Politics
Very disappointed to listen to someone bash the president of the United States. It doesn’t matter what political party you stand with you can still respect one another. This was completely embarrassing. I was a fan of this show until the latest episode.

Vivian is great, but bad moves to interview Garg, a huge MAGA.

LOVE VIVIAN!
Vivian has taught me financial literacy through social media and now through her podcast. She describes situations and offers advice in basic terms anyone can digest. I enjoy her content and look forward to reading her new book!

Money and Love
I LOVE how Vivian mentioned equity as a way to maintain autonomy in a partnership. This is how I’ve seen my friends do it with rent and it ended up not being the reason for fights or moving out. Also, love a lot of her content - she’s in rotation regularly

Interesting, informative
I have listened periodically throughout the years, and feel like her guests and topics are nicely varied. I’ll be listening more regularly now.

Did you write a book?
Over time this has just become much more hocking her own products and ego.

Feels like a long ad
I initially really enjoyed earlier episodes where interviewees had good real life advice for women, like contract negotiation. But more recent episodes just feel like a platform for business owners to market their company without giving much practical advice. Some of the stories they share are interesting but not educational from a finance standpoint. They really lost me with the episode about doulas. It spread some medical misinformation and neither the host nor interviewee had the appropriate background to make some of the statements they made. Frankly I felt like they were just trying to sell you something.

Fluff
Skip. A lot of this is just personality mixed with minimal real life tips. But hey she has to run her media empire

I miss the old N&C
This pod has changed over the years, for better or for worse. Guest interviewees are sometimes valuable, sometimes uninterestin. Much of it seems not as relatable to the average person. Certain ad partners definitely raise an eyebrow, like get your bag, but seems like it’s superficial and appealing to the masses rather than the audience. Not a huge fan of Viv‘s interview style. She often repeats exactly what the interviewee just ended on in effort to make a smooth transition, while some questions come at a hard pivot. It often feels like a checklist rather than a conversation. I hope she is open to feedback to improve her evergrowing platform. Looking forward to what‘s next.

hot dog king episode
What a good episode. Vivian’s interview style is so casual and inviting making the content accessible. Appreciated hearing from the hot dog king!

Amazing episode with hot dog king
I loved this episode so much you should interview for more small business owners like him because we only get to see on main media the big dogs, but this is such an inspirational story. I really enjoyed listening and it’s valuable for everybody because most of us are small people that just want to get ahead

Good at first
This podcast has some great information but she has gotten so political since Trump got into office. It’s exhausting.

Informative and genuine
I discovered Vivian’s work through YouTube, and now I’m a regular listener of her podcast. She is fantastic at explaining financial matters with genuine compassion and patience. She tells it like it is. Give her a listen!

Practical
Practical and very informative podcast, but there is a volume issue. The intro music and advertisement sound levels are much louder than the actual podcast so I constantly have to adjust the volume throughout each episode. It would be helpful if the producer can equalize and level them appropriately.

I just can’t…
I really wanted to like this show but after trying several episodes I find it to be both tone deaf and so utterly shallow. Perhaps as a working woman interested in investing and self improvement this just isn’t the podcast for my demographic.

Such a great podcast with detailed information. She has clarified so many things for me. Sometimes I need to listen to these podcasts in .75 time so I can keep up with all the details that she rapidly shares to be sure I grasp it all. Keep it coming! I’m here for it. Thank you!

Best personal finance podcast out there
Forget the whole “spend less and get rich” trope. Your rich BFF explains why you can’t coupon your way into wealth - you need to invest. Vivienne is relatable, direct, and up to date on current financial topics. She asks all of the questions you don’t dare ask your financially savvy friends and helps listeners understand the larger financial system.

Stop the angst spread
Bought the book, read it, grant it there are some important tips but overall the book and the narrative is very segregation prone and reads to be racist sort of speak. Stick to the facts and don’t blame riches to white people. All Americans work hard to gain wealth no matter their skin color.
Sinamoca
Vapid and thirsty
This show is just a lot of hot air. The host is grating in that even when she has an interesting guest, she cuts them off at every turn to insert her 2 cents. Worth less than 2 cents as this person obviously doesn’t know much and has made a business off of googling stuff and repeating that superficial knowledge in a loud voice. If you like to listen to someone being rude to their guests and not saying much of substance this is the show for you. Sad because personal finance is an important topic - better for people to learn from licensed professionals with more than 2 years relevant work experience tho.

