This podcast started out so great. It’s unfortunate the Hawley interview didn’t address nepotism or who TF thought Jenna Tatum’s character was a good idea. I miss Firefly. I watched the DVD on repeat during chemo. I’m sad to find out the stars are so casually antisemitic. I know that’s the “correct” attitude in the entertainment industry right now, but it’s still disappointing.

I’m sitting here in the main room of a very space age house my dad built when I was a kid with Penelope, our 100 year old parlor stove heating the room on this cold day. My wife and I have been watching Firefly again and truly enjoying the contrast between space age and old western.

This is, without a doubt, my favorite podcast. Listening to Nathan and Alan is like hanging out with two best friends from high school. I relate to their humor and their observations of life because they are so much like mine. These are the kinds of things I would say if I had a podcast! Oh, yeah, and the stories and the content are really good too. Keep it up, guys!

Have been a fan of Alan and Nathan since Firefly (and Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place). It's great to hear these two guys (and all their awesome guests) talk about their experiences. But more than that, the sense of close friendship and mutual admiration that they all have for each other makes this podcast great. We should all be as lucky as them to have friendships as they do.

I didn’t realize I needed this. Alan and Nathan but especially Alan are so damn funny together. This podcast is perfect. I can’t believe it hasn’t blown up with followers yet. Also, hoping they’ll start doing video soon.

What an amazing walk through the minds of Nathan and Alan, and their guests, touching on the different fan bases they have created. It’s a veritable cornucopia of head canon, inside information, and getting to know people who were once spacemen!

I look forward to every Wednesday now to listen to Once We Were Spacemen! These guys have always been favorites of mine and together they nail it! I laugh out loud every time I listen to them together. This is the first time I’ve joined a podcasts Patreon, well worth it! Keep up the great work guys!

I stared listening because of Firefly, but it is so much more than that. Alan and Nathan have such a good rapport and they are consistently hilarious and entertaining. I have found myself actually laughing out loud whether because it was something I related to or because it was something so terrible and hilarious that I could not help myself. I hope they are able to keep going with this.

I’ve only listened to the first episode so far, but I am thoroughly delighted. Can’t wait for more.

I am loving this show! I’m a long time fan of the hosts and their guests, and this podcast goes to show why. They are hilarious, but also so kind to one another. You get a glimpse of Hollywood behind the scenes, and laugh out loud repeatedly while doing so. And at yhe end of each episode, you just feel good. Keep on flyin’ guys!

Looking forward to the animated version of Firefly! The crew of Serenity was from all types of situations: the quintessential motley crew of desperate souls each with their own personal issues, secrets and shady backstories. The world is like the Wild West, but in space! You don’t need ETs to make this interesting being as the various planets are peopled with human immigrants bringing their human egos with fears, greeds and loves along for the ride. How the crew interacts with such a mix of cultural backgrounds and motivations makes interesting plots and allows for great character development. Thank you Nathan for all your hard work! Looking forward to seeing you all fly again!!! Claim the skies!

Like they say, it means more to the viewer when you know that the actors onscreen are actually friends. This friendship, that could have lasted only for a brief spot of time in the early 2000s has grown and matured. The. They bring in other friends, who are just as funny and insightful. It is a feel-good show. Especially for two spacemen and those who loved to watch them fly.

Loving this podcast not just cause I am a space man fan. The discussions are very interesting to get a glimpse into the Hollywood world.

So glad I found this podcast. As a huge science fiction fan as well as fan of Firefly, I’ve really enjoyed it the interviews or just the random conversation conversations Nathan and Alan. They have a great rapport that really translates well to this medium. Also, I would really like to know the name of the tour that Nathan took in London with the street art. That sounds really cool. This podcast is pure entertainment. Their interviews are special, but even when it’s just the two of them talking about anything and everything, it’s a joy, and always has me laughing out loud. Their genuine friendship warms my heart.

Being a firefly fan and a fan of these two wonderful gentlemen, I must say that this is a very entertaining podcast that I look forward to listening to on my way to work every day. Nathan and Allen bring up some of the most interesting topics to talk about and their guess are all down to earth very entertaining. I will recommend this to anyone. Who enjoys good friendly conversation with some insight into Hollywood brown coats unite let’s get firefly going again.

It didn’t take long for this to become one of favorite podcasts. Nathan’s and Alan’s years of experience in the industry is so insightful and fun to listen to. Of course I am enjoying the interviews of all of the old Firefly cast but there is so much more to the podcast than that.

I have been following Nathan and Alan throughout their careers, since I watched Firefly. These two just show how close they are and how much fun they have together. I’m sure I am not the only fan who wants to be part of their friend group! I look forward to all their episodes! Keep it up guys! This is a great listen to anyone who is part of their fanverse.

I *love* this podcast! I find myself laughing so hard while listening to it—the wit and humor of Nathan & Alan are slap-ya-mama funny. Seriously. Maybe not your mama, though. Maybe an unsuspecting gnome. Slap-a-gnome funny, that what Nathan and Alan are.

These two are so special. Their type of humor is not for everyone but it sure is for me! It feels like sitting around with two weird, slightly offkilter friends who are always good for a great story and a laugh.

When I first heard about this podcast, I couldn’t wait to start listening and boy have I not been every week? It has just gotten better and better the two of them together are like old friends reminiscing about past work and friendships and funny and adults keep it up.

Five stars, love these guys, so awesome to hear all the cool lore and stories.

As I dive into Once We Were Spacemen, I can’t help but feel like these two guys have still got it. Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk bring such a refreshing, funny, and self-deprecating energy to the show. It’s a perfect mix of humor and insight that makes it feel like you’re just hanging out with old friends who get it. These two have moved on to different roles over the years, but this show still hits for everyone who ever felt the pull of the Firefly universe. What’s amazing is how they not only reflect on their experiences but really dig into the heart of what made Firefly so special. It wasn’t just about the show; it was about what we, the Browncoats, stood for. Fighting for rights and respect but above it all sky is still free. Nathan and Alan take that ethos and weave it into every episode, reminding us of what could be possible. They bring on so many incredible guests—each one offering new insights, stories, and reflections that keep the legacy of Firefly alive, but also build on it.

Quite literally the funniest, and educational?, podcast I’ve listened to in quite some time. I binged all the episodes when I first added it to my library. Now I have to wait patiently for future episodes.
