This is my News Station
Since Native Land Pod has been created, I’ve been an active listener. I am extremely picky on what information I consume and share with my loved ones. NLP has consistently kept me in the loop of what is happening in real time. I’ve also learned about other reputable news outlets that I can rely on for reliable information. Thank you Angela, Andrew, Tiffany, and Bakari (shoutout to Columbia,SC.) for providing a space for the Black community and beyond to engage with what’s happening in politics and culture.

Free Tiffany Cross!!!
I loved this show, been a faithful listener since day one, I stopped listening since Tiffany C exited because of that debacle with Charlemagne and her sticking to her opinion and not apologizing. Free Tiffany Cross! I love all the other anchors too, but bring her back!

I don’t understand why the Reverend wants to confess now! The time to show concern would have been when he saw Donald Trump with Pat Roberts. Anyone who does not live under a rock knows that he is trouble. I deem it too late to apologize or have buyer’s remorse although he said he didn’t vote for Trump. However, Trump was allowed to fake his way into a Christian Society of which he has never been. Why did he choose to talk to you? Is it that we (black people) are expected to forgive? I think not! He like
many could have prevented the train wreck of Donald Trump from becoming President and was afraid to do so for one reason or another. Barkari Sellers says we should not throw anyone away, I choose not to entertain them.

Great Discussions…but
I listen weekly and never miss an episode. However, Andrew over talks Tiffany and Angela far too often, and speaks more than both of them. Often times Angela is in the middle of a thought/sentence and he will interrupt her. He does the same with Tiffany. He also makes snarky comments when either of them are speaking when they’re respectful and allow him to make his point. It would be nice if he stopped interrupting them and wasn’t so long winded so they have an opportunity to speak.
Adding to my review because the show is now the Andrew G. show and friends. Every episode he has to be reminded to stop talking so much. It’s exhausting. I’m still gonna listen though. lol

What a RIVETING and insightful podcast. I watched it on YouTube. Hearing Rev. Schenck not just recount his past but his current work of bringing groups together to help evolve through this overheated time of hate & division. Run DON’T walk to this episode. Well for all their pods but definitely this one. Welcome Home✊🏿

Bakari gotta go, no shade
Show has devolved since he was added. He’s a centrist, clearly, and has derailed serious conversations too many times. Maybe he can join a less serious, progressive show? He brings a kind of a machismo perspective that I really appreciated that Andrew did not bring as the only man on the show. I love Andrew and his emotional and political intelligence.

The Ultimate Dream Team!!!!!
I’ve been listening to Native Land since its inception and I am ECSTATIC to hear that Bakari Sellers and DR. Marc Lamont Hill have entered the chat -I am LOCKED IN. I enjoy hearing the perspectives of each and every member of the team, they each bring flavor that represents a diverse audience and conjoins us with valuable information that is suppressed in mainstream media. THANK YOU all for investing your time and wisdom.

I LOVE this podcast. But I would like to know the ways to continue my allyship. I have made it a point to follow black creators, even got a shout out from Tressie Macmillan Cottom(so exciting)
Can you maybe speak to that? I can’t bear what has been happening since 2016-

Great Podcast
I first heard of the show through the Joe Budden podcast, which is a show that in my opinion has heavily deteriorated in recent months. I agreed with a lot of Tiffany’s assessment of the cast and Marx’s presence there. Native Land is now my favorite podcast and I’ve started listening to every episode from the beginning. I have been a big fan of Angela Rye for years and just now learning more about Andrew and Tiffany. Keep up the great work and please do a reaction to the Nov 5 gov and mayor elections.

Angela brought me here, but I have grown to LOVE (not just respect) Tiffany, Andrew, and now Bakari. What dynamic, and interesting voices you have gathered here on this pod. Thoroughly enjoyed the honesty of everyone's different perspectives, and the mature and respectful (but passionate) way in which you all expressed yourselves during the discussion with Charlamain. I relate with the way Tiffany protects her peace. Bigotry and ignorance is exhausting. Thank you Bakari, and Charlamain for helping me see the value in challenging myself to grow in emotionally taxing situations, and perhaps bring an opportunity for growth in others listening to a "spirited" exchange of ideas/knowledge/beliefs. Where would we be if MLK, Ali, Malcolm, Baldwin and others didn't grace us with their courage and intellect in combatting ignorance head on? We are all better people for it. Keep up the great work guys. We need you.

WELCOME HOME
I really like this podcast because they are talking to “us” about how politics affect and contribute to our lives. A definite recommend to anyone looking for a politic related podcast. With that being said, please be aware of the resident “black man hater” Tiffany! In the same sentence she will say how much she loves black men and then trash them. Her same MO she had when she was on MSNBC. Andrew is the ultimate optimist. No matter how many times #ameriKKKa spits in our face, he doubles down on how much we must uphold and still believe in the “institution.” The way mainstream media tailors their narrative for a certain audience, this podcast is insightful and very good. Angela takes great offense when someone disagrees with her (which is why I will never send in a video), while saying she has no issue with disagreement. Also, stop calling them “mini pods” if they are just as long as a regular episode.

Elitist disguised as Humanitarians
I have been in the company of intelligent, talented, and privileged people of every race. This show has people with those qualities, yet those qualities also come with arrogance, unimaginative ideas and self-righteousness. Limo Liberals that write checks to fraternities and sororities rather than supporting BOBs.

Bashing other BLACK IP. Y’all sound like fake pro black bots. All the intellect in the world, but couldn’t see how that conversation caused separation in this space. Wish y’all success but that was a poor taste conversation.