Great advice!
This podcast is wonderful and chock full of good real estate, investing and saving advice. My only concern: Vivian PLEASE stop interrupting your guests. Let them speak and finish a sentence. Thank you!

Not that helpful
Often these feel like promotional interviews where the rich promote each other off a base of hopeful people that could find real financial educations elsewhere.

Great!
Great advice and on point!

It’s great, sometimes
I love the episodes where she doesn’t have guests. Her guests are primarily people who are trying to promote themselves rather than focus on the title of the episode. At times she asks questions that as a listener, you would be interested in, but then they go on and talk about themselves again with no insight, just sharing their experience.
However, the episodes where there are no guests are very insightful. You can also find te information she has provided in her book.

New to financial literacy
Started out informative, not anymore.
The early episodes were much more informative, specifically the ones with no guests and just Vivian giving info. Increasingly each guest shares less info and just talks about whatever they’re selling or their brand. Now some of them are just long commercials for sweet greens or whatever.

My favorite wealth building community💌
One of the most consistent pieces of advice rich people in my life have given is to find a finance bestie; someone who works in finance and speaks the language fluently so I can familiarize myself with it. As I’m growing my income through my entrepreneurial journey, this podcast makes money a fun game instead of a tumultuous topic. I’m learning what systems, strategies, and rules work in my favor and which ones need reform. Vivian is a GEM for sharing her knowledge with us and connecting us to more experts that inspire and give so generously🤍

Updating my review
Previously I complained about Vivian promoting fast fashion brands and mentioned how Blogilates has pointed out how her designs have been stolen by these types of brands. Well this week I felt heard and seen!
I was very happily surprised when she had Cassey as a guest this week. I’ve loved her yoga mats from the start, read her book, downloaded her apps, and so forth. I’ve definitely been a popster. It was nice to see Vivian promoting a small business entrepreneur, not just Marshall’s.
I can say the Bala bangle weights are worth it, btw. I prefer them to resistance bands any day.
The rest is my prior comment:
There are some tools I never would have guessed we’re out there! If you ever do a mortgage episode, I think it would be valuable to break down the total costs of the different types (doctor loans, FHA, standard 30 yr, and 15 yr) along with how the costs vary with credit scores. Many people fixate on buying a home without realizing all the interest and fees and these topics need to be discussed by an expert that can make things simple. Also, total costs, not just monthly.

Great podcast, sponsored by Marshall’s
The sponsors take up way too much time and energy
Nick1992-1992
One big Marshall’s ad
I cannot, I’m deleting my recent download and unsubscribing. The Keltie Knight episode is a HUGE Marshall’s ad with no money advice at all. They work it into the conversation so much that it’s annoying, then towards the end they reveal they’re both sponsored by Marshall’s and involved in some kind of event hosted by them. What a waste of an episode and my time, seriously. I’m disappointed that I trusted My Rich BFF to give me valuable information, yet she stole my time by misleading me on what this episode would be about and how it could enhance my life. Vivian, you lost me with this one, there was no gain to your listeners here.

I loved all the clips I was able to see on Pinterest, as I don’t have any other social media platforms. When Vivian spoke about her podcast, I immediately started listening and do so every week!

Investing
I love your show and I have learned so much from it! I’m in my 30s and earn about 60k a year. I’ve wanted to start a Roth IRA but I don’t know where to start, how much to put it in or, when i can use it. Also, I hear you mentioning index funds? Does that work together with the Roth IRA? I am so confused! I listen to your episodes when I head to work and I feel it’s such a good use of my time. Thank you for what you do!!

Too many ads
This podcast is essentially an ad for marshall’s. Also, the fact that she took a shein ad is wild to me and makes me feel like $$$ is all that matters for her ads it’s such an awful company.

I know Vivian’s position on finances is not ultra frugality but the episodes have turned into a Marshall’s ad. Just seems counter intuitive to advertise the sort of non essential empty spending that you do at a Marshall’s or TJ Maxx.
