Everything is burning down, but don’t worry NY, Rory and Mal will still be talking about if J Cole’s album will drop today or not(no shade to Cole, I’ll leave that to Mal). Just cuz you don’t speak about it, doesn’t mean it is not happening.

I finally unsubscribed. I get it, it’s my opinion but it seems like alot of listeners don’t like Mal’s asinine opinions. Even the co-host appear to be tired about his salty ignorant takes. I tried to support since you guys left JBP but can’t take it in 2026. Wish you guys success of course!

Demaris is irritating. They all are

I’m very picky with my podcast choices. I like strong takes with comedy mixed in. I’ve listened to every episode and will continue to do so. I’m Rory’s age and find my self agreeing with a lot of both Rory and Mal’s views on different pop culture topics. If you’re born in the late 80s early 90’s this podcast is for you. Keep up the great work and forget the haters.

Rory is gross!

These are the biggest haters in hip-hop. It’s people like them that ruin hip hop and ruin the culture. Just a bunch of really bitter haters that are not only ignorant to hip hop culture but are antithetical to it because they are just horrible human being. Trash in trash out.

Would highly prefer a baby d and Rory podcast. No words for how terrible mal is as a podcaster and his opinions on everything are extremely biased. Definitely the leftover d list from JBP.

Rory is a little entertaining and Mal is Corny just saying the same things over and over again. Baby D is cool though

Worst A mic podcaster I’ve ever heard the very definition of failing upwards

If you sit wherever you are and say, “Cherokee, I don’t like Rory & Mal’s podcast,” that automatically lets me know you’re just hating because they’re hilarious, real, and not afraid to have serious conversations. This podcast is great! I often find myself laughing while listening. I’m so glad my honey put me on to their podcast fr. I’ve been tuned in ever since. Shout out to Jevonte for putting me on, and shout out to Rory, Mal, Baby D and everyone who works behind the scenes for keeping it entertaining and making me actually want to listen every week. I always said I’d never pay to listen to a podcast, but… never say never because they’re worth it lol. Now they just need to go ahead and drop that Rory & Mal coffee mug so I can buy it for my honey! -ckb

The ads are insane

Mal has slowly eroded any credibility they had and Rory hasn’t done enough to stop him. Zero accountability, outrage for the sake of outrage, boring. “Had a spark when you started but now you’re just garbage”

I can understand why Joe was done with Mal. Rory is a little more level headed. Mal is delusional with his love for Drake. It's fine to like his music, but to the point of saying that Drake has the better bars in the battle. Drake's bars was so basic. Mal's opinion on a lot of other stuff has been questionable at best.

The show is regressing and content is getting stale. I can’t believe there is “ 2 best of “ episodes 5 months in and the “ don’t know ball “ episodes I am not a fan of. It’s regurgitating what is already out there in the podcast space.. aka The Pivot, All the Smoke and 7PM in Brooklyn. I hope they didn’t lose Baby D bc she is a pillar on this show.. I am a fan of these dudes and the content they produce when they are on their game. But lately it’s been mid to lazy with pockets of peak comedy.

The fact that Mal stated that we should all move past the Drake/Kendrick beef after that terrible PND collab album dropped only for him to bring up the beef when J.Cole dropped a song IS CRAZY. I feel like Rory and Damaris are ready to pack their bags and head over Joe’s couch at this point. Mal’s been difficult to listen to for awhile now

Really disappointed Rory & Mal split ways with JBP. At first glance, one would think to blame the white guy. But honestly, Mal is more Caucasian than my fraternity brother. In a previous episode, the urbanite didn’t understand why ginger was uncomfortable saying “YN”. It was obvious to everyone else in the room and appreciated by me, personally. I’ve always respected the moments when Phi chooses not to speak on certain topics, simply because he feels it may easily be manipulated against them. However, that other individual is a disease. 🦠 We live in a post democratic society which is becoming more authoritarian each week. I could feel this dark YT supremacy vibe increasing daily and expressed to a family member serious concerns about the safety of our people. It’s not just us under siege, but that is where my focus will always remain. I understand that we do not always give a single word about one another but… In true MAGA fashion, my distant cousin Mal criticizes the halftime show. Someone please explain where this brother is from. Not the naybahood in which he was raised, but rather which part of Africa did his ancestors originate? K Dot performed a modern day wade in the water and buddy roe raises an argument about the man’s catalogue?! Sir Mal himself should have dressed up as Uncle Sam instead of that actor who played in Django. Respectfully. The juxtaposition with Rory & Mal is nasty.

“I’m NEVER speaking from insider information.” Which confirms something I’ve been thinking, Mal hasn’t spoken to Drake. Mal sends an 8 paragraph txt to Drake and Drakes sends back a thumbs up and moneybag emojis. His takes are dumb and his debate style is bursting with false equivalencies. He brings down all good topics of conversation, EVERYTIME. It’s like his only strategy is to tire them out with ridiculous takes.

Mal has become unbearable, each week is getting cringier. This Grammy episode is just sad how weak and bitter he sounds still holding unto the Drake loss.

It’s soo hard to listen to this pod like I use to. Maneuvering around Mal’s semantics. Baby D is so much colder and curt with her responses. Rory is just doing his best to maintain the status quo but it’s clearly different. Feels like I won’t be tuning in much longer when other pods are covering the same topics with more joy and levity

Listened to R&M for years but to say this show fell off would be understating it. They’ve gone from respected voices in hip-hop to a full blown clownshow in the last year. Can’t in good conscience recommend this trash to anyone.
