Great interview with Bernie! He never deviated from his core set of beliefs, and he’s a master at answering questions very succinctly but with delicacy. Now the but, Lovett’s subsequent interview with Whiny Early Millennial was another story. I would encourage WEM to explore the demography and culture of the generation preceding his a little closer. GenX is by no means defined by Alex P Keaton, actually a small subset, it’s also a mix of his siblings, Reality Bites, Madonna, Heathers all the way to my spouse and his siblings to me (late GenX). Ken Martin sounds like a guy who knows his efforts and he is pathetically spinning BS to buy time as he tries to continually bail water out of a sinking ship. Can D’s succeed without the DNC cause I won’t be giving them a penny.

Ken Martin’s refusal to release the 2024 "after-action report" is infuriating. Holding back this information makes him appear, shady, dishonest, and condescending. He appears to believe his intelligence is so superior that no one else could find added value in the details he claims to have gathered. His insistence to piecemeal out information at his leisure contradicts his repeated accusation that anyone else viewing those facts would simply be “navel gazing”.

Excellent interview Jon , thank you. I found Martin’s responses quite alarming. Ken Martin comes across as defensive and evasive as Hegseth did in his testimony before Congress. Unwilling to take any responsibility for problems, dismissive of any criticism, but anxious to take credit for victories whether deserved or not. Also, while he admonished those who would look backward, he’s awfully quick to find fault in Perez’s chairmanship. I never liked him as DNC Chair. I thought that the Wisconsin Dem Chair would have been a better choice. I don’t know how important the DNC is to winning in 26 or 28, but it doesn’t appear that they can be a positive force with Martin at the helm.

John, your interview with the DNC chair was an example of the err of the Democratic Party John. But John, are giving out the information, John. John go to our website. John, we’re being perfectly transparent and a very GOP way. Oh JOHN, I listen to this podcast JOHN and although it was very painful, listening to that DNC hack, I listened to the whole thing John. Why is the DNC chair so combative and gas lighting the host and everyone he is talking to on this show? Hold them accountable and be critical even if you support them.

Good interviewing in this latest episode questioning the DNC leader about the 2024 autopsy. What he was saying made no sense. He provides a textbook example what is wrong with the party and why we keep losing. The party wants our votes and money but zero transparency or accountability to make good on their promises. I appreciate this podcast for holding them to the fire to hold the dnc leaders accountable.

I’m calling BS on DNC Chair Ken Martin. I’ve been a Dem since helping my parents manage JKK’s campaign HQ in a small town in OK. He doesn’t speak for me.

It felt like the interview with the DNC chairman sounded like a parody of Marge Gunderson interrogating Jerry Lunegaard for 45 minutes.. The smarmy, condescending, non answer answers were so infuriating, and telling to be honest. This guy IS what is wrong with the Democrat party right now. We can do better. And, if we don’t, soon, it won’t matter.

Love the podcast. However your interview with Ken Martin is exactly why I haven’t donated to the DNC dine the 2024 elections. He sounds I like he is hiding information that would be very helpful to reveal. I’m sure a lot of small time donors like myself feel similarly.

I’m only vaguely aware of this 2024 postmortem report, started seeing conspiracy theories online and thought not much of it, and after listening to this interview, I am, well, kinda angry. Maybe a lot. Thanks for being tenacious. How dumb do these party leaders think we are? I’m used to it from the RNC and MAGA, but DNC giving them a run for their money. I thought of DNC as more bumbling, but this feels like a weird suppression effort that will only trigger a massive Streisand effect.

Ken Marten's performance on the April 29th episode was like listening to the world's most broken record, over and over again, refusing to ACTUALLY answer the question of why they aren't releasing the report. I don't think anybody had much faith in the DNC, but what little optimism they had must be absolutely quashed now. Otherwise I love the show ❤️

This episode featuring the DNC Chairman was a masterclass in political condescension. It is incredibly insulting to hear a leader who campaigned on a promise of a "brutally honest" autopsy report perform a complete about-face now that the results are in. Instead of the promised transparency, we’re being fed curated "lessons" and told that wanting to see the actual data is just "re-litigating the past." It feels less like a political strategy and more like the Epstein files—a calculated effort to gatekeep information and protect the establishment from accountability. Treating the base like children who can’t handle the truth is exactly how you lose the trust of the people you need to mobilize. We are stakeholders in this party, not just a focus group to be managed. If the DNC wants us to look to the future, they need to stop hiding the reality of the past. Disappointing interview and an even more disappointing lack of integrity from the DNC.

I only lasted about 10 minutes into this conversation. After the 15th time he said “we’re looking to the future ” to avoid releasing their own report I gave up. How sad. I’m an independent voter but as long as we’re stuck with a two party system we need a strong Democratic Party to vote for. Ken Martin is very disheartening. We need someone who can answer in a straight forward manner. Please.
