These guys were cutting edge back in 2017, but they’ve become irrelevant in the last few years because of the growth of the many YouTube channels that these guys essentially parrot hours later. I see no reason to continue listening to them. In fact, I usually listen to them while I shower and brush my teeth and then delete the rest of the show since I can predict what they’ll talk about next and I have better things to do. Now, I think I’ll just not listen at all. They had their day, but they’re done.

I don’t know how you do it, but you manage to make interesting guests sound boring. (Mayor Pete was on recently. I got excited bc he always gives a good interview. But it was a yawn fest.)

Pod Save is a must during this fascist takeover. They certainly don’t sugarcoat it but they also give me enough *realistic* optimism to not give up. It would be easy to be all doom and gloom (and trust, there is a lot of doom). What’s not easy is finding ways to keep pushing forward at a time when democrats have absolutely ZERO control. Critics love to claim the Pod Save “bros” are coastal elites but this progressive Kansan woman enthusiastically disagrees.

The hosts are at their best when not preening to a live audience. It’s inevitable, I realize, but, as I don’t hold this podcast in higher adulation than others (I listen and assess for the information, not to be part of a following), the more meaningful discussion (vs ego) for me, the better. So I skip live recordings. Can’t do the “celebrity” thing, although I get people really like that kind of thing.

There are Neoliberals on both sides, the “Dems” are just a slower version. This pod is meant to uphold that status quo. The only thing they’re good for is pissing off ultra conservatives, otherwise you won’t find this group saving anything.

If you have a moral compass avoid them.

You guys wait until death has gripped just about every inch of Gaza to actually speak up about it? There is a deep sickness in the political podcast streams.. to put it lightly.
