like a dissertation on human behavior except deeply hilarious
I hope my title is clear that I LOVE this podcast. I get so much more than reality doc recommendations from this podcast. 70% of what I read/watch/listen to is something I heard about on this podcast.

Reasons for separate rooms.
I have my own bedroom and bathroom. So does my husband. We slowly went to this in our mid fifties. I like to read in bed. He hates the light on. He has cpap. Noise. But thankfully in 1987 we graduated from climbing over each other in a tiny bedroom with a king bed. Of course we visit each other but I love my own time frame for sleep. Everyone should go to this. We are in mid 60s and 46 years married. One saving marriage is not crawling over each other and having your own bedtime. That’s probably the best advice I could give newlyweds. Also it took us almost 5 years to get rid of the 8 kids to their own places. We had several strangler and grand daughters here. It really helped us refind each other.

INCREDIBLE INTERVIEWS
Truly a keeper of a podcast.. Kate. KATE. I’ve never felt compelled to use the phrase ‘chef’s kiss’.. but that’s what comes to mind in how to best describe how satisfied and satiated my heartbrain is. Incredible interviews, incredible interviewing, incredibly smart, insightful, genuine, worldly.. and also entertaining!! Love the mix of reality television and real REALITY. A Gem you are, Kate Casey. ❤️

Commercials with a Side of Podcast
Every podcast has at least 5 mins of ads for the beginning of the each episode, then the commercial breaks are so unusually long. I listen to many podcasts and I can’t believe a 10 minute episode can be 6 mins of ads. The only episodes I listen to are the ones with Chris (FFP) because I’m not a huge fan of Kate and the ads are just so bad. Yes, I can skip over them but this seems excessive, which shows in the reviews. Her opinions are through a thick lens of “rich blond woman in LA” and I think she is a terrible judge of character.

Steady Decline
I like to hear Kate’s take on documentaries and reality TV, but the amount of ads has only grown over time. Instead of increasing the length of her episodes to account for the ads, her episodes have gotten shorter and shorter. I’m not going to subscribe for 30 minutes of content a week. Kate really lost me when she decided to bring on Sarah Fraser as a guest - who is just a walking, talking National Enquirer who demeans women, is a rape apologist, and MAGA supporter. I’m done.

Amazing!
I don’t know why I like her so much but I do- I think she asks relative questions

Elizabeth Smart episode
Not sure why this bothers me, but the podcast host said Elizabeth Smart was the “4th born” of 6 children. No, she was born 2nd. She does have 4 brothers and 1 sister, so that’s maybe where the “4” got mixed up - Anyhow, love the podcast!

The Secrets We Bury
This Episode 1490, was so good. I watched the documentary. It’s bittersweet, it’s nice to see the family got some closure. I hope more listeners view it. It’s on HBO MAX, you can also rent or buy it on other platforms. It’s unfortunate that those secrets went to the grave. It’s so hard on the children, and their families.

She's Amazing!
Of the many podcasts I listen to, Kate Casey is the best interviewer by far. It's obvious she puts a ton of prep work in and asks the questions everyone wants answered!

Love Kate
Chris’ dislike for Heated Rivalry annoyed the hell out of me, but he was right about Selling Sunset and I still love Kate’s take on everything else.

Kate can do no wrong
Been listening since day 1. Even the guests who I don’t agree with, Kate gets a great perspective.

Heated Rivalry
What a fkn downer this episode was. We’ve found hope and love in a tv show and you two came on and trashed it. Why would anyone listen to a podcast that’s always negative and ugly? Try again.

Best interviews
Kate Casey is an amazing interviewer. She does her research and truly cares about her guests. She makes sure to let them speak and then asks really thoughtful questions. Always look forward to new episodes.

Review of the Nancy Salzman episodes
First, this show is a good review of the reality world. However, I was extremely disappointed with the Nancy Salzman episodes. I believe that Nancy didn’t know about DOS. Still, Nancy did see the curriculum for Jness and SOP used her techniques to teach that women that they were vain, untrustworthy, spoiled, and more social than intelligent etc., and that is why men deservedly hate them, which made them susceptible to DOS. Nancy and the interviewer fail to acknowledge any of Nancy’s culpability.

Gave platform to unrepentant convicted felon accused of manipulating people. add Kate to that list
Kate had Nancy Salzman of Nxivm on and just lets Nancy (who has been convicted of coercive behavior) self promote and push her it wasn’t me PR bull without pushing back. Nancy is very clever and knew exactly who to go to, to push her narrative. Nancy went to someone who wouldn’t push back. A doormat. Someone who lacks critical thinking skills or the ability to ask thoughtful questions. Someone like Kate. Kate could have done a ton of research on Nancy and would have been prepared to be manipulated. Not sure if she did or was just too pompous to believe she could be manipulated. If this is Kate’s attempt to expand her audience, she only showed she is easily manipulated. She also shows she lacks depth. Especially, when she is asking a grown woman about an overly shallow, naive concept like beta and alpha relationships or romantic entanglements. Kate got played and showed the rest of us she should stay in her area of competency of talking about tv shows and pop culture. Kate Casey you demeaned yourself by giving voice to Nancy, an unrepentant manipulator. You made the world a worse place by giving her a platform.

A voice of reason!
Every episode has great interviews. Her takes are the voice of reason on so many shows and docs. My favorite are the bravo episodes but I learn so much from all of her podcast episodes! Great tv recommendations always and the best curated list of what to watch.

Smart, current and fun
Kate Casey is like my west coast friend who keeps me updated on the latest and greatest in pop culture and entertainment. She also mixes in stories of her interesting life and personal history. She is also very knowledgeable about famous historical figures, especially the Kennedy family. There is something for everyone! Plus her Philly area roots don’t hurt either. Ha! Follow this show, you will be glad you did.

Long term listener
I’ve been listening to Kate for probably 5 years now anyway. She gets all the guests you’d expect, but also gives us stories of people you would never expect. Like Ann Fessler, author of “The Women Who Went Away.” Kate asks the best questions, is always prepared and has done her research. A very thoughtful interviewer.

Thoughtful and Funny
One word to describe Kate Casey’s podcast is “thoughtful”. I just discovered her podcast and have listened to many current and back episodes. She covers a variety of subjects most pup culture related and always includes very thoughtful takes on her topics. We may all revel in “trash TV” but Kate often looks at the big picture and draws in some political/social/ cultural ties to her discussions. I really appreciate that. She’s a great interviewer and displays a lot of empathy and understanding in her discourse. Her various interviews shows/ books/articles/documentaries always teach me something. Can’t recommend this podcast enough.

Re. Part 1 & 2 Nancy Salzman
I found this two-part interview to be incredibly enlightening and deeply inspiring. Hearing Nancy’s story—and, through her, Lauren’s—was profoundly moving. Having recently rewatched The Vow (HBO), I especially appreciated Nancy’s honesty and vulnerability in sharing her experience. I truly enjoy listening to her speak, and my heart goes out to her and her family. I also want to acknowledge how calm, compassionate, and supportive Kate was as an interviewer. Her presence created a space that felt both safe and respectful, particularly toward the end when she offered thoughtful suggestions and ongoing encouragement around Nancy’s future endeavors. That support came through clearly and meaningfully. Overall, this interview series was incredibly rewarding to listen to. I deeply appreciated both Kate and Nancy for their openness, care, and intention throughout.
