If you deal with humans you need this podcast
This is possibly the most consequential podcasts to my work and life out of all the podcasts I love. I found Kwame thanks to NPR when looking around for resources involving conflict resolution to share with my workplace and he has had monumental influence on me and my workplace! Even though I have since had formal training in conflict management and reflective structured dialogue, Kwame is my guiding light. I have kept a document with links to some of the best podcast episodes that I think are good for anyone’s career development (as I mentor a student leadership group) and the majority of them are from Negotiate Anything!

Great topic! Great interviewer!
With lots of great interviews of professional negotiators and persuaders - from academics to FBI agents to professional business negotiators. Host Kwame Christian covers topics as diverse as getting people to trust you, how to tell when people are lying, dealing with narcacists, and many more! His enthusiasm for the topics is absolutely infectious. I highly recommend “Negotiate Anything” if you’re trying to hone your negotiating skills - or just working to improve how you interact with people. Enjoy!

Life changing!!!
I am embarrassed to say that I just came across this podcast recently thanks to the Mel Robbins podcast and realized it has been on for almost 10 years. Now I can see why it has such staying power! This podcast for me is not only helping me with my sales techniques and negotiation skills, but it’s also like therapy! I see Kwame as a friend who is talking directly into my ear about things that happen every day and he and his amazing guests are giving me real time, relevant advice and solutions on how to deal with very important issues. I love this podcast, I look forward to it, and I hope it continues for many years to come!

almost all reruns now
and they aren’t even flagged that way anymore. In fact the summaries are rewritten in ai to disguise the fact they’re reruns and i waste my time listening to 5 minutes before i constantly realize this. i’ve now been forced to unsubscribe from this in all my podcast platforms since it’s a waste of time

I’m writing this review not to be a jerk but I’m hoping Kwame reads this. Long time listener, so obviously I’m not a hater. This show would be better by distilling actual practical memorable take aways. Kwame, I get that mirroring what the person said shows you are listening but you anchor on this way too much and it’s the show an artificial, sycophantic quality that make it seem like you have nothing to ACTUALLY contribute to the conversation that the listener finds interesting. Like dude, we just heard them say that, having you regurgitate back what they said in a slightly different form each time makes the show hard to listen to at times. Can you stop doing that? Can you be 3% more edgy and have some unique view points!? I know you have them but you’ve decided to be do the show like a sycophantic therapist robot

Something for everyone
I recently had the pleasure of meeting and working with Kwame in person. Negotiate Anything is a refreshing introduction to otherwise over-saturated “self help” and “career” podcast marketplaces. The range of perspectives Kwame introduces reiterates that there is always something to learn from our peers. By the end of each episode, I find that I am invigorated and inspired to implement the tangible tips in my personal and professional life. I highly recommend Negotiate Anything.

When you realize how often we negotiate things, you’ll understand why this podcast is so great.
The host has a very practical way of approaching every day negotiations. Many people thing negotiations only happen in board rooms or court rooms. They forget everyone negotiates every day. Whether it’s a merger or who gets control of the remote, the tips and tools the host discusses in her podcast are great nuggets of knowledge. Full disclosure, I attended one of Alice’s negotiation workshops, so I was predisposed to like her content. She is an excellent educator and facilitator. The format of the podcast is right on the money. It’s short enough to keep my attention but thorough enough to explore the topic well. Keep up the great work!!

Negotiation & beyond!
What I love about this podcast is that Kwame doesn’t discuss just the specifics of negotiation in a traditional sense, but how to relates to other facets of our life and career. He’s smart and so easy to listen to!

Negotiation, psychology, empathy, and more!
I love Kwame’s interview style and the wide range of topics covered on the podcast. Really great podcast for being a better negotiator, communicator, and human in general. And I love the motto that “the best things in life are on the other side of difficult conversations.” So prolific that the only downside is that it’s hard to keep up with all the episodes!

Too much advertisement and no real tips
I listened to a couple of shows, the guests just shared how good their programs are, but I didn’t learn any useful tips unfortunately.

I always learn something new
I return to this podcast time after time to hear from business experts who have expertise that I don’t. I appreciate Kwame’s wide range of guests - I learn how to enhance my negotiations and communications from all angles, not just an “I must negotiate to win!” angle.

Such a broad range of topics
Negotiation is such a broad topic with so many angles. Kwame brings on a variety of guests who together in conversation, touch on so many aspects of negotiation.

Creative framing & diverse perspectives
I find Kwame’s creative framing of how negotiation occurs in our every day lives to be compelling. It’s true that we are negotiating all day every day. Kwame’s found a way to bring disparate issues together around the singular topic of negotiations. The podcast is accessible, fun, and varied.

Kwame makes negotiation fun!
I love how Kwame takes such an important & generally “serious” topic & make it simple & relatable. The way he breaks things down is super helpful & it makes you feel really confident & capable when it comes to navigating difficult conversations.

How I learned about negotiation!
Negotiate Anything opened up a whole new world of negotiation for me! As a recovering "people pleaser" faced with conflict or difficult conversations daily, I often shied away from tough conversations until I found this podcast. As the show has grown in popularity over time, I can see just how many lives are being positively impacted. It’s awesome!!! I particularly enjoy the "sparring sessions" because it's something other podcast hosts simply aren't willing to do. As the guest list continues to get better and better, I'm thrilled to be an enduring supporter no matter the circumstance.

GREAT way to level-up as a negotiator!
As a longtime negotiator, I have found this podcast to be exactly what I need: a variety of viewpoints on a diverse array of topics from people with expertise in the field. This is a convenient way to stay sharp and engaged for both new and seasoned negotiators!

An incredibly generous podcast host
I came across Negotiate Anything in late summer while researching ways to improve my communication skills. It is now among one of three shows I have saved to my library (I used to suffer from podcast overload, so I’m quite selective). Even when the topic or interviewee might not be in an area directly related to my own line of work or concern, there’s usually some insight or “Aha” I can glean. On top of that, the primary host, Kwame, strikes me as an incredibly empathetic, approachable and versatile person — half the battle of a good podcast, IMHO, is having a dialed-in presenter, and he does it with aplomb and obvious passion for his subject matter.

Great listening!
Hi, I have been listening throughout my journey interviewing for a new sales/events job. I’ve completed my 2nd interview last week with this small local magazine. The interview went great. Last thing the publisher told me is “I’d like to have you back next week to hash out the “hard details” “ I emailed a follow up and received the response stating she’d like me back but called the next meeting a “3rd inferview” . What can I expect in a 3rd interview/ hard details? This is a small magazine not a huge corporation. My follow up question is, this week I’m prepping for this 3rd interview by listening to your podcasts that apply to negotiating. The stipulation is that ideally I don’t want a 9-5 at an office, I work best on a flex schedule. I mentioned it during the first and second interview and it didn’t seem they like to work that way. However for me to at my best I need to at least try to make it as flexible as possible. Any advice how to negotiate this? Sincerely, Kim