Good mini episode! Even so, I’d like to know what Mr Sellers meant when he enrobed the word “leading” in the Black Girl Magic ethos. I think his choice of language is very telling, and not in a healthy way, at least to me.
Also, on Mr Sellers’s first episode on the podcast, his choice of words gave me pause. The comment in question was when the conversation shifted to engaging Whites on HBCU campuses - and most majorly the following discussion. Specifically, the punch for me was when he credited his “Southern” sensitivities/ideals to navigating politics. I would like for him to expand on that.
In all, I’ll keep listening.

Love the information and dedication of each Host Guest
Tough information needed in the most trying times and in the best of times. Thank you for keeping the energy, focus and challenge alive. This podcast paired with a few of my other favorites have helped to provide levity and fire in the face of direct attacks on history and presence.

Episode 94 was every thing!!! Black women we are feeling everything!!!!
Your podcast all the time as I think more people need to be reminded to be welcome back home!!
I share your same fear, concerns, and skepticism on what’s happened recently. And notice same as people in media seem to be accusing others of the recent violence. And there’s only been 1 person doing this! I’m disgusted on what media is doing. It’s making me sick!!! I live in SC, feel unsafe to speak my opinion for fear upon my life. All I can say is we need to reach out to these “other states” where votes matter and stop acting like we can’t do something for now. You all remind me of this!!

Actively Black Segment
I’m a big believer in supporting local businesses, and everything BLACK. So I enjoyed this episode, on that. Hearing from the founder of Actively Black, which I have a few items.
The only thing that hurts our community from moving forward in these areas, is primarily our we see ourselves and value ourselves for who we are. Not for the validation of another group.
So it starts local, we shop at a local black market for fresh produce, I attend a local black church, there are local black restaurants here in Durham, NC that we support first.
So it’s not what you say, it’s what you intentionally commit to. ✊🏿👊🏿

I listened to this podcast 2 days ago and I am hooked. I love the independent thinking. The openness for accountability. Each host has a different twist even when they agree. Yet, each host is open to being called out. They don’t feel compelled to agree with each other.
Andrew … whew! Delivered with love and compassion, but truth and wisdom.
Tiffany may as well grow a fro and put one of those black picks with the fist n her hair 😂😂😂 Love her! Angela too, but Tiffany is just so raw.
Love y’all!

With you!
I am a Boomer who has protested through marches, strikes, sit-ins, since the mid-sixties; and I continue to do so to this day. I am saddened that our country has been overtaken by billionaires and their ignorant puppet. But listening to you and following you all through your journeys has restored my hope that we will survive and prevail. With respect, a loving Auntie

The Tribunal of Truth
I love that the three of you have united to give us a layered, diverse, rich, and culturally salubrious perspectives to enrich our political education. “Pastor” Gillum speaks to the heart, “Best Friend” Angela is the fire, and “Lil Sis” Tiffany is the landscape; I have appreciated your individual journeys and am grateful for your collaborative enthusiasm to upend ignorance and uplift the revolution. Let’s keep it going 🎯

Reading Lists!!
Love the show (truly a vital part of my week, every week). And the most recent mini-pod really spoke to my spirit as an English professor at an HBCU with a background in African American (and Diasporic) Literature! Reading is vitally important and literacy (in whatever form) grows empathy of exactly the sort y’all talk about so often in these recent episodes. The Octavia Butler shoutout spoke to my spirit! Love what y’all do every week but this mini pod in particular was a treat!

Are We Going to War?
Keep up the great work. Please keep taking about the possibility that the election results may have been tampered with. More and more people are talking about how Kamala Harris got zero votes in several blue districts. How can that be?

Loving This Space
This podcast has been such a blessing. I tend to just listen and not give an opinion on podcast I love. The show is very informative and makes politics so much more digestible. The three hosts together are magic. Keep going! You guys are doing great work.

Great Content, Less Yelling / Arguing would be Better
The hosts are clearly friends who care about each other and have informative perspectives. However, sometimes the arguing, yelling, and talking over each other is too much. It’s also extremely hypocritical to spend hours upon hours each week criticising Trump, but then play ads supporting him. Practice what you preach and find sponsorship elsewhere from organisations and companies that are actually your values and those of your audience.

Trump Ads on Native Land Pod, why?
I love this podcast and am a day 1 listener. However, I was saddened to hear the first ad on today’s pod being a Trump ad. I know you need advertising to keep your show going but this is sad. Please do better. Thx.

Excited for Organizing Series
I know Andrew talked about how the Organizing Series isn’t flashy and may be boring to some. BUT I am excited about it because this is what is paralyzing me, I don’t understand how to organize and don’t know where to start. This will be very helpful!

Tiff’s Energy
This show is a great way to hear all sides. There is not universal agreement on issues or the solutions. This dynamic really allows for deep discussions, thinking critically, and going deeper into the most impactful issues facing the world today. I am going to say this though - Tiff’s energy is meeting the moment for me right now, you are a national treasure. Always appreciated her voice on the Cross Connection and have not watched MSNBC since she “left.”Keep up the great work!

Excellent Analysis
I’ve been listening to this podcast for awhile. It’s always excellent and often I hear a perspective I hadn’t considered about an issue. I also watched Senegal hours of the State Of The People event. It was SO encouraging in the true sense of the word, to build up with courage. Instead of being dragged down by the 100 minutes of poison and lies during the address to Congress, I was able to listen to people who are working to make America a better country. A favorite quote is from Alasdair Gray, “Work as if you live in the early days of a better nation.” I felt like that was the focus of State Of The People. Thank you!

Critical Thinking and Intelligence are Not Dead
I tune into this show on a weekly basis and I just love the intellectual synergy between Tiffany, Andrew and Angela. They inform, and always produce receipts to back what they are informing us on. I love this show and feel empowered and more knowledgeable after each episode. They are doing God’s work!
