Like, right?
I really wanted to listen to the Unexpected Mentorship Questions episode with Kara Pesola, but I could only stand it for about 15 minutes before I had to turn it off because of the amount of times they both say “like” or “right.” Super annoying and unprofessional. It would make an excellent drinking game if you wanted to get absolutely plastered, though.

Amazing podcast!
Love love love this podcast! It’s exactly what I was looking for as an np student about to start clinicals! I love the topics that are based on primary complaint or condition, even just a general overview is so helpful. Would love an episode about doing a thorough sports physical (sorry if there is one and I just missed it).

Good but….
I think this podcast is very well put together! But the moaning! I can’t get past it. Everything is fine and the all the sudden “mmmmmm” I can’t stop laughing when I hear it.
Danipher21
I’m sure the content is decent…
But I can’t listen because of what sounds like long, drawn out moans. I know she is agreeing with or acknowledging statements, but it’s incredibly distracting, especially since it usually drowns out/interrupts the person she’s interviewing. To improve audio quality, either don’t make any noises or use words to acknowledge or agree. “Absolutely!” Or “Oh, that’s interesting,” after the speaker is done would be just fine if you really feel you need to have input beyond continuing the interview.

Love the topics, hate the moaning
This podcast is very informative, I love the topics and always end up learning a lot. As constructively as possible, feedback I have to give is this: the moaning (agreeing with your voice) could improve the podcast if a verbal response were initiated instead. Otherwise, keep up the great work ❤️

Empowering resource for NPs!
As a new grad NP, I am so overwhelmed by all the information available! Every time I listen to an episode of this podcast, I feel more empowered on effective ways to educate, treat, and care for my patients. It is truly such an incredible resource.

You lose any credibility when you say there are multiple genders.. No.. There are 2..

All fluff
She talks a lot with nothing really to say.

Helpful information.
Helpful information tailored to np’s. Only thing I dislike is the frequent “I love that,” “hmmm’s” and “yeahhhhhh” while the person being interviewed is talking. I find it repetitive and distracting.

A lifesaver for NP students
I’m doing my clinical rotations for NP school now and Liz has been an amazing resource. I walk while listening to the podcast and it helps me absorb the information differently from when I read my textbook. But I didn’t fully appreciate the value of the information provided until I got to clinicals. During the didactic portion of my program, the “real world” information was still a bit abstract because I wasn’t interacting with real patients. About halfway through my very first clinical day, I bought Liz’s binder! I leave it open on my computer along with UpToDate and my other clinical resources. I print out the templates for the exam type so I’m sure I’m getting all the information needed. But I think the greatest thing about Liz is just the fact that she is so darn nice! Healthcare is stressful and the clear concise and compassionate way she presents the information has helped me to stay calm and connect with patients in a meaningful way. I find myself using her communication techniques all the time and she’s helped me see things from new perspectives. I always learn something new that I immediately get to apply in practice. She helps make sense of the 90 million things you learn in your program!

Grateful for this!!
Beyond excited that Liz is starting this podcast! When I started my NP student journey I searched for NP focused podcasts to listen to on my way to class and clinical to no avail. This is going to be a game changer. One podcast in and I’m hooked! I had to subscribe because I don’t want to miss an episode.

You’re Awesome
Thank you for investing in my future. I enjoy you enthusiasm and the information detail is phenomenal. Because of you I am able to feel more confident in my daily practice. I purchased your cheat sheets and have not looked back. We need more in the world willing to motivate novice nurse practitioners. Keep up the good work.

A MUST HAVE reference for new NPs
Real world Np came into my life right after I passed my AANP boards- I swear it was a gift from above. Liz makes reviews of a variety of need to know NP topics SO EASY to review and understand. After falling in love with her videos, I quickly jumped at the other resources she offered including the NP binder and the lab interpretation course- and everything is worth EVERY penny! Having this podcast to listen to in the go is an amazing resource for all of us baby NPs! Thank you Real world NP!

Incredibly helpful resource for new NPs and clinical students
I am an FNP student currently completing my clinical hours, and I am so, so grateful that a friend referred me to Real World NP. It's exactly what I've been looking for to help me review material in a practical way that is honed specifically to the learning needs of clinical students and new NPs as we jump into practice. I love how the material is specific to NP scope- it is pared down enough to really stick in the brain while still incorporating the needed complexity. The encouraging, reassuring spirit that Liz always brings is also so needed and probably does as much to support my practice as the actual content. I am excited she has released podcasts now in addition to the YouTube videos- I'll be listening whenever I walk my dog!

An ally for NP’s
I graduated 05/2021 and just passed the ANCC exam. I signed up for the lab crash course and listened to part of the first module. Liz is such a great teacher, she makes learning so easy and relevant. She really has created her business to help us all genuinely. Thank you Liz!!!

Great Content
Liz is insanely informative. The way she explains topics are logical and methodical as they should be! Her information is so useful and I can’t believe she is giving out so much for free. I can’t wait to see what else she will podcast about. This podcast format is so much more convenient. If you are a brand new NP she gives so many pearls on how to survive your first year!

Great resource!
Liz is so great and such a good resource to have as a new grad or someone like me who did a few years in Peds and then switched to family practice. This is a wonderful refresher of everything. She is easy to understand and breaks things down in a simple manner. I’m also currently taking her lab course which is also great and provides CME hours. So glad I found her!
