My guilty pleasure, I tap as soon as the episodes are dropped. Is it an acquired taste? Well, sure. Just like contemporary art and the many little social corners that exist within.

Not for “newbie’s”. But if you have built your life in the “Art World” then these folks are a must to hear! It’s more how the art world we live in is “making it”. Which is real important if that’s where you go to make your living as well as where you to make your “best of all world’s” life. Many thanks for making good art business sense out of our diversely complicated existence.

What’s up Nate and Ben??? Where have you been??? I know you’re busy jet setting and finding the best and brightest artists, gallerists, collectors and shows for us —and stopping at some Barry’s along the way!!— but we need the pod! Two months is too long. Scarf some JG Melon and get on the mics.

Really gross, self-satisfied coverage of the art world. Unabashed in its blatant complicity with the ultra-rich. Can’t believe these guys can sleep at night honestly. Like if you have this insider perspective of the hushed happenings within this opaque market/world and have a podcast at least use your position (and Ivy League skillset as a “journalist” NATE) to provide the slightest amount of friction against it. Is it worth it guys? I’m sure being the disposable puppets of billionaires comes with some temporary perks but for Christ’s sake this is bleak boys.

These are the two most obnoxious humans I’ve ever listened to.

But then I realized that it wasn’t. Sincere would also be incorrect. Deeply out of touch, asking mostly the wrong questions, and somehow of the year 2002, in very un-joyful ways. Good luck guys!

Big fan

A must-listen for any artist or collector curious about the self satisfied, soulless, power-worshipping center of the art world. Comes across as parody, but it ain’t.

Just when I wonder whether the art market is centred on over indulged white men who name drop about parties, house visits and what coffee they have ordered within their day of nepotistic socialising, I find confirmation within this podcast that, yep, it is. Thanks for the confirmation and for the motivation to inspire change. Three stars for inspiring motivation to find something other than this.

I really want to like this podcast, but they are constantly drooling over Jordan Wolfson, Lucas Zwirner, and Alex Israel. They consistently trash and make fun of female gallerists and women in the art world. I think you guys can do better!

These hosts have given in to the dark side. The podcast is a brag/bro fest about schmoozing with power. I used to love Nate Freeman’s take on the late Artsy podcast. I can’t believe how gross his coverage of the art world has become. I understand money is the crux of the contemporary art world, but dear lord, could you possibly indulge in the “scene” while holding a smidgen of distance and critical thinking about wealth and class? The rich have eaten Nate alive.

I look forward to every episode , Ben and Nate are a great pair , informative and hillarious! It’s so much fun to listen to them walk us through the art world events and trends.

If it’s been said that some people “have faces for radio,” then these guys have “voices for print media.” It grates on the ears like a vocal fried LES brunch. But still…somehow, I can’t wait to hear the next episode.

Art shows/fairs, market updates, snarky gossip, and the promise of sick merch - what’s not to love?

Ben and Nate give me just what I need to keep eye rolls out of the household addressing the things I enjoy so much (and get caught laughing audibly at) as I move through my days. Art market banter, just enough inside baseball gossip to keep me entertained, educated assessments of all things culture… what’s not to love? I’ve listened to every episode the day it drops and only wish the guys would another another 1-2/ week. As a recent NY to LA transplant - it’s a chance for me to sit next to dinner virtually with the guys. I also like Benjamin’s journey for voracious carnivore to vegan and back to a balanced mix. We are lucky the guys have made it to la with the pod, the edges of aspen and who can’t wait for boat riding pods from Venice? Keep on keeping on ✌🏼

consistently New York’s best restaurant podcast. Occasional Kingston, NY restaurant reviews as well. There are a lot of asides about art - the hosts are oddly well-informed on that topic, and the guests seem interested in it as well, curiously. Worth a listen if you’re into that sort of thing.

I enjoy the pod and look forward to the next one. With an in depth knowledge of the market and all the business that goes into it, it’s enjoyable because it feels like a casual chat while gaining insight on what’s current and not and the guests are always fantastic. Keep up the good work!

This is perfect antidote to the self-serious pods everywhere – I strongly suggest listening with a martini in one hand, search engine at the ready in the other. I love this podcast for the same reason I walked out of Uncut Gems THREE TIMES…amazingly uncomfortable on so many levels yet unrelenting. Respect both the intellect and the bravery to stare down the backlash I’m sure they’re getting.

Listened while working in studio, which I was nervous would be counterproductive, given the content, but the opposite occurred. Really chill, nice pace. Was pleasantly entertained while accomplishing things. Great resource for folks who don’t want to go out very much. Thanks!
